I recommend downloading and running Reimage. It's a computer repair tool that has been proven to identify and fix many Windows problems with a high level of success.

I've used it in the past to identify and fix everything from blue screens (BSOD's), ActiveX errors, corrupt files and processes, dll/exe/sys errors, recover lost memory, Windows update problems, defragging, malware removal etc.

You can download it direct from this link http://downloadreimage.com/download.php. (This link will automatically start a download of Reimage that you can save to your computer.)

1) Base System DevicePCI\VEN_197B&DEV_2393&SUBSYS_167C103C&REV_30PCI\VEN_197B&DEV_2393&SUBSYS_167C103CPCI\VEN_197B&DEV_2393&CC_088000PCI\VEN_197B&DEV_2393&CC_0880 2) Base System DevicePCI\VEN_197B&DEV_2392&&SUBSYS_167C103C&REV_30PCI\VEN_197B&DEV_2392&&SUBSYS_167C103CPCI\VEN_197B&DEV_2392&CC_088000PCI\VEN_197B&DEV_2392&CC_0880 3) Unknown DevicePCI\VEN_8086&DEV_1C3A&SUBSYS_167C103C&REV_04PCI\VEN_8086&DEV_1C3A&SUBSYS_167C103CPCI\VEN_8086&DEV_1C3A&CC_078000PCI\VEN_8086&DEV_1C3A&CC_0780 4) Unknown DeviceUSB\VID\_03F0&PID_311D&REV_0001USB\VID\_03F0&PID_311D 5) Unknown DeviceACPI\VEN_HPQ&DEV_0004ACPI\HPQ0004*HPQ0004 Por hora... Hi, Need a little help, I installed Windows 7 and 8 on my notebook HP Probook 4530s Intel Core i3. And in both cases the Wi-fi doesn't work (although I can turn off and on the LED on / off function), but it cannot identify any network. And the sound doesn't work, although I have installed the sound driver, but the following message appears when I put cursor over the icon over systray "the audio service is not running", but when I go to OS services it is started . Maybe it's something with the chipset, but I've installed so much drivers and I don't know what else to do. And then, the Hardware Ids that appear in Device Manager. 1) Base System DevicePCI \ VEN_197B & DEV_2393 & REV_30 & SUBSYS_167C103CPCI \ VEN_197B & DEV_2393 & SUBSYS_167C103CPCI \ VEN_197B & DEV_2393 & CC_088000PCI \ VEN_197B & DEV_2393 & CC_0880 2) Base System DevicePCI \ && SUBSYS_167C103C VEN_197B & DEV_2392 & REV_30PCI \ VEN_197B & DEV_2392 && SUBSYS_167C103CPCI \ VEN_197B & DEV_2392 & CC_088000PCI \ VEN_197B & DEV_2392 & CC_0880 3) Unknown DevicePCI \ VEN_8086 & DEV_1C3A & SUBSYS_167C103C & REV_04PCI \ VEN_8086 & DEV_1C3A & SUBSYS_167C103CPCI \ VEN_8086 & DEV_1C3A & CC_078000PCI \ VEN_8086 & CC_0780 & DEV_1C3A 4) Unknown DeviceUSB \ VID \ _03F0 & PID_311D & REV_0001USB \ VID \ _03F0 & PID_311D 5) Unknown DeviceACPI \ VEN_HPQ & ... I upgraded my T430 (2342-CTO) from Windows 7 x64 to Windows 8 x64.  By "upgrade", however, I mean I clean installed. I grabbed all the drivers from Lenovo's download page, but one device is unknown.  It appears in Device Manager as "Base System Device". Its hardware ID is: PCI\VEN_1180&DEV_E822&SUBSYS_21F317AA After some careful Googling, I found this is the SD card reader.  So, I downloaded g1s808ww.exe, installed it, rebooted, and it still was showing up as an unknown "Base System Device". I opened the INF file from the driver (C:\DRIVERS\WIN\multicard\Driver\risdxc.inf), and noticed that my device was not in this file. The file contains: [Ricoh]%R5U822Desc%=R5U822_Inst,PCI\VEN_1180&DEV_E823[Ricoh.ntamd64]%R5U822Desc%=R5U822_Inst.ntamd64,PCI\VEN_1180&DEV_E823 But, my device is E822, not E823. Did Lenovo post the wrong driver?  Where can I get the correct one?  Google just gives shady "driver download" sites that I do not trust.

I've been searching the web but I'm getting conflicting answers as to what to do.

Hello, I recently replaced my hard drive, and had my windows version updated from Windows 7 Home premium to windows 7 ultimate. I went to the sony website to try and hunt down the driver. But it lists a bunch of drivers. I know its not my video card because I already managed to reinstall that. On the device manager it is just this last unknown device. I hope that this information helps

Any help would be appreciated. I would really like to know what this device is.

Also, I went to get Sony's 15 minute support but they said that this was complicated because it would require a manual extraction of the files. Is this true because I updated the OS?

I have a Toshiba laptop that was experiencing numerous problems so I decided to format and reinstall everything. Except this time instead of using the restore CDs I put Windows7 in without all the bundled software that came with the original "out of the box" state. WOW! It runs so much faster and smoother now...feels twice as fast when I first got it! Except oddly there are two devices labeled as "Base System Device" that won't install drivers. I don't notice anything wrong with the the laptop but I'm still curious.. is there any way to figure out what these devices are?

Here's what I can pull that might help.
Class Icon: setupapi.dll -18
Safe removal required: False
Enumerator: PCI
Physical Device Object Name: Device\NTPNP_PCI0023
Local Information: PCI bus 4, device 0, function 1

The other device is similar except the object name is PCI0024 instead of PCI0023, and function 2 rather than function 1.
PS: I did search the forums and find driver details for a Sony, but I'm not about to put Sony drivers in my Toshiba.

A:Base system device Driver Missing

If you go to Windows Device Manager, there should probably be some "other device" with a yellow exclamation mark on it that represents the hardware device which currently is missing its appropriate driver.

Right-click on that device, select Properties, select Details tab, dropdown the Property list item and select the second item (Hardware ID).

Then copy/paste the values shown in that Hardware ID here, so that we can see what this unsupported device actually is as far as Windows is looking for.

I am missing three drivers in my device manager. They are listed under other drivers and when I look at the properties there is no information given as to what its for. The first two say base system device and the third one says coprocessor. None of them can be updated from the manager because it cannot find the drivers online. I believe the first two have to do with nvidea but everytime I try to download the driver it does not work. I have no idea if I am even on the right path. This is the last issue I am having from my windows 7 upgrade and would really appreciate any assistance.

A:Missing Base System Device and Coprocessor for HP Pavillion

Hello again. The base system device drivers refer to Ricoh card reader drivers, the coprocessor drivers are part of the chipset drivers.

Go to the HP support page, let it detect your model, it'll then show a page containing links to the drivers for your model. Download and install the ones I mentioned above. While you are at it, download the other drivers as well to take care of future problems.

Dell Vostro 1400, Core2Duo. Installed Windows 7 64 bit a year and a half ago. For those not familiar, the Vostro is not entirely compatible with 64 bit, so the drivers are a little hit and miss.

Computer runs slow sometimes, has since the install. I don't think I've ever seen the yellow triangles before, but I may have never looked at the device manager ... the computer is a secondary machine in the house.

My question is, do these indicate a performance problem or can I ignore them and assume the computer is working as best it can?

A:Base system device, core processors yellow triangle in device manager

please check out this webpage. it may help you to get started: Device Manager - yellow exclamation point

The yellow icons showing an exclamation point can indicate missing or improper drivers. The system does not seem to recognizing your hardware. Hope this gets you started.

Hi All,

This morning my HP DV 9000 laptop screen comes up grey with no discerning images. I have an additional monitor attached (for TV) and booted into safe mode with networking and can see the desktop in VGA on separate monitor only.

Looking in Device MGR I have two 'base system devices that need attention. They are not identified as to what they are only PCI Bus 7 device 5 function 3 & PCI bus 7 device 5 function 2. I have no idea where to start with this? Anybody?

Win 7 Prem Home 32 bit SP1
Intel 5500 @ 1.66ghz
2GB ram
NVIDIA geoforce 7600

Last night - everything ran fine. Read newspaper online & watch TV on separate monitor. Everything closed down without issue.

A:No Display & base system device drivers missing on my HP DV9000 laptop

Some laptops have the option of outputting the display signal to LCD, VGA or Both.
I'm not sure that you have those options, but it's worth checking out in the BIOS.
There's also the possibility that your LCD backlight may have gone out and needs to be replaced.

Recently I attempted to connect to an existing paired connection to my phone via bluetooth. I have never had this problem before, yet suddenly Bluetooth is missing. There is no longer an icon in the taskbar, the setting in "PC and Devices" is missing, and there appears to not be a driver installed, rather, an ""Unknown USB Device (Device Descriptor Request Failed)" appears in my devices instead. I have taken many steps to attempt and fix this, such as:
manually starting Bluetooth services from services.mscuninstalling the "Unknown Device" driver, then attempting to let Windows reinstalldownloaded the driver software from Lenovo for the Bluetooth adapter, installed it manually restartedtake a system restore created yesterday and revert back to it

Everything else in the PC functions perfectly. Any help is appreciated

A:Bluetooth Device Missing, Unknown USB Device

I had a similar problem recently where my bluetooth seemed to have just disappeared.
I ran the Find and Fix problems with devices (Just typed it into the start screen). It found one thing which by memory said something about a usb device being disabled. Clicked for it to fix the problem and enable it. Sure enough my bluetooth was right back.
Not sure if it will work for you, but its worth a try.
Good Luck
