I recommend downloading and running DAP. It can help sort out any driver and firmware related issues on your system

It's worked out well for many of us in the past.

You can download it direct from this link http://downloaddap.org. (This link will open the download page of DAP so you can save a copy to your computer.)

Does the Thinkpad P51s support the Thinkpad Thunderbolt 3 Dock? I have the Thinkpad P51s with stock Windows 10 Pro and updated to latest drivers and Windows version and installed the latest Thinkpad Thunderbolt 3 Dock drivers. Attaching the Thunderbolt 3 Dock to the P51s as described in documentation, it charges the notebook, however, noting attached to the dock is recognized. I've tested with attaching USB flash drives, headphones, Ethernet, HDMI, and DP, but nothing is recognized nor are any warnings/errors displayed in Windows. While the Thinkpad Thunderbolt 3 Dock is listed as being compatible with the P51s and T570, the notebook order page does not list the Thunderbolt 3 Dock in any of the accessories lists. Lenovo Sales also confirmed that the Thunderbolt 3 Dock is fully compatible with the P51s.  However, I needed to purchase the Thunderbolt 3 Dock separately from the notebook order. What's going on? Has anybody successfully used the P51s or the T570 with the Thinkpad Thunderbolt 3 Dock? Or is this something I need to wait for full support via a future BIOS/driver update? Or perhaps my Thunderbolt 3 Dock is defective? Thanks,Boris

I bought ThinkPad T570 (Intel Core i7-7500U Kaby Lake / 16GB RAM / 512GB SSD / 15,6" UHD IPS /  Intel HD Graphics 620) with ThinkPad Pro Dock 90W 14 days back. In first I updated system to the last Win 10 Pro Creators Update - version 1703 (build 15063.250) which is declared to be fully supported.I expected that it will solve my need for next years, but I'm a little disappointed now, I have the following problems:Annoing background sound somewhere from motherboard, neverending random sound like tss, tsss, ... it looks like something connected with integrated video card, sometime it changes during scroll of web browser windowFrom begin lower half of display sometimes had some flicker issues and content was for short time replaced by some pattern. I updated all drivers to the last versions and now it appears occasionally.I am unable to use 3840x2160 / 60Hz display resolution on external monitor (27" BenQ BL2711U UHD 4K) via DisplayPort cable connected to dock. Monitor is detected, but no video is provided. But if I change resolution to 1920x1080 / 60Hz it is working. If I connect monitor to HDMI on notebook, then it is working on 3840x2160 but only with 30Hz. Other connections like VGA and DVI are also working but they are not able to provide 4k video.I am unable to use my S/N on support pages, it is unknown.

Hi, thanks in advance for your help.I have a Thinkpad T570 with a UK keyboard, I would like to swap it with a french one.I did it for many Thinkpad, but I cannot find any french keyboard for this model ... is there any way to find this keyboard? or is there a model of Thinkpad compatible with the T570 keyboard ? Best regards,

A:Thinkpad T570 - keyboard change

There are two vendors and four french keyboards available for your T570:- FRU: 01EN939, Tachi NBL KBD,FR,CHY.- FRU: 01ER552, Tachi BL KBD,FR,CHY.- FRU: 01ER511, Tachi NBL KBD,FR,LTN.- FRU: 01ER593, Tachi BL KBD,FR,LTN. CHY means Chicony and LTN - LiteON.NBL stands for non backlit and BL - backlit. If you ask me, which one vendor will be better, then in the past LiteON made pretty good keyboards and Chicony one of worst in comparison to other. I have seen, that LiteON's keyboards are available on eBay.  Keyboards for T570 are allowed to be replaced by customer, so you'll not lose warranty after replacing keyboard (obliviously, if you don't damage something in the process).

Hello !
I have a Lenovo T570 (intel i5 version) with no graphic card in it, and i saw that some T570 (T570-20HAS01E00) are sold with graphic card (940MX). So I was wondering if there was any way I could add this same graphic card inside my laptop.
Maybe if the base structure is the same, there is a slot waiting for that GC ?

Thanks in advance !

No.  It isn't a card.  It is just another chip on the motherboard.

HI, I have a Lenovo ThinkPad T570 hooked up with the Lenovo LS2251 Wide monitor via HDMI to DVI adapter. The computer recognizes the monitor but the screen is blank (monitor also recognizes a digital signal but switch back to VGA input). The connection works properly with other Lenovo 19 inch monitors (ie tested on L197 Wide) and with my 42 inc LCD TV, but when trying to get the display on my LS2251 Wide it doesnt work. I also tryed to connect it to another Lenovo 22 inch monitor (ie LT2252p) which doesnt work as well. The only difference is that this time the monitor isn't eaven recognized by the T570. Both monitors worked well when they were connected to my older Lenovo Thinkpad via same HDMI to DVI adapter. All drivers are up-to date as well. Please help.

Hi, I just got a BSOD after clicking on a YouTube link on my fully patched T570, complaining about APC_INDEX_MISMATCH (win32kfull.sys). From what I can tell, this is likely related to a Realtek audio driver, even though I have the latest version already installed. Here's a similar thread for L560 and X260 BSODs: https://forums.lenovo.com/t5/ThinkPad-L-R-and-SL-series/APC-INDEX-MISMATCH-on-L560-and-X260/td-p/338.... And another for T460p: https://www.reddit.com/r/thinkpad/comments/4q9nbl/t460p_bsod_in_windows_7_x64_anyone_running_into/. However, the solution there was to update to 6.0.1.7855. My T570 is running 6.0.1.8142, so presumably, whatever the fix was is already in this version. And yet: BluescreenView doesn't even have a snapshot of the dump because it was stuck at 0% like that until I restarted it, so I can't show full details. Has anyone run into this issue on a fully patched T570? Is Lenovo aware?

A:APC_INDEX_MISMATCH BSOD (win32kfull.sys) on ThinkPad T570

I have not had that problem, but if the BSOD was not simply a quirk and continues to occur, there is a later driver available directly from Realtek (6.0.1.8186) that can be found under Quick LInks >> HD Audio Codec Driver at the link below. Realtek High Definition Audio Codecs [and driver]http://www.realtek.com.tw/Downloads/downloadsView.aspx?Langid=1&PNid=14&PFid=24&Level=4&Conn=3 Note:  I am currently running 6.0.1.8186 (vs the 6.0.1.7910 available from Lenovo) on my H50-50 desktop without any problems, but do bear in mind that Lenovo has not yet completed its testing of this version on your system either. Cheers,

I've tried Windows 10 version 1607, 1703, and now have installed 1511 directly out of box from the cd. I've installed the drivers off of Lenovo's website and it still does not work. I have Windows Hello working for the finger print, but when I try to do a face scan it instantly fails saying "Sorry, something went wrong" "Couldn't turn on the camera. Make sure it's working properly". Does anyone know how to get the IR Camera to work on the Lenovo ThinkPad T570 for Windows Hello? I know that it was working originally and is not a hardware issue because when I received the device from Lenovo it was working. I since then applied an image of 1607, upgraded to 1703, and now have wiped everything and reinstalled 1511 from Microsoft's eOpen with no modifications other than installing drivers after the fact and it still doesn't work.

Hi,I recently bought a ThinkPad T570. However if I connect it to a second external screen with HDMI to HDMI I experienced a serious flickering. The screen goes black for 3-4 seconds and then ON for 15-20 seconds and so on. What I experienced is that if I start a game the problem is solved. I believe that is related to the fact that the Intel HD640 is beging deactived and the GeForce start to work. Magically, when I return to Windows the flickering restart. I also use the laptop in the office with the docking station but I did not experienced this issue, even if when I use Windows. I already tried to unistall and reinstall the latest driver, change the HDMI cable, tried the monitor with another laptop (the monitor is working perfectly) but nothing has changed.I am very disappointed because I can't use my second screen to work. Any solutions? Thanks in advance.

I have a problem on a brand new Thinkpad Carbon Gen 6. The wifi connects fine. When I test speed with Ookla internet speed test, I get 80 mbs down and 80 mbs up, same as with my Pixel, Tablet, and old laptop. But if I close the lid and leave the computer for an hour and come back, I get variable, but slower, results.. for example I might get 26 mbs down but still 80 mbs up or various combinations. It stays that way if I don't change anything. But if all I do is disconnect from the wifi network and reconnect, I'm back to 80 mbs up and 80 mbs down stably. Through all of this, the Pixel 2, sitting right next to the laptop, has no problems maintaining speed over the wifi during the same time period the Lenovo has the problem. Manually putting the computer to sleep and waking it up a minute or two later doesn't cause the problem. I uninstalled Intel Proset software, and that didn't fix it. Windows is up to date and I have the latest network card drivers installed. One thing I note is when I go to the dialog to configure the network adapter, there is no longer any tab for Power Mangement. When I go to the sleep settings, there are no choices for (eg) Link Power Management anymore. Is this because of the new Windows 10 version? Turning some of that stuff off used to help with flaky network behavior in the past, but now they're gone. Any suggestions welcome.

When I first ordered my T570, I ordered it with the cheapest SATA hard drive, so that I could replace it with a SATA SSD that I've had for a while.  A few weeks ago ago, the machine started intermittently halting at the boot splash screen.  I managed to nuke my linux installation and reinstall the operating system, and all seemed fine, until a few days ago, where, mid-lecture, my computer starts throwing kernel panics like crazy---all errors relating to ext4.  It was my assumption that the SSD had finally kicked the bucket.  Thinking that, I ordered a new SATA ssd that arrived today, and I installed it. The problem is that after I installed the new SSD, I couldn't find the drive enumerated in an lsblk run from a arch linux live environment running on a USB drive.  Prior to installing the SSD, I had not used the laptop since the catastrophic failure. I placed the old SSD into the laptop, and same problem: drive isn't enumerated by lsblk nor is it listed in the BIOS. I've harvested an lspci and lsusb output in the hope that I could figure out what is going on.  Here they are lsusb:Bus 002 Device 001: ID 1d6b:0003 Linux Foundation 3.0 root hubBus 001 Device 004: ID 04f2:b5ab Chicony Electronics Co., LtdBus 001 Device 003: ID 13fe:1e23 Kingston Technology Company Inc.Bus 001 Device 002: ID 0781:556b SanDisk Corp. Quite annouying really. I had the same problem on my T450 so it seems to be a generic Thinkpad-problem. On my old T420 this was not a problem but I swapped it over a year ago. I'm tinking of reverting back to the software/OS-status when I got the laptop just to see if this issue have anything to do with Win7-updates. Anyone else that have experienced this?

Hello Community, I hope you could provide me with a soluton for a problem below: Recently I received the Lenovo ThinkPad570 and this device is amazing. Intel Core i5-7200U, 8GB RAM, 256GB NVMe, WAN and much more. As I connected it to my home Wifi powered by powerfull and user friendly FritzBox 7430 I am having issues with my Wifi speed connectivity. After running some tests it shows me 4,5 Mbit/s download and 0.8Mbit/s upload. My PS4 runs on wifi aswel, if run a test there it goes up to 46Mbit/s download and 9Mbit/s upload. Connected phones and the tablet are working perfectly as well. I tried to install/uninstall drivers, but nothing seems to help. I just tried to connect it via LAN cable and does not even identify the network, however the FritzBox shows that the Notebook is connected, has full power bandwith etc. I tried the driver install/uninstall as well but nothing helped, still no LAN connection. So basically that is my problem and I am looking forward to receive some suggestions. If you need any additional information on chipset, actual drivers etc. just tell me what you need. Please advise. Regards,

Hi guys, I bought the T570 with their cheapest SATA HDD so that I can clone it and upgrade myself, but once I popped open the back, I found that there's not an M.2 slot available for the upgrade drive (Samsung 960 Pro). According to the manual, https://www.manualslib.com/manual/1240407/Lenovo-Thinkpad-T570.html?page=139#manual, I need a converter of some sort, which I presume replaces the SATA cable and the mount for the much smaller form factor drive. I found this http://www3.lenovo.com/us/en/accessories/memory-and-storage/storage/HDD-BO-ThinkPad-M-2-SSD-Tray/p/4..., but it has 0 information on whether it's compatible with the T570, and whether this is what I need in the first place. Can someone help? Has anyone done this already? Can I pick it up somewhere so that I don't have to wait 5-7 days for it to arrive? I also have a 3-year NBD support contract, but after calling support, I am told they can't just come bring the part. Thank you in advance.

I received my T570 Thinkpad laptop a couple of months ago and have had no problems connecting it to my home router. Yesterday, however, it stopped connecting to our home WiFi. All other computers, phones, etc. aren't experiencing problems connecting, and when the laptop is plugged in directly to the Ethernet cable it works fine. Today I took my laptop to a friend's place and was able to connect to their wireless network. Any suggestions on how to fix this would be very much appreciated - thank you!

My Thinkpad R500 will connect to my router, but no internet connection. All my other devices in my house (tablet, phone, other laptop, tv, etc, etc) are all connected with no problems.

It was working up until today. When I was at work, I was having trouble connecting to our WiFi, and my IT guy did something. Not sure if that has anything to do with it. I'll ask him tomorrow. But I gotta do some work tonight!!

I did a "diagnose problem" in Win7 and it says something about the "primary DNS server is not responding"....

Thoughts?

Hello folks,

I am having a super problem with my notebook, I hope someone can help...
I am a happy owner of a 1.5 years old Thinkpad Yoga. I updated to Windows 10 last year but no major issues so far. Around one month ago though, I started getting some problems with my wifi connections. Sometimes, after disconnecting (voluntarily), the wifi wouldn't reconnect at all and disabling the WiFi would make it even worse, because I wouldn't be able to enable it again and had to reboot. The wifi simply shows no networks and presents that little red "x" on its icon.
Well, last week the problem got worse. The WiFi stopped working and wouldn't get back even while rebooting.Sometimes it will get back after a reboot, in those cases it stays good and alive as far as I don't reboot and keep the device enabled.
I ultimately resetted my Windows yesterday to see if it problem would be fixed. The windows started up good, but when I started again today, the problem was there again.

Some facts:
1. I saw no particular pattern on which circumstances the problem is shown more often.
2. The device manager will show the wireless adapter sometimes, but most times won't.
3. The Bluetooth radio doesn't seem to be affected at all by this issue.
4. Updating or reinstalling the driver doesn't seem to help, although it can bring the wifi adapter back to work (until I reboot the system).
5. I had a VPN software before updating to Windows 10 (although I believe I uninstalled it before that), but m... Read more

Hi, I have a S531 with historic Wifi problemas and limited connection, but lately (specially since I installed Windows10, the situation is even worse). The laptop says it does not have Wifi connections and I don't really know what to do and how could I solve the problem.  I have tried some solutions but, even when for a while it seems to work, in a short time it comes back to the same problem. I really do not know what to do now so I would appreciate any help.  Thanks a lot.

Hi

I don't have that machine, but maybe we can try some things.
How does the wifi works with other access points in other locations? Do you think it works different with connected to other Wifi routers? If you move closer to the router, does it improve of is it the same thing?

- Maybe you can try first to update the Wifi driver. Check the support page for your model and see if you can update the Wifi driver. See if it improves or is it the same thing.
- Just in case also update the BIOS firmware, look on the same support site. Sometimes the BIOS is updated to have better Windows 10 compatibility.

This is what I have in mind right now. Maybe later it could be interesting if you can post the wifi adapter and driver version that you are using (from Windows Device Manager) to see if we can compare it with other users.
Regards

I just got my T470 laptop a few weeks ago and it's already having problems with maintaining a stable connection to the wifi. When I run the troubleshooter, I always get the error message "The connection between your access point, router, or cable modem and the internet is broken" and "The default gateway is not available." Is there any way to fix this? I've tried installing new drivers from lenovo and almost all the solutions found online, but none of them are working.

Hello folks, I am having a super **bleep**ty problem with my notebook, I hope someone can help...I am a happy owner of a 1.5 years old Thinkpad Yoga. The wifi simply shows no networks and presents that little red "x" on its icon.Well, last week the problem got worse. The WiFi stopped working and wouldn't get back even while rebooting.Sometimes it will get back after a reboot, in those cases it stays good and alive as far as I don't reboot and keep the device enabled.I ultimately resetted my Windows yesterday to see if it problem would be fixed. The windows started up good, but when I started again today, the problem was there again. Some facts:1. I saw no particular pattern on which circumstances the problem is shown more often.2. The device manager will show the wireless adapter sometimes, but most times won't.3. The Bluetooth radio doesn't seem to be affected at all by this issue.4. Updating or reinstalling the driver doesn't seem to help, although it can bring the wifi adapter back to work (until I reboot the system).5. I had a VPN software before updating to Windows 10 (although I believe I uninstalled it before that), but m... Read more

A:Thinkpad Yoga 12 - WiFi connections not available

I have a K450 desktop and had upgraded to windows 10 a while back.  Yesterday I have no wifi abilities.  Checked device manager and no network adaptor for wifi.  Attempted to download and install and still doesn't show.  Connecting with line currently but can't figure it out.  Wifi not even an option under 'connect to internet"

Hi all, I always had problems with wifi stability on my S40 Thinkpad but after the last lenovo solution center suggested updates the wifi no longer finds most of the networks around me.  This is not an hardware problem, since I use W10 and Linux in a dual-boot scheme. When I boot to Linux, lots of networks are listed, as usual. But in Windows 10, most of the networks are gone, and to have a good signal I have to be very near to the AP. (screenshots attached) Any ideas on how to solve this? Are there any newer/older drivers around to revert this behaviour? TIA Fernando
