I recommend downloading and running DAP. It can help sort out any driver and firmware related issues on your system

It's worked out well for many of us in the past.

You can download it direct from this link http://downloaddap.org. (This link will open the download page of DAP so you can save a copy to your computer.)

?My computer model is Yoga 500 14ISK. 11 April 2018, Lenovo announced a new BIOS update for this kind of YOGA series laptop. Here is the following lenovo support link explain what was the problem and information about BIOS update: https://pcsupport.lenovo.com/ca/tr/products/laptops-and-netbooks/yoga-series/yoga-500-15isk/download... But the problem is when I try to update new BIOS vesion the system gave me this error:------Error: not enough battery life. Current: 0, threshold: 30ERROR 220 - Failed at power status check! Status = 223.-----What I understand is, because of my battery has %0 charge and I need at least %30 charge for BIOS update, system is not updating BIOS version. Before you suggest that my battery is not removable and I cannot reach unless if I remove all laptop. And also I cannot charge the battery because it is not possible for some technical issues. So where I stand is and main question that; how can update new BIOS version while I have %0 charge without any error. Thanks.

I have been suffering the, what seems common, screen flicker issue with my yoga 500 when on battery. After reading through some threads i discovered the problem was either, Drivers or Bios. After trying both drivers from lenovo themselves, and the latest from intel/nvidia the problem still remained.i then tried updating the bios. After windows shut down, the Phoenix bios updater stated a message that the bios had been sucessfully updated. The laptop then restarted and no longer posts or goes into windows. The Nova button also has no function and just causes the keyboard to illuminate and the fan to spins for 10 seconds before stopping.(Same as power button)Any advice?

Hi my friends, before I say what is the problem and which process I passed last few weeks. My computer model is Yoga 500 14ISK. 3 months ago it started not charging battery and I think that is just self protection for battery and I didn't care for 2 months, because I wasn't using battery anyway. But But when I search internet few weeks ago I realize that is a system problem. Also after decrease to %0 and  when I plug in the electricity, it wouldn't let me open computer at least 10-15 minutes. Then I started to search solutions. These are what I did so far: First, I check battery if it is okey, and because of only 2 years old laptop and I didn't use battery so much it says battery is healthy like new one. Second, I found the lenovo optimizer program and try the calibrate the battery, I started program and wait for 8 hours. At the and it said unsuccessfull and also said battery not detected. Then finally, I think maybe it is because of bios update needed and I was correct. 11 April 2018, Lenovo announced a new BIOS update for this kind of YOGA series laptop, Which is must be good for me, and must solve the problem. Here is the following lenovo support link explain what was the problem and information about BIOS update: https://pcsupport.lenovo.com/ca/tr/products/laptops-and-netbooks/yoga-series/yoga-500-15isk/download... But the real problem is when I try to update new BIOS vesion the system gave me this error:------Error: not enough batt... A couple of weeks ago, Lenovo Vantage offered a bios update to version D3CN38WW. However, after I installed it, it seems that my battery cannot be charged any further than 15%. Also, charging from, say, 10% to 15% takes ages. Prior to this bios update, I never had any issues with this. I do not use the laptop a whole lot and when I do it is always connected to AC power. At first I already noticed that the battery level was lower than I expected (~40% while I use the battery preservation mode, so I had expected something around 60%), but this week I saw that it had dropped really low and that it won't charge past 15% anymore. What I tried to resolve it: - Charge the laptop while it is turned off. Doesn't do anything, the power brick hardly generates any heat. This would rule out any OS/software issues.- Try different settings (i.e.: turning on/off) for battery preservation and quick charging in Lenovo Vantage. None of these helped. What is peculiar is that Lenovo Vantage says that the battery's condition is good, but that the charger has limited support. The last thing is particularly odd, as it is the charger that came with the laptop when I bought it. I do not know that it said prior to these problems, as I usually didn't pay much attention to what Vantage was saying. As far as I can see, the bios update introduced this problem. I contacted customer support, but they say that my warranty has expired and that I should try calling the (very expensive) ... Read more

I got a notice on my laptop saying there was a critical update, so I clicked ok go ahead with it. Now that this problem has occurred and I've been hunting for a solution I see that people generally warn against doing BIOS updates. Unfortunately I didn't know about that and was just naively letting the laptop go ahead with whatever updates it wanted. Too late now. My laptop shut itself down like it was going to restart, when I looked back over ten minutes later it was still sitting with a black screen and LED light on. Unresponsive to anything. It's been two hours now.  To make matter worse, I'm trying to contact Lenovo customer support and keep getting a "document not found" page error when I try to get to the contact information on Lenovo's website. This forum is apparently the only thing I can access. So.. any advice? I'm in a complete panic here as I heavily depend on that laptop for a number of things and having it not work puts me in a really bad situation.

I have a TP S1 Yoga (Model 20CDCTo1WW) running Windows 8.1 Pro 64bit. I utilize it mostly at work and have it hooked up to a Thinkpad Onlink Pro Dock.  I use the dock to run two external monitors, for connecting to our network (through an ethernet cable) and utilize the USB ports on the front/back to hook up a wireless keyboard/mouse, for powering my phone and for thumbdrives.  I had the problem of the Onelink having port "flapping" issues (network would disconnect and connect at random times) as discussed elsewhere in these forums.  The solution that I found was to update the bios.

I proceeded to attempt to update the bios (which I had not done since I purchased it in January 2014).  The current bios version is: GQET32WW (1.12), 1/22/2014.  I downloaded the TP Yoga bios update utility for Windows 8.1 (64-bit), Version 1.18.  I read the README and then ran the utility.  It installed the utility software to a location on the local drive ("c:" ) and then proceeded.  I went through the setup screens, selecting the "Update ThinkPad BIOS" clicking through a few more text boxes (with the warning about not powering off, keeping it plugged in, etc) until it asked to reboot. I clicked OK to reboot, which it did.  This is the next thinkg I seen on the screen:

I have a type DY20 Thinkpad Yoga 14 and foolishly accepted recommended Lenovo System updates including a bios update. Shoukd have known better. The system will not boot at all now. I started the update from within the Lenovo maintenance system with 90% battery and AC plugged in. When i checked things 30 minutes later after the screen said shutting down i discovered the power button on and function key lit but no action. I just let it sit all night. Today no change and i can power off the system with the button but can't force it to boot. The laptop had been working perfectly before this misguided bios update. The system is out of warranty. Is there any possibility of recovering the old bios or any other recovery method?

This laptop refuses Windows 7. How are you supposed to install Windows 7 successfully to this machine? It does not matter how you prepare the media installation, what distribution image you use of the operating system, what settings you enable and disable in the BIOS. All install attempts result in the freezing of the Windows 7 logo followed by a blue screen that says The BIOS in this system is s not fully ACPI compliant. This ridiculous error is usually fixed by simply updating the BIOS which is already current. There is no option to change the disk controller settings and there is no option to specifically enable Windows 7 support other than optimized defaults.  ModelLenovo Yoga 700-14ISK BIOS VersionBCN26WW CPUIntel Core i5-6200U  BIOS TogglesFailed: Dsiable FastbootFailed: Enable FastbootFailed: Enable UEFIFailed: Enable Legacy SupportFailed: Toggle UEFI First, Legacy SecondFailed: Disable Wireless ControllerFailed: Disable Trusted PlatformFailed: Disable SecurebootFailed: Disable OS Optimized DefaultsFailed: Enable OS Optimized DefaultsFailed: Move USB media to all three USB ports Rufus Installation PrepationFailed: MBR UEFIFailed: GPT UEFIFailed: BIOS OR MBR  Rufus Installation PrepationFailed: Injecting Intel 6th Generation USB 3.0 drivers to the intsallation media via dism

Is it normal to have a higher version with a lower date? Could I base only on dates to choose which drivers to install? What do you advise me to do? Install all the drivers on the webpage? Thanks.

What: Yoga 710-14ISK Laptop (ideapad). Problem: cannot create New Folder on Desktop Process: I right-click on my desktop to create a 'new folder,' I get the usual list of possible commands. I scroll to 'create new,' in order to create a new folder, the computer freezes for a second, the cursor becomes pixelated, the whole screen goes black for half a second, and then, seemingly, it returns to normal. However, it closes out of the right-click box with all the commands, the cursor starts to freeze for about 3-5 seconds every 1-2 minutes (I can still click, but the cursor is frozen), and I lose the ability to use the TouchPad to scroll vertically and horizontally. I have been able to restore the TouchPad and cursor by uninstalling and reinstalling the driver, but I am still unable to create a New Folder on the Desktop. I have tried to bypass the issue by creating a New Folder via File Explorer, but the same issue occurs.  I would appreciate any suggestions.

Hello everyone! I ama new user and i am coming up with this post as I couldn`t find any kind of solution for my problem.Recently I decided to do a reinstallation of my operating system, which also previously was Windows 7 Ultimate (x64). The installation went as usual, and after finishing it I went on to install all the latest drivers from the Lenovo site, for my product. When getting close to installing almost all the drivers i`ve needed, i stumbled upon a new version of the BIOS amnd the drivers and sfotware recommended for my laptop, by the producer. So i proceeded to install the upgrade, restarted the computer when it prompted me to do so, but after the so-called restart the laptop did not boot up as usual. At first it was telling me to not do anything as the BIOS is being flashed and then it was telling me something about some sort of image processing, things that i did not understand at the time (i have never encountered anything like that). After that my screen turned black. I have not done anything for a few couple of minutes as i thought it was supposed to be like that, but then i just force shut it down and unplugged the AC adapter. When trying to boot it all up again, the only thing i got was a black screen and nothing else. After doing a little bit of research it appears that, somehowm i`ve managed to corrupt the bios on my laptop or something, and nothing else would work at this point. I tried to remove the BIOS battery and the ram and then put them all back, trye... Read more
