I recommend downloading and running DAP. It can help sort out any driver and firmware related issues on your system

It's worked out well for many of us in the past.

You can download it direct from this link http://downloaddap.org. (This link will open the download page of DAP so you can save a copy to your computer.)

Hi, I have s730-13IWL that looses battery charge when turned off (around 10% per 24 hours). What I did so far:- Diasable Windows fast startup;- Turned off Always ON USB from BIOS;- Disable WIFI from BIOS. The system is with BIOS version 8HCN33WW from 11 Jul 2019.I can`t find any older version to try downgrade. When I serch the forum it looks like this is a common problem with alot if Lenovo models.I am also working with HP, ASUS and Huawei laptops and they looses no more then 2-3% per week if not used.. Any suggestions on how to fix this or where to find previous BIOS?

Hello,  I recently bought this laptop for business use. I have many problems with since I bought it, including blue screens like critical process died and store unexpected exception. After a long search for a solution and made a shipment for repair that gave nothing, I reinstalled Windows with a USB key.  Currently, I still have blue screens with the kernel power code 41,63. When it restarts, I only see the windows boot manager screen and I have to restart manually.  In addition, I also have recurring wifi losses, the laptop loses the connection and displays the network as "connected, no internet", I am forced to switch to airplane mode or disconnect manually before reconnect to find the wifi.  Hope you can help me because the computer is very unstable in the state.  Thank you, and sorry if my english is bad but I'm french ..!

Hi!Just bought a new Yoga S730-13IWL (81J0002VMX). After setting it up I also updated Windows 10 to version 1903. Hello everyone. I was hoping someone could help me with an issue I'm having with my Lenovo Yoga 730-15IKB. Unfortunately, my 1 year warrant expired one and a half months ago. My trackpad was working completely fine. All of a sudden, it stopped clicking properly. Once in a while, clicking might work. You can hear the trackpad click. When I left click, it might sometimes work. When I right click, it almost never works. If I soft tap the left side, it usually clicks. When I soft tap the right side, it never really clicks. I'm not sure what is causing this problem, so I'm not sure what to do aside from using an external mouse. I used to have a Lenovo Thinkpad, and I never experienced this issue before. This Yoga is 1 year and 1 month old, and it's already having problems. I've never dropped it, moved it while on, or spilled anything on it, so I'm not sure why it's experiencing problems. Would anyone be able to assist me? Thank you in advance!

Hey,  yesterday I received my S530-13IWL Notebook and it looks great. I bought it without an operation system so I used an USB stick with windows 10 to install it. So far no problems, touchpad working, keyboard working, WiFi working after downloaded the driver from Lenovo. But after everything was set up, I started so search for windows updates and it did download a lot of stuff and the pc had to restart. But after that, the keyboard stopped working. Sometimes at the start I can press FN + Space to enable and disable the keyboard lightning, other keys won't work. In device manager everything's fine but the PS/2 Keyboard. It says code 10 and sometimes code 12. After hours of googling I wasn't able to find a solution which is working. I've set the 'Start' value of the 'i8042prt' in regedit from 3 to 1 and installed windows again for a few times. The keyboard still isn't working. I've tried all drivers from this page (https://pcsupport.lenovo.com/us/en/products/laptops-and-netbooks/ideapad-s-series-netbooks/s530-13iw...) except for the BIOS driver. I read about disconnecting the battery but I don't want to open the case. An external keyboard is working. I need a notebook really quick and the lenovo S530 is already the second one after the first had problems with its fan and a pixel error. If there is no solution I have to send it back since there is no time for a repair.  Do one of you guys have any solution or hints for me? Than... Read more

First Windows computer. The 900 is fresh off factory floor in China. My trackpad ALWAYS makes a CLICK noise when I just touch the pad. The only way to not hear that is if I go to the top left or right of the pad then it is silent. The bottom portion always makes that noise. I'm afraid if might drive me nuts. And I'm not talking about punching down on the trackpad, just touching it. Is it supposed to do this? Otherwise my orange 900 is really sweet. Thanks!

A:YOGA 900 Does Trackpad Always Go CLICK!

The trackpad is clicky, I like it like that. Since its a multi touch trackpad, you can just tap it instead of pressing it and you won't hear a click. Optionally, you can use the touchscreen. And yes, its supposed to click like that

I have been using this laptop for a year now, and like everything about it, except the trackpad.  How is it in 2016 that HP managed to build in a touch pad that is useless?  I have had HP laptops in the past, and the touchpads have been fine. I have to turn off the "Tap to Click" feature because, otherwise, the trackpad is constantly picking up random taps.  I have tried adjusting all of the settings to make it less sensitive, but, the only thing that works is to turn off Tap to Click. Now, I would love to be able to use Tap to Click.  I have applied all updates that are available, but none have changed the issue.  Why is there no way to change the One Finger Click Action to be a single click instead of a double click to mitigate the problem?  Why has there been no fix for this issue in over a year (I have seen many other complaints about this worthless trackpad).

I have the 2016 XPS 13 (9350).
Occasionally single tapping on the trackpad no longer works. Instead it assumes a click and hold action - when you move the mouse it'll highlight things you go past or when you tap on a file it will drag on it. The only way to work around this is to physically click the trackpad everytime. Restarting fixes the problem but it still reoccurs every once and a while.
Also when I go to settings --> about --> it says XPS  8700. The laptop has intel i5-6200U CPU @ 2.3 GHz 2.4 GHz so it's the 9350 right?
I've also been getting around 6.5-7.5 on moderate usage - YouTube, facebook most often. Is this normal?
Any solutions?

I have an Asus laptop (model ux32a) with the trackpad using so-called “Smart gesture.” The controls for this trackpad don’t allow “tap to click.” I know that many people hate tap to click, but I hate not having it. (The controls also have no control over trackpad sensitivity. I can’t find anyplace else that I can modify the trackpad- not in the standard mouse controls under Windows, for example. ) The driver is 1.0.0.170, which is the only one Asus’s site shows for this model. So what I want to know is, first, am I possibly missing someplace where I can control this trackpad beyond the controls for “smart gesture”? If not, can I install some other generic driver that would allow me to have other controls over this trackpad? If so, where would I get those, and how would I install them and replace the driver (all dealings I’ve had with drivers have been handled automatically by the manufacturer of other devices; I see how to uninstall the driver in device manager but don’t know how I would install the new one). Thank you very much.

A:Trackpad driver does not support tap-to-click

On the Asus drivers website for your laptop I read you should install the 'ATKACPI driver and hotkey-related utilities' driver before installing the touchpad driver. Did you do that ?

I prefer the click approach on the Apple Macbook Air, where you can click anywhere on the trackpad to get a normal (left) click.  On the Yoga 13, you can click anywhere EXCEPT the lower-right side of the button, where it instead registers a right-click.  Thta's kind of annoying because I have to be aware of where on the trackpad I can click and where I can't. Does anyone know of a way to turn off the right-click area and just make the entire trackpad a left-click? I have already turned off the tap-click ability, so I'm just talking about clicks where you press the surface of the trackpad down.

I have a user that has a 2nd Generation X1 Carbon (the type with virtual buttons on the Synaptics TrackPoint/TrackPad.   The user is complaining that a context sensitivie menu (of the type that a right click would initiate) intermittently is shown when she left clicks.  She normaly uses the TrackPad but does use the TrackPoint on ocassion.  Here's what I've done so far: 1) I initially thought it was the TrackPad and had Lenovo Support replace it.  The problem was reduced but is still occurs. 2) I've installed current UltraNav drivers and updated all other drivers to current levels.  The WIndows 10 is also updated to current patches.  I would try setting the UltraNave to "Click Anywhere" but that disables the TrackPoint feature that is ocassionally used.  Has anyone seen this happen before and know a fix for this?

Having a bit of a nightmare with my laptop!

Suddenly the right click dialogue box keeps popping up as if I am doing it. Have deduced that it's not the mouse as
1. When trackpad is disabled and no mouse connected the problem still occurs
2. The dialogue box always appears in the top left hand corner of the desktop or window open, regardless of where the cursor is.

Me and my partner ran some of the windows 7 fix it things and also ran virus scans etc and after a lot of random fixes it stopped for about a week. However it's started up again and we have no clue what we did first time round to get it to stop or why it's started again so thought we should try and find out the root cause.

No luck with the good old google search as most solutions allude to a stuck trackpad button which it's not! It's intermittent in the fact it may stop for 2 minutes but then starts again in force making it pretty impossible to do anything on there. Any ideas would be greatly appreciated

Unless it's a hardware issue (ie the touchpad buttons are actually broken) re-installing the touchpad driver may fix the problem. For UK Easynote laptop models you can download that from here: Support Download

As there are several different Easynote models you will need to know the specific model number.

A:Mouse/Trackpad registering one click as hold/drag

Hello walllable. Welcome to the forum.

Yes it could be. That is a common symptom of a defective touchpad.

Two things can help determine this:
If you can attach a mouse or external touchpad and they work normally.
If you uninstall (remove) the touchpad from Device Manager and then restart and let it reinstall and then reinstall it's driver and the problem persists.

On my 2nd generation X1 Carbon I could click and drag by pressing down on the bottom portion of trackpad and then moving my finger around (as if there was a button down there). On my new 2nd gen X1 Yoga this doesn't work. I can only drag by pressing down and moving my finger while pressing, which is very clunky and annoying. Is there a reason why the new trackpad doesn't work like the old one? I put both models side by side and verified this.

Aside from the below trackpad issues, coil whine and fan that likes to spin up even when doing basic tasks, I quite like the new Spectre x360. Issue 1: When using the entire trackpad as a click, the cursor will sometimes move just before I actually click down, which is something I never experienced on my MacBook Air's trackpad. This results in either missing what I originally wanted to click, or clicking on something entirely different. Issue 2: Two-finger scrolling doesn't work in the bottom 20% of the trackpad. I can use two fingers in that area, but scrolling won't actually start until I get towards the middle of the trackpad. So, until I hit that area, it'll just be single-finger pointing. Given the trackpad's wider than it is tall, this can become a problem. I tried messing around with the dated-looking Synaptics settings program, but couldn't get anything to help. Maybe it'll get better with time on its own? Otherwise, hopefully software updates will fix it...

I am wondering: 1) Is there a software fix? -although all my drivers are up-to-date2) Must I get a replacement part? -although my laptop is out of warranty    3) If so, is 5CB0F78866 the correct part?    4) How do I order this part? Any information would be much appreciated. Thanks!
