Q: Can't print shipping labels

I'm trying to print shipping labels with usps, ups, and this windwo pops up from the sharpdesk composer - don't know what that is - with this error message:
Failed to get the Image Data. Out of Memory of System Disk place.

I have a PIXMA MP150 Scanner/printer, Windows xp pro. The printer prints fine.

Please, if someone could give me a hand here I would greatly appreciate it. I'm at work now, got like twenty packages gotta ship and i'm stuck.

A user has a request to generate 300 fedex labels from names and addresses in an excel spreadsheet.

To my surprise I was not able to find either a word template or a software utility from Fedex to do this.

I did find a software called Shiprush but it does not really meet the requirements.

Any Suggestions?

Hi Everybody;

In order to ship transfer orders a shipping label must be generated. In AX 2009 shipping labels we generate these via Clippership, Chesterton?s 3<sup>rd</sup> party multi carrier shipping system, automatically via a modification to AX 2009.
Unfortunately, AX 2012 R3 does not have the ability ?out of the box? to interface with Clippership to generate shipping labels for transfer orders (because the data isn?t posted to the required table).

Why aren't transfer orders posted to the carrier transaction table when the packing slip is posted?  Only sales orders are posted to the carrier transaction table.

How do you generate shipping labels for transfer orders?  Manually?

Somebody even suggested processing transfer orders as sales orders and then using intercompany elimination to back out the sales.  Does that make sense?

Any help appreciated.

Sorry for the newbie question, but I've not printed on CD labels before and I'm not sure how to go about it. My printer is a Deskjet 1220C HP, I'm not even sure if it's able to print labels, but I would have assumed it could. I tried looking for an option on page setup and in the printer options, but I am either being blind or it isn't called something obvious. I'd like to print onto 116cm diameter CD labels, with the description "SL2A is format compatible to Avery L7760". There are two die cut labels to a sheet, and they're centred horizontally. If my printer cannot automatically cater to these requirements, is there any way I can manually align the images correctly, or any free software out there to help? I have Photoshop version 8.

I can?t print Avery labels on my laser HL 2140 Brothers printers. I go into Word 2010 under Mailings click on Labels put in 48263 for a 2X4 put in my address and I get an Error (A red light) and it won?t print. I have a color laser printer that will print these labels but is there reasons why this printer won?t are is it something I might be doing wrong?

Do you have the most recent updated Drivers.

Have you read the Manual on the Printer.

Are you placing the paper in the right place. Look in the back area of the Printer behind the Paper bit, there should be markings too where you should be putting this, Ie its not grabbing the Item.

I am merging an excel file into word labels and all is good except the merge only takes the first 30 names to fit on 1 page of 5160 labels. I thought that maybe the page just didn't show up so I did the tab thing, but the names are not there. Only 30 names merge to make 1 page. I am using XP Professional. A co-worker said that she had the same problem and gave up. I don't want to give up so here I am. Thanks for any help that you can offer. Liz

I want to make a back up copy of all of my Cd's but I want to be able to recognize the copied disc... I want to scan in the Cd itself and be able to print it out on the CD label paper I have. Most of the label maker programs come with "templates" to match the paper label stock required. You can print the CD covers for the cases. You just scan it and copy&paste it onto the template.

I get shipments with pallets loaded with 60 boxes each. My product deals with six different sizes (known as 110,150,175,200,230 and 250). I dont get a set amount of boxes per size, it varies from load to load (i.e. one day I may get 97 boxes of size 110 and the next I may get 23 boxes of size 110). I need to print out a label for each size I receive specifying the LOT number, product SIZE and the AMOUNT of boxes that can't exceed 60 per label printed. Meaning if I get 97 boxes size 110 I have to make 2 labels. One for (lot)number, (size)110 and (amount) 60 and a second one for the remaining (lot number) (size)110 (amount)37. I need to do the same for the remaining sizes for the entire lot. I need to use a regular sized sheet for printing as I recycle old paper, four labels per sheet. I've done this manually for the past dozen years, however I know theres got to be a way to automate the printing process from data I normally input in MS excel so that this activity doesn't take more than 2 minutes of my time. I want to be able to input data on Excel and have it automatically work out how many labels to print based on the data and the allocations corresponding per label. Any pointers, or any help even a nudge towards the right direction will be greatly appreciated.

Hi

You don't provide enough information so this is theoretical but I'd say that the best way to do this is to use Mail Merge in word linked to your Excel data.

You'd need to arrange your Excel data in a data base format (easy enough depending on how you enter the data) and then set up your word document as 4X4 labels and the mail merge to accept each record in the Excel file into each defined label. Set up could be a bit of a pain as will learning how to run the mail merge but thereafter it is only a matter of using the same Word document and linking it to your current list and printing your labels - a 2 minute (at most) exercise.

I've attached an example of how the Excel data should look and a Word document with 4X4 labels set up and links established (you may need to re-establish the links after you save the documents.

I use win 98 and word 2000. I have a nice label file, produced for an avery template. The whole merge process went without a hitch But I can't print the file. It locks up my printer. Other things print fine but this word document (the merged page of labels) doesn't print. any ideas? Thanks, Frank

I have never needed to do this until recently, but would like to design and print my own CD labels and the covers that go into the plastic boxes. I have Windows 7 Ultimate on my PC, but am concerned that there seem to be loads of free software, but have no idea what is good or bad.

I want to produce good quality with my own logo and possibly photo on the cover and don't mind if I have to pay for software. What do you guys suggest please

Hi all,
I used mail merge in Microsoft Word to create several pages of labels. When I try to print using a Hewlitt Packard LaserJet 4Si, one page will print correctly then the printer will stop with an error that I need to load paper. Once this error comes up, I have to completely reset my printer in order to print Anything.

The error also says I must use Manual Feed. But when I load the paper into the manual feed, only half the page will print. The rest looks likes it's running out of toner. Again, I have to reset the printer.

Any ideas on how to get my labels to print correctly?

Had an old Address book program from Parsons Technology that I used for keeping my address book up to date and could print labels (numerous types) for Christmas cards, etc. 
 
What was also included was you could add 2 different addresses for one family, work info, birthdates, and could print by catagories such as Christmas card lists, family, etc.
 
It hasn't had an update for years and it's getting tougher and tougher to find anything like it.  Anybody have an idea that'll work?
 
And it doesn't work too well in Windows 7 unless I install it using the compatibility mode, and then it still doesn't work perfectly.  Hate to keep a backup Win XP machine just to use this program.  LOL

Hi,

I Hope someone can help. I am trying to print mail merged address labels. (Windows XP) I created a database of addresses from a works spreadsheet. From that database I created a word 2002 document. I went through all the mail merge wizard steps, the document information shows perfectly on the screen, and when the info is sent to the printer to print the labels the printer shoots the paper through (quickly) but does not print.

My printer is functionally fine, will print all other documents.

What am I doing wrong?

I have had problems with Word's merge wizard also. To make lables, I made a little label program. It's simple to use, but it only prints in the Avery 5160 format.

I can send it to you if you are interested. I can't attach it here because it is 2.5 megs zipped.

My daughter's Brother MFC-J4310DW inkjet printer jams whenever she tries to print a sheet of labels. I contacted Brother tech support and they said this printer is not recommended for printing labels.

Does anyone have any recommendations for inkjets that do a good job of printing sheets of address labels (including color graphics)? It would need to have wireless networking (on Win 7), and good quality photo printing would be a plus. Any suggestions would be appreciated.

I have recently acquired a Laptop running Windows 7 Professional. Originally I used Windows 98 (Word 2000 version) and thereafter Windows XP Home. Previously, with both systems, to print addresses on Envelopes and Labels I simply clicked on Tools and up came *Envelopes and Labels*. I clicked on that and I was off.
*Tools* in my Windows 7 does not help. Is this facility hidden somewhere else ? I have hunted but have not found anything as yet. Any ideas?

I have a brother QL 580 n printer that I use to print labels from an application my issues is that when I try to print labels according to size specifically small labels the printer starts like it is printing the light turns red then it does not print.However if I try to print a standard label it prints with a lot of wasted white space.How can I get it to print label to size as per the text in this case it is 62mm by 29mm.

I exported files from access to excel, after formatting i opened word2010 and attempted to merge mailing labels from from excel. after choosing the file I wanted to merge and clicking finish and merge I got an "invalid feilds" box. Our systems have recently been updated from xp to windows 7 and the fields are no longer matched. I manually matched the fields and clicked the option to "remember" the fields, but they don't apply and are "forgotten" so to speak. Please help, I needed these labels two days ago

My fiance and I are trying to print some address labels for our wedding invitations but we are unsure of what to do. We can type them up in Word, Excel or whatever and put them into a label type format so we can print them up.

What's confusing to us is that we can't figure out how to make the labels print different address on each label.

Fortunately for me I have all of my addresses already stored in my Windows Mail. I could just copy and paste them into whatever someone can recommend to me.

There is a good feature in Word called (Mail Merge) you can easily have all your contats stored in an excel file or outlook contacts (not sure about windows mail but you can export them to excel if it doesn't work)

In word 07, click the (Mailing) tab, choose (Lables) and choose the type of your lables,(select recipients), (insert Merge fields) Edit as necesart and print. It should be an easy step by step procedure

Part of the answer is that there are preset label templates in the program. There should be a code on your label package. You would then look for a matching code in the label program.On the labels tab you see in the first screen shot you posted, on the bottom portion you will see Brand: Here you select the brand name of the labels. I did see a few A4 entries under a couple different brand names and Type: Here you select the code of the labels.If what you need isn't there, then you can create your own template. OpenOffice help topic with the title Labels subtopic Creating and sychronizing will tell you how to do that. Hi, I think I have a new one for you. I've seen this problem posted on other sites and no solutions ever addressed.

I'm mail merging a a mailing list onto sheets of ten labels, a different number of labels every day, anywhere from 30-200. I've used the wizard any number of times, always with the same result, never with an option or menu that provides a fix:
-- 1st sheet looks okay -- records 1-10 appear
-- 2nd sheet, records 2-11 appear
-- 3rd sheet, records 3-12 appear
-- etc, till there are as many sheets as there are records in the database. So for today's mailing list of 45 records, I had 45 sheets instead of 5.

The first label in my template has a header that says "Research Study" followed by the mail merge fields -- custom arranged, not using Address Block or anything preset. The propogated labels all say "<<Next Record>>" in front of "Research Study". I can provide an example if needed.

It also doesn't allow me to choose the order in which the emails propogate, i.e. I can go across but not down. I've done this many times in older versions of Word without these problems. I've used the Avery system, but I have to go thru the wizard each and every time when all I want to do is make a reusable template to copy and merge new records into each day.

Please help.

I've had good luck with HP computers, and recently ordered a new EliteDesk. The problem is, I paid a premium for next-day delivery. The unit was shipped from Texas (to Northern California) on May 25th. It is now May 31st, and I don't have it yet. FedEx dropped the ball and failed to deliver it today, and they say I'll have it tomorrow -- but in the course of my discussion with them, they said it was shipped GROUND. Because it was shipped ground, I am certainly entitled to a refund on the premium shipping charge that was billed to my credit card. But here's the real problem: As far as I can tell, there is NO page on the HP website that provides a phone number I can use to call and complain about this. I have looked and looked and looked. I would love it if some kind person would provide a customer support phone number so I can call and explain the problem to them. Or even a URL of the web page that has a phone number. I do quite understand that large corporations don't want to hear from customers after they have made a sale ... but in this case, if I don't get a commitment from HP to rescind the charge for next-day shipping, I'll have to have my Visa cancel the entire payment for the computer, and then where will we be? It will be a headache for everybody. So how about a phone number, eh?

I am building a new Haswell PC here on the right coast of the US, and need to ship it to the owner on the left coast - built, tested, and loaded.

Has anyone done this and have any tips to try and get it to it's destination in working condition?

The owner is fairly mechanically inclined, but has never worked inside a PC before, so I am wary of what I can ask her to do.
My main concern is we are considering a CoolerMaster Hyper 212 EVO, and I am concerned about the height of this thing creating enough leverage to tear the socket out if there was a jolt. I've considered removing it and then trying to walk her through installing it at her end but I'm not sure this is the best plan.
Or we could just stick with the stock heatsink and fan and not deal with the EVO.

Any experiences and tips would be appreciated!

Well if it was me I would get bunch of static free bubble wrap and stuff the inside of case so things don't move then wrap outside of case put in box then get bigger box and put more wrap between the two boxes. That should protect everything then make sure you put insurance on it for a value twice the amount of the package. Forgot to say to mark the box this side up so motherboard is on bottom of box.

I bought an Xbox on Ebay and the shipping wasnt listed but instead it had the Ebay calculate shipping for the product. The Calculated shipping was only 30$ but the seller sent me an inovice with 68$ for shipping. Can the seller charge such a price on shipping when the calculated price was so much lower? Im just wondering before I pay for the item.

But Ebay say "Shipping services and rates available for shipping to United States.
All prices include any packaging and handling fees charged by the seller.", so if you selected correctly, the answer is no, ask for an explanation.

Hi,   I am not sure if I should have posted this in any existing appropriate thread. I have ordered a P50 (config includes 2 X 1 TB PCIe NVMe SSDs, 1 X 1TB HD). I placed the order on 12th April and was informed there could be 3-4 weeks of delay (because of PCIe SSDs availability) with estimated shipping date 12th May. In between (a week back or so), I called and I was told that estimated shipping date is 11th Of May and there is no change or surprise in the shipping date. When I didn't get any shipping notification yesterday or today, I called back and the rep was not sure about the status of my order and hence she promised to update me by end of today. Just now, I got her email saying the shipping is delayed further caused by "hard drive". I am not sure if this further delay is due to hard drive of 1TB PCIe NVMe SSDs. Do any of you, who may have ordered P50 with 1TB PCIe NVMe SSD(s), got P50 delivered? How long it took? If its really about the hard drive, I may even consider dropping this from the config (should have done at the first place).

HiMy p71 has been delayed by over a month! Really? I order it at Sept 1st, Lenovo first tells me it will be shipped at 12th. However, Lenovo delayed the estimated shipping to 14th, then 15, then 16th. Finally, Lenovo delayed the estimated shipping day at 26th!!!!!  I ordered the computer on September first and it will arrive on October 4th! I won't  buy Lenovo anymore! Shipping system sucks! Nobody gives me an apology.

Howdy,

Just sent my daughter-in-law a Gateway2000 via UPS from Michigan to Texas. It was running perfect when it left me. She just called and said that it would not turn on...nothing....nada.
She has changed power cords and has plugged it into the wall and to no avail.

Suggestions PLEASE!!

Hi Spaceman_333,
During the move the power connector could have come loose from the motherboard. Check all the power connections to see that they are snug!!
Make sure the connection to the power switch is snug also.

@Jm567? Typical time to build a "CTO"  Custom-to-Order system is two weeks. Even the "two week" time frame is dependent on the type of system being built.  For example, if the parts for your particular system are not available at the time your order is processed, there may be a delay. Although we at the Community forum cannot help you with the details on your order, you can certainly contact HP if you have concerns. Open the email titled "Your HP Order H### has been received" (replace the ### with your order number). Scroll to the bottom > look for and click "My Order Status". If you do not have the email described, or if your email lacks the contact link, you can contact HP through one of the links that are available in your email (there should be at least one). When you see a Post that helps you,Inspires you, provides fresh insight,Or teaches you something new,Click the "Thumbs Up" on that Post. Click my Answer Accept as Solution to help others find Answers.

Hello everyone. I have searched far and wide on the internet for a solution to this problem, but have yet to find anything. I know about the problems at Digital River with the downloadable student editions. I am more concerned with the Discs I paid $13 extra to have shipped to me.

I was supposed to receive a confirmation e-mail when they shipped. That was exactly two weeks ago, which to me means they still have not shipped. I have tried contacting Digital River (twice) by their customer support form, but have not had any luck with that.

I'm frustrated beyond belief and have no idea what to do. I guess I could just download the .ISO, but the problem with that is then I still lose $13.

Does anyone have any idea what I should do, other than wait some more and eventually give up?

When you ordered the DVD, you should have received a receipt, and hopefully on that receipt there was a contact email and/or phone number. Anything on your receipt?
