Object error Internet explorer

Q: Object error Internet explorer

Everytime i open a wepage i get a error saying "object error" i then have to close the warning box to continue.This happens with every webpage even when i go back and forward.

Does anyone know how to fix this or why it is occuring? its really annoying.

Preferred Solution: Object error Internet explorer

I recommend downloading and running Reimage. It's a computer repair tool that has been proven to identify and fix many Windows problems with a high level of success.

I've used it in the past to identify and fix everything from blue screens (BSOD's), ActiveX errors, corrupt files and processes, dll/exe/sys errors, recover lost memory, Windows update problems, defragging, malware removal etc.

You can download it direct from this link http://downloadreimage.com/download.php. (This link will automatically start a download of Reimage that you can save to your computer.)

I have this "Free Registry Fix" program that scans my registry for problems. It keeps coming up with this Internet Explorer Object problem with a high risk rating. Going to the register I find the WebBrowser key selected(Hkey>Current User>Software>Microsoft>Internet Explorer>Toolbar>WebBrowser)but I'm not sure what I can do with it, if anything. Can anybody help me with this. I'm using a XP Home computer. Thanks

There is a problem in which Flash Player stops once during the operation of the business portal currently operating based on Flash Player, so please contact us.

As a result of the verification, it is confirmed that it is not related to Adobe's Flash Player and is related to the function of Shockwave Flash Object installed in Windows 10 Internet Explorer 11.

Therefore, I would like to know whether it is possible to delete and reinstall the Shockwave Flash Object function.
And I would like to know if it is possible to upgrade or downgrade only the version of the Shockwave Flash Object (or any other related function) while leaving the version of Internet Explorer.

Thank you.

We have a COM dll which when embedded in html file and ran on Internet Explorer (Windows 7) was working fine. We were able to make call to the APIs exposed by the COM dll.

    But recently, we installed the windows updates namely
KB3074886 and

    After this, whenever we are accessing the API's of this COM dll, we are getting an error "SCRIPT438: Object doesn't support this property or method: ".  So we tried uninstalling the above two updates and saw that we were
able to access the APIs of the COM dll perfectly fine. Only when these updates are installed we are facing the above said error.
            Can someone assist us in what may be going wrong here. It will be very helpful for us as it is important for us to run with this updates installed in our system.

Thanks in Advance,

I am not an expert but I have built several databases over the years. This time I started with a template from ms access 2010 called projects. I had no problem changing it all up the way I wanted until last Friday and now I've been searching for a fix ever since. One form that I built just like all the others is giving me this error: The object does not contain automation object 'ActiveControl' you tried to run a VB procedure to set a property or a method for an object. However, the component doesn't make the property or method available for Automation operations. Check the components documentation for information on the properties or methods it makes available for automation operations.

Other forms with this same code in it work just fine. This one does not and any others that I try to build now do not.

The code is very simple. It's a combobox asking to search for and find a record. Even using the combobox wizard which auto creates this code will not work: After Update embedded macro where condition: ="[ID] = " & Str(Nz(Screen.ActiveControl,0))

The other forms have much larger code but receive the same error message. Things I've tried - debugged, made the location trusted, created new database and recreated just one form/table to be sure there is nothing wrong with my current database, found a list of other ways to write the same code (sort of)="[ID]=" & Str([ID])
Form![Information]![ID]=Str(Reports![... Read more

So I am trying to run a three of different programs for modding a game called Fable The Lost Chapters. Every time I try to run the darn programs I get the following error, followed by a string of code I don't understand that is unique to each program:

"object reference not set to an instance of an object. when i try to run a program"
The strange thing is I've never gotten this error before and these programs were all made by different people, for my OS, and no other people that I know of have encountered this particular error which means the problem is on my end. The people said I needed .net 3.5, which after some googling I learned I do.

So I really want to get this worked out so I can use the programs, and I'd appreciate any help. Thanks!

P.S. Please note that I have no experience with programming whatsoever.

A:"object reference not set to an instance of an object" error when running program

This looks like a programming bug with the mods, so I suggest getting the latest patches for the game or contacting the authors of the programs with details of the error message to get it fixed.

Hi.. I don't know if this is the right section, please correct me if it's wrong. Here is the problem:

My Internet Explorer 7 gives the error: "Internet Explorer cannot display the webpage". I cannot complete the troubleshooting. It states that there might be a problem with my firewall settings. But my Firefox works perfectly on this computer. I have completed all the steps given in this link. However, it didn't work. I cannot run MSN right now because of this. And this is not a problem that developed recently, on this computer I have never managed to run Internet Explorer.

And another point to mention: Whenever I try to visit a site via IE7, before giving "Internet Explorer cannot display the webpage" error, on the status-bar I see a warning for a second such that a "dns error" or something.

I have also searched this forum for this, I have found some posts consisting HJT logs but could not reached a solution for my problem. Could you please help? Thank you.

Hello everyone and thank you for participating in this wonderful site.

My computer is a Pentium 4, 2.80 GHz, Running Windows XP Proffessional Version 2002 Service Pack 2.
The problem I'm writing about has been there for about a year. All in all it's the same prolem ever since, but every once in a while some detail changes, like a new error message.
Every about 5-15 minutes the Start Menu Taskbar and the desktop icons disappear (Explorer crushes). Most of the times they reappear shortly after, but sometimes they don't, and then I use task manager to run explorer and then they reappear. Yet, sometimes the computer stucks altogether, and I have to restart. In addition to that, many popups open when I surfe the web using Internet Explorer. The popup changes every few days, but in between it's always the same one.
Another point is that while the crushing of explorer can occur anytime, it most often occurs while I open or close Internet Explorer windows.

Sometimes I get an error message, and as I said, they change from time to time. But still, here are 2:

Dear Tech guys,
I badly need your support. Day before yesterday (01-Aug-06) night I upgraded the yahoo toolbar and used their norton anti spy to scan. Then I shut down the system and started to work the next day. Every thing is perfectly ok except for one thing. In Windows Explorer, on any folder or drive if I double click or open I get a crash. If I do explore then there is no problem.

Below is the dialog that comes whenever we double click or open (for eg: on C:\ or any folder in the left side pane of the windows explorer. If I just keep expanding the + of the tree no problem, only on clicking the item to open the following error occurs.)

Microsoft Visual C++ Runtime Library

program: C:\Windows\Explorer.exe

This Application has requested the Runtime to terminate it in an unusual way.
Please contact the application's support team for more information.

I am running on Windows XP SP 2. I dont have google toolbar. I have yahoo tool bar installed. I have tried uninstalling it and installing it again and other combinations as well.

I have also tried sfc /scannow as well. It did not work.

It doesnt look like any adware or spyware (yahoo's norton spyware had done a complete run and no problems in the system as reported by them).

What should I do now to get back to normal operation of windows explorer.

Thanks and Regards,
Naga Kumar S

I would un-install the Yahoo Toolbar and then put Google Toolbar in, Then I would try to download .NET framework 2.0

and install it. If it tells you that you already have it re-install it anyway.

Last week my computer had a virus that I successfully removed using Malwarebytes. Since then I have been unable to access the internet using my default browser Google Chrome (instead I receive a 'This Webpage is not available.' message with the error: Error 102 (net::ERR_CONNECTION_REFUSED): Unknown error.

Or with internet explorer where the following message is received: Internet Explorer cannot display the webpage.

Yet it works fine with Firefox. I then tried signing in via Windows Live Messenger where it failed and upon doing the connection troubleshooter received an exclamation mark next to the proxy and key ports sections.

Is there any way for me to fix it so that I can have normal internet access? One major problem right now is that I cannot even upload pictures via Photobucket or even e-mail where Google Chrome gives the message: Attachment failed. This may be due to a proxy or firewall.

Any help would be greatly appreciated.

I have a form with a subform. When I try to add a record in the subform, I get the error in the title.
Here are the specifics:

The purpose of the main form is to show the financial information related to a specific project, which was chosen on the previous form. The subform on the main form displays each of the payments associated with the project (there can be infinite payments per project, and the relationships have indeed been set in the Relationships window).
The main form data source: qry_all_project_info_by_project_id (pulls data from tblProjects table)

Subform data source: tblAdditionalPayments (this is where I want to add in new payments associated with the project.

Subform master link field: tblProjects.__pkProjectID

Subform child link field: _fkProjectID (from tblAdditionalPayments)
The exact error, which pops up when adding new record in the subform: "The LinkMasterFields property has produced an error. 'The object doesn't contain the automation object 'tblProjects.'"

I've been looking for a solution for hours in over a dozen different forums, but I can't figure out what's wrong, as most people have simply been forgetting to set their master/child field or fixing the problem by re-creating the tables on which the forms are based. Neither approach has worked for me. Any help would be HIGHLY appreciated. Thank you so much in advance.

A:Solved: Access 2007- Object doesn't contain the automation object

Like everyone else who's had this problem, instead of actually solving the problem, I managed to find a work around. The actual cause of this problem continues to be completely illusive.

What I ended up doing was completely deleting the content of subform's Master and Child link fields (which let me enter new records, but not associated with any specific project). Instead of relying on this link to make sure I was making new records associated with a specific project, and instead made created a hidden field that had a default value of the correct project ID, then I linked that hidden field to the field in the table that holds the foreign keys.

So I've been trying to fix this for more than 20 hours now and I haven't made the slightest bit of progress.

The issue:

The update "Internet Explorer 11 for Windows 7 x64" fails with error code 9C59. Currently installed is IE9.
The update "KB2670838" fails with code 80004005. Google reveals that this update is a requirement for IE11.
After attempting to install such an update, "TrustedInstaller.exe" remains active with high CPU usage and high and steadily increasing memory usage. I think I know the reason for this. The "update posting information" thread tells me to post the folder with CBS logs. However, after I try (and fail) one of the two updates (or both), the CBS.log file keeps increasing with about 1mb per second which never stops, eventually growing to many gb. I think this is the reason for the "TrustedInstaller.exe" CPU usage and memory usage.

Because of this problem it's hard for me to send you CBS.Log because it's far too big. Thus, I'll attach a zip containing one of the "CbsPersist__.cab" files instead - most of them were still too large. I also included 3 other files found in C:\Windows\Logs (not in the CBS subdirectory), they're related to IE11 so I thought they could be relevant.

Things I've tried:

sfc /scannow; gives no errors at all, no integrity violations found.
chkdsk /f; took around 4 hours, changed nothing. As far as I could tell it didn't find many issues.

I run Windows XP. Using Word pad and Paint-I am trying to link an object from Paint into Wordpad. The graphic I am using is a simple outline of a coffee cup. I go through the procedure (I am taking a Windows XP class, so the steps from the book) and the results are a black icon sized box with the file extension and title of the .bmp file I am trying to link. It is suppose to be the coffee cup image. The same happens when I try to embed it instead of link it. Also as a result, I am unable to update any editing changes made to the source file.
I have tried other files from my personal pictures with the same results. Also tried embedding video files. I will get a link, when I double click on it, Windows Media Player opens with the .avi file being displayed. I should have the .avi file on my document in wordpad instead.
My instructor was only willing to suggest that perhaps it has something to do with active X.
I have been attempting to solve this myself for several days. Asking friends and instructors for assistance. I have successfully embedded, linked and updated the link on 3 other computers with the same Operating system as mine. So it is something with my computer. So far, nobody has any idea as to where to begin, except for the active X suggestion.

Thank you for any suggestions

Not sure why this is happening or how it started. But on certain websites, usually it seems when you need to type in a username and password, this little pop up box will display "object error" and you need to go into the task manager and shut down the website and start all over again. If you go back to one of those websites it will always pop up? Can anyone direct me how how to possibly fix this problem? Thanks

A:Object Error

The following addresses the webpage object error issue, it is from Microsoft Community.Use the Internet Explorer (No Add-ons) mode To do this, click Start, point to All Programs, point to Accessories, point to System Tools, and then click Internet Explorer (No Add-ons). If this resolves the issue, follow these steps to isolate the browser add-on that is causing the issue: 1. Click Tools, and then click Internet Options. 2. Click the Programs tab, and then click Manage add-ons. 3. Click an add-on in the Name list, and then click Disable. 4. Repeat step 3 until you identify the add-on that is causing the issue.

Hi all
This window started poping up last week. I have search for a fix and followed all the links that say Flash is corrupt, or java is corrupt etc and nothing make it stop. It pops up a few seconds after I open my home page then randomly as the page sits open. I'm running Windows 7 64 bit and I E 9. I ran C Cleaner to clear out all the temp files and also ran the registry fix.
I've also tried compatability mode with no sucess. Any ideas????

Can you please re-size that window, so it is possible to see full title of it?
Does it do that only for one page/website?

Can you use the snipping tool and post the picture here?

When you go to post a reply you will see "Click to attach files" in the lower left corner under the area in which you write your post in. You can click on this to browse your files, if you saved the snipped image as a picture go to Pictures and click on the snipped image, it will appear in the post you are making.

A:Ie7 object error

Does this happen on more than one website? It could be a problem with that website and not the browser. That said, you really should upgrade to IE8. The cosmetics and basic use are much the same as IE7. The biggest difference is the lack of in-line autocomplete. I found that to be a pain at first, but I got used to it. IE7 is no longer supported by MS as far as security updates and such. So, upgrading would be a wise choice. You can get it here:

Basically I have a script where it logs into a site and browses to a particular page. It then clicks a link that opens a popup window. I'm trying to get the object (-com internetexplorer.application) of the new window that popped up.
#init internet explorer window
$oIE = New-Object -com internetexplorer.application;
$oIE.visible = $true;

#browse to site

while ($oIE.Busy -eq $true)
#Start-Sleep -Milliseconds 1000;

#input login info
$oIE.Document.getElementById("username").value = "*******";
$oIE.Document.getElementByID("password").value = "********";

while ($oIE.Busy -eq $true)
Start-Sleep -Milliseconds 1000;

#browse to job task details page

Start-Sleep -Milliseconds 1000;

#find and worksheet link
$oLinks = @($oIE.document.getElementsByTagName("A"));

foreach ($oLink in $oLinks)

We are in process of IE8 evaluation, and we ran into problem, on one computer, javascript returns element reference as
[Object HTMLDivElemet] on all other computers the same code returns just [object].
We've been having this app for 6-7 years, using IE6, and a lot of logic is built on checking reference, which should return [object],
for example :
What interesting, we are testing the program on 10 PCs with IE8, and only on one PC, it returns [Object HTMLDivElement].
Please, help if someone knows any setting need to be set up.

The problem is not with your browser, the problem lies in the code of the web site. If you can find a link to notify the webmaster, then do so.

Hello! I am having some computer problems. I think my son accidently downloaded an add-on that is not safe. Any time I open internet explorer, and "object error" box pops up and I can't go to a different webpage or even click on anything on that webpage. I am having to disable all add-ons to even be on here now. At the same time that all of this started, I will get a pop up box from PC Cleaner Pro stating that there are a lot of harmful things on my computer. After doing some research, I found PC Cleaner Pro is the malicious adware. I ran Malwarebytes trying to get rid of it and I could only run a quick scan, when I try to do a full scan, PC Cleaner Pro stops it and it wasn't removed by the quick scan. Then I looked up how to remove manually and am having problems with that. The websites that give me instructions do not list the proper registry edit keys. Please help!!! What information do you need from me?
Thank you very much,
Tiffany Weiss

A:PC Cleaner Pro/Object Error

Uninstall PC cleaner pro using Revo uninstaller
OBJECT error
 If you have Privacy guard or unfriend checker uninstall them.Disabling the addon will not stop the pop up.You need to completely uninstall it.They are the main cause of object errors.

Hi, I'm new here, and I have a big problem that has been bugging me for quite some time.

I recently purchased a Lego Soccer Mania Game for my nephew. The install went fine and everything seems to be working until you are about to enter a soccer game in the game. When this happens, the screen goes black and I have to hit ctrl+alt+delete to minimize it. Once minimized I get the error that reads: A D3D object has a non-zero reference count (meaning things were not properly cleaned up). My nephew and I would appreciate any help that could be offered.

A:DirectX error? A D3D object help

Try doing this. go to Start > Run > type: "dxdiag".

Click on the Display Tab.

See if Direct 3D is enabled. (Which is what D3D is.)

If not, enable it if you can there. If you're not able to, update your video drivers. Hopefully that helps.

Anyone know how to fix this error I get this when trying to install programs such as Skype.

A:Object Already Exist Error

First of all - welcome to BC !
It can happen if the program has been installed and uninstalled before. Fragments can be left which fool the computer into saying it is already installed. You could try installing and running the Revo uninstaller, a free download. You can get it here -
It is very effective at removing traces of old programs. You may also find that once you have fully uninstalled a program that the structure - the various folders - is still there even if empty and everything is saying it has been uninstalled. If this happens, you can safely use Windows Explorer and just delete these folders, then try the re-install.

Hello, I'm new to the forums and I have a problem that has been bugging me for some time now. I've searched through google, but to no avail. Perhaps someone here could help? I would greatly appreciate it.

I recently purchased a game called Lego Soccer Mania for my nephew, and everything runs fine through installation. But when you are about to enter a soccer game in the game, I get the following error: A D3D object has a non-zero reference count (meaning things were not properly cleaned up). I am using DirectX 9.0c and it has passed the test through dxdiag.

Here are my specs:
Windows XP Home SP2
3.06 Ghz AMD Processor
1 GB DDR RAM (think the speed is 400)
128 MB Nvidia GeForce FX 5200 Graphics card

Like I said earlier, I would appreciate any help, as would my nephew. Poor guy.

Hi and welcome,
An annoying question, but one that must be asked. Did you try uninstalling and re-installing the game?
