I recommend downloading and running Reimage. It's a computer repair tool that has been proven to identify and fix many Windows problems with a high level of success.

I've used it in the past to identify and fix everything from blue screens (BSOD's), ActiveX errors, corrupt files and processes, dll/exe/sys errors, recover lost memory, Windows update problems, defragging, malware removal etc.

You can download it direct from this link http://downloadreimage.com/download.php. (This link will automatically start a download of Reimage that you can save to your computer.)

Intel? Desktop Board D865PERL — Product features

look for a cheap used card from the Nvidia 6xxx (6200) or 7xxx (7300 )series of cards. You don't really want to spend too much as you will not be able to move the card to a new computer if or when you get one. Another thing is that based on the age of your computer there is a good chance that the power supply won't be up to running much more than what you currently have.

I've just got hold of one of these which I am using with an Intel 2.8E 800FSB CPU and 512Mb memory. It came with, IIRC, a P16 BIOS and I updated it to the latest P21 (RL86510A.86A.0089.P21.EB.EXE) BIOS.

Before I updated it I had no real issues but since updating it I can't seem to switch it off using the soft off switch (not the hard switch on the back of the PSU) ... I push the button and it goes off, less than a second later it powers up again. If I hard switch it off then on again it stays off.

I'm sure it's something I've done and, although I can't be sure, I don't think it's a BIOS setting ... my next step would be (if I can find one) to update it backwards (apply an earlier BIOS revision) but I just wondered if anyone had any ideas what might cause this?

I updated the BIOS for my Intel D865PERL motherboard and after I restart the system, I get the following message:

Reboot and Select proper Boot device
or Insert Boot Media in selected Boot device

I can't do anything else. It seems to POST fine. I even tried popping the battery out and putting it back in, but it keeps going back to the black screen with that message.

Afterwards, I noticed that the I/O devices aren't working. It seems like nothing connected to the motherboard is detected (except maybe the RAM). I tried unplugging and replugging my mouse into multiple USB ports and the optical light flashes on for a millisecond before it goes off again. I assume this is the same with my keyboard, so I can't get into the BIOS.

A:Urgent Intel D865PERL Problem

I had a very similar problem with my old motherboard. After i updated it, it would start and my mouse would flash for a millisecond than a black screen would come up telling me that the keyboard aint working or something. The problem with is, is that it wouldnt let me enter the BIOS cause the keyboard wouldnt work (keyboard and mouse is USB btw). One day it somehow fixed itself up, and happened again a few months later, i got pissed of and bought a new one. But if yours is a laptop try entering the BIOS and select the HDD or DVD/CD drive as your boot drive. And also use a PS/2 port mouse and/or keyboard to start it up. It probably wont work, but it helped me from time to time.

Hi All,

I would like to know more about Windows 7 support for the Intel Kaby lake/Skylake CPUs. What will happen when I deploy windows 7 OS onto a new laptop/desktop with that CPU?

My understanding is that one of the follow two scenarios will occur.
1)Windows updates will be downloaded and installed as per normal but they won't be tested for that platform/OS combination. So MS won't provide any support if the behavior of some software changes.
2)There might be some logic built into the updates so that when it detects windows 7 with kaby/skylake, the updates will simply not be installed.

Also, to add to the above - Will deploying the patches via SCCM/WSUS influence the above behavior?

I have already conducted some research, but couldn't get to the answer.

But Windows 7 (64 bit) can't find them. I have searched everywhere for drivers for my network adapter, but I can't find them.

Please find attached the results using 'DxDiag' command and 'msinfo32'.

Please please tell me about the drivers and their links.

The correct install procedure for a Dell is (1) Install Windows (2) Install Dell Desktop or Laptop System Software (3) Install Motherboard Chipset Drivers (3) Install Device Drivers including Video, Sound, Ethernet/Wireless, etc.

Did you follow that procedure. And, install drivers direct from Dell? (There are 5 chipset drivers to install).

Hey there!

So, I recently installed Windows Home Edition 64x onto my computer. However, when I tried to install a driver so that I could access my internet again, it said that the Intel(R) Adapter was no longer to be found when my prior version did have it on the computer. I've been looking into trying different drivers and I've heard that depending on the type of motherboard you have, that has something to do with which ones you want to install. But because this computer was custom built by a friend I'm no longer in contact with, it makes finding out this information a little tricky. I'm just not half as computer savvy as they were. I collected this information based off of other tutorials if it would help any and attached it.

Any help would be greatly appreciated!

After you open it go to the mainboard tab like this,

And either post a screenshot or tell us the manufacturer and model.

This file here will give us your hardware ID's,

I am having a weird issue pertaining only to this piece of hardware Intel CT desktop adapter(pci add in NIC card).

I originally discovered this issue after receiving reports that the PC's were either "locking up" or restarting.
checking the dump files I see a message that says the physical adapter was removed. This is obviously not happening. Its seems likely/apparent that an IRQ conflict is causing these lockups but I cannot find a way to provide definitive proof of this.

The only anomaly with this device is that it shows as having multiple IRQ assignments in both msinfo32.exe and through the device manager.

I have access to at least 10 different machines all identical in hardware running windows 7 with these adapters installed. These are Dell XE'2 spec'ed identical with the exception of the PCI NIC cards that were added after deployment. All have various IRQ's assigned to them most have 6-7. Some as many as 21. They are all running the same driver and I have tested both older drivers and current drivers, Each card will install the same seemingly random number of IRQ's as it had before even after multiple uninstall and reinstall.

I also have at least another 10 in my lab with various other brands of PCI add in NICs (broadcom, SIIG etc.) that do not do not have mutliple IRQ.

Searching the net and various other machines I have access to, I cannot find any other machines with devices that list having more than one IRQ assigned to it. This specific device on ... Read more

I am having an insanely frustrating issue. I just build a brand new gaming rig and it isn't working for the life of me...

MSI Krait Gaming 3x Motherboard

I installed Windows 10 on it, the installation seemed to go well. I logged in and it said that the display drivers were missing as well as the LAN drivers. I went to the MSI support page, downloaded the drivers onto a USB, and attempted to install them on my PC. The installation window showed the entire process, but at the end of the installation a window popped up saying that there are "No Intel(r) adapters present" and the installation failed.

I asked around and had people recommend installing the intel chipset drivers from this link https://downloadcenter.intel.com/download/20775/Intel-Chipset-Device-Software-INF-Update-Utility-

Even after installing that, it still isn't working. I have zero idea what could be going on, it seems like there are no adapters, drivers, or anything on my CPU or MoBo...

Any idea of what I need to do to fix this??

Lil' help please. I bought two Anypoint Wireless USB adapters to run on a two computer network running Windows ME. I bought them from Ebay, so I didn't get any paperwork or drivers. I downloaded the software and the software. I followed the directions on Intel's site, and got the server up and running. No conflicts. Adapter appears to be working fine.

My problem is with my son's computer. He's running the same thing I am. I copied the drivers and software to disk so I could install on his machine. In "networking" it says I have the stuff loaded. When I look in "system" for network adapters, it doesn't show Anypoint at all.

I first installed the driver, then plugged the usb cable into the back of the computer. It was not recognized. I installed it manually. (btw... my usb mouse was recognized - I tested the port).

I can't find help on this anywhere.

A:Intel Anypoint Adapter - USB - Windows ME

Try plugging the anypoint adapter from your son's PC into your PC. If they're identical it should work there and you know that its OK. If not its probably the adapter that has the problem. If it works in your machine then I would suggest that you start again on your son's machine. Install the drivers first, then insert the USB cable into the slot so that Windows has the drivers ready to use when it first finds the device.

I upgraded my reconditioned (2008/06/10) Acer Aspire M1641 from Vista Home Premium to Windows 7 home premium, because under Vista I could not use a second video adapter from a different card manufacturer while using the on-board video (Vista apparently does not allow heterogeneous graphics). At the same time I bought a different video card, being a GeForce 8400 GS from Galaxy. The Win7 upgrade worked OK, but when I put in the PCI Express-16 8400 video card, the M1641 worked using the video from that card, but could not see (in Device Manager) the motherboard video adapter (NVIDIA GeForce 7050), nor could Belarc Advisor detect the GeForce 7050. I had downloaded and installed the latest NVIDIA driver for Win7 (191.07_desktop_win7_winvista_32bit_english_whql.exe) which is said to handle both GeForce 7000 and 8000 series. My questions -
1. Do I need a BIOS update and if so what BIOS file do I need,
2. Do I need driver updates for the M1641 for Win 7,
3. Do I need to go back to Vista to be able to use 2 (homogeneous) video adapters and 2 monitors so I can have the larger desktop area I need to do my work?

And incidentally, how do I set folders to remember their settings in W7? I carefully get a folder looking the way I want that particular folder to look and set its position, then next time I open it it has forgotten....

All help and suggestions gratefully received and acknowledged.

A:W7 does not see motherboard video when 2nd video adapter present + W7 folder question

By default when you install a Video card, it disables the onboard video. You can enable it again in the bios, if that is what you want, but this always causes problems. Your Video card should have 2 outputs (DVI and VGA) to run 2 monitors already, you don't need to enable the onboard video.

Dear folks, I can?t get the Network Adapter Intel 82562 v10/100 to work despite multiple diagnostics, installations and Dell factory system restore (F8). Consistently I get a recalcitrant ?Code 10? in the network adapter driver.

Everything began one day when I was using a program that requires Java. While doing so, I got bored and decided to browse another website (a questionable one) and it didn?t take too long before I got disconnected from the network. The first message was that the Bonjour Service was stopped (mDNSresponse.exe); then my network settings showed ?a cable has been unplugged? but doesn't make sense since my computer is connected to the router through an Ethernet cable. After checking connections anyway, I closed everything, restarted the computer and ran Norton antivirus. Next thing I get was intermittent access to the network which rapidly evolved into marked instability and since then permanent disconnection. To get around it I hooked up a wireless adapter I have at home which works for a while just to end up being useless in a matter hours again with the message ?a cable has been unplugged?.

I ran Norton antivirus & Malaware bytes. The latter one identified 4 viruses: 2 from Malware.Trace (a Registry Value virus), another from Rogue.Antivirus Suite (a registry key -avsuite) and another was Evidence Eliminator. A last one was stored in the Favorites folder which I deleted. I removed them all (o... Read more

My friend has a Dell Dimension 4700. He formatted his hard drive and we can't get the Intel Integrated Pro 10/100 Ethernet card to be recognized. It just says that it is an unknown device and that the drivers are not correct but we can't figure out how to get any updated ones. So we're stuck using the USB connection to the high speed modem (Bell Sympatico).
Thanks for any help

Hi, im a newbie to W7. Just done a (Windows 7 Home Premium 32bit) clean install on my PC. i was using WXP Professional.

Intel Desktop Board DP965LT

Gigabit (10/100/1000 Mbits/sec) LAN subsystem using the Intel? 82566DC Gigabit Ethernet Controller

there is no internet connection at the moment..
I have been trying to update all the drivers from Device Manager. and everything seems ok except my Network adapter and my PCI simple communication controller. there is a (!) symbol on both the icons.

I have looked at the forum and knew other people had the similar problems. i tried all sort of solution..I have tried the WinPro32.exe driver..and WinPro732.exe
and the problem still appearing..
and ideas?
I am considering reinstall my Windows XP Pro and then update all my drivers, get everything working ..then do an upgrade to W7 instead of doing clean install.. will that work??
any suggestion will appreciate !!

A:got problem after installed intel graphics adapter

Hello Sam95 and welcome to Seven Forums.

If you think the installation of this graphic adapter is the cause of your problems than I think it would be wise to either take it away (run the uninstall program that came with the adapter ) or if that does not work, restore your system till a date before this installation.

Hi, I recently bought HP Pavilion all in one PC.It may have dual graphic adapters: Intel HD graphics 530 (Included on the main board) and AMD Radeon R7 A360.I expected that AMD Radeon R7 A360 would be the main graphic adapter becasue I understood that Radeon R7 A360 was better graphic chip than Intel HD 530.But I found that Intel chip was used as the main graphic in the display setting. Is there any reason why HP sets Intel graphic chip for the default setting of main graphic? If the AMD Radeon one is better than Intel HD 530, how I can change the main graphic to AMD? If I should use Intel one for the main graphic, why does HP install AMD graphic card on my PC? Please let me know why it happens. Thank you for your help in advance~

My motherboard has an Intel BT driver but is not certified and therefore not accepted by Windows. (code 52). I followed the advice of "disabling driver signature enforcement" alternatively enabling the option 'ignore' for code signed drivers at User Config/Admin.Template/system/Driver installation.
Nothing works and the device manager still shows the yellow triangle labeled 'Generic Bluetooth Adapter' and under Name: Bluetooth Server and Type: Bluetooth Auxiliary.
Can someone help me to get rid of the yellow triangle - thank you!

I am running Windows 7 64bit retail on an Intel DX58SO2 extreme mobo with i7960 CPU and Corsair SATA3 SSD hard drive, with 12GB KIngston DDR3 1300 RAM.

The mobo comes with a module that connects to an internal USB header which runs Bluetooth and a WiFi 802.11bgn wireless adapter.

I had used Bluetooth without problems for some time, but just recently decided to install the WiFi adapter for the first time. It said it had installed successfully, and showed up on Device Manager as working properly. However, it could not detect networks, and in particular, the WiFi external modem/router on my other PC.

After exhausting all possible solutions, I decided to load a bare bones installation of Windows 7 and it installed and ran perfectly in this environment. And it continued to run OK after all my various programs were loaded.

However, as a test, I uninstalled it from the fully loaded OS, and then successfully reinstalled it. But once again, it could not detect networks despite Device Manager saying it was working correctly.

So it seems the only way to get it to work is to load it on Windows before any other programs or updates are added; and never uninstall/reinstall.

I also had exactly the same experience on my other PC which runs Vista Ultimate OEM. I was using a Belkin N 300 adapter on this OS. It could only be loaded and run successfully on a bare bones installation, but once running, was OK even when all other programs were added.

Has anyone got any sug... Read more
