I recommend downloading and running Reimage. It's a computer repair tool that has been proven to identify and fix many Windows problems with a high level of success.

I've used it in the past to identify and fix everything from blue screens (BSOD's), ActiveX errors, corrupt files and processes, dll/exe/sys errors, recover lost memory, Windows update problems, defragging, malware removal etc.

You can download it direct from this link http://downloadreimage.com/download.php. (This link will automatically start a download of Reimage that you can save to your computer.)

Hello Community, I hope you could provide me with a soluton for a problem below: Recently I received the Lenovo ThinkPad570 and this device is amazing. Intel Core i5-7200U, 8GB RAM, 256GB NVMe, WAN and much more. As I connected it to my home Wifi powered by powerfull and user friendly FritzBox 7430 I am having issues with my Wifi speed connectivity. After running some tests it shows me 4,5 Mbit/s download and 0.8Mbit/s upload. My PS4 runs on wifi aswel, if run a test there it goes up to 46Mbit/s download and 9Mbit/s upload. Connected phones and the tablet are working perfectly as well. I tried to install/uninstall drivers, but nothing seems to help. I just tried to connect it via LAN cable and does not even identify the network, however the FritzBox shows that the Notebook is connected, has full power bandwith etc. I tried the driver install/uninstall as well but nothing helped, still no LAN connection. So basically that is my problem and I am looking forward to receive some suggestions. If you need any additional information on chipset, actual drivers etc. just tell me what you need. Please advise. Regards,

Hey all,
Ive noticed that the upper left corner of my crt monitor seems to be shaking. If you look closely its like an extremely fast flicker maybe? I have my computer set up so that i have two large stero system speakers flanking the monitor and hooked into my computer. I was wondering if maybe the current from the speakers was causing the distortion? The monitor is at 85hz

I wouldn't have believed this unless I saw it w/ my own eyes.
Spent part of the afternoon @ a friends house diagnosing an apparent overheating problem.
Cpu (Duronģ) temp was a nominal 45įC but the screen would go black, off & on, sometimes reappearing in a small resolution. When I arrived the case was off w/ a desk fan blowing cold air. Another fan was blowing on the monitor. Even then I witnessed this black-out problem.
We decided to strip down the rig, vacumn, clean, & applying ASII to the HSF, a FOB32-1 4200rpm. Upon restarting we watched the hardware monitor & the problem reoccurred in about 5 minutes, even thought the temps were w/i limits. Observing w/ a flashlight I noticed the Voodoo5 ( a full size card) was vibrating. Holding it steady solved the problem.
The vibration?! The clue was the hardware monitor. Fan speed was in excess of 4700 rpm. The cpu fan was backwards, blowing outward. Although this shouldn't effect the cooling, the over revving fan caused just enough vibration to make the V5 shake. We fabricated a bracket & attached w/ an insulating washer to an existing hole in the card, & to the case.
Now we're steady freddy, but that was a weird thing to witness.

Wow, that is strange. Makes me kind of weary of getting a high RPM fan. Maybe my mobo can take it

The fan itself is not very loud, but I have to keep my hand on the side of my case in order for it not to vibrate. Any idea what I did wrong when installing everything? The Aeroflow is securely fastened to the MB/CPU. I don't know why it is vibrating like it is. It is very annoying.

Hello, there.  Recently, I found a very loud noise from the fan of my T440P.  I don't know what happened. Before, it sounds a little bit noisy but acceptable. Now, it sounds like a terrible vibration from the fan. I found the old post https://forums.lenovo.com/t5/ThinkPad-T400-T500-and-newer-T/Re-T440p-fan-terrible-noisy/td-p/1386373I am not sure if it's the same problem.  I checked the part number of mine by using the Serial Number, at http://support.lenovo.com/us/en/partslookupI got a different result!!! I ordered my T440P from the online shop. It's Intel 4810MQ with GF 730M graphic card, but the result shows 4710MQ. so, i can't trust the current part number from that result.  btw, my t440p is Out of Warranty now...  what a bad luck

Well the problem is unquestionably the fan. The replacement process is shown on p. 73 of the Manual here: Manual Where do you live (country)? I ask because I am not familiar with what service technicians charge for this kind of work in every country. In the US I can tell you the part would be maybe $15-20US and the labor would be $80-150. If you have some skills at following a manual and maybe a video it is something you can do yourself.  http://www.ebay.in/itm/New-CPU-Cooling-Fan-for-HP-Pavilion-M6-M6T-M6-1000-m6-1002xx-m6-1035dx-m6-/11... We are happy to help as much as possible.

Hi,

I have a problem with my NEC NR-9100A 40/10/40 CD-RW drive - everytime it reads or writes a cd, the drive abnormally vibrates so vehemently that I can feel it on my keyboard. Also it makes a very loud humming sound audible across the room. There is a very long chain of events leading up to this situation, starting with problems with Roxio Easy CD Creator 5 Platinum Direct CD support for my drive, so it disabled the driver, further complicated with the usage of Elaborate Bytes Clone CD which performed a check and said there was something corrupt in the registry and fixed it. There is a lot more to this story, but I don't think it will be of much use to explain it all.

I tried System Restore, but for some reason it says that computer cannot be restored to earlier point. This is the first time I came across this error. I use Windows XP.

As of right now, the drive reads and writes everything correctly and up to speed. The Device Manager says everything is going fine. Everything seems to be right except the vibrations, which makes me almost afraid to use the drive. The events seem unlikely to be coincidence, but it could be a software (driver messed up) or hardware(calibration? no idea) problem. What do you recommend?

Thanks,
-Dan

Hi Lenovo I've just noticed something strange happening with my 710S Plus 13 inch (it's about a month old, purchased from Lenovo's website in the UK). When plugged into a regular power socket (I'm in the UK so I'm using the UK 3-pin plug),  as I slide my fingertips on the case (eg around the keyboard or touchpad) my fingers feel this weird sensation of vibration - as though they were brushing against rubber. I've found some people experiencing the exact same with the MacBook Pro - see https://discussions.apple.com/thread/1072370?tstart=0 .  I am experiencing the same thing they describe.   If I unplug, I don't feel it.  Furthermore, if I have enough points of contact with the case (eg the entire palm of my hand, or if it's resting on my lap), again I don't feel it.  But if it's plugged in and sitting on a hard table, it's quite noticeable through my fingers. Please advise, ThanksJames

Anmoishrestha Hello;Allow me to welcome you to the HP forums! This vibration is most likely a combination of two things:1) Fan spinning2) Hard drive spinning And, in both cases, there is really nothing you can do. While you CAN slow down the fan, that will cause your laptop to overheat and shut down. You can not slow down the hard drive as it spins at a constant rate. IF your laptop is still under warranty, you could contact HP Customer Support directly to have them put you in touch with HP Technical Support to see what they can do about troubleshooting your machine remotely.I did this recently and the HP Tech was able to remotely access my PC from the Internet and do the needed repairs. If you live in the US or Canada, contact information is on this page: http://www8.hp.com/us/en/contact-hp/phone-assist.html#section1If you live elsewhere, contact information is on this page: http://www8.hp.com/us/en/contact-hp/ww-contact-us.htmlNOTE: After you get through, stay on the line until you are finally able to talk to some one -- it can take a while! If you have trouble finding a phone number, then try: 1 (800) 474-6836Good Luck

The burning utility I use only spins up to full speed if it is recording or reading a non-blank disk, so there is no way to pre-test blank media for vibration problems. Is there another utility I can use that does this?

A:Testing CDR media for excessive vibration

Find a glass table, and put the blank media on it.
Good quality, you cannot take straight from the glass table.
This is for ensure the media is totally flat, Both sides.
If not, then when you use it, it would vibrated.
Best not to use it, as this will affect the DVD-drive, as depend if yours is slot or tray type.

Hi

I hope someone can point me in the right direction to cure this buzz I get from my pc. It is very strange and I'll attempt to explain it as best I can.

I have just replaced my motherboard, cpu, memory and case and after assembling everything I began a clean install of Win7pro. At some point during the instalation I got this very annoying buzz (like an electrical buzz) from the chassis so after the installation of windows, started the process of elimination. I removed the GPU, each HD (in turn) and various other things but each time the buzz appeared once windows started to load - I can sit in the Bios quite happily with no buzz.

After a while I noticed that playing a video file in windows (either on a webpage - You Tube for example or by playing one of my files; video or audio) the buzzing would stop and also that it didn't matter whether my sound was physically turned on or not or whether the video/audio file was on top of my other open windows.

So I am now using the pc with a video running in the background (tucked away out the side of the screen) so I don't get annoyed by this odd noise.

Does anyone have any idea what could be causing windows and my hardware to interact in this way when a file is not playing?

Any help would be great for my sanity at the moment...

Thanks in advance.

Hm, so my friend's little pug chews through one of my PS2 control's wires, and I buy a new remote. But for some reason, the vibration function isn't working at all. After checking in-game on/off switches for vibration, and after buying two new remotes, it's still not working. I'm bummed and can't think of any reason why my PS2 would've gotten broken. I don't think it's a problem with the remote anymore and fear there's something wrong with the console itself.

Well, any advice is appreciated. If this is happening to anyone else, ya, message me on AIM. Err... help!

My case just started getting a loud vibration which I can feel when I hold onto the side. This happened to me a few months ago but it sounded worse, it turned out to be a bad case fan. I canít isolate what it is. I suspect that itís the power supply but Iím not sure and I donít have another one to substitute. Iím positive itís not the one case fan I have running now.

An odd thing has always happened where my case makes a similar vibrating noise every time I make some kind of hardware change, it will go away after a few minutes. I inspected all of the fans and they all visually appeared fine except for the bottom PSU fan looked like it was running kind of slow and choppy compared to the others.

I think itís the case but could this be something else before I buy a new PSU?

Iím not sure if it would be related but here are the voltages from BIOS:
CPU Vcore 1.73V
DDR Dim 2.48V
3.3V 3.09V
+5V 4.70V
+12V 12.48V
-12V -12.28V
-5V -5.40V
Voltage Battery 3.16V

Also could this cause harm to my system if I leave it running when there is this loud noise and case vibration problem?

Thanks.

Since yesterday, dv7-6100 fan is surging and / or also vibrating somewhat loudly (like bearing noise or out of balance noise).  I blew out dust as much as I could with can of air.  It did not change significantly.  The surging sound is like when a printer head prints, then zips to another location and prints again, an intermittant "zzzt.....zzzt....zzzt"  where the zzzt represents the higher spin noise or vibration.  maybe 1/2 second interval.

I have since downgraded the power plan and fan is much quieter, because it's running slower, but still has a slight vibration noise.  No surging.  There was definitely strong and varying vibration noise before I downgraded power plan.

For the past year,  on startup, computer will on occasion have black screen and message  something to the effect of "fan not working, will shut down in 10 (15?) seconds..."

I always let it shut down, then start it again and it always starts the second time. I've never noticed the fan not working other than when it just starts with that message, which seems to be once a month or so, to maybe a couple of times a  week, not every time.

The surging makes me wonder if I should try to download the driver?  Or is the vibration proof enough that the fan needs service (either dust removal, or fan replace).

Is it likely that only dust removal is necessary or should I just order a fan?

Most likely the fan is out of balance (most likely from having a loose screw). I had the same problem with me but it was worse cause I stuck a screwdriver (a thick one I might add) into the fan while it was spinning (cause I was curious lol) and it took off one of the blades >_<.

My computer case cover vibrates, making humming noise. I know this because if I gently press the computer case cover the humming is significantly reduced. I suspect the culprit may be a new hard drive that I recently installed (Seagate Barracuda 1TB). What puzzles me though is that the pressing place that reduces humming sound is on the other side of cover from where the hard drive is. There's nothing behind the spot, but CPU fan is blowing hot air that direction. GPU is 10cm lower. I don't think the case cover is directly touching any components. Cover model is Antec Sonata III silent atx.

I installed the hard drive on same spot where last hard drive was, with four screws and elastic grommets that are supposed to reduce vibrations. I think the installation itself went fine. Screws are tight and cables seemed reasonably uncrowded. How should I troubleshoot this problem?

A:Vibration on computer case cover makes humming noise.

Remove the cover so you can touch the hard drive & see if you can feel excessive vibrations from the new hard drive. You should feel slight vibrations in it as it has parts rotating at high RPM.

The vibration could also be caused by a dry fan bearing & these can get very noisy & vibrate a lot.

I looked for it on my computer and didn't seem to find it...and anyway I'd rather have someone's advice before removing a system file. Any clue?

Yesterday while playing a not strenuous game the laptop was quite hot, on my mac i had installed a fan control software (smcFanControl) where the OS would only be overridden when i chose to manually turn up or down the fan, i tried that with this laptop and the fan control software most highly recommended seemed to fiddly so i uninstalled it.  Now the laptop is running hot with the fan on for tasks like Word where it never ran hot before. Any ideas on how to fix this? Laptop is less than two months old

I have a T570 (Type 20JW) that I am trying to upgrade the m.2 drive on.  I have a WD Blue 3D NAND SATA SSD M.2 2280 (500GB) drive that is not recognized by the system.  I have read in other threads that any M.2 drive should work.  Is this not correct?

A:T570 m.2 SSD upgrade

Welcome to the CommunityThe SATA SSD you have isn't compatible with T570 as it supports m.2 2280 PCIe NVME SSD, not SATA.

I was wondering iff someone can help me out I am having issues with Thinkpad T570 and my screen looks distroted when I fire up Citrix or Remote Desktop running the graphic looks distorted.  I'd check the drive and make sure everything was up to date.  Have anyone ever experience this before?  The system is using Intel 520 and I am using T570 running Windows 7.  TIA.
