I recommend downloading and running DAP. It can help sort out any driver and firmware related issues on your system

It's worked out well for many of us in the past.

You can download it direct from this link http://downloaddap.org. (This link will open the download page of DAP so you can save a copy to your computer.)

When streaming video via wifi, keep getting BSOD System Thread Exception Not Handled (bcmwl63a.sys) after about 20 minutes. If through a wired connection to the modem, no problem. After doing some research, discovered this is related to the Broadcom wifi adapter. I have updated all drivers. I have uninstalled the driver and then reinstalled the driver. Still no fix. Any help is GREATLY appreciated as I become more and more frustrated with the issue.

I just got a new work laptop Precision M4800 and it has the FirePro M5100 4k video card. I am having issues with it where it stops refreshing. The reason I know this is the problem is because if I run 2 DP monitors + laptop screen, my mouse cursor will freeze on the laptop screen and if I keep moving the mouse left I now have a mouse cursor that is moving and then the one on the laptop screen is frozen and then it vanishes. I tried multiple drivers from Dell and AMD and still having the same issue. Not sure what else I could try. If I run the laptop standalone without any other monitors it just looks like the mouse/keyboard stop working and then all of the sudden it starts working.

I've just purchased a HPPavilion 15-ak100ur gaming laptopand I've been having this problem for 2 days. I installed Windows 10, and I've been trying to download things using uTorrent, and every time I've done this, a blue screen of death described in the topic name happened after downloading for some time. I've tried Googling, most of the info I've gathered seemed to indicate it has something to do with the Broadcom Wi-Fi drivers. I've tried updating drivers. I tried deleting them and installing them again. Same error. Reverting to earlier versions of the driver resulted in different errors( like Page Fault in Non Paged Area). I've tried checking the hard drive for errors using the chkdsk command in command line. I've even tried updating the videocard drivers just in case. The BSOD doesn't seem to happen anytime else except for when using uTorrent. Nothing seems to solve my problem. I've been trying to figure this out for 2 days. I am running out of ideas on what can I do. Please help me.

Recent versions of the DW1560 driver have made my system completely unstable due to recurring BSODs which note one of three errors: bcmwl63a.sys, fault in page file, memory management.
I've run checkdisk and Dell's PC doctor app and neither shows an error, I've also done a clean reinstall of Windows 10. Only going back to the 2014 W8.1 driver has worked. Unfortunately, both Dell update and Windows update will continue to attempt to install the new unstable drivers.
This appears to be a widespread issue (see google results for "dell bcmwl63a.sys windows 10". Posting here in the hope of getting an update on this issue, or any info on a better workaround.

You aren't, by chance, using Hyper-V?  I had this problem as soon as I enabled Hyper-V.  It took a clean install of Windows to fix that particular issue.

Hello, I have a Dell Precision M4800, i7-4940MX that came with 8GB of Samsung memory.  I have installed a Samsung 850 Pro 1TB SSD in the SATA, and a Samsung 840 EVO 1TB in the mSATA slot.  I am running BIOS version A13.  I have disabled the Intel HD Graphics in the BIOS so it only uses the Nvidia Quadro K2100M.  Everything was working fine.
I wanted to upgrade to 32GB memory so I bought 2 Patriot Viper 2x8GB kit.  Model: PV316G160LC9SK.  Each SODIMM module is supposed to be 8GB PC3-12800 1600MHz 1.35V 9-9-9-24.
When I remove the Samsung memory and install the Patriot Viper memory in all 4 slots or just 2 slots, the computer doesn't boot and I receive the LED blink code "No memory modules are installed/detected"
However, if I leave the Samsung memory in two of the slots and at the same time install two of the Patriot memory in the other two slots, the computer will boot.  BIOS will show 24GB however it shows the speed of 1333 instead of 1600.  If I remove the Samsung memory, once again it will not boot with the Patriot memory alone.
Why is the Patriot memory not recognized by itself and why can't I boot from it?
I looked at the Patriot Memory with the program CPU-Z. The timing tables shows JEDEC#3, JEDEC#4, JEDEC#5, XMP-1600.  All voltages say 1.35V
Why is there no memory settings or XMP setting in the BIOS?  Why would Dell offer me an unlocked ... Read more

I was away from my desktop for 6 weeks, from 9/30 until 11/10. When I returned, there were several updates, Win and Office to install. I installed all of them, although some such as KB3200970 didn't install the first time, and installed successfully on 11/16.
KB3197954 failed to install 2x and never installed.
None of this may be relevant. I started seeing blue screens pretty regularly starting Nov. 18. I don't recall ever seeing them before since I updated to Win 10 last July, and maybe never on this 2.5 year old PC. I tried to go to a restore point but there
are none. (I used to have automatic restore points set up and I wonder if that setting got wiped out when I moved to Win 10???)
I now experience blue screens 2 - 3 times/day. Error message is always the same about "stopcode" and "system thread exception not handled." It gives a fuzzy file name that I think is nvlddmkm.sys but because it's fuzzy, I'm not sure I
have the filename correct. (I did a search on drive C for that file. Didn't find it and the two files that apparently contain that text string in the files haven't changed since '14 and '12.)
I tried running diagnostics but no problems with any of my drives. The troubleshooter for "Blue Screen" finished in under 10 seconds saying it couldn't identify the problem, so that was no help. Window's Reliability report shows no Windows failures
before Nov. 13 and has no solutions for anything.

Hi all.

Starting from yesterday (26Nov), my win10 PC jumped to the blue screen whenever idle for some time. (Not sure if it's relevant though but it never happened when I was actually using it)
Stop code is SYSTEM THREAD EXCEPTION NOT HANDLED
What failed: nvlddmkm.sys
It never restarted after 100% complete in collecting errors. I had to press the main switch every time.

I haven't plugged in any new hardware these few days. The only thing new is I have downloaded a msg viewer on 25Nov. There was no BSOD on 25Nov even after long idle time. I only browsed some images and downloaded 1 image in the morning on 26Nov. Both that image and the msg viewer had been removed but the problem still exists.

Some other information which I'm not sure if they are relevant:
-I have always turned Windows Defender off.
-I have runned the sfc scannow and it seems alright.
-Ran a full virus scan with Avast free antivirus and nothing found.
-Failed to do a system recovery because it couldn't replace the AcroPDF.fll of my Adobe Acrobat Reader

Could anyone please help?

P.S. I am an idiot in these stuff so if there's anything I need to do could you kindly describe as detailed as possible?

Many thanks!

When my computer restarts the touchpad (that I keep turned off as I use a mouse) keeps turning itself back on. This is a recent problem in the past 4 months. Previously I could use the Fn F5 key and keep the touch pad off. Now the Fn F5 key no longer seems to control the touch pad and I have to go into the control panel every time my computer restarts. This is becoming a problem.
I am still on Windows 7- is this the cause?
Something else?

Hi guys. Recently I have been getting a few BSODs. I have attached the requested .zip file of the most recent crashes (some previous ones have been wiped for disk clean-ups and reformatting etc.). Thanks in advance for any help. The only things I can think of that made the problem happen are the installation of Sandboxie and/or updating my Intel Graphics card for another program. I put my specs on my profile and the rest of my story is below in case it also helps:

I have since un-installed everything from the time I have been getting these BSODs, reformatted, updated the BIOS and a few drivers, and I still get them... although less frequently and they change a bit in type. The other things I get are appcrashes, originally with explorer.exe, and more recently with firefox, and a few other programs (it could be more frequent when I use more RAM / have more windows and Flash Player open, but also appears pretty random in some other instances).

I have tried repairing Windows but I am having errors backing up, just about managed to keep installing Windows Updates after reformatting, and I can't create a repair disk as I have no drive to do so. When I downloaded another repair disk and booted it via USB I got a few more issues like "Startup Repair Offline".

sfc /scannow also found errors but was unable to fix. I also ran a memtest86 and it had 65535+ errors before I had to stop it because it was running for many hours. I have just completed the first year with my lap... Read more

Hi n3rv.

Free up the startup. Windows does not need any other program to auto start with it, but the auto start programs often conflicts and causes various problems including BSODs.
Click on the Start button
Type ?msconfig (without quotes), click the resulting link. It will open the System Configuration window.
Select the ?Startup? tab.
Deselect all items other than the antivirus.
Apply > OK
Accept then restart.
Test your RAM modules for possible errors.
How to Test and Diagnose RAM Issues with Memtest86+
Run memtest for at least 8 passes, preferably overnight.

If it start showing errors/red lines, stop testing. A single error is enough to determine that something is going bad there.

If memtest shows no error, enable Driver Verifier to monitor the drivers.
Driver Verifier - Enable and Disable
Run Driver Verifier for 24 hours or the occurrence of the next crash, whichever is earlier.

   Information
Why Driver Verifier:
It puts a stress on the drivers, ans so it makes the unstable drivers crash. Hopefully the driver that crashes is recorded in the memory dump.

How Can we know that DV is enabled:
It will make the system bit of slow, laggy.

   Warning
Before enabling DV, make it sure that you have earlier System restore points made in your computer. You can check it easily by using CCleaner looking at Tools > System Restore.

If there is no points, make a System Restore Point manually before enabling DV.

Have you checked first of all that the wireless switch is enabled on the right hand side? Also go in to the BIOS (F2 on startup) and check that the Wireless Switch is set to "ALL" and the Wireless Device Enable is set to "ALL"
If it is still not turning on, I'd suggest updating the Wireless Driver. Follow this link [View:]
and choose Network and download the latest driver for your WLAN card. If you know the Service Tag enter that and it will list the drivers for your particular configuration. Let me know if the issue is resolved or if you are still having issues.

Hello,

Starting last week my computer started making problems, since wednesday it crashed every 10-40 minutes giving me the bluescreen error "unexpected store exception" and rarely sometimes "Memory management" in the wednesday morning i saw that theres a new windows update aviable so after a few BSODs i decided to update windows, the update changed nothing, i checked for new drivers, installed a new driver for my graphic card, no changes, i googled for the problem and found the solution to turn off fast startup, turned it off, still got bluescreens, i ran memtest and chkdsk, no errors found, i checked for fragmentation of my hard drives, C was 5 % fragmented, i defragmented it, no changes.

Because i suspected a RAM problem i went into the Bios and checked how the ram is adressed, i found out that the Ram is adressed with a lower clock and voltage than it is recomended by the manufacturer, the timings were wrong to, i fixed that, noticed that the ram workload got down, but the bluescreens continued

Then i found bleepingcomputers and looked trough the bluescreen section, i ran memtest86+ as described here https://www.sysnative.com/forums/hardware-tutorials/3909-test-ram-memtest86.html#post28391 , it ran 12 hours strait for 14 passes and found no errors, then i ran seatools as described here https://www.sysnative.com/forums/hardware-tutorials/4072-hard-drive-hdd-diagnostics.html it abortet one long test after 3 hours, restarted it, did a new long test and i... I recently bought a Dell Precision M4800 mobile workstation with a Nvidia Quadro K2100 GPU.
I am having issues on video playback - flickering and other lined artefacts towards the top of the display. This occurs during panned shots, rapidly changing images, etc. but this is supposed to be a super graphics card so there should be no problems.
I have tried playout on other monitors/projectors, all with same result. I thought at first there was an issue with the rendering of the video files I had produced from Avid Media Composer but I see the same artefacts on DVD playout and on video from Vimeo/Youtube.
Response from Dell ProSupport has been a little slow (they tell my I "only have basic support") so I'm posting the issue here in case anyone has had similar issues or knows a solution.
My guess is that the GPU is faulty, or perhaps the drivers (though I have checked if these are up to date, and they are).

Ok. I experimented with different resolutions, particularly the native resolution for the laptop monitor of 3200x1800 (I had it a t 1920x1080 so that I am able to read text - Windows hasn't resolved the scaling issue for these new hi res monitors)... Still the same artefacts during playback, although DVD playback on the Laptop monitor was improved.

Mostly this is looking for feedback from other users, and to allow Dell to see there is a problem if others have the same issues.
Just a little note about this computer :

It was purchased with a FirePro 5100m, which had all sorts of lag, issues, and perpetually broken drivers (such as ones from dell failed to allow you to set global power profiles and so on)
hinges were poping/creaking from day one the first time I opened the lid. GPU and CPU fans scraped from day one. Hinges have been replaced 2x in 2 years now. GPU/CPU fans have been replaced once as well.

the hinge thing really bothers me as the replacement set from last time is popping again, and I use the laptop docked most of the time. Id say I open the lid at most 2x a week. Dell claims there is no issue, and put out a PSA post about it that they don't cover it, indicating to me they know there is an issue. But since they switched from spring loaded barrel hinges to these *** pressed together friction sleeves they have had wobble, binding, and are just <cheap> junk I don't expect in my thousand dollar + workstation laptop.
after fighting it for nearly a year I was sent a replacement FirePro 5100m, which did the same things. A Quadro k2100m was also dispatched at the time because I was afraid it was an AMD card based issue due to the number of posts here about it.
This Quadro Card did not receive any driver updates for about 2 years, putting it well behind in some cad software, and because i do play ga... Read more

Hey, I've been having this recurring problem with BSOD. I read the BSOD posting instructions, downloaded the SF Diagnostic Tool, ran it and it said that all modules were copied successfully. I can't find the folder in my desktop, however. It's not in c:\users\[username]\desktop either. My username's folder icon has a lock in it. How can I find it?

Windows 7 created minidump of the BSOD event and this is how it looks like on BlueScreenView program.

How to find and post your Minidump Files:

My Computer > C Drive > Windows Folder > Minidump Folder > Minidump Files.

It is these files that we need (not the folder). Attach to your next post the five most recent dumps. Notice the Manage Attachments button at the bottom when you go to post the next time. You can Zip up to five files per Zip; if you only have one or two you don?t need to zip them, just attach as is. Please do us a favor and don?t Zip each one individually.

Hello Forum,

I'm new to this community and not the most computer savvy person, but I've been having this error for a while and it's starting to bug me. We recently got a new computer but as I start to use it, I'm noticing a lot of crashes and blue screen. Of the errors I've noted, the major one seems to be the "MEMORY_MANAGEMENT" blue screen. I'm currently running Windows 7 64-bit and I have about 16G of memory installed.

I did some preliminary research and many topics suggested either pulling sticks out (which I do not know how to do), posting minidump file (attached), and running a memory test (I just ran it for 12+ hours and it still did not finish, but I need to use my computer). Please help! As this is my first time posting in this forum or about computer help in general, please do let me know if you need more information. Thank you for your time!

Hello, I'm posting on here because i cannot find anything on the web, including this site to help me. I recently built my own computer and worked perfectly when i turned it on. now that it's running, it often crashes with a blue screen with the words Memory Management, even running the simplest of programs. I've tried everything suggested from some websites and nothing has worked. I ran a memory test and no errors were found. I'm entirely at a loss and any suggestions would be helpful. Thank You.

Hello All,

I reinstalled Windows 7 on my Dell Precision M4400. The install went seamlessly except there is a driver called, Broadcom USH w/ swipe sensor which did not install. Dell has set up a webpage for the driver which shows which version of the driver that goes with which machine and which OS. My machine is listed under several OS but not for Windows 7 Pro (32 bit). There is a driver for Windows 7 (64 bit) but I do not think I can use it.

Here is the webpage with the list of drivers:

Ok, so i installed 16 gigs of new ram on my pc last night, i have 6 ram slots, i got 4 new 4 gig cards, put them in, and put 2 of my 6 old 2 gig cards in, they are all 1600's so they should be compatible. last night, everything ran fine, i was gaming, on facebook, everything, no problems, i put the comp to sleep and went to bed. Got up this morning, took it out of sleep and it started crashing, blue screen of death, at first it was (i cant remember, should have wrote it down) an error message about a dump fail of some kind. happened twice, so i went in, took the old ram cards out, just ran the new ones, didnt get the blue screen of death anymore, but the "hourglass" icon wouldnt go away from my mouse. so i did defrag, disk cleanup, command prompt sfc/scannow, cleaned out malware, the hourglass went away. Now when i check my specs in dxdiag or ctrl alt del, it is reading the 16 gigs of ram, i also went to the website downloaded burned and used memtest, it ran and completed with no errors, i did the microsoft memory diagnostic at bootup, same thing, no errors.

So i thought its all fixed, and everythings fine, i played battlefield for about 45 mins, quit, went into the web browser to go to facebook, got the blue screen of death again, this time saying "Memory Management" i rebooted, it hasnt happened again since i started this post, but im confused about what the problem is. If anyone has any insight or advice, i would greatly appreciate it, i also ran ... Read more

To start with: Thank you anyone if you can help. I've tried to do as much research before coming here...

So I've done some research on the Memory Management BSOD error. It say that it's probably some sort of conflict with a new peice of Hardware...the only thing is I haven't installed any new hardware. I think that it is a problem with a program I installed called Intellisynch that I got from Yahoo so I could synch my Yahoo address book with my Outlook Express Address Book. Now whenever I I start Outlook Express, I get the BSOD, I've uninstalled Intellisynch but I'm still getting the BSOD's when I start Outlook Express. Hello,

I am having troubles with my first build. The computer works enough to start up and use some basic software, but it eventually crashes, particularly when playing WoW. Sometimes I get the BSoD with one of the two following errors: MEMORY_MANAGEMENT or BAD_POOL_HDR (something like that). I found another post saying to run Microsoft's memory diagnostic tool. When I ran the bootable CD, it got through the first test ok, then had Failures on the INVC test and LRAND test before freezing during the STRIDE 6 test.

A little extra (possibly useless) history. The computer seemed to be doing ok before I installed a Graphics card. I am not entirely sure that is when the problems started, but I have since removed the card and uninstalled the drivers.

Thanks!

System info:
Motherboard: ASUS M4A78T-E
Processor: AMD Phenom II x4 955 BE
Hard Drive: Hitachi Deskstar 1 TB SATA
RAM: 6 GB OCW DDR2 RAM (this is the best I can recall off the top of my head)
OS: Windows 7 x64
Graphics Card: VisionTek ATI Radeon 4570 (removed this. also has no support for Win7)

System: Hodgepodge. Used AMD AM2+ motherboard (a Lenovo L-A780) with a 3 core Phenom purchased from eBay a few months ago, a GeForece 8300GS PCI Express video card, and a Delta DPS-300A-15B 300W power supply (which itself has been in service for many years).

Symptoms: This is a tough one. The computer is occasionally having an issue where it'll throw the blue screen with a memory management error and then restart (or just lock up, requiring holding of the power button to get it to restart). The computer is essential to the operation of a business, so it runs 24/7. Sometimes, it'll run for days before giving the error, sometimes just hours. If it freezes instead of "blue-ing", sometimes it will not POST after restarting.

OS: Windows 7 x64; clean install by me about 18 months ago and a driver refresh after the motherboard swap. Still looks pretty clean software-wise.

Things checked: Memory test (only had time to do one test, but it did pass), drive self test (long test in data lifeguard on the SSD), FurMark (GPU ran a bit hot, but the computer did not fail), FurMark CPU test (CPU is nice and cool under load and this also does not provoke failure). Also temporarily swapped power supplies.

Files: Sysnative BSOD dump and system health report are attached both attached to this post.

Have at it, this one's got me stumped.

Hello transamraiser.

It is difficult to comment based on a single dump file .... it would have been better if you have posted it following the Blue Screen of Death (BSOD) Posting Instructions .

Anyway, the crash dump does not point to any failing driver. In this situation it would be better to test your RAM modules for possible errors. How to Test and Diagnose RAM Issues with Memtest86+
Run memtest86+ for at least 8 consecutive passes.

If it start showing errors/red lines, stop testing. A single error is enough to determine that something is going bad there.

If it does not show any error/red line, enable Driver Verifier to monitor the drivers.

   Tip

If you fail to get on the Desktop because of DV, Boot into Advanced Boot Options > Safe mode. Disa... Read more

Hi,

The MEMORY_MANAGEMENT bug check has a value of 0x0000001A. This indicates that a severe memory management error occurred.

You may run Windows 7 memory diagnostic test to check if

Hey guys I just signed up,

My computer is blue-screening fairly consistently since it was built (about 2 months ago). I've tried reformatting several times but I think it is a hardware problem (maybe the graphics card.) I get a memory management bluescreen very quickly, within an hour, of playing Skyrim. On other games it takes much longer, and if playing no games it'll happen after about 7 hours.

I originally had an SSD hooked up, with only the OS on it, but have since removed it. The same problems persist.

I've reformatted several times now and the exact same error always comes up on other games, but Skyrim causes it the fastest.

I've attached the mini-dump, and I am using the newest drivers from nvidia, etc. I've even used older drivers from nvidia.

I appreciate any help, it is driving me nuts.

32 GB of ram is allot. Are all the clock speeds of the rams same? Did you take memtest yet?

i have had some serious trouble with the new ram i put in. I have a triple channel motherboard, when i put all 6 cards of ram in,(4 gigs a piece) it reads the 24 gigs, but only uses 16, and then i started getting the blue screen, i thought maybee this was because the 2 new cards i bought were corrupt, so i took them along with the third card out, and just ran 3. Was fine for a while, then started getting the blue screen again, i ran memtest for 8 hours while i was at work, and these were the results.

#6, Error Confidence value-236
Lowest error address-0006b032cc8
highest-00000000

Can anyone tell me why this is happening? should i buy a different kind of ram? I dont know what the problem is, any help would be greatly appreciated, thanks.
