I recommend downloading and running DAP. It can help sort out any driver and firmware related issues on your system

It's worked out well for many of us in the past.

You can download it direct from this link http://downloaddap.org. (This link will open the download page of DAP so you can save a copy to your computer.)

Hello every one, I'm having a problem. I want to install a better graphics card to my compaq presario 2223US notebook. It has intel extreme graphics 2 which isn't very good with new 3D games. I heard it was very hard to remove and may not be removable at all. Is it possible to remove it? all answers are thanked.

A:removing Intel extreme graphics 2

Well intel extreme graphics 2 is a chip built into the motherboard so you can't remove it but you can dissable it in bios allowing the instalation of a seperate video card.
However most notebooks don't have slots for video card upgrades so chances are you won't be able to upgrade your video card.

Hi all: I have a problem with my laptop (model VN7-571G). After a recent Windows 10 update, now I am not able to connect the laptop to my flat  LG TV via HDMI. I think it has to be related to Intel Graphics 5500 (current driver When I connect the laptop to my flat TV, laptop screen goes black (as it happened before), but TV message says "Without Conection". If I try to use Intel Driver Update Utility, it says I have to go to Acer website to get the drivers. I have already uninstalled all Intel drivers (VGA, chipset, etc.), and installed the ones in Acer website but the problem still exists. Any idea how to solve it?. Thanks and regards from Spain.Ignacio

Intel Core i3-2330M + Intel HD Graphics 3000 = Black Screen

first of all, my words of deep and sincere appreciation and thanks for this website. I use it, though only sporadically, for many, many years and always got very professional and useful help here!

Today I am inquiring about a problem that seems to be quite common and wide-spread, based on my own Internet searches: the bad combination of the Intel Core i3-2330M processor and the Intel HD Graphics 3000. During normal operations, my system works with that. But when using render software (POV-Ray) or attempting to play games, then I am getting that famous Black Screen. The laptop still continues to work, but I cannot see anything anymore. Only a restart helps, unfortunately. My online search did not reveal any solution, and having downloaded the "Intel Driver Update Utility", nothing new can be downloaded it seems.

I am speaking out here today about my problem with the hope, that someone here know a functioning solution. I need my system in order to create renders, that is my work. I just recently upgraded my system with that better processor, and it kills me now.

Edit: I fixed it! (I was causing the problem myself but uninstalling the chip in the first place when i should have been disabling it instead)

Ok... I looked for about an hour and decided i would have to make a new thread for my specific problem... so sorry if im making my first post in an odd place

I recently installed a NVIDIA GeForce 5500 FX PCI 256MB DDR video card
followed directions as best i could, and disabled the Intel integrated graphics... but my PC insists on REinstalling the intel integrated graphics controller upon restart... It left me alone for awhile and i could run Counter Strike : Condition Zero moderately well (low frames after playing for over an hour) but after allowing my computer to update itself (while using IE to dowload firefox for a reinstall, IE randomly decided my home page was going to be the microsoft site for the day) and since then no matter what i do the computer insists on trying to reinstall the intel integrated graphics thing...

so my question is, how do I make this stop? how do i keep the computer from giving me the dreaded "found new hardware" bubble when im using a FAR superior (REAL) video card already?

is there something i do in the BIOS (i hope not, i dont like messing around in there) or on the motherboard itself?

i have some basic info about my comp in my signature but im going to use "PolSystemInfo" to find all my PC specs and just copy paste them below, I just hope its enough info to help so... Read more

A:NVIDIA GeForce 5500 FX-vs-Intel Integrated Graphics... please make intel go away!

Hmm that didn't happen to me when I put mines in. Did you install the NVIDIA drivers? Try disabling the onboard in the device manager. That?s what I did. There doesn?t seem to be an option to turn it off in the bios (my bios) maybe there is for you however. It isn?t too complicated. Just simply look for onboard graphics or integrated graphics controller or w/e and select disable, but first try disabling it in the device manager. It should be listed under display adapters -> properties -> disable this device.

You should upgrade to DX9.0c...

Hi...I'm running Win7 Home Premium (64-bit), 8Gb RAM, with the chip:
Intel Core i7 2600K @ 3.40GHz
Sandy Bridge 32nm Technology

Graphics is not dedicated and is handled via this Intel chip.
During Windows Updates, MS ones download perfectly.

However, I also get an additional 'optional' update named: 'Intel Corporation - Display - Intel(R) HD Graphics'

This has never succeeded in downloading.
The MS explanation is always the same: possible interruption from my connection to their server...yet never any interruption when I download MS updates at exactly the same time!

After that, I get the usual 'download Mr Fix It' software which proves itself to be utterly useless in helping me find why the download is not succeeding.

I run Avast anti-virus and Zone Alarm firewall...but I can't figure out if they are somehow preventing the download.

I'd appreciate any help on this....

Many thanks

I have Dell E7470 and I'm considering a motherboard replacement. The board has i7 CPU with Dell Part # VNKRJ . I wanted to ask If the new board with i7 CPU 6050 and Intel Iris graphics 540 (Dell part # YDW8F) will fit on my laptop ?

In addition, If I purchased an i5 board (Dell part # 3GMP2) , will I be able to replace the CPU with the one that I currently have on the old motherboard and get an i7 board ? I'm asking because the i5 board is cheaper than the i7 board.

Thank you

A:Dell E7470 - is it possible to get the new Intel 6050 CPU with Intel Iris graphics ?

While the boards should interchange, bear in mind:
Whatever board you buy has a CPU soldered to it - the CPUs cannot be replaced separately from the mainboard;  they are not removeable.
If the system is in warranty, replacing the mainboard voids the warranty.

Is Intel HD Graphics Family better than Intel G41 express chipset?

The name is only Intel HD Graphics Family there isnt a number after it in dxdiag

A:Is Intel HD Graphics Family better than Intel G41 express chipset?

Intel G41 express is the very old, Core 2 equivalent on-motherboard-gpu aka Eaglelake. It only supports up to dx10, it has awful and old drivers, and incomplete opengl support (less apps can run on it). It can idle in recent games like Dota 2 with up to 30fps with everything on low. Key word: idle. Don't even think about playing under more than 15-20fps.

Intel HD Graphics Family is on-cpu-die-gpu aka Sandy Bridge, it's still old now, but does have support for dx11 and opengl, and it has a lot more raw power than x4500(g41), depending on the cpu. It even supports overclocking with sizeable improvements.

Really there is no contest between the two families.

My research to date indicates that the integrated graphics card on my new T480 cannot be disabled, and that the graphics load will always be shared between the integrated graphics card and the NVIDIA MX150 card (no matter the global settings on the NVIDIA and Intel control panels).  Is this correct??? If so, this was a truly stupid design choice on the part of the Lenovo design team.  Who wants to buy an expensive graphics card only to discover that integrated graphics capability can not be turned off. On a recent internet delivered video, the loads on the two GPU's appeared about the same - the integrated graphics process was "stealing" about 15% of the CPU, while the MX150 was essentially idling at 15%. Does this make ANY sense???

Hi there. My issue is related to my switchable graphics option. I have an Intel hd 3000 and an AMD radeon (I'm not sure of the exact model as I can't search for it as my machine is currently stuck in a system restore loop so I'm having ti use my phone right now). There is one game I use regularly which, for some reason or another, is incompatible with my Intel graphics chip so I had previously used the right click on my desktop menu where I would select switchable graphics, and then manually allocate that particular game to my AMD chip rather than my Intel one. When the game updated yesterday, it reverted back to my Intel chip for some reason and when I right clicked on my desktop, the option to change it had disappeared. However, when I did as the instructions told me to and uninstalled both of my graphics devices and their drivers, and then rebooted, followed by installing the file linked to in the answer and rebooting again, this resulted in my Intel 3000 disappearing entirely from my device manager list, and my AMD chip being stopped by windows as it has reported an error.I tried reinstalling the previous driver linked to the AMD chip, but that did nothing at all. hello everybody, my name is Brian, I own a dell xps 13 (9350) purchased in 2017, but its the 2016 model with intel iris 540 graphics, its also the model with the QHD+ touch-screen, 3200x1800 resolution.
not sure if it matters what else the system has spec-wise, but ill include that also.

My question is in regards to the colors, and what this screen is producing picture/video quality-wise when I'm viewing colorful photos, or watching videos with colors on youtube;

I've watched quite a handful of videos on youtube about the dell xps 13, and a lot of them suggest that this laptop comes "a touch off" in terms of color gamma and/or color accuracy - whatever that means, but they say the xps 13 out of the box, with no settings adjusted other than what dell and intel have done, that the color and screen needs to be calibrated.

how do I know what to do and how to check if I need it? I mean, everything seems to be good looking, but if its off and I just don't know it, I would like to know how to modify these "said" settings, as I want the most out of my xps 13!

I'm also experimenting with different power-plan settings, trying to configure this machine for the best possible battery-life, and also longevity in overall-life span. meaning I want to preserve this machine in ways possible, without reducing any of the added benefits of having such a high-performing laptop.

I bought this xps 13 from a friend, we actually traded. I gave him my ipad... Read more

I recently purchased an Acer Veriton (M498G) desktop which has an i5-650 processor, Windows 7 Pro (64 bit) and Intel HD Graphics listed as the video card. I also purchased a PNY nVIDIA Quadro FX 380 PCI-E card for improved picture editing and home video viewing and editing. I have already replaced the original 300 wattt power supply to a 430 watt Antec Truepower I had on hand and boosted the RAM to 8 gigs from the original 4.

Question 1) Am I getting any improvement in visual quality or system speed with the Quadro or is it a waste of money and I should just save up to buy a bigger video card? This card was on sale for $115.

Im guessing this is the right place. any way ever since i restarted my computer for windows updates. A message keeps coming up when i start my computer saying the error. It also comes up when i use certain programs. One thing i noticed was that ever since i restarted for the update three things aside from the error have happened. Since then My screen is always shakey/twitchy and it really gives me a headach, and a blue icon that says Intel Extream Graphics came up. However whenever i right or left click the icon i get the message then as well. aside from both of those, my screen would occasionally black out and come back up at random intervals. these annoyances are really starting to bug me and if anyone has any aid it would be greatly appreciated.

I just picked up an HP dx2000 desktop computer that has the "Intel Extreme Graphics 2" onboard video card. Im trying to play World of Warcraft on the machine and it is a bit jumpy due to what I assume is the graphics card. The system has 1Gb of RAM so I dont believe it has anything to do with the RAM.

My question is, will my system benifit from a PCI graphics card or is the bus too slow for PCI to show any type of improvement? The only reason I say PCI is because the system does not have an AGP slot.

Hey, I'm having difficulty removing the Intel CPU fan that came with my computer. It's way too loud so I ordered a Zalman fan compatible with my motherboard.

My motherboard is an ASRock socket 775, and my processor is Intel Pentium D (x2 CPUs). The Zalman fan came today, so I had a look at the Intel fan and tried to remove it. There are 4 fasteners on the fan that you have to rotate and then they pop up, which I have done, they are still fixed down, covering screws I guess?

How can I remove the fan and heatsink to allow me to install my new Zalman one?

This is the first and last time I will ever buy an Acer product. I picked up this Acer desktop at my local Walmart and had no idea just how small the CPU was. It has a notebook type Intel 1.6 CPU that will not even allow me to stream live videos. The worse part of all is that I cannot even upgrade it. It seems to be fused to the motherboard. Otherwise my brother in law could pop in a better CPU plus addition RAM sticks. It is terribly slow also, and sometimes freezes up. I am furious that I cant stream live video, but more upset about the non upgradable motherboard.

I've completed a new custom build, but have had problems with BSOD from the beginning with any installation of Intel Graphics drivers or the installation of any graphics card.

When I first completed the build, the XFX-7950 Black was installed. I booted to BIOS without issue, but when I inserted the Windows 7 (64 bit) it would boot through the windows logo screen but immediately BSOD right after going to the first install screen.

I removed the graphics card, and was able to complete the full Windows install without issue. I updated Windows and the drivers on the system but as soon as I installed the Intel 3000 Graphics driver, it would BSOD on every restart. I recovered back prior to the Graphics driver install and installed all other drivers. I updated the BIOS to the latest version.

I have reattempted the XFX 7950 multiple times in different slots, but with the same results. I also attempted my Radeon HD 4550 from my old computer but it gave the same results. It always boots through the Windows logo screen, but BSOD within a few seconds of reaching the password screen.

I broke down and installed Driver Whiz, which did detect multiple outdated drivers that I had not caught, but none of these fix the issues.

I've attached the requested zip. I don't think all BSOD's are showing up, as I've had to use recovery points after installed drivers didn't work. The last .dmp on 19 JUL was a Intel Graphics driver install attempt that I pulled off in safe mod... Read more

A:BSOD with install of Intel Graphics driver or install of graphics card

I recommend for future reference never to use driver discovery software like Driver Whiz. They have a propensity to install erroneous, buggy and/or outdated drivers. Finding drivers for your hardware should always be done manually.

Anyways, while I don't see any specific pattern for the crashes, I do see at least some of them are during disk I/O. That's when I immediately got suspicious of your Crucial SSD. If you have not already, the very first thing you should do when installing an SSD into a PC is to update your SSD's firmware, followed by your BIOS and any chipset/disk controller drivers. This is necessary as initial SSD firmware often has a habit of causing issues, which frequently is resolved when updating it.

If that all doesn't work, then it's time for some other hardware tests. Start with 7 passes of Memtest86+, followed by Torture Test on Blend for 9+ hours with Prime95. If those don't turn up anything, then replace either your motherboard (most likely culprit) or your SSD drive.

Hi there,

I've been running Ubuntu Karmic Koala until one day my AAO stopped recognizing my SSD (Z-P230 8GB) neither during the boot nor, if I boot from Ubuntu live on my USB, in G-Parted. When I tried reinstalling ubuntu, the installation process would go up to the point when partitions are being created and then it would report an error (not being able to see any hard disks). I ran some commands in terminal and it seems that AAO just does not see the SSD. In fact, it would not see any hard disks; for instance, i connected my old i-pod's disk and I can hear and see it spinning but still not being recognized.

I then tried connecting another Intel Z-P230 8GB SSD that I bought on the e-bay. Same result -- not recognized. I replaced the cable. Nothing. At this point, I tend to think it's a controller problem but I am not a very sophisticated hardware-er so I am not sure if there is anything I can do at this point.

I am wondering if anyone could advice something? Any help is sincerely appreciated!

I just bought a Acer aspire intel celeron m 520 laptop brand new from future shop yesterday and brought it home and not more then 2 hours after using it a blue screen came up with a error and dissapeared before i could read it all and now when i start it it starts but the screen stays off... Were they recalled or somthing? because i can even find them on acer.com and im not to happy about this i have the 14 day refund or exchange warranty that i will use but id like to know if i should just get my momey back and look into a better laptop or try that laptop again because it seems to run great but i cant use it any help would be nice thanks

A:Acer aspire intel celeron m 520 recall?

It runs great but doesn't boot? You shouldn't have to "fix" a computer you've had for 2 hours unless you downloaded something or physically damaged it. I've yet to see computers recalled (batteries, yes), so, no, that's not the problem. Take it back and get a replacement.

I have an Acer Intel Core i7 laptop and i can't seem to get my webcam working. I have windows 8 and when I click on the camera icon it tells me to connect a camera. It was working the other day so I don't know what happened and why it stopped working.

A:Webcam for Acer Intel Core i7 not working

Is the camera listed in Device Manager? If it's not listed, that would indicate it is no longer recognized by Windows, which typically indicates a hardware fault (ie: bad camera).

For the installation of windows 8, I need to remove the Intel USB 3.0 driver. However, after removing this driver and the necessary restart, I get a blue screen of death and have to reinstate my pc to an older state.
Any clues why this is?

I just got a new intel Ultrabook off a tiny foreign co on Amazon; and I'm just using it for browsing the internet mostly, but the browsers keep crashing particularly when downloading (small) files like pictures.

I'm worried that the processor may have been tampered with or it's been infected/in a botnet. Can I do anything to check these things?

Also- if not any recommendations on cheap repair shops in London etc?

A:New Acer Intel 5 laptop operating REALLY slowly; no warranty!?

First, see if the slowness and crashing applications are due to a startup or service conflict: Troubleshoot Application Conflicts by Performing a Clean Startup

Keep only your antivirus software set to run on startup. Make sure the antivirus services and the startup software itself are selected to start on boot.

If you can access bios with F2, check thee boot tab that the HDD is the first to boot. It sounds like network is trying to boot first.Or try F-12 and pick HDD.If you still have the Recovery, hold down ALT and F-10 and see if Recovery will start.

Hi All, Is anybody having trouble of Windows 10 lately, This is what happens to me yesterday. About a week ago this patch came in KB3140743 along comes with latest intel drivers update as usual windows 10 "mandatorily" overwrite and provides a new driver over the "existing stable one - the one provided in acer support". Didnt notice anything much, because all these are happening in the background until the BSOD stating Unhandle thread error happened to me and after rebooting- hell broke lose. Resulting the return of Black Screen after boot screen. This had happened before, during the days of 1511 first started, and we resolve it using Safe Mode and force an older driver to windows. However, for some reason, after installing KB3140743, everytime i revert back to older drivers it still give me the Black screen on boot. Im pretty certain is the intel display driver because i tried disabling the nvidia card as well. Right now im can boot up using intel display as "microsoft default display driver" - which is lame but at least i get to see use the computer. I tried uninstalling KB3140743..bad idea, it resulted in the system keep on spinning infinitely. Im running out of ideas to resolve this now andI really dont want to force reset everything. Just hopping i can find any solution here.

A:Acer Aspire R572G - KB3140743 Breaks my Intel Gfx ...

Aspire R572G isn't a good model so, I'm guessing it's a R7-572g.Maybe another update is tagging with KB3140743. I would uninstall all the updates that were installed with KB3140743 and see if it would boot. Uninstalling an update should return the computer to the way it was before the update was installed. Running. If you pull off the two rubber bumpers on the bottom, take out all the screws, the cover will come right off. Unplug and remove the battery and remove the HDD. Connect it to another computer with USB and get your files out.If it's a R7-572G.
