Acer Aspire E1-572G VGA Driver Unable to install

Q: Acer Aspire E1-572G VGA Driver Unable to install

Hello. I have installed intel's driver detection tool and it informed me that I have a custom driver installed by the manufacturer. Acer site scanned my pc and found new driver VGA 10.18.15.4248, which i downloaded but upon installation tells me is the wrong driver for my pc. I have upgraded(haha) from win8.1 to 10, not sure if this is part of the problem. This driver was released 7/15. I ran windows driver updater and it tells me the driver I have, the only one btw, is current. I have tried to contact both Acer and Intel and get no answers. Any help would be great as I have had problems gaming online.

I recommend downloading and running DAP. It can help sort out any driver and firmware related issues on your system

It's worked out well for many of us in the past.

You can download it direct from this link http://downloaddap.org. (This link will open the download page of DAP so you can save a copy to your computer.)

My Acer V3-572G laptop won't start. The orange is lit when the AC adapter is plugged in and when I press the power button the Blue LED lights up for about 7 seconds and then goes off. The fans don't start and I don't hear the hard drive spin. The screen never turns on either. I've done a power reset and I've tried not having the battery in the laptop and powering it on while it's plugged in but nothing. I have taken everything out of the ports, still nothing. Any ideas on how to fix it? Weird thing is that it has happened before. Last fall the same thing was happening so I borrowed a friend's laptop while I set mine aside to figure out what I was going to do with it. 2 weeks later I wanted to see if I could get it to boot at all and it started! It had just been sitting around without the battery and without being plugged in and it just started working again randomly until now. Any advice that could get this thing working again would be appreciated. Don't really have the funds to buy a replacement.

Hi guys! After updating to the latest driver(14.12) for my R7 M265 gpu, I suddenly find myself encountering a pretty stupid issue. Upon attempting to shut down my laptop, you could say that the action isn't completely fulfilled. Screen shuts down, but other lights and USB stuff still stay powered.  Also, after a sleeping period of more than 2-3 minutes I'd guess, the laptop fails to come back to life, just stays in its coma.. What is there to do? Any advice is much appreciated !

Hi Acer community, I have a new E1-572G laptop. Long story short, I installed Win 7 on it, and after that, Ubuntu 14.10. I had issues with bootloader, but after fiddling around with legacy/UEFI booting, secure boot, and things like that, I almost successfully configured the laptop. When I selected the ubuntu uefi bootmgr in the bios, in secure boot mode, I rebooted the laptop for what I thought the last time, but then it did not go past the Acer logo. Only combination that works is ctrl+alt+delete. If I remove the hdd, then the acer logo flashes for half a second, and a black screen appears, with a static console cursor at the left upper corner. I searched a lot in the topic, wanted to reset the bios, but there is no jumper for this, nor can I remove the bios battery. I wanted to reflash the bios, but I could not find proper instructions on this. Please help me, if there is any solution I could try at home.

Hello all. I have been reading many horror stories about the left hinges of Acer laptops always breaking and unfortunately, the exact same problem as happened to me. At first, a slight pop sound occasionally happened when normally closing or opening the laptop. Now when I attempt to close it, the plastic casing around the LCD screen begins to split and the laptop is unable to close. Apparently this is a common Acer problem and I am so upset this is happening! I typically buy Acer laptops and I do not know what to do. Anyone with any advice? Thanks

I already checked the settings of my sound and there is no limited output on. The standard is Realtek High Definition Audio (SST). Anyone has a solution for this problem? Hi guys, I'm having an (what appears to be quite a common) issue with my sound since installing to Windows 8.1

I have an Acer Aspire V3-571G laptop, and was recently asked to upgrade to Windows 8.1.

Once I did that, a pop-up has come up saying:
---------------------------------------------------------
Dolby Home Theater
Unable to start the Dolby audio driver. Please restart the computer or
reinstall the driver if the problem persists.
---------------------------------------------------------

The audio for all my media players now refuse to work, while, say, Youtube appears to work fine.

I've seen a few proposed solutions for this issue (including deleting, uninstalling and reinstalling of certain things), but most appear to be 'Lenovo' laptops. So basically I have a fear of deleting something wrong or doing some irreversible damage to my sound, since it may not be specific to my Acer Aspire.

If anyone could give me a hand with how to solve this, that would be VERY much appreciated, as I am clearly not very tech savvy.

Thanks guys and girls!

For clarification this laptop has switchable graphics so it has both Intel and AMD display drivers. I recently tried to update the AMD driver (AMD Radeon HD 6650M) for my laptop due to not being able to access Catalyst Control Center. It didn't work, and I mistakenly forgot set a restore point.

I've uninstalled the drivers, ran Driver Sweeper, and ran CCleaner. I attempted to install the display driver for my model from the Acer website: VGA Driver AMD v8.901.4.0 (http://support.acer.com/us/en/produc...1&modelId=3476).

However, I do not receive the option to install a display driver in the Catalyst Install Manager (http://i.imgur.com/qL52a.jpg). I have been able to install it in the past. This time however, when I run the Catalyst Install Manager it doesn't have an option for me to install the display driver nor Catalyst Control Center.

Also, the AMD card is not able to start, but I suspect this is because there are no drivers installed for it. (http://i.imgur.com/qL52a.jpg)

Is there anything I can do short of doing a total restore to fix this?

Have you tried the native "Acer eRecovery Management" software (can be found in your programs list)?

This will restore back to default both VGA drivers.

So I'm only halfway tech savvy and I screwed up. Rather than running a dual boot option, I decided I didnt want Windows anymore and installed Linux Mint 18. All was fine, love it, all the way up until I decided I wanted to install some of my games onto my laptop. Didnt realize how complex trying to install things to Linux are, and its a bit over my head. Anyway, to the problem. I'm trying to reinstall Windows, but keep getting an error message that some drivers are missing. I have found and saved all my chipset and controller drivers to USB drive, loaded them on prompt, but apparently those arent the ones causing the problem. I was thinking maybe my storage controller driver, or the HDD driver itself, but I cant seem to find either of those anywhere, without installing a windows driver update program, which obviously won't work, as I'm running Linux. Hope someone can help. Thanks.

Hi guys, I have a serious problem. Right now I've made the impossible for the driver to work correctly but I can't.

I am trying to install the correct Graphic Driver for an Acer Aspire 1410 to no avail.

It is a Mobile Intel 4 Series Express Chipset Family. I've tried to install it:
- Via the device manager
- From a driver download directly from the Acer Website.
- From Windows Update.

I have installed/uninstalled and I've ran out of ideas. Don't know what to do.

Each time I try to do something on device manager there's the yellow triangle with the display driver. Any suggestions?

Thanks

Hi all, I went to turn on my laptop this morning (Acer Aspire E1-572) and found I got jigger all from all attempts to do so. I'm not quite sure what has caused it to change overnight (it was working fine yesterday) but I'm really starting to worry about it. I'm not that good with technical computer things anyway, and would really rather not have to take it anywhere to be looked at as I've got a thing about handing over a computer that has access to my confidential things like emails, social media account, banking details, but equally I cannot just let the computer sit unfixed when I need access to it for college work (extremely baaaad timing for a final year degree student) and due to being busy it's been a while since I've backed up some fairly valued files like my photos and work documents, which I'm now lamenting a potential loss of.  To describe the issue, I've summarised a few of the key problems and would appreciate any help or advice as this is really concerning me now: - The laptop is plugged in and showing a single blue light when connected to the mains as per usual. (I have tried using multiple plug sockets to be certain it wasn't that, all with no success).- When pressing the on button, I get absolutely no on-screen response and get about 10 seconds of a second little blue light, before that too blinks out. Yesterday I was getting a blue screen of death from Windows 10, so this morning I decided to install Linux instead. However how my laptop won't even get to a point which allows me to boot from a flash drive.
What usually happens is that the Acer logo pops up on the screen and then stays there regardless of what I hit. Other times, the screen will flash between being black on and black off; sometimes this will go to the stuck Acer screen. Very rarely, Windows will boot up "correctly" but after a while the screen will freeze and appear to have image glitches on the screen like so: http://i.imgur.com/PvJKSxQ.jpg

I believe this might be a hardware issue, but is there anything I can do to fix it?

Hi. . .

Seems like a hardware issue; not sure.

How old is this system? I would strongly suggest that you return it for another otherwise you will end up with a system for the next few years that will be a giant headache for you.

There's no reason for a new system to act like this and your sanity will end up paying the price.

Take the system back to the store you bought it at or contact Acer Support -

EDIT: The only other thing that I can suggest is to boot with your Windows 10 DVD (if one came with the system or if you burned a set per the owner's manual instructions). You'll likely have to change the BIOS firing order so that booting from the DVD is first in line.

Hi I have a laptop that I have Linux on that I am trying to reload Windows XP on. Its an acer aspire and for some reason when I start the installation processes from the boot cd., the second it starts going to to recognize the hardware it just has a black screen and the hard drive and dvd rom drives spin down, and it does not proceed to go into the installation.

This problem starts very quickly right at the very beginning of the installation process. I haven't seen anything on acers website like a bios upgrade or anything to fix this issue. Anyone else seen this issue and have any way around it? BTW, Linux installed just fine. Just not windows. The Windows CD works fine too.

A:Trying to install Windows XP on Acer Aspire 3000 install fails

Hi,

I just had the same problem on an Acer Veriton Desktop. I had installed Linux on the machine and then wanted to revert to XP Pro.

I managed to get XP reinstalled eventually but took a while to figure out what was causing it. Turns out it was because the hard drive was formatted into 'ext3' by Linux. I am not sure yet why this caused a problem so early in the XP setup but it did. I took the drive out of the machine and put it in another I had, formatted it back to NTFS and created a Primary partition on it. Put it back in the Acer and ran XP setup and it worked straight away.

Hope this helps others who have the same problem in the future.

So I've been using this laptop for half a year (max) and a week ago some overheating problems appeared. I don't what's the problem, but as soon as I launch some heavy apps like an IDE or some games, that it handled easy at the past, it starts overheating. Never had it shut down because of that, but it's realy annoying. I've notice that the cooling fan always works at low-medium speed. Even if it gets very hot the fan doesn't care and doesn't increase it's speed. Even now when I have only my browser open it's still pretty warm. Already tried to use programs to manually change the fan speed, but none of them see the fan. And bios doesn't have an option for it.

My acer aspire v5-531 4636 has no where to connect an ether net cable or even a phone line. I can't set up my new modem and router because the modem was my fathers and I need to connect it directly to reset all of that. I tried typing in my dns and resetting it that way and it did nothing. The only light besides the power light on the modem that is blinking is the one reading "DS." Is there any solution to this that doesnt involve buying something? And if i have to buy something what is it?

You can use a wireless connection to configure a router, but you need to know what you're doing and when/why you will lose connection. If you don't know the current encryption key reset the unit to factory defaults.

A USB (assuming you have a USB port) ethernet adapter would be a useful thing for you to have, both now and later when you have wireless problems.

I have been having problems with my ACER notebook booting for a while. It first started to shut down automatically at various times, leaving me unable to successfully reboot for around ten minutes after automatic shut down. When computer did eventually reboot i encountered an option screen with the various booting options. After this happened for a while i was advised to use the system recovery disks. Halfway through a full recovery the computer shut down automatically. I am now left with a completely wiped hard drive, with no operating system and it still will not allow reinstall windows. I would be very grateful if someone could help me with my problems!! I am suspicious that i may have a boot sector virus. I have no idea what to do now... is there any hope of saving my computer?

Can anyone offer me some advice with my Acer Aspire V5-571? I have been having some issues. When I got the laptop in 2013 it had Windows 8 and a 750GB hard disk. I know that Windows 10 is not officially supported by Acer on this particular model. However, I updated to Windows 10 earlier this year when it was free and when the Windows 10 upgrad advisor said there were no issues. Last week I purchased a 960GB SSD to put into the laptop to replace thr 750GB drive. The SSD was recognised fine by the BIOS and I have installed Windows 10 on to it. However, I am having issues with a clean install that I did not have on the previous installation of Windows 10. I am having some disk errors in Event Viewer:   I also noticed that in my previous installation of Windows 10 on here (which was uphgraded over 8.1), my hard disk controller in Device Manager was listed as an Intel SATA AHCI Controller (series 7 I think) but now it is Standard SATA AHCI Controller, so a generic Windows driver:  Is this driver sufficient? Also, on my previous Windows 8.1 -> Windows 10 install on the 750GB drive, I had a feature of the Acr/Realtek sound driver called Dolby Surround in the system tray in the bottom right - I could right click it and turn it on or off. Well I have downloaded the driver from Acer's driver section (called Audio_Realtek_v6.0.1.7027_W81x64_A.zip) but when I install this on my clean Windows 10 install on the SSD, although it installs the R...
