I'm in search for a tool to copy several folders to another computer including the given timestamp.
I would appreciate a solution just like
"Context Menu - Copy Folders including Timestamp" to make copy-process easier.

Hi all,
I have read several posts in this forum about copying cells including formatting, and I'm just not getting it for what I need.
The code is a Double Click event, and I need to toggle between contents of 3 cells that are copied from Sheet 3 to Sheet 1. I got the copying part---that wasn't hard.
What I don't get is how to do it to include the underline formatting I have on part of the text in those cells.
When cells D6 and D7 on sheet 3 are copied over to sheet 1, I need to retain the underline under the "X" (in D6) and under the "no" (in D7).

The file is attached, and the lines of code I need help with is:

I do not see and Copy in your vba code

If you want to copy the formatting use the select, copy and pastspecial, then ALL including the formatting is copied

Try recording a macro for just one slection and then checkout the code, you'll see what it does.

I run a Windows backup on my system C drive on a schedule. Watching the details this morning, I noticed it also backs up Music folders, but not their files, from another phsycial hard drive, D drive (labeled "Video-Music-Books"). Why would Win's backup include folders from another drive? And to understand better, why only the folders and not the files? Win 8x64 Pro. Thanks,

Error message

"This file does not have a program associated with it for preforming this action?"

comes up on all desktop programme shcuts. I can;t access folders and files. I can't access drives, programmes, I can't get the CMD from start, if I insert a external drive it won't open, web browser won't open, same for control panel etc. The only features I that are normal are the help and and task bar audio/power options. What can I do? I was running Malware Bytes, Spy Doc and Windows Essential at the same time when this occurred.

Sometimes the fix for drives may not work,but Folders fix work for both drives and folders

Restart the PC and see if yo u can open drives and folders

I have been setting up file history for a few people on W8 PCs
(Dont have windows 8 myself)
would be useful to include emails from Outlook (if PST) , WLM & Thunderbird
these files are kept in the AppData folders , but just by copying the data , you can restore all the emails and contacts very easily

File History backs up the Library - so can you add the Appdata to a Library ?
and include the Microsoft, Windowslivemail or thunderbird folders

I have Antispyware 2010 on my laptop and it has caused a lot of problems. IE will not open and I cannot transfer any files from the computer to removable media of any kind. Malwarebytes Anti-Malware will not run, it keeps giving me a run-time error '372' saying that the version of vbalsgrid6.ocx may be outdated. SUPERAntiSpyware did not work either. I've tried FixExe which ran but did not fix the problem of IE not opening. Oh, and the taskbar is missing. Is this fixable?

I have a two-PC LAN-
Desktop with Vista Home Premium 32-bit, 3MB RAM, dual HDs-RAID 1.
Laptop with Vista Ultimate 64-bit, 4MB RAM. dual HDs, no RAID.
LAN is based on Dlink DIR-655 giga-switch and draft-N wireless router.
Both PCs have giga NICs.

I treat the desktop as "Home Base." When I travel, I copy (manual drag-and-drop) my personal data to the laptop across the network. If I make changes while on the road, I copy teh data back to the desktop.

I keep my personal data in lots of folders in the Public Folder on each PC.

No problems until now, I have much more data on the Desktop PC.
One folder is 66GB. Within that folder I have sub folders of 16GB and 28GB.

65GB folder will not copy to the Laptop. Copy message says "calculating" then disappears and nothing has been copied.

I cannot copy the 16GB folder to another folder on the same HD on the Desktop PC.

Why not? Is there an upper limit on size of folders/files that can be copied?

Why not use an App to keep them synced all the time. Plenty of decent apps out there to do that. That way the application is only trying to copy files that have changed.

Could probably write a batch file to copy only files that have changes as well.

But if you insist on drag and drop then give TeraCopy a try.

I know to do a set of files you get -

What I need is to have this include subdirectories and I also need it to not move files that are already existing with the same modified date (I.E. I only want to move new files and all folders.

Went through and individually highlighted folders (containing pictures) to be copied onto cd-r...then clicked on "copy these folders"...everytime the message comes up that there is no disc. I take the disc out( brand new disc), put it back in...same message. I have even tried dvd drive. Nothing. Any suggestions? Want to back things up but don't seem to be able. I read on microsoft.com there is a Backup with Win XP--my understanding it's on the win xp cd...and you have to install it...could've misunderstood...because I tried that and come up with nothing. Input please....

i need to copy folders from one network drive to another drive each night. The structure of the folders are

i only want to copy the folders starting with 12, there will be a random amount of folders created starting with 12 by the end of the year it could be up to 20 folders all starting with 12, i need to use a wildcard so i don't miss any of them. i would like to put the correct process in a batch file if possible but if not i can run each night manually

I suggest xcopy with the wildcard xcopy p:\client\12*.* z:\clientbak /s/i/m should copy the files you need

Hi,
I have a folder called "Test" with three subfolders called Alpha, Beta, Charlie. I have backed up the "Test" folder to an external drive using drag and drop. When I do this, I get a message, and I select "replace the files in the existing folder".

I changed the sub-folder names to One, Two, Three and re-ran the copy process.

I now have the following folders on my backup drive in the "Test" folder - Alpha, Beta, Charlie, One, Two, Three.

This is now NOT a copy of the original "Test" folder, which only has three sub-folders.

Don't know of a way to keep it from being copied except password protect it from being opened.

But if they have to open it they can copy it.

The only other thing I can think of is to set the permission to only those who you trust with it.

You might want to check this site out and when there if you can't find a solution email Dreamboat and ask her. She will be more than glad to help you if it can be done.

If so post back I'd like to know myself if it can be.

I need to assign different sets of documents to different sets of folders. Even if I highlight the folders I want to assign the documents to by holding shift or ctrl keys I can only paste to the folder my cursor is hovering over.

This will take several hours each week to do so any help is greatly appreciated!

OK....so I'm seeing some very poor performance and strange issues here.

I have a DVD-R with 3 folders with each folder having about 50 pictures (each picture is about 20mb). If I open the disc and try to copy all three folder onto my HDD, you can hear the drive head seeking like crazy and I get maybe 2MB/S transfer.

If I cancel the copy the drive continues to spin and seek for quite some time even though nothing is being done? As a matter of fact, I pretty much have to eject the DVD to get the drive to stop spinning/seeking.

So...if I eject it, then reinsert it the drive is fine.

NOW...if I try and copy just one folder to my HDD, rather than selecting all 3 at the same time, the drive doesn't seek like crazy and I get my normal sustained 15-18MB/S transfer.

I have tested this on my laptop, and on another desktop computer and found the issue to be replicated on all three systems (all have different CPUs, HDDs, and DVD drives)...which are all on Win7.

So what is going on here?

If I had to guess...the files on the disk are physically in different sections so the head has to move often instead of in a more linear fashion. When you select all there folders the contents are probably getting shuffled around in the queue.

I was working on a computer running XP Home. I was trying to backup the documents/files to an external hard drive. The account I was logged into was an administrator account, but not THE administrator account. I tried to backup using the XP backup button through manage HD functions. The button for backup didn't even exist! Just blank space (perhaps that's a non-feature of Home that exists in Pro). Then I tried to copy/paste user docs folders. Some copied over just fine but three users accounts came up with the same error when I tried to paste them. Something like "cannot be created or replaced" along with a comment that it could be hardware or software problem. Also, I could not open the main user folders "access denied" even when logged on as that user. Yes, it seems the OS is fubar but that increases the need to do a backup so the HD can be nuked and reinstalled.

I tried connecting an external HD to the computer, booting up the computer using the primary HD. When I had problems with the OS, I removed the HD, changed it to slave and put it in another computer so I could go around the OS. Of course, I also connected the external HD. Still no joy. I also tried another external HD. Anything I can do from command line? Any ideas for me?

You could boot into safe mode and try copy/paste. Sometimes it will work from safe mode. Do you have the Windows Home cd? By default, Home doesn't install the back-up utility. You have to install it manually. 1.After inserting the CD-ROM, open Control Panel's "Add or Remove Programs" utility. In the "Add or Remove Programs" utility", click on the "Add New Programs" button, then click on the "CD or Floppy" button. 2. In the "Run Installation Program" dialog box that appears, navigate to the VALUEAD/MSFT/NTBACKUP folder on the CD-ROM and select the file NTBACKUP.MSI. Click on the "Finish" button. OK, This is my first post here... My Win XP won't boot. It's a Dell Desktop. I start the PC and it right away brings me to the screen asking if I want to start in safe mode, safe mode with networking, safe mode with command promt, last known good config, or start normally. Nothing will boot windows it just brings me to the blue screen. I can't even seem to get the DOS CMD promt. I can bring it to a friend of mine to reformat it for me but will loose the contents of my C: drive. All I need is to copy about 10 folders on my desktop to another drive. How would I go about doing this? My other question is this, Do I risk just transfering the virus to the other drive or computer i copy the files to? BTW I have an external USB HD, a card reader and a good laptop to transfer the files to. I don't care if it takes me a week to transfer all the files I just need them before I reformat. Thanks for any advice in advance guys....

Hi All - I'm setting up a simple backup using Second Copy (SC). I can set the SC software to automatically "sync" specified subdirs on my laptop's hard drive to a 1.5 TB NAS (Drobo FS).

My question is which folders do I want to keep safely copied. I know I want to safeguard "My Documents" (a/k/a: "C:\Users\ShepJim\Documents") -- that's where all my stuff is. And, while not as important, I'll have to make arrangements for "My Pictures" and "My Music."

My head starts to spin when I look at other data repositories. I know that all Eudora's email mailboxes are in "C:\Users\ShepJim\Application Data\Qualcomm\Eudora",

But, then there's also the "\AppData" folder whose "\Roaming\" subdirectory seems have a backdoor entrance to the same email data in "C:\Users\ShepJim\AppData\Roaming\Qualcomm\Eudora"

Are
"C:\Users\ShepJim\Application Data\Qualcomm\Eudora" and
"C:\Users\ShepJim\AppData\Roaming\Qualcomm\Eudora" the same but with different names?

Question 2)
Do I have to play it safe and copy/sync the entire "\Users\ShepJim\" and all the sub-folders? That appears to contain a bunch of junk that I would not really need to get going again in the event of a disk crash or whatever.

I'm sure there is a reason that Microsoft has the files directory structure turned back inside itself like a Moebius strip?

First post here, not sure if this is the right subforum. I've searched for similar threads but didn't find any - please let me know if I missed them.

I just bought a new computer with Windows 8. It's fully updated, but I'm having a problem with the copy function. When I copy a folder with files in it, sometimes the files all show up in the destination folder without the source folder. For example, I copy folder "A" and paste it into destination folder "B." What happens is that all the files from folder "A" show up in folder "B" but without folder "A." Please let me know if this doesn't make sense.

This is frustrating especially for the complex array of folders and subfolders I am trying to copy, which would take hours to manually arrange.

More background: This hasn't happened every time. I'm copying folders and files from an external hard drive to the internal hard drive (with the OS) on my new computer. I've successfully copied a folder with not much in it to the desktop, and also one to another location. It has never worked when I've tried to copy all of my documents from the other computer - many gigabytes, thousands of files, many videos and pictures as well as MS Office files.

Is it the volume (number, size) or variety of things I'm trying to copy that's messing up? That seems like it shouldn't be a problem. It worked in Windows XP.... (my old computer).

Yes, I found the same problem. Chronological files from 2002 to 2012 copied to Windows 8 resulted in many errors. An entire year was 'missed'. Many had incomplete days, where only half of the month was copied. I had to manually double-check the entire 30,000 files.
I have also found that the new 'delete' without the 'are you sure' option is not to be trusted, and may delete 3 to 4 consecutive files.
The system is inherently unstable for power users.

I'm running Vista Home Basic on an Acer aspire 5735.
I'm trying to copy the contents of my usb stick to my HDD but nothings happen when I try.
I can copy individual or a selection of files but when I include a folder or folders in my selection nothings happens.

My HDD is NTFS and the USB stick is Fat32. 8Gb Kingston

Anyone any ideas

Found the problem. There was a corrupted file in one of the folders. Mind you, an error message would have helped me out.

Create sub-folder for each contact .....
Open WLM > right click at your account > New folder > enter name of a contact, i. e. Mary Jo
Go to the Imported folder > right click at Mary Jo's folder, if you have one made for her in Windows Mail, if not, right click at Mary Jo's e-mails > click Move To > navigate to Mary Jo's sub-folder > click Move.

If you do not have Move To option in your rightb click menu....

Drag/drop has one shortcoming. It has the potential danger of dropping to the wrong folder if you let go the HOLD too soon, not to mention it is tiring to HOLD when you have a lot messages to drag/drop.
Move To or Copy To in the link I gave you is the safest and fastest way to tranfer quantity of messages of an entire folder.

I'm running windows 7 Ultimate (up-to-date) and certain folders (mostly folders in my box sync map and program files) are treated as if they are in use by a program but process explorer tell's me that only system and explorer.exe use them. I don't know if system should be using folders or if explorer should do so even when I am not viewing the folder. I can?t overwrite the files inside but I can move or delete them and copy the file in after. I can also not rename the folders.
Any idea's of how to solve this?

It's not a good idea to mess with files and folders in the Program Files folder. The Program Files folder is a system folder and the location for your installed programs. Mess things up in there are some of your installed programs may not work correctly or not work at all. You could also mess Windows up. What is it exactly that you are trying to do?

I recently purchased a Buffalo ministation to save my folders to as a back up. I've copied some folders no problem (one up to 5.38gb) but now it is telling me (on a folder smaller than 4gb) that it cannot be copied. I formatted the hdd to NTFS as soon as I got it, so it isn't that.

I have a large group of 3000 folders and in them, there are the seletion of subfolders as shown below.

Property 1
-Gas
-Electric
-Asbestos

Property 2
-Gas
-Electric
-Asbestos

etc

I need to create a CD containing all Gas information so I was hoping to find a way of copying the folders so that the root folders, "Property 1", "Property 2" etc are still there but only contain the Gas subfolder.

The only way I know of is to copy the whole thing somewhere else and delete the subfolders I don't want but I don't have the hard drive space - the above list is a simplified version!

I remember "installing" this option via TuneUp 2009 in my XP, but I don't want to load another program to my set up...

Hi Guys,

i have a collegue at work who is trying to copy some of her folders in her outlook, to a shared area so other members of staff can access them too.

i have not much experience with outlook so i not sure where i would look, i have tried the copy paste but that doesnt work.

Just wondered if any one would be able to help, if you need any more info i will try my best to answer.

my music collection is like Artist Folder/ Album Folder / song.mp3.....along with song file there are folder.jpg...i want to copy the folder.jpg to its parent folder (the Artist Folder)...is there any program that will let me do that easily?

sorry to bother and disturb all of you,but i found out the reason behind my problem.actually i installed an application "teracopy" for copying files faster between disks/partitions,and it was causing all the mess. all are advised not to install "teracopy" with windows 7.thanks for ur great support and cooperation.

Well, I did a really stupid thing. My system drive was failing so before it died I went into panic mode and made a complete copy of my C: - system drive on a data drive. This of course included the "Program Files", "Program Files x86" and "Windows" folders. Now that I've replaced my system drive I just can't delete these folders no matter what I've tried. My main account is an admin account and I've even tried logging in as the built-in Administrators account but no matter what I do I can't delete these folders. I've managed to delete some of the files in these folders but definately not all. It's only taking 300MB but on an SSD this is significant.

Does anyone have a suggestion?

hi all,

Going wind7 soon. Want to copy folder lists and files/contents in window explorer and print them out, then compare with the folders etc on my external HD backup to make sure whats there and if I need to save anything else.

Is there a software that will do this, or way to copy/paste or something similar?

suppose there could be print screens or snip tools but that sounds like a lot of extra work.

Well, it's probably not the easiest way to do it, but you can go to any Windows Explorer list in Windows Explorer and do a Prt Sc (or in my case Fn key + Prt Sc). Then paste the image into WordPad and save it as a Word doc. Note though, that when you do this step, it appears to "save" in Rich Text Format, but when you try to open the Word doc, you may have to do a Save as, into RTF again.
Then, when you go back into Windows Explorer to access the file, strangely, the image you printed is saved as a folder, and within the folder is the Word doc in which the image is actually printed.

Hello folks,

I have a task of sorting 3120 pdf files into various folders depending on their topic. These are all research papers I have downloaded over the period of last 12 years. Was using a bilbiographic application to keep them in check, but after a decade, it failed. Now I have 3120 pdfs in One folder. These files relate to 6 different projects I work/worked on. I need to sort them to the respective folders so that I don't fiddle around the old files, those I need but don't use on day to day basis.

Sorting them on date is not a solution.

I use 'Everything' to search files on the drive. I used some keywords to 'filter' the files and sorted about 50%. Now I need to sort rest of the 50%. I will have to go through them one by one.

So the question is, is there any way that I can run a folder comparison utility and it spits out the UNCOMMON files in a new folder. Deduplicating applications delete the common files, and I want to separate uncommon files.

Anybody has a pointer? It may be very easy with the right utility, but as you see, I am not well versed with this.

What is your definition of a "common file"? Same filename? 1:1 binary duplicate?

I`ve been using inCd4 by nero for quite sometime in my ibm laptop running w2k pro without any problems using an external(usb) dvdrw by nec (ND3500AG).My problem started when I bought a desktop running xp home and I started swapping my external dvdrw (nec) between the 2 system.I was not able to run inCd4 in Xp due to compatibility issues and I`ve already given up.Now in my laptop, whenever I send files and folders to inCd there is always an error which says "cannot copy files and folders an internal error occured".Just wondrin` what that error could be and just days ago I don`t have any problems with it. I will appreciate very much any suggestions or solutions about this issue.Thanks

I have two hard drives, one for OS files the other for data files. For OS files I use Macrium to back up the drive. For data files I copy the contents of the drive onto an external hard drive. I firstly rename the folders on the external drive, e.g. from "Music" to "Music old", then I copy the Music" folder from my PC to the external hard drive. Then I delete "Music old". That's because my external drive has enough capacity for both "Music" and "Music old", and I don't want to wipe the backup disk until I've copied everything over just in case I lost the source data during the backup.

At least, that is what I always used to do until recently.

Recently I've run into a problem. When I try to copy "Music", I now get an error message saying "Music old already exists on whatever external disk, do I want to continue" then have the option of merging or not continuing. I don't want to merge the existing external drive folder, I want to make a second, newer copy of the original folder. And I'm not even copying a folder called "Music old" onto the external drive since the original that I'm backing up is called Music, and on the backup disk I want it to be called Music too. I've tried dragging and dropping, and right clicking, copying and pasting, but no luck. Am I missing an obvious step somewhere, have I misunderstood something really dumb about how to copy folders between drives, or is Windows doin... Read more

I posted this in the Vista section when I found that I could not right click on items(files or folders) in my windows browser. When I would the browser would lock up and give me the program is not responding message until I ended it with task manager. Last night while typing a post I hit backspace and it returned the browser to the previous viewed page.

Today I noticed that I not only could I not right click, but when I checked a file and hit delete it did the same thing. So I can't delete, copy and right click on files or folders.

The last thing I noticed is that I can't open up a program from the recently used section over the "start" button on the bottom left. I have to actually click on a file or go to the All Programs folders.

Here is what I posted in the Vista Section..... I can right click to copy and paste from Internet Explorer apparently.

I can't use right click without my computer locking up. If I click on a file I get a program not responding error and have to use Task Manager to shut it down. If I right click on start buttom or other places on the desktop, the computer just locks in "think mode".

Ran Malwarebytes Anti Malware.. nothing.

Ran CCleaner and it "fixed" what it found but nothing changed.

Any thoughts on what I can do here?

I was able to use right click to get this info. Nothing comes up for each field though??

Running Win 7 and have huge (57GB) photo/video folder.
copy(cntl-C) but I don't know what it does when it asks "what do I want for the 250 conflicts?"

I'm looking for a fast reliable way to copy/merge folders so only "new" or "updated" photos get transferred to my ext HDD.

A friend left my country and returned to the States. But she left her pendrive behind. I call it pendrive but in many places they call it flashdrive. Same thing we are talking about I believe.
 
It contained only a small variety of country music that barely made a dent in her 8 GB flashdrive.
 
She apparently is no fan of classical music except for Chopin and other relaxing stuff. But she is curious.
 
I think that, if she begins to listen to some other classical music, of which I have a vast collection, she may begin to appreciate some. There are very many composers who have produced smoothing tracks like the ones she says she likes. Even J.S. Bach, whom she says she cannot bear.
 
I copied different tracks from different composers and put each composer in a folder + some important tracks of a few composers on another folder.
 
For instance, I put Bach (a small selection of works) in one folder, but opened another folder for Brandemburg concertos and another for major organ works.
 
In the case of Mozart there is one folder dedicated exclusively to his famous Requiem.
 
In all, I created 101 folders in the pendrive and filled it up. And 7.48 GB of music is a hell f a lot of music.
 
But I am a music fan and have a very extensive collection from which I chose some tracks and, depending on the composer, put those tracks in a folder which I named by the Composer's name.

You can use the dir command.dir $PATH /s >> "%userprofile%\Desktop\List.txtSwap the $PATH with the path of the folder with all the music (if it's a pendrive, the letter is fine, like E: or E:\Music) and then launch the command in the command prompt. This will output a list of all the folders, subfolders, files, etc. in a file called List.txt that will be created on your desktop. Example...

I'm copying folder A on external drive E to folder B on external drive K. Folder B is an older copy of folder A which I now want to update so that I have an identical copy of folder A on drive K. I'm calling the copy of folder A on drive K "folder B" just for simplicity. Folder A is 27 gigabytes, 121 folders, 4,000 files.

When I copy A to B the system copies just the new files and after awhile tells me that there are copies of the remaining files already in folder B so I click on cancel or skip remaining files. Then just to be sure I copy folder B back to folder A and it finds a couple hundred files that it says are not in folder A so it adds them then tells me the rest are already in A. So next I just want to be really sure they are both the same so copy folder A back to folder B again, but it starts copying another hundred files from A to B.

I have done this back and forth thing over 20 times till I got completely bored doing it and every single time it copys more files from B to A, then more files from A to B, then more files from B to A, then more files from A to B and on and on. If I look at the properties of both A and B they are identical, same number of bytes, files and folders. But the copy process never sees that they are identical. It will forever think there are some files in A that are not in B and that there are some files in B that are not in A no matter how many times I do this cross copying.

Okay, here is a good question, maybe one that has been asked before but here it goes.

I like most people have an ext hard drive (multiple actually) and I update it weekly, monthly depending on which one, in this case my music. I do download alot of music and have been copying all of my Vinyl (big black diskshaped media used to play music and such with a record player) and my old tape collection (again a type of media that was used to play music or other media). Now when I copy the "My Music" folder to my ext. hard drive it tells me the usual song and dance such and such file already exists do you want to replace with this such and such file, click yes, yes to all or no. If I click yes to all just to put the new files in the folder it overwrites the existing files and sometimes and this is what really gets my teeth clinched and my heart rate to near explosive levels, the overwrite corrupts a song or two or who knows how many and I have to find that song again and reupload or download or copy from my aging music media (some of which I am suprised to get that one more play our of).

Now this is not just in my music but in all the folders / files I copy and back up. What I would like to know is, is there a way to copy a folder with new added files without overwriting the data that already exists? I am using Windows XP pro on a Dell Vostro 1000, I don't think the computer matters as this happens on my work computers too and other computers I have including my Mac.... Read more

FWIW: I copy music, video, and other files...into folders where the same file or earlier file with same name exists...and I don't recall any instance of file corruption from such.

The obvious (IMO) answer is...either rename the file or copy it to a different folder.

Windows cannot allow 2 files with the same name...to coexist in the same folder, same file path. Such would lead to chaos for the system.

Thus the overwriting mechanism when a filename existing is added to a file location already occupied.

Hi,

I'm really struggling to find a solution to this. I have a music collection 260gb which has a mix of codec's mp3, flac, wav, mp4.

I need to pull out all the flac files and move them to a new drive keeping the original folder structures on the new drive, as they are by artist/album and I have way too many to do this manually..

It's driving me mad

Any thoughts?

I want to copy folders from an XP machine to a W7 machine. Is there a way to do that and keep the original folder dates? I copied a folder that had many sub-folders. The individual files maintained their original dates but the sub-folders did not - they all had the date of the move.

As it easier for me to find things based upon the date order in which I added them, it would be most helpful to maintain the sub-folders original dates. Is there a way to do that? If there is a way, should I use XP to copy to the W7 machine or use W7 to copy from the XP machine?

Hi, so i decided to use a background image for my flash drive..and i even went all out and am even using a custom icon...i know....lame. But it serves a awesome purpose when i have a ton of other drives to distiuish from.

Any ways...i want to copy my custom desktop.ini file and background image to all of my folders that i have on my flash drive...several hundred. So needless to say i dont want to to this one by one to each folder.

Any ideas or a simple program that will copy files to all selected folders?

You should be able to create a for loop with a batch file to recursively copy to a destination.
