I recommend downloading and running DAP. It can help sort out any driver and firmware related issues on your system

It's worked out well for many of us in the past.

You can download it direct from this link http://downloaddap.org. (This link will open the download page of DAP so you can save a copy to your computer.)

Navigate to key HKLM\System\CurrentControlSet\Control\Class\{4D36E972-E325-11CE-BFC1-08002BE10318} if you find in this key phrases UpperFilter,LowerFilters ->remove them +restart.

FYI:
I think it is similar to famous DVD trouble Your CD drive or DVD drive is missing or is not recognized by Windows or other programs.I know it can't remove UpperFilter,LowerFilter for all kind of devices but I compared with my registry this key I can I sure I don't have UpperFilter,LowerFilter in this key also.So for this device is also appriopate procedure.

That explains why your computer is infected in the first place.

Beyond that, you will need drivers for your chipset, sound card, video card, and others - but those are the most important.

A:Windows 7 32 bit drivers required for Hp 15-BE002TU

Hello, Welcome to the HP Support forum ! I am not sure if 32-bit Windows is supported, but you may try. x64 is supported for sure. You can get the drivers for Windows 7 from HP website/servers . Here is the URL >> http://support.hp.com/in-en/drivers/selfservice/HP-15-Notebook-PC-series/10862306/model/11543974 If you do not have Internet connection after Windows 7 is installed, you can copy the files from another computer and transfer them to your HP 15 via USB thumbdrive (for example).  Let me know if this helps and do not hesitate to post again if something is not clear.

Hi: See if the W7 32 bit drivers from the HP Probook 450 G3 work for your model.  Do not use the BIOS and firmware files from this model on yours. http://h20564.www2.hp.com/hpsc/swd/public/readIndex?sp4ts.oid=7834518&swLangOid=8&swEnvOid=4053 You want to install all of the drivers listed under the chipset section. You want the Realtek ethernet (LAN) driver for the ethernet controller. PCI Device needs the realtek card reader driver under the storage driver section. The unknown device may need the 3D driveguard driver under the storage section. I don't know what model wireless card your notebook has, so please post the hardware ID for the Network Controller device and I will let you know what wireless driver from the list of network drivers your notebook needs. To find the hardware ID, go to the device manager and click on the device listed as a Network Controller. Then click on the Details tab at the top of the Network Controller window. Now you will see a Property drop down list, and it will be set to Device Description. Drop down on that list and select the 2nd item (Hardware ID's). Post the top string of characters that you see in the window.

Hi -

Boot up your system into recovery using the Vista DVD or the recovery partition (most systems = F10 key during boot).

From recovery perform a Windows System Restore; if not able, choose the system repair option.

Hello all. My laptop used work perfectly until the day I decided to remove all the extra stuff by doing a clean install of Windows 10.  I predownloaded all the drivers I would need and then did the clean installation.  Now I have an issue with my wifi.  It randomly drops connection to wifi and is slow to start working again.  After coming out of sleep it does not automatically reconnect to the ap and I have to trigger it manually.  Separately (i think) when coming out of sleep, the login screen does not respond to the keyboard and I am forced to use the mousepad to click or a touchscreen swipe to get to the password field. What I'm seeking is an official list of drivers that are required for a clean windows 10 install on a thinkpad yoga series 20CD.  If order of installation is critical, please give this also.  I believe I downloaded everything available from the support page but just want to be sure.  Sometimes not all drivers are available when filtering by OS "Windows 10".   Thanks in advance. Laptop specs are:512gb ssdmemory card slot2.4/5 n/ac wireless 7260ac w/bluetooth

I was actually getting ready to post here about my x00000124 problem but reading other posts realized that my motherboard drivers were freakishly out of date (2006 versions, forgot about them last time I was installing a system). I dled all new ones, installed them all, performed a restart and then used newly installed ASUS Suite to update my BIOS.

Not sure if that's relevant, but after that last successful startup there was a bunch on popups asking for promision to launch several application (related to the driver update I imagine). I agreed to all of those and nothing beyond that happened.
I did not restart computer again before performing BIOS upgrade.

BIOS itself seems to work just fine.

When I attempted to start system with new BIOS my computer restarts about 1 sec after starting animation begins. I can only launch it in "Startup Repair" mode and it communicates that automatic repair was impossible. For those reasons i can't provide that archive with dumps and whatnot. Safe Mode isn't working either.

I'll rewrite problem signature "System Repair" provided:

Problem Event Name: StartupRepairOffline
Problem Signature 01: 6.1.7600.16385
2: 6.1.7600.16385
3: unknown
4: 21199297
5: AutoFailover
6: 2
7: BadDriver
OS Version: 6.1.7601.2.1.0.256.1
Locale ID: 1033

Forgive me shitty formatting but am on the phone right now.

Does anyone know of a tool that will allow you to load drivers into a windows installation? while not actually booted from that installation? MSDaRT allows you to look at things...but doesn't give you an option to load new drivers

background: I have a PC that does not have proper chipset (no USB) / LAN drivers.
this means when windows loads I cannot use any USB devices and my NIC doesn't connect as it doesn't have a proper driver. so...basically I can't do anything.
MoBo does not have any PS/2 connections.

A:Load drivers outside of windows

I would think that USB drivers would be pretty universal by now. Just about every motherboard on the planet uses one of a hand full of USB controllers and those drivers are included with Windows driver base. I'm sure you've probably done this but I'll ask anyway. Have you gone into the BIOS and verified that USB is enabled? May also want to check to see if USB Legacy support is enabled too? If you can't get into the BIOS with your USB keyboard I would reset the BIOS to defaults with the motherboard jumper.

Hi,
I installed Windows 7 Professional over the weekend and after installing all the Windows updates the computer ran extremely well. Today, I installed Office 2007 and didn't have any problems. When I turned off the computer there were about 20 updates for Office that got automatically installed.

When I turned on the computer again, the starting process was painfully slow, and the display resolution was not correct. On the Device Manager, the display adapter includes the correct NVIDIA adapter but there is a warning "Windows cannot load the device driver for this hardware. The driver may be corrupted or missing. (Code 39)" (But it worked fine before I turned it off!) If I update the driver software, it says that the one I have is up to date! This also occurs with the coprocessor.

Any help would really appreciated.

A:Windows 7 does not load some drivers

Use a system restore point to before you did the updates.

Install them one at a time after, if you want to narrow down to which one caused it. If you don't want to do that, just don't install any updates.

Hello All,
I am having some trouble lately with my USB ports. I recently had the Agent2 Trojan, and in the process of removing it, it seemed to damage some things. After several restarts, updates, virus checks, everything was fixed except for the USB ports (which randomly stopped functioning). I am getting these error in device manager:

Standard Enhanced PCI to USB Host Controller - Windows cannot load the device driver for this hardware. (code 39)
Standard OpenHCD USB Host Controller - Windows cannot load the device driver for this hardware. (code 39)

I have a Abit KN9 motherboard with a Nvidia nForce 570 SLI chipset. I have already tried updating the chipset (but it appears the USB driver is a windows driver, and is not contained in the chipset drivers). I'm running XP sp3 and windows update does not list the drivers. It seems if I could just download and replace the drivers (from Microsoft I assume) it would solve the problem - but I cannot find them anywhere. I have searched Microsoft's website, and just about every other website for these files with no luck. This is my last resort!

Any ideas would be very helpful. Thank you very much for reading.

Hey guys,

So i'm using the windows ISO creation download..

I am installing windows 8.1 core on a Lenovo y410p..
hwinfo 64 says this for chipset: Intel HM86 (Lynx Point)

Once I reboot to start the process of Installing windows, around the point of when I format the drive to ready it, there is an option to "load drivers" before the actual install..

Can/Do I use the "load drivers" before I actually install windows? Ive seen that button but never really used it. Is that what that is for, to install chipset drivers I downloaded or something?

A:Load Drivers before installing Windows..

I've never had to use that myself, if it asks for drivers that would the time to use it otherwise just do the install and update/install drivers after.

As long as you are connected to the internet windows will find any drivers it needs to complete the install.

If you have a OS drive that requires a driver to see (raid controller, some SSD's, sata controller, etc), then you cant use the windows 8 startup troubleshooting tools. There is no option in the menu to load drivers and therefor every recovery tool in the menu fails.

While the majority of computers don't need to load drivers to see the main boot drive, a fair amount do, so this lack of ability to load drivers to see it confuses me. I feel like I must be missing something. I even looked at trying to load drivers from the command prompt, but its not available with the tools in the troubleshoot environment.

I did find a "way" to get the recovery tools to work on drives that need drivers. Grab the windows 8 disk and proceed with an install until it asks you to load drivers for drives. After you load the driver, cancel out of the install which will bring you back to the start of the windows install disk which has a "repair my computer" option. That option loads an identical troubleshoot environment, but now has access to the drive thanks to the install processes "load driver" option.

The biggest problem with that tho is, not only do you need to have the install disk, but you also need your serial key so that you can proceed to the install point that has the option to load the drivers. If you come across a machine that someone has asked you to fix, what are the ... Read more

Hello craige1 and welcome to TSF,

You can load drivers into Windows 8 through the Device Manager applet, like in previous versions of Windows... It is found in the Device Manager... Just type "Device Manager" on the start screen...

Hi,
I'm having a problem with catalyst drivers. I installed Win7 32-bit yesterday and everything was working fine until I installed catalyst control center, which now causes the system to stay stuck on the blue windows wallpaper without explorer or mouse cursor. I can get to safe mode and perform a system recovery, then I can boot normally. I also tried multiple versions of drivers, but it always does the same thing. Im using Radeon HD5770, Gigabyte P43T-ES3G Mobo, Intel Core2Quad 2,5 GHz (not sure about the exact model number) and 4 GB Ram. Everything worked fine before reinstalling windows and my system specs are exactly the same as they were before. Any ideas? Thanks.

I reinstalled Windows XP home SP2 and now I can't load any printer driver unless it came on a disk. I'm trying to install an HP Deskjet 812c through USB. Part way through driver installation I get the message "Printer driver was not installed. Operation could not be completed." I've tried various other print drivers and get the same message. My Canon i560 installed without issue from the disk.

Any suggestions? It's making me CRAZY!

I wanted to format it because it would not even start it ends up with error : A disk read error occurred Press Ctrl+Alt+Del to reco... and pressing these doesn't do anything.

Please note:
I can't use any software to check my hard drive as I am not even able to get into windows. I have tried removing and reinserting the hard drive, didn't help.

I'm using usb for installation as I don't have a CD.

Hello,
I recently bought a Royal Laptop with Windows 98. It has a 266 mhz MMX Processor with a 3.02 GB Hard-drive and a 32 mb RAM. I did not get the laptop with a CDROM drive and just bought one a couple of weeks ago. It is a 24X CDROM with a PC-MCIA card. I could use the CDROM drive fine in Windows 98, but Windows 98 was giving me a lot of problems so I decided to reinstall it.

Thus, I reformatted my computer and rebooted it with a boot disk with the CDROM drivers. I have all the necessary lines in my config.sys and autoexec.bat files. However, after countless tries, I am still unable to access my CDROM drive. My computer loads the Autoexec.bat and Config.sys files, loads the D:\ drive with the CDROM drivers, and after a long time, finally goes to the command prompt. During this time, the computer powers up my CDROM drive, and it seems like it is trying to read it. However, when I try to access my D:\ drive by typing perhaps the "dir" command, it gives an error message saying it cannot read the drive and asks me to Abort, Retry, or Fail, during which I have to Abort.

I contaced the tech support of the CDROM drive company many times and they said that the rechargable batteries and the laptop might not be providing enough power in DOS mode, and asked me to buy a PS/2 Adapter for it. Would this fix the problem? Is there any other way to access my CDROM drive?

I would sincerely appreciate any help!

Thanks!!

Also i forgot to mention that all the devices listed have yellow exclamation marks next to them.

Hi,

I've been having a restart loop on my computer. I found out how to access the windows recovery console, by using my Windows XP CD, and I know what to do from there to repair windows XP (I type 'R' and so on...I know all the steps after that). But when I want to repair windows, it says my hard drive (SATA) is not installed.

So I found out that I need to press F6 at the start, to load my Sata hard drive drivers from a disk. This is all fine.

My question is: will I lose data from my hard drive by selecting the option of pressing F6 to load new drivers? Or will my data still be OK after pressing f6?

Thanks

A:windows recovery console: press f6 to load SATA drivers

Hi BlingDogg and welcome to TSF

You won't loose any data with that step. Go on and insert the floppy with the drivers.

Only changes that will be done to your drive will be the ones resulting from the repair install : you'll have to redo all latest updates on Windows update and possibly reinstall some applications if they stop working. Apart from that all your data should be fine.

I have received this error with 2 network adapters now. I just bought another to see if that would fix the error present. Yes, I have installed the official drivers from the companies website. I have no idea why this is occurring. I have run multiple virus scans, to find nothing.

ATI recommends Windows XP Service Pack 2 or higher to be installed

now they recommend it be installed, but does it have to be installed? cause i really dont want to install SP2, cause there's nothing wrong with my PC and i feel im gonna be bringing on undo stress if stuff starts going screwy.

id like to stay upto date on my video card but if i have to goto SP2 then i'll stay @ cat 4.9

There is an issue on SP2 using the ATI RADEON™ X800 XT card, though that's not yours:

This is all about it:

After some System problems, I appear to have lost or corrupted the Drivers for my DVD Drives.

I require:-

NEC ND-4551A for DVD RW

LG GDR-8164B for DVD ROM

I have tried the Manufacturer's sites with no success, and Google only points me in the direction of Driver Update sites that I need to pay for.

Any help would be much appreciated.

A:DVD Drivers required

Hi,

If you open up Device Manager you can find the CD/DVD in the list (click the + next to CD/DVD drives), right click the device and select 'Uninstall'. This will uninstall the driver for you. Reboot the machine and Windows will attempt to re-install the driver for you.

Hope it helps

I have done image from physical computer (with the help of Ghost).
Then I applied this image to virtual HDD (my OS is - Windows 7 Enterprise)
Then I fix boot with the help of -start up recovery- option of installation disk of Windows 7 professional.
Windows start booting but then crashes with error "0x0000007b"
So I want to load drivers of virtual SCSI controller with help of Windows recovery console or ERD commander or other utilities.
Please help me to find right VMware 7 drivers for Windows 7 Enterprise and load it to offline Windows 7 Enterprise

I do not want to make Windows reinstallation (repair) with help of installation disk (it will destroy some bugs that I want to keep unattached).

I do not want to use automatic physical to virtual conversion tools (don't ask why)
I just want to preload necassary drivers with the help of recovery console or ERD commander or other utilities.

P.S. May be I should install Windows 7 Enterprise on new Virtual machine and then export drivers with this tools http://sourceforge.net/projects/drvback/

Quick summary: SATA Controllers on motherboard are not working. Ordered and installed a PCI-E SATA Controller Card. Connected Hard Drive & DVD Drive to new card ports. Upon attempting to boot installed windows 7, it spontaneously restarts before loading. It seems that I need to get the Controller Card's drivers installed. i try startup repair mode, and I can load the driver and see the Windows 7 installation after that, but then I don't know how to permanantly add the drivers for this installation.

Any help? Or do I need to reformat and re-install? Thanks

A:New SATA Controller Card, Windows wont boot, how to load drivers?

Win7 should not need SATA drivers as it has most of them. There is likely another issue.

Is HD set to boot after DVD drive in BIOS?

Is Startup Repair autostarting from the HD, or are you booting DVD to access Repair console on second screen? If not, try that to run Startup Repair a few times, making sure Win7 or its 100mb boot partition (preferred) are marked Active: Partition - Mark as Active (Method Two) .

If it's autostarting from HD then the change in SATA controller may be too much for your extant Win7 to start. This requires running Paragon Adaptive Restore CD on the installation from boot, or clean Reinstalling Windows 7.
