Plugin Shockwave Flash

Q: Plugin Shockwave Flash

Preferred Solution: Plugin Shockwave Flash

I recommend downloading and running Reimage. It's a computer repair tool that has been proven to identify and fix many Windows problems with a high level of success.

I've used it in the past to identify and fix everything from blue screens (BSOD's), ActiveX errors, corrupt files and processes, dll/exe/sys errors, recover lost memory, Windows update problems, defragging, malware removal etc.

You can download it direct from this link http://downloadreimage.com/download.php. (This link will automatically start a download of Reimage that you can save to your computer.)

A: Plugin Shockwave Flash

Per Google Translate:
"The Shochwave flash plugin is not loading.! I'm not able to watch tv online, or play apps face and not moving on youtube.! What do I do? A friend referred me to download ComboFix, tried and failed, is how I found you!!"

I'm having a problem with Flash player crashing on certain websites. Ustream.tv used to crash my browser all the time, but now the front page is fine (they probably changed something, but the problem still remains), but I still can't go to a channel page and view a stream. Liveleak crashes as well as going onto the Facebook video app and trying to capture video from my webcam, among other sites.

This is some issue with Flash player. I have tryied going to ustream on all my browsers that I have installed (Opera, Firefox, K-Meleon, Internet Explorer and Chrome). Chrome has a nifty little thing in it that doesn't crash the whole browser when something goes wrong and for me it says "The following plug-in has crashed: Shockwave Flash". Youtube, for example still does work. It is only on a few certain sites that my browser crashes. My other computer doesn't have these issues with Flash Player.

I have tried uninstalling and reinstalling Flash Player many times, but to no avail. I have no idea what I could do. Help?

im using Google chrome version 15.0.874.106 and while browsing the internet after awhile or using a graphic editor app/website my page will start slowing down than a window will popup with a shockwave flash plugin error message, i usually click wait instead of kill and it reloads but keeps happening too frequently, i did uninstall chrome and switched to firefox which however loaded more pages better but after awhile i got a plugin unresponsive error message on that browser too so i switched back to chrome because im more familiar with it and it must be more of a issue than just the browser. i appreciate any advice thanks
these are the adobe programs i have installed:
Adobe Air Version
Adobe Flash Player 10 ActiveX Version
Adobe Flash Player 11 Plugin Version
Adobe Reader X (10.1.0) Version 10.1.0
Adobe Shockwave Player 11.6 Version

i tried this possible fix already (didnt work on chrome instead of it saying shockwave message error it turned to just plugin unresponsive like on firefox):
Click the Settings icon (Wrench in top right)

Select Options -> Under the Hood

In the Privacy section click the Content Settings button

In the Plug-Ins section click the Disable individual plug-ins... link

Click the +Details link in the top right

You will see two entries for the Shockwave plug-in. Once will reference gcswf32.dll and the other will reference NPSWF32.dll

Disable the plug-in that uses gcswf32.dll

Hello There:  First things first...
Computer Specs  Inspiron 3647...Operating System = Windows 8.1 ...Processor = Intel Core [email protected] Ghz...System Type = 64bit
Here is the problem:  Two days ago I started experiencing this message when using Firefox:  Unresposive Plugin...Shockwave Flash May Be Busy.
This message is usually followed by Firefox crashing.  I've also noticed that my videos on Hulu, YouTube, etc will freeze as well.
These are the suggestions that Firefox suggested that I follow:
(a) submit crash reports
( remove any older versions of shockwave
© Download the flash player uninstaller and re-install
(d) Disable Webgl
(e) Turning off Hardware Acceleration
(f) Search for and install video card updates (my machine does this automatically)
I've tried all these suggestions and nothing works.  I've also notice that my videos are not playing properly in Google Chrome as well.
Is there anyone out there who can help me?  I really don't know what else to do.  Thank you, in advance

We have IE 6. Say a user goes to MSN.com. The ad on the right is a Flash object. Some of our users will see that object flickering when scrolling up or down on the page or when hovering their mouse over it. It's quite annoying. Almost all users are running Adobe Flash Player 9, but I think I've seen this happen on systems with Macromedia Flash Player 8 as well. Other systems don't have the problem. I've seen this happen on one system and not another while both seemed to have the same Flash objects installed.

Uninstalling all Flash players using Adobe's prescribed Flash Player uninstall tool seems to work at first, but users later complain again. Note that they just about always end up installing Flash Player 9 again, because sites ask for it. I don't believe I've seen this on any XP systems at all, including my own, but most of our users have Win2K.

Does anybody know why this happens or how to permanently fix it?

A:Ie 6 - Flash Objects Flickering - Using Adobe Flash Player 9 Activex R28 (shockwave Flash Object V.

More info: Adobe Flash Player 9, Macromedia Flash Player 8, and Macromedia Flash Player 10 all produce the same result--Flash objects that flicker when you put your mouse over any part of them. Moving Flash objects will flicker constantly while moving and stop flickering when the animation is done. SWF files (at least the one at www.stormwerks.com/linked/stuf/AYB2.swf) work without a problem when using Adobe Flash Player 9.

If I don't have Adobe Flash Player 9 installed, the Win2K machines prompt me to install them for almost any site that uses Flash (I guess most recent Flash objects cannot be viewed with the older Macromedia Flash Players).

Any suggestions?

I'm not really sure where to post something like this. The Shockwave Flash plugin crashes multiple times daily for me. The error message says "The following plugin has crashed: Shockwave Flash". I use Chrome the most, but it happens to me on IE and Firefox, as well. An interesting thing I've noticed is that when it happens, it basically freezes my internet connection. I can't open new tabs, open any type of Messenger service, etc. without getting an error message stating that there is no internet, etc.

In doing my own research, most people have suggested disabling the "duplicate" version of Flash in Chrome://plugins, however I only have one running. I have reinstalled Chrome, reinstalled Flash, reinstalled my AV software, all to no avail. I am at a loss here and it is frustrating, to say the least. Any help you can offer would be greatly appreciated. I value your time and effort.

I am running on Win7 and creating this post in Chrome. Please let me know what I can do to be more informative.

Hi Guys,

I've recently been to a website that required the newsest upgrade of Flash/Shockwave inorder for me to view its contents and offered me a link to upgrade it.
I followed the link where i was informed that the installation of both was successful.
When i tried to view the page agian, i got the same error.
I thought it might require a restart or something, and just passed it off for a day or two.
Now, in the last week, i've been viewing pages of all sorts telling me i need to have a newer version of Flash installed and again offering me the link, and have on more than one occasion followed it and been advised that the upgrade/intallation was succssful, yet not one single site i visit recognises this.

I'm baffled and frustrated at this stage ...

Anyone care to lend a helping hand ?

You might want to read my similar post couple of days ago in the All Other Applications forum. Had the same thing going on. I'm sure an expert helper will be along soon to offer other advice in case your problem is not quite the same.

Hello. I have been having this issue for awhile and now getting annoyed with it.

I have recently been unable to properly watch online videos (i.e., youtube videos, and other videos like movies and such). It is very annoying and this has increased recently. Netflix videos work just fine.

I do get the shockwave flash error alot and thought it might be causing the issue. The error I get is attached as a image (i took a screen shot to show you).

I've posted about this in the past and was unable to get a strong resolution, but I'm going to try again -- maybe the technology has improved since then, and the problem has suddenly gotten worse (affecting almost every time I open a page with video on it). What I'm referring to is the "shockwave flash" crashes in Forefox. I'll go the page, the browser will stop responding, then after a few seconds, a box will pop up with the heading "Warning: Unresponsive Plugin" and some text about Shockwave flash being busy. Sometimes it resolves itself, but it still causes a significant delay (usually over one minute). Other times, it tells me that it has crashed and I have to reload the page. Either way, it's extremely annoying and makes my time online less productive. Any ideas on how to resolve this? Is there some kind of alternative to Shockwave Flash that performs the same role but with more stability? Thank you!

When I turn on my computer on, often when I try to access webpages that contain flash content , such as youtube , a window appears reading: "The following plug-in is unresponsive: Shockwave Flash would you like to stop it?" with a selection of "yes" or "no"

when you click "yes", the whole of the web browser freezes and then one way or another you have to close the web browser,

If you press "no", nothing happens and according to the task manager the window is
"not responding".

However ,this problem can often be solved by restarting the computer a number of times. I have attempted to uninstall and reinstall Shockwave Flash, but with no successful outcome whatsoever.

Just this morning, right after being told to do a manual update to my AVG Antivirus software, which is supposed to do that automatically, my computer started slowing wayyyyyyyyyyy down, like something was running in the background. My AVG did not indicate it was doing an automatic scan. Ditto for Malwarebytes. Ditto for my Acronis automatic backup, which did work correctly over night. I started trying to diagnose the issue, and the first thing I did was update Ccleaner. While doing that, I got an error msg saying something like "shockwave flash may be busy or stopped running." I clicked "stop plugin" to no avail whatsoever, more than once. I finally had to hit ctrl-alt-del to turn the machine off and try again. I think I've fixed it but I don't know.

What IS shockwave flash? I've never heard of it. I never stream stuff, or download movies or music, and I almost never use youtube for anything at all.

What can I do to avoid this in the future, if indeed, I don't need shockwave flash at all.

If I need to post more about my setup, I'll be happy to do that.

Running the check within firefox, it tells me I am currently running version plugin and should upgrade to However, any attempt to upgrade (update button on the very page) only offers Flash player ? Or taking another route, Adobe Shockwave player is offered?

Adobe of course is well-known for very clearly not knowing what they are doing, but does anyone ?

A:What shockwave flash player ?

Adobe - Install a different version of Adobe Flash Player
