Q: Csrsc.exe error, Drwtsn32.exe error, explorer error

Preferred Solution: Csrsc.exe error, Drwtsn32.exe error, explorer error

I recommend downloading and running Reimage. It's a computer repair tool that has been proven to identify and fix many Windows problems with a high level of success.

I've used it in the past to identify and fix everything from blue screens (BSOD's), ActiveX errors, corrupt files and processes, dll/exe/sys errors, recover lost memory, Windows update problems, defragging, malware removal etc.

You can download it direct from this link http://downloadreimage.com/download.php. (This link will automatically start a download of Reimage that you can save to your computer.)

A: Csrsc.exe error, Drwtsn32.exe error, explorer error

I have reasons to believe that you have a file infector onboard.
Please visit this website - http://virusscan.jotti.org
Submit the file for a comprehensive scan & then post the results back here.

If it's virut, you need to wipe the machine immediately. Do not connect this machine to another one for you will infect that one too

I get these two errors when I right click on desktop or on some folders or when I want to paste a file.
I got this error since this morning.
I have been searching google for over an hour and I have seen many similar errors but I cannot find a solution.

edit: I have read this could have something to do with codecs? Yesterday I installed a codec pack and VLC dvd player, but I didn't have the problem yesterday...

Will it looks as thought I have picked up a new bug!
I have been running Sygate Personal firewall for over a year with no problems until now! when I try to run it, pop up says Sygate Agent Firewall has encountered a problem and has to close.

info says:
szAppName: smc.exe szAppVer: szModName:wgman.dll szModVer: 1.1.1222.0 offset:00002b75

I have reinstalled the app with no luck.

Now, as long as I don't close the pop-up, sygate stays running and working. after I tell it "Don't Send" error report, I go to Taskman, and Drwtson32.exe is running. sometime it will give me an error, other times it just hangs. I end process on Drwtson32 and Sygate close's! Also, I have been getting an error in Drwtsn32.exe "error in dbghelp.dll, and in explorer "error in axshlex.dll.

After having lots of other wired stuff happening on my system, I have been running SpyBot, Adaware, AVG7,Antivir and HJT. all scans have come up Neg.

After checking my logs in Component Services, I can see a lot of "Anonymous" and "Guest" log-ons and App Errors that have increased since I noticed the Firewall and system problems. I believe I have found at what date and time the system was compromised from the logs and system error patterns. but I cant find the file that was install, but I believe it to be in the "Documents and Settings\julian\Local Settings\temp"

I'm not sure what info you guys need, also I don't express myself tha... Read more

Hi I have this problem that has been occuring for the past like half a year almost and I've tried FOREVER to try and fix it. I've even reformatted my whole computer and it still hasn't fixed the problem. My explorer.exe keeps crashing every maybe 10-30min. It varies. Also a LOT of the time a program keeps popping up onto my processess known as drwtsn32.exe And this keeps freezing up my whole computer especially my windows that are opened and in order to fix this I would have to end the processess drwtsn32.exe and sometimes when I do that my whole explorer.exe goes missing or it crashes my desktop. This has been really frustrating and annoying and I want to know if I can fix this. I also have run a lot of anti-spyware and ant-virus removing programs and NONE are found in any of them. I've defragged my computer and cleaned the registry so many times and did everyhting I could to try and fix this. PLease help me! What I mean by explorer.exe crashing is like all my icons on my desktop dissapear and the taskbar at the bottom where the start menu is dissapears. And I have to run explorer.exe again manually using like the WindowsKey+R and typing explorer.exe

I've posted this on the malware section and they told me to post here for a solution because they don't seem to find any malware on my computer. Please help me ):! Thanks so much in advance.

**** program has encountered a problem and needs to close. I get this error for AIM, firefox, Windows Explorer (only when I use the search function), Spybot, Windows Media Player and some P2P programs, but I won't bother with that since it's illegal . What brought me to this conclusion is the fact that I can go on using all of these programs if I simply ignore the error message.
I tried reinstalling those programs and it didn't work. I ran an adaware and Spybot scan and still nothing. I used windows file protection and while I had some missing .dlls (fixed that) it didn't fix the problem. I used check disk and still nothing. I'm fresh out of ideas. Can anyone help?

A:Solved: drwtsn32 - Close Program - Error - Internet

This problem came back to Flash Player. Version 9, the latest has problems. I matched the date Version 8 was updated to 9 as to when the problem started.

After a lot of work, I found out that Version 9 cannot be uninstalled by the usual was in the Control Panel, You have to get a special Uninstaller from Adobe.

Then I hunted, found and reinstalled Version 8. No more problems.

Still, it may come back to haunt you because some Shockwave movies will automatically update FP-8 to FP-9 without notifying you. The Links follow:

This will test if FP or SW is installed and which version is installed. Also, the Flash Player box will cause the Error when you hover over it.
This link will get you to the Uninstall program for Version 9.
Below is a quote from Adobe that just shows how stupid software makers are getting:
>>Due to recent enhancements to the Flash Player installers, you can now remove the player only by using the Adobe Flash Player uninstaller.<<
SAVE the uninstaller program in case 9 pops back in.
This link has the earlier versions of FP.
SAVE the zipped FP version you download in case you need it to replace 9 again.

Print out or copy this page to Notepad. Make sure to work through the fixes in the exact order it is mentioned below. If there's anything that you don't understand, ask your question(s) before proceeding with the fixes. You should 'not' have any open browsers when you are following the procedures below.

Download CleanUp! http://cleanup.stevengould.org/ (Alternate Link if main link don't work - http://www.greyknight17.com/spy/CleanUp.exe ) and install it. Don't run it yet.

Download Ewido Security Suite at http://www.ewido.net/en/download/

1. Install Ewido Security Suite.
2. When installing, under 'Additional Options' uncheck:
* Install background guard
* Install scan via context menu
3. Launch Ewido, there should be an icon on your desktop, double click it.
4. The program will now open to the main screen.
5. When you run Ewido for the first time, you might get a warning 'Database could not be found!'. Click OK. We will fix this in a moment.
6. You will need to update Ewido to the latest definition files.
* On the left hand side of the main screen click update.
* Then click on start update.
7. The update will start and a progress bar will show the updates being installed. The status bar at the bottom will display 'Update successful'.
8. Exit Ewido. DO NOT scan yet.

If you are having problems with the updater, you can go to http://www.ewido.net/en/download/updates/ to update manually.

Got this posted on a few other forums, so i'll just copy + paste it and list what i've tried so far.
UPDATE: The main problem at the moment seems to be linked with the Inetcpl.cpl in C:\Windows\System32
- Cannot open Internet Explorer: When I open IE 9, the process appears, and internet explorer starts up. As soon as the tab for my homepage loads, IE closes straight away, and leaves behind the download manager for IE, asking me if i want to download my homepage.
- Cannot open Internet Options through control panel: When i go to Control Panel > Networking > Internet Options and click on it, nothing appears on screen, no matter how many times i press it. Same thing happens with IE > Tools > Options; nothing appears
- Cannot open Skype (I found this was linked to the IE problems): When I open Skype, the login page stays on a white screen, and i am unable to click anywhere on skype / close it, I have to force close it by ending the process (Temporary solution found, look below)
- Cumulative Security Update for IE 9 won't install (Windows Update): This has been an on-going problem for around a year+ now, but still relevant. Whenever my Windows Update has a Cumulative Security Update for IE 9, I try to install it, however it fails and says updates were not configured correctly, reverting changes The error code I get is: 800719E4. As far as I am aware, there is no solution to this er... Read more

Hi Guys,
In our org. recently the intranet portal is being launched having webpages built using Html5 & CSS3, everything seemed to be working fine until we had this issue of printing via all Internet Explorer browser version.
Issue Description:
Couple of symptoms of the issues when trying to print.

The printer name is invalid (res://ieframe.dll/preview.js)The remote server machine does not exist or is unavailable (res://ieframe.dll/preview.js)Whenever print is fired the printer goes in hung state, we have to power off and power on the same

The same webpage when we try to print using Mozilla firefox / Google chrome there is no issueThe print model is HP LaserJet M4345 MFP seriesThe printer is installed using TCP configuration on member server and the printer is shared for client PCs(Windows7/8.1)As soon as the print is fired on the server where printer is configured observe event ID 10 which states print was successful

Document 161, URL - website owned by UserA was printed on HP LaserJet 4345 mfp - IT PCL 6 via port IP_10.14.1.132.
Size in bytes: 499992; pages printed: 1
We also tested the print on several other printer model like Lexmark and the issue is same.If the printer is configured locally using USB and tried to print ? print is successfulIf we print to XPS doc, it prints properly using IE for that pageTried to trace what?s happening using netmon when print is fired using IE and below is the screenshot

I hate to ask for an urgent reply, but I am in quite a fix! I need to access some data on my computer this a.m.

System Data: Windows XP Pro SP2 w/all patches/updates

First, I noticed that shortly after restarting my computer, Zonealarm Internet Security firewall would start, then the icon for Zonealarm would disappear from the system tray. This is the first problem I have noticed and I include this information because I do not know if it is related to the current problem.

Second, I click 'start,' then 'run.' After the 'run' dialog box appears, I type 'services.msc.' After I hit the enter key, I get an error which states something along the lines of an 'exception error in explorer.exe [error 1356]. The computer then restarts.

Any ideas or troubleshooting tips?

Firstly try and boot up into 'safe mode, by pressing F8 on Start up. You should get a number of options, use the up/down keys to select and press enter.

So I've been trying to fix this for more than 20 hours now and I haven't made the slightest bit of progress.

The issue:

The update "Internet Explorer 11 for Windows 7 x64" fails with error code 9C59. Currently installed is IE9.
The update "KB2670838" fails with code 80004005. Google reveals that this update is a requirement for IE11.
After attempting to install such an update, "TrustedInstaller.exe" remains active with high CPU usage and high and steadily increasing memory usage. I think I know the reason for this. The "update posting information" thread tells me to post the folder with CBS logs. However, after I try (and fail) one of the two updates (or both), the CBS.log file keeps increasing with about 1mb per second which never stops, eventually growing to many gb. I think this is the reason for the "TrustedInstaller.exe" CPU usage and memory usage.

Because of this problem it's hard for me to send you CBS.Log because it's far too big. Thus, I'll attach a zip containing one of the "CbsPersist__.cab" files instead - most of them were still too large. I also included 3 other files found in C:\Windows\Logs (not in the CBS subdirectory), they're related to IE11 so I thought they could be relevant.

Things I've tried:

sfc /scannow; gives no errors at all, no integrity violations found.
chkdsk /f; took around 4 hours, changed nothing. As far as I could tell it didn't find many issues.

I am having a similar issue with attempting to run Noet.exe. It is giving me the 80004005 error and wants to terminate the program. I have not been able to find any answers to this problem. It worked fine until I went back to an image (I was having other problems so I went back to an earlier image). I have tried all the solutions you have mentioned plus some others, but all to no avail.
Can anyone give us a solution for this problem?

A:explorer.exe application error and Runtime error

this can be a bit tricky, i do not know the cause because it can be a lot that caused this.

however if you got the windows CD.
you can try running sfc /scannow (if you can get into any command console)
it refreshes most dlls.

if you can not get into any windows app you can use recovery console (from CD first screen you press R)
and run chkdsk /p

if that fails you can use windows repair using second screen and press R
(from cd)

i hope this helps.

Hi experts.

I have been having problems lately with my Dell Vostro 3550. First, the windows updates would not apply successfully. Once that happened, my wireless network adapter is not popping up. When I do checks on Device Manager it says its working properly. After this, I was receiving windows error message bad image system 32 authz.dll. Luckily, I found a solution on this forum and this is not popping up anymore. It only pops up when I try to do a regedit command. Also, my microsoft paint does not work. Since I tried using paint, every time I boot my computer I get the black screen with the cursor on it. I have to cmd explorer it to get my desk top visible again. I hope this helps describe the problems I have been having.

I read somewhere that it could be an virus and to use MalwareBytes and Microsoft Security Essentials.

When I run these programs I get errors and I receive the Blue Screen with the error codes.

I am uploading all pictures I took with my phone. Hopefully, this can help you guys. I am also loading the dump files using the program the forum told me to use.

Please let me know if you need any more information.

Thanks a lot. Appreciate all the help I can get.

Not sure if this is where to ask about this or what to say, but here goes.

Operating System :

The problem :

When I right click a folder on my desktop or on 'c' drive I don't get any options, instead I get an error message "Windows Explorer has encountered a problem and needs to close". As with these error messages it offers to send a report to Gatesy's mob, but I usual decline. I sure you have read heaps of threads with this similar problem and true to form, I then get another error window with regards to "Dr Watson Postmortem Debugger" and the system hangs. The only way to un-hang is usually to kill the process "Dr Watson".

So after a small minor fit where my desktop icons disappear for a short moment, we try to delete a folder(which incidentally is empty) the other way. Left click to highlight folder and then hit delete key. This resulted in the same errors as above.
How Is the problem going? :

Good question. Like many other posters here I have tried many cleaning and checking programs, which have resulted in a grand total of NO progress. Still Exactly the same .

I'm running Windows 7 Pro on my Dell laptop. This laptop has been in storage and hasn't been turned on in a year. Originally, all I wanted to do was use iTunes. The problem:

I un-installed it and tried downloading a fresh copy and I get the following error:
After some Googling, I read that not having the latest Windows .NET framework might be the problem. Sounded reasonable so I fired up Windows Update but that gave me an error and wouldn't start checking for updates.
I managed to get it to check for updates, but now when it starts the process, I get the following:
I Googled the error code "8007007E" and tried a few things to try and fix it.
I downloaded the windowsupdatediagnostic.diagcab, found on Microsoft's site, here:http://windows.microsoft.com/en-us/windows/troubleshoot-problems-installing-updates#1TC=windows-7

I download the system readiness tool, found here:https://www.microsoft.com/en-us/download/details.aspx?id=3132
I tried a clean boot.
I tried renaming the Windows Update Softwaredistribution folder.
None of this worked.

I had a very bizarre problem today. I downloaded about 50 .mpg files and put them into a folder on my desktop. I opened one of them, and it worked fine, but after that every time I even opened the folder that the files were in, only half of the thumbnails would appear and then it would tell me that I had a Visual C++ Runtime Error, from explorer.exe aborting. At the same time as this, windows would pop up a little message saying that my virtual memory was low. Later, it popped up a message saying that my Media Player needed to be reinstalled and that my Norton Antivirus needed to be reinstalled. Then it disabled my Norton Firewall and my Norton Antivirus. Lastly, I started getting error messages telling me that my soundcard needed to be configured to handle voice files, by enabling hardware acceleration. The only problem with that was that Windows would not let me access the advanced sound settings!

I am running Windows XP (all patches up to date), 256 MB Ram, 75 Gig HD - so I figured the "low" virtual memory had to be an error. I tried tripling the virual memory to 1GB and also tried letting Windows automatically set the virtual memory size, but neither of these fixed the problem. My immediate thought was that it was a virus or trojan, but Norton VirusScan, Swat-It Trojan Scanner, and System Suite VirusScan all failed to detect anything, and all of them have their definitions up to date.

I ran a Google search to see what other things I should try and none of the... Read more

I'm slowly going around the bend reading threads on this sort of problem - not sure what to do.

When I start ME I get a POP Proxy error: Norton Anti Virus is unable to start email protection. Please eneure thatTCP/IP is installed an Port 110 is available.

I can manually start Norton email protection but it takes 2 attempts. But if I try to get into the internet via explorer I get the message:

So I cannot get any internet access from that PC.

I am also getting the often reported "Explorer has caused an error in unknown" message which sometimes changes to "......caused an error in MFC42.DLL" and then ".......caused an error in KERNELL32.DLL"

I have tried starting up in various different modes but the result is still the same - I always get the "Explorer caused an error in unknown " message.

Advice appreciated but remember I cannot connect to the internet at all from this ME PC so it will be hard to download anything or send anything- except via floppy copy to this laptop.

I have the original ME CD but I can't find a start up disc (which a few things I have read stated that I need).

If the system ran fine...before you added RAM...then you need to see if the new RAM (by itself)...works.The new RAM may not be compatible with your old RAM, in which case the system will run fine with one or the other...but not both. The Driver Verifier tool is tricky to use, I would disregard that effort...for the moment.Remove your old RAM...put the new RAM in...see if the system works properly.FWIW: http://www.bleepingcomputer.com/forums/t/153175/blue-screen-io-error-verification-error-in-wmiacpisys-wmd-driver-error-20e/Louis

Just follow the prompts when you run the disk. It will boot (of course) but will not need Windows to do anything.

Ok so my first problem was what I thought the sasser worm. I researched it online and I can't find any traces of it anywhere now. I ran a few spyware checkers and stuff and I think I may have messed with some registries.

Now I cannot access the internet and heaps of things are stuffing up. I disconnected my internet and upon startup get this.

A "Data Execution Prevention" window that closes "Generic Host Process for Win32 Services".

I press OK and that goes away. I found some suggestions online but none of them seem to work. That's my first problem.

My computer runs fine until I connect my internet. It runs alright for a minute or two before I get this error.

The instruction at "0x00401000" referenced memory at "0x00401000". The memory could not be "written". Which has recently been appearing at the same time as AVG saying a threat has been detected at "C:\WINDOWS\drivers\atimixx8.sys"

After this has come up I can press OK to terminate the stop error, or cancel to debug. Either one does nothing but stops my internet from working, and the internet on other computers in my house (we are all on a network). When I try to heal/move to vault/delete the AVG threat, it says I don't have permission.

I've thought about just formatting, but I have seen people who say that even with a format, the problem still persists.

Please help!

Just got a new computer and am trying to install my Philips Mini HiFi sytem. Contacted their support centre and they don't know what to do! The stereo system simply plugs into a usb port and plays your audio through their system. The only difference between the system it worked on a few days ago and now is that I am running Windows Professional x64.

The problem:

three things to install:

1. the Philips drivers. Philips support got me to download their drivers for Win XP.

When I install this the error rec'd is: "Install 2.15 setup. While installing drivers Plug and Play error detected. Please reboot and try again". I reboot and try again, same thing.

2. The program "Sound Agent" to run the show. When I install the Sound Agent program, the error rec'd is: "VDI32.exe has encountered a problem and needs to close".

3. MusicMatch to channel the audio through to it. (Seems ok but tells me it's out of date - no biggie I can deal with that).

In Device Manager there is "Unknown Device" listed under System Devices shown to be not installed (the yellow exlamation mark through it). When I try to Update Driver it says, "Cannot Install this hardware. The hardware was not installed because the Wizard cannot find the necessary software".

Finally, whenever I reboot I get the error message: "The QVE bus driver is not detected. Reinstall the Qsound Virtual Audio Devices Bus Enumerator driver".

WARNING: SOAP Fault: 0x00012c
WARNING:     faultstring:Fault occurred
WARNING:     ErrorCode:InvalidParameters(7)

I've tried several actions although none does any help. Here is the list of actions:
- upgrade windows update agent to the latest version
- windows update agent reset by this instructions https://support.microsoft.com/en-us/help/971058/how-do-i-reset-windows-update-components
- empty Temporary Internet files
- check the rules and blocked traffic on windows firewall and physical firewall between server and workstation vlan
- sfc /scannow

It looks like significant Windows 7 error, although reinstalling is not my option.

Thanks for any help!

It's possible that TWAIN DSM is missing on your Win 7 machine. You can get it here and try again.

Hello there. Recently my computer have just randomly shutdown meanwhile i'm playing games like CS;GO, League of Legends. The screen will just turn black and it will start to make one hell of annoying noise untill it reboots.

I've updated all my drivers. Tested my memory. Tested my RAM. Run a virus scan. Checked the heat on my Graphic card and CPU. and all seems to work just fine.
This is the errors i get:

Hi Snaski.

It is some display/graphics related issue.

Are you overclocking? As you are getting BSODs, you should stop overclocking and run all the hardware components like CPU, GPU and RAM to their default settings.

Check if the Power Supply Unit (PSU) supplying adequate power to the computer or not.

Also let us know the wattage of the PSU.

Stress test the Graphics Card using Furmark.

Let us see a screenshot of the furmark window, just before you close it.

Is the computer hot? Report us the heat of the computer after a couple of hours of your normal usage. Upload a screenshot of the summery tab of Speccy. Alternatively, you can publish a Speccy snapshot too: Speccy - Publish Snapshot of your System Specs .

I've just install windows 7 home premium 64bit and got 4 times of BSOD.

for the first time error code is 0x0000001a
for the 2nd time error code is 0x0000003b
for the 3rd time error code is 0x0000003b
for the 4th time error code is 0x000000d1

I also attach minidump files and text files that I got from sf dianostic tool.

And another problem is I try to follow the instruction in this thread
How to fix BSOD caused by ntoskrnl.exe and ntkrnlmp.exe
and now I cannot start the normal window, I have to run in safe mode with network.

in the reply #4 that zigzag3413 post

Using Driver Verifier is an iffy proposition.
Most times it'll crash and it'll tell you what the driver is.
But sometimes it'll crash and won't tell you the driver.
Other times it'll crash before you can log in to Windows.
If you can't get to Safe Mode, then you'll have to resort to offline editing of the registry to disable Driver Verifier.

I'd suggest that you first backup your stuff and then make sure you've got access to another computer so you can contact us if problems arise.
Then make a System Restore point (so you can restore the system using the Vista/Windows 7 Startup Repair feature).

In Windows 7 you can make a Startup Repair disk by going to Start....All Programs...Maintenance...Create a System Repair Disc - with Windows Vista you'll have to use your installation disk or the "Repair your computer" option at the top of the Safe Mode menu .

For now, I do a restore point and be able to run the normal window7.
