Q: google crome problem

Google crome has outa no were, been freezing on random site and always those site no matter what. It also begons anothergoogle crome tab saying that my profile counldnt be acessed. I was in WTM in processes aqnd i found 4 crome.exe image names. taking up 10-14k I serched my computer and it found the 4 processes. All in the prefetch stating that they had been modfied 4 time today. but why would there be for of em. 3 of em modifeid a minute after the other.

Preferred Solution: google crome problem

I recommend downloading and running Reimage. It's a computer repair tool that has been proven to identify and fix many Windows problems with a high level of success.

I've used it in the past to identify and fix everything from blue screens (BSOD's), ActiveX errors, corrupt files and processes, dll/exe/sys errors, recover lost memory, Windows update problems, defragging, malware removal etc.

You can download it direct from this link http://downloadreimage.com/download.php. (This link will automatically start a download of Reimage that you can save to your computer.)

* Windows XP: %USERPROFILE%\Local Settings
* Windows Vista: %USERPROFILE%\AppData\Local

6. Click the Security tab.

I have a 2 year old Dell Inspiron One 2305, Touch Screen Desk top Computer. I have been using Google Chrome, Now I can no longer gain access 2 any actions, using the G.C. browser. It pull up a light blue or pale purple folder, with the address bar, site included, yet has no further actions. If i use a I.E. browser, it functions well. This started about 10 days ago. Any ideas or help, would be appreciated.

A:Google Crome won't open files

Chrome is not a file browser - which is what you appear to be using it for.
You should use Windows Explorer ('Computer' NOT Internet Explorer) for browsing files on your own computer.

I'm running a laptop with Win 8 & Google Crome and like the software to save my passwords which it is doing except for Gmail. It will not save them. Matter of fact the option box does not even pop up for me to try and save them. It will work for all other sites so is there a setting somewhere that I need to change to allow ALL passwords to be saved. If there is I can't find it and it's driving me nuts because I have to check my accounts numerous times each day. " Offer to save passwords I enter on the web " is selected in the Crome settings.

A:Opens 6 windows when click on internet (google crome)

Do you mean tabs or windows?
If tabs...
Close all but the tab with the URL you want to open as your start window.
In the upper right, (below the [x] to close Chrome),
you will see an icon that is three horizontal bars.
Click this. (Left click!)
Go down to "settings" (near the bottom of the list), Left Click.
It will open a new tab.
In the second section (On Startup) you will see three options.
The third is "Open a specific page or set of pages".
Left click the link to "set pages"
Left click the button that says "use current pages"
and your current "list" will clear and become only the tab you have open.

I have a computer that has 2 GB of RAM at 1066 MHz which is 1 yr. old, when I use google chrome, firefox and CS5 at the same time it only uses 61-65% memory, its weird that you only have one page open on chrome and it uses 200 MB memory, Are your browsers up to date? If not update it. I think it has something to do with your RAM, probably you have a memory leak from what I know. What are the extension and add-ons in your chrome that is using that much RAM? I have 32-bit W7 when its idle it uses 20% memory.

Google Crome Version 49.0.2623.110 m
Windows 7 64-bit Professional SP1

I am getting this error for any website I open in Crome:

This site can?t be reached
google.com took too long to respond.

- this has started happening recently ( was working fine before)
- do not have any problem in using other browsers like Firefox or IE.
- tried to reinstall Google Crome but error persists
- tried clearing browse data
- tried flushing dns
- tried turning off both computer Firewall and Antivirus security temp

So I am running out of ideas here as why only Crome is behaving like this and Firefox/IE are ok?

Appreciate some help here to fix the issue.
I am happy to prove any traces etc if you need (please let me know the exact steps)

A:Crome throws ERR_CONNECTION_TIMED_OUT but all other browsers are ok.

Which firewall or other security programs are you using? Check your computer's proxy settings; Chrome uses those.

I have been having a massive headache for the past few weeks, something very small is having a big impact!
As part of my work I need to subscribed to and receive notifications through my browser Crome. Recently the notification stopped coming through. When I have gone to subscribe to the notification via the website, the page just freezes, then disappears having not subscribed me. During this "freeze" their is some information which I can access, I have taken some screen shots so you can see.

It appears it is saying that the content is not secure, is blocking mixed content? Is there a way I can change my settings to allow these notifications? These notifications are soooooooooooooo important to me!

I am using Crome and the dreaded windows 10.

First pleas update you network driver:

when the tool runs if the uninstall button is grayed out then your done and you can close the window, if not then please cluck it and let the tool run. DO NOT click the install button it will install a driver that is known to cause BSODs.

Hello Goby I would like to welcome you to the Malware Removal section of the forum.Around here they call me Gringo and I will be glad to help you with your malware problems.Very Important --> Please read this post completely, I have spent my time to put together somethings for you to keep in mind while I am helping you to make things go easier, faster and smoother for both of us!Please do not run any tools unless instructed to do so.We ask you to run different tools in a specific order to ensure the malware is completely removed from your machine, and running any additional tools may detect false positives, interfere with our tools, or cause unforeseen damage or system instability. Please do not attach logs or use code boxes, just copy and paste the text.Due to the high volume of logs we receive it helps to receive everything in the same format, and code boxes make the logs very difficult to read. Spouse showed me her Dell running Win 8.1, said that Chrome was closing itself.
Tried to find security program for scan, learned that it is Windows Defender (I use Win 7 on mine, running MSE).

But in the task list, I found a process called "crome.exe" running at 76% CPU!!!!! (yes, the spelling on that process is correct)

Had to use End Task twice to shut it down.

This all looks fishy to me, which is why I post here. Google search for "crome process" gets no meaningful results

Started running Defender full scan now & not complete.

Told spouse to use IE rather than Chrome for now, and it is shutting itself down just the same.

Appreciate information about what it going on.

YouTube? Picture in Picture (Beta)

Users of this extension have also used
Watch YouTube? videos in the corner while browsing the site, just like in the mobile apps.
* Videos will continue to play in a picture-in-picture window when you navigate away from the page
* Re-open video page at any time without interruption
* Start videos in a picture-in-picture window with the right click menu

This extension is a proof-of-concept and is still in beta, with a few known bugs. Playlists don't work correctly, and sometimes videos don't load right. If something goes wrong, opening a new video usually fixes things. If not, try opening a new tab.

The Google Earth Plug- In for Mozilla Firefox will not display images in 3D when I try to use it in Google Maps. It will only display them as flat images. Below are a few screen caps showing what I mean.

I would like to know why this is happening and how and whether I can fix this problem. I would appreciate any help anybody can offer.

The images are very distorted, as you can see from the images that I have posted.

I have tried uninstalling the Google Earth Plugin then reinstalling it. This didn't solve the problem.

I also tried using the Google Earth Plug in in the Google Chrome browser. The resulting images were the same as the ones that I posted yesterday in this thread.

If anyone needs more technical info about my problem. Please tell me what information you need and I'll try to provide it.

I also upgraded to the latest version of the Mozilla Firefox browser yesterday.
This didn't solve my problem either.

Thank you !

Not all map locations have 3D buildings. Try somewhere that definitely does, like New York, London or Paris, and follow the instructions below. If that works, go back to the location in your screenshots to see if the problem is fixed.

Viewing 3D Buildings

Google Earth can display both simple and photo-realistic 3D buildings in many areas. To view these:

1. Turn on the 3D buildings by checking the 3D Buildings folder in the Layers panel.

2. Position the viewer within a reasonable viewing altitude over a major city such as San Francisco. Some 3D buildings start to appear from an eye-elevation of 10,000 to 12,000 feet. Check the eye-elevation meter on the lower right of the 3D viewer to determine your current viewing height. The 3D buildings appear as light gray objects over the imagery of the city.

Have you tried using the non-browser Google Earth program?

i'm having increasing problems with my computer and am now sure i have some form of malware or viruses. i've had a constant popup where MSWord tries to install itself repeatedly, and i have to manually cancel multiple times when i start the computer. i was worried this was a virus, but when i searched about it i found this was related to windows installer. if i disable windows installer, it goes away.

however, for the past week i've started getting repeated popups saying that google update has encountered a problem and needs to close. i read on some forums that this was related to a google chrome installation. i don't remember if i've even installed google chrome-- but i can't find it on my computer to uninstall it. in the past few days i've started to be redirected to various ad sites when i search for things on google in firefox. i have avira antivirus, windows defender, have used windows malicious software removal tool, lavasoft adaware, and windows defender. all were coming up with no malicious software when scanned, but the problem persists. windows malicious software removal tool just finished a full scan and removed one infection, for an ad program it said would cause random popups, which i haven't had a problem with. i have tried repeatedly to install MBAM and hijack this, along with other tools. even after renaming, i had a lot of problems. MBAM would not open at first, then would partially install, then finally said it completed its installation, started to update... Read more

I believe I have a virus these are the symptoms i am experiencing and what I have tried so far:-

1. I am having problems using google, sometimes when I click on results they go to another page, sometimes it decided i am not connected to the internet when I know I am.

2. I started by trying to run Malwarebytes but this would not open, then the same problem occurred with Spybot, it wont open.

3. I tried to scan with Trend Micro but the virus has prevented Java from working and so Trend does not work.

4. Tried to do a system restore but that says the drive failed during the restore.

5. AVG does not find any viruses when scanned.

6. Computer will not hibernate, it goes to blackscreen and then back to the desktop.

7. I managed to get Malwarebytes working by renaming the file from mbam.exe to mbam1.exe but now it freezes is not responding about halfway through the scan, have also told it not to scan registry items but it still freezes. Also after it has frozen it will not close even by trying to end the process.

So they are my problems can anyone help? Thanks

A:Virus, google problem, Malwarebyte problem, Spybot problem, etc

Try this scan. You can copy it over from another computer on a CD or pen drive if you need to.Before we start fixing anything you should print out these instructions or copy them to a NotePad file so they will be accessible. Some steps will require you to disconnect from the Internet or use Safe Mode and you will not have access to this page. Please download DrWeb-CureIt and save it to your desktop. DO NOT perform a scan yet.Reboot your computer in "Safe Mode" using the F8 method. To do this, restart your computer and after hearing your computer beep once during startup (but before the Windows icon appears) press the F8 key repeatedly. A menu will appear with several options. Use the arrow keys to navigate and select the option to run Windows in "Safe Mode".Scan with Dr.Web CureIt as follows:Double-click on drweb-cureit.exe to open the program and click Start. (There is no need to update if you just downloaded the most current versionRead the Virus check by DrWeb scanner prompt and click Ok where asked to Start scan now? Allow the setup.exe to load if asked by any of your security programs. The Express scan will automatically begin.
(This is a short scan of files currently running in memory, boot sectors, and targeted folders). If prompted to dowload the Full version Free Trial, ignore and click the X to close the window. If an infected object is found, you will be prompted to move anything that cannot be cured. Ok il try to make this as brief as possilbe.

Sister clicked a stupid website link today on my laptop. Started doing weird things.

Now when i boot it up a popup appears saying google installer has encountered a problem. You know when it asks wheither to send error report or not. Now for the weird parts

It wont let me run any anti-virus removal software. I can run IE/Firefox ok. Even when i go into their folder and change the .exe filename to something like fluffy it opens them for like 5 secs and when i run the scan it closes str8 away.

Again when i search for anything on google about the problem i get a message saying my connection has been reset. Obv the virus/trojan is doing this.

Now i try to reboot in safe mode and it wont let me do it either. Im going insane here.

I cant even do a PC recovery because it says the recovery partition cannot be found.

Any ideas are most welcome

Google street view is no longer showing the number/numeric in the box in Google street view when you go up and down the street.
example 1555 north main street

I have no idea where on West Pico Boulevard in LA this is. Other than getting cross street.

In the past it would show number like 1140 West Pico Boulevard or 1160 West Pico Boulevard in LA has you move up and down the street.

Not sure if this is problem with my computer or if other people here are having this problem. It was working okay two or three months ago and now it not showing the number/numeric in the box.

Is this a Google glitch or did it get moved some where else to display that info? Or is tis some problem at my end?

For the last few weeks I have not been able to access classic google on firefox. Setting my homepage to http://www.google.com results in a "404 Not Found" page with "nginx" at the bottom. When I attempted to google the issue (using Google SSL) through firefox, certain links would redirect me to the Google SSL homepage. When using internet explorer 64 bit, I can access google, but I am often redirected to Google in a random language. I have uninstalled firefox and all addons multiple times but it has had no effect. I've downloaded Antimalware bytes, avast, and AVG which resulted in the removal of some viruses, but I can only assume not all. I've been following this guide thusfar http://www.bleepingcomputer.com/forums/topic34773.html . When I installed gmer, I wasn't able to deselect certain options, as most were grayed out, but I still scanned my computer and uploaded the log. 'g.png' that I've uploaded shows what I mean. When I try something like "I feel lucky" and dialog box comes up with " Our systems has detected unusual traffic from your computer network. this page checks to see if its really you sending the request, and not a reboot." Also " This page appears when google automatically detects request from your computer network which appears to be in violation of the (Term of service) the block will expire shortly after those request stop." This sounds to me like someone is using my network. How can one figure out if someone has hacked my network on a virus in my computer? Appreciate any help repairing this problem.
