Can't install driver software for Logitech G510

Q: Can't install driver software for Logitech G510

I have tried to get the driver software for my Logitech G510 to work but I can't seem to get it to install using compatibility mode, anyone else have any suggestions?

Preferred Solution: Can't install driver software for Logitech G510

I recommend downloading and running DAP. It can help sort out any driver and firmware related issues on your system

It's worked out well for many of us in the past.

You can download it direct from this link http://downloaddap.org. (This link will open the download page of DAP so you can save a copy to your computer.)

Hi!I have a problem with driver installation on my G510 notebook with Windows 7. I've installed all drivers, and only two had left: "Unknown Device" and "PCI Simple Communications Device". After installing the Intel Power Management Engine, the "Unknown Device" had disappear (installed successfull), but second one is still not installed. VendorID (8086) and DeviceID (8C3A) suggests, that this is Intel Power Management, but this driver is allready installed. I tried to install different versions of this driver (even for Win8), but nothing changed. Google says nothing on my problem.  What else can I do? What am I missing? Regards.

A:G510 and Windows 7 - can't install driver

Downloaded the file directly from Intel. Works fine now. Too bad, that Lenovo can't provide proper drivers (Win7 x64) for their notebook. I've noticed several driver problems:- Intel Graphic Card driver, can't recognize the device (had to download directly from Intel),- AMD Graphic Card driver installs ok, but system shows error in Device Manager (had to download directly from AMD),- WLAN driver setup finishes ok, but the driver is still not installed (had to download driver for diffrent notebook model),- Power Management driver can't install all used devices (had to download directly from Intel). Regards.

After installing this keypboard, I found that it not only lists the device in "devices and printers" area, now I have two keyboards listed and two mice. First is the keyboard itself as "G510 gaming keyboard" and then "HID keyboard device". The same thing for my mouse which is not from logitech but from Razor. My mouse is listed as "Razor DeathAdder" and then "HID-compliant mouse". These listings where not there before the install of this keyboard.

Hey guys I've had my g510 for a while and all this time the folowing ssues have been occuring and I can find any solutions on the internet.
Ok problem one:I can't use the keyboard to get into the bios/edit things within the bios as it doesn't work untill the OS is booted
Problem 2: I have to keep a mic/microphone jack pluged into the keyboard at all times or it will not alow me to use any of the keys or the lcd display and this can only be resolved if I unplug and replug it in the usb port and put the mic/headphone jack in (this is an issue because I use an usb headset now)
Any help would be great -Silver

A:Logitech G510 issue

Some motherboard manufacturers have bios fules that don't recognize some ganing keyboards. I have a g510 and that happened to me with one motherboard I had. The next bios upgrade fixed it. The Logitech drivers don't loag until Windows loads, but the keyboard should function as a regular keyboard without them.

As for the second problem, I have no clue. I have never had that happen. I rarely use a headset. Have you called logitech support about it? They may be of more help. They were very good with me when I had issues with my G500 mouse.

Hello bassfisher,

Here is the link to the software downloads - Gaming Keyboard G510

Which version are you trying to use, the legacy (Version 3.06) or the gaming software (Version 7.0)?

If its connected, try using the legacy drivers/software as the gaming one has some things missing.

Thats if any of this is of any help.

I recently purchased a Microsoft wireless keyboard to replace my old Logitech wired keyboard. When trying to install the MS software, it wants to un-install the Logitech iTouch software first, but the un-install fails with the error message "An error occurred while launching the setup. (0x80040702)". And, of course, the MS software will not install. I tried un-installing it manually through the control panel. That fails with the same error.

I redownloaded the Logitech iTouch software to insure that I had the most recent version. The un-install still fails. I then downloaded the latest MS Windows installer software, still no luck. I have run Spybot, Adaware, scanned with AVG, ran the MS System File Checker, and run Hijackthis. Everything returns clean results, but I still can't uninstall the Logitech iTouch software.

Any ideas, or suggestions? Anyone?

Hey Guys,

I have a logitch G510 gaming keyboard, 18 G-Keys. I want to know where i can find a Call of Duty Modern Warfare 2 and 3 profile for them to use them in the game. I have done a google search and turned up nothing. If you cant download them off the net can someone tell me how to make one, I went threw the profiles that are there based on the games on my system and neither of my Call of Duty Games showed up in the profile menu.

A:Logitech G510 Gaming Keyboard G-Key profiles

It should be on the menu. It should scan your computer and pick them up. If you are talking about MW3, I use a very basic one. I can do most everything else with my mouse. If this helps, it is basically the same for all FPS games, with a couple of tweeks, for me.

My Logitech G510 performance monitor applet as well as HWMonitor are showing around 25% CPU usage on idle, but the task manager and resource monitor are both showing about 3% usage. Even the CPU temps in HWMonitor reflect the low CPU usage. Is there a way to fix this? It's happening on a new Windows 10 install on my recently-built Micro ATX machine. This was not much of an issue on my bigger i7 build.

I have been using my G510 gaming keyboard as a sound card for a while before this incident. Even though I had already bought a USB sound card before the keyboard, I like the handiness of the mute buttons and such on the keyboard. So, because my 3.5mm cables from my headset are plugged in the keyboard and the keyboard is plugged into my desktop via USB, it shows up as separate microphone and speaker devices when you right click on the audio icon in Windows 7 at the right of the taskbar. The names of these devices used to look like, using the microphone as an example: "Microphone," then in grey below it, "G510 Gaming Keyboard."

Recently, I brought my desktop out somewhere to use as a demo for some software and I brought a small wireless keyboard I used to use with it. All went well, and after setting up the computer again at home, I went to the audio devices to make sure the defaults were selected. Before this, I noticed the computer reinstalling all the drivers for my mouse and keyboard. I thought this was a little odd but nothing else. However, the name of the microphone was now:"Microphone," then in grey below it, "2- G510 Gaming Keyboard" I could tell the device had been created again and that Windows was not using the original device profile. This was annoying and I also noticed some other problems such as my custom LCD screen applets on the keyboard not showing up in the list unless I started them manually (ex: Fraps) a... Read more

I am running Windows XP SP-3/system 32 & IE Vers 8 with Bitdefender Antivirus 2010 and Uniblue Registry Health software. Have tried installing the software from the disk & from Logitech's site for a Logitech Quickcam Pro 9000 on two different Dell computers but keep getting "Error 1406. Could not write value ImagePath to key\SYSTEM\CurrentControlSet\Services\LVPrMon. Verify that you have sufficient access to that key or contact your support personnel." I am the Administrator for both computers and there is plenty of available disk space. I don't know if Uniblue Registry Health may be the problem (may have changed or deleted something during a scan). I have tried installing the software with Bitdefender turned On and OFF. I cannot find this topic anywhere on Bleepingcomputers. Can anyone assist with this problem?

A:Error 1406 When Trying to Install Logitech Webcam Software

I suggest:1. Uninstalling the Uniblue product.Bleeping Computer DOES NOT recommend the use of registry cleaners/optimizers for several reasons:? Registry cleaners are extremely powerful applications that can damage the registry by using aggressive cleaning routines and cause your computer to become unbootable. The Windows registry is a central repository (database) for storing configuration data, user settings and machine-dependent settings, and options for the operating system. The registry is a crucial component because it is where Windows "remembers" all this information, how it works together, how Windows boots the system and what files it uses when it does. The registry is also a vulnerable subsystem, in that relatively small changes done incorrectly can render the system inoperable.? Not all registry cleaners are created equal. There are a number of them available but they do not all work entirely the same way. Each vendor uses different criteria as to what constitutes a "bad entry".? Not all registry cleaners create a backup of the registry before making changes. If the changes prevent the system from booting up, then there is no backup available to restore it in order to regain functionality. A backup of the registry is essential BEFORE making any changes to the registry.? The usefulness of cleaning the registry is highly overrated and can be dangerous. In most cases, using a cleaner to remove obsolete, invalid, and erroneous entries does not affect system performance... Read more

Hi. On my home built system, when booting up, if I don't have this generic Dell usb keyboard hooked up, I can not choose from multiple drives I have installed with the Logitech G510 keyboard( which I use to choose, I just have to have this other keyboard connected). Other than that, it behaves normally, fine. Is there something I can do in the way of getting a driver onto a usb thumb drive and then keep that thumb drive permanently attached (like inside the case)?
You guys were very helpful when I had problems with the MBR, and the UEFI of the 990 Asus Sabertooth Motherboard. Has worked fine since.

Thanks, Jeff

A:2nd generic keyboard needed for Logitech G510 to choose drive in boot

I just looked at that keyboard on Newegg and reading the reviews it seems to be a problematic product for many people. It might be as simple as that.

The first thing I would check in the manual for the keyboard is if there is a toggle that will shut off the advanced functions temporarily.

Modern UEFI BIOS are (will be) configurable and will allow users to load device drivers in the BIOS. I do not know about the BIOS on the 990 Sabertooth. Does that have the GUI? If so, look for any options for loading the keyboard driver.

Now with Win 7 I can't use the wheel anymore, even with the latest drivers. Does anyone know this problem?

I've tried uninstalling, and then reinstalling. I tried troubleshooting to have the driver software installed but still can't get it to work. I'm beginning to think it's an issue with Windows 7 and Logitech.
Wins 7
Dell XPS 420
Logitech HD Webcam C310

A:Can't install driver for Logitech HD Webcam on Wins 7

Download the latest drivers from Logitech. Uninstall the drivers completely from your system and disconnect the webcam. Reboot.

Now, do not plug in the camera. Install the drivers. When the software tells you to, plug in the camera. Windows will then install the camera drivers.

If the software does not tell you to, completely install the drivers and reboot. Then, after the system comes up completely, plug in the camera. Windows will then install the camera drivers.

Remember that, unless Windows has native support for hardware (i.e., the hardware doesn't come with a disk), install the drivers before you plug in the hardware. This is the rule, rather than the exception.

I have an older-model webcam, Logitech QuickCam Zoom, that I wanted to use for Skype. It's been years since I've used this thing, and I was trying to install it in my new(er) computer running Windows 7 x64. Logitech's official stance is that this device isn't able to run on Windows 7, but I've found multiple postings across the Internet who have made it work following the same procedure.

Logitech Quickcam Zoom working with Windows 7 | Hi, I'm Dan Cunningham

The only deviation I've made after following the posted instructions didn't work is that I use the drivers located at the following directory after installation:
C:\Program Files (x86)\Logitech\QuickCamWebInstall\Drivers\WinNew\PRO2

Long story short: I plug the webcam in, and the microphone works, but the camera does not, appearing under Device Manager as "Unknown Device." I'm told to use Device Manager to manually select the location for the webcam's drivers (right click Unknown Device, choose Update Driver Software). I choose "Browse my computer for driver software" and select the directory it's in (and all subfolders).

When I do this, the results screen says "Windows could not find driver software for your device."

How do I get Windows to recognize the contents of the directory I'm sticking its nose in? I feel like I'm house-training a dog at this point, and failing spectacularly. I'd rather not shell out a ton of money for a newer model of something I already have just for Skype. Any... Read more

Hi there! I've recently been given a Logitech F710 gaming controller for my computer (a Samsung 305E on Windows 7 - I'm not 100% computer literate so let me know if you need any other specs). Most games work fine - I played Batman: Arkham Origins without any problems. However, many older games, such as Assassin's Creed and Mass Effect, I learned, require me to create a profile using the Logitech Gaming Software.

I downloaded this software from the official site. However, the Logitech Gaming Software does not recognize the controller, even when the Connection Utility also provided on the Logitech website does.

I am not really sure what to do. I have removed and re-downloaded Logitech Gaming Software, but I still cannot do anything with it. I would really appreciate any help, thank you very much.

Stromversorgung liegt ja an.

A:Driver install software

You're free to use whatever you want, but I've tried several of the more well-known driver install apps and, in all cases, they were flawed. Errors included: trying to install older versions of drivers I already had, trying to install the wrong drivers for my hardware, telling me a driver was obsolete when, in fact, I KNEW it was the most current.

Generally, the best approach is to get your driver updates from the source -- the hardware vendors that provide the drivers in the first place.

Using device manager, it gives a error that windows found the driver but had problem installing it. And finally, I tried to install it directly using executable but couldn't install. For instance, I tried to install AMD Catalyst software and everything in it installed except the drivers, catalyst control center, hydravision and every application software installed but just not the driver software. I also had problem with bluetooth software. All drivers installed fine when I installed the windows 8.1 but after few days, this problem began and now I am not able to install any of it. P.S. Every other program I have tried to install for the driver isn't recognized by my laptop, and won't work, and I BADLY need to install all current updates. Help in any way possible.

A:How do I install driver software w/o the disk?

Is it a built in network card? If it is you can get the driver from dell.If you have access to a computer with internet, you could download the drivers on to a usb stick from the Official Dell Site. Then install the drivers onto the laptop from the usb. BTW the link is for the UK site, you will need to change the location at the topof the page if you are somewhere else. Here's some instructions to do this if you need them:Click on "I'm looking for drivers and downloads" then identify your laptop using one of the three methods dell gives you (first or second are probably the easiest). Then when you've identified your laptop select your operating system and what driver you need from the dropdown lists (network). A network driver should appear below. There will probably more than one.Select the one for your ethernet adapter on your laptop. Make sure it says "Dell-Driver" in the title (not update or something).Click download and then 'download through your internet browser'. It should end up in the downloads folder (if using vista or 7) or you will get asked where do you want to put it (if you're on an xp machine). Make a note of the file name anyway so you can look for it.Then drag and drop the driver file onto the usb stick. Then simply put the usb stick into your laptop and double click the driver file and follow the prompts to install it.Hope that is helpful.

Windows update seems to miss a lot and i would like a program (hopefully portable. If not, it doesnt matter) that i can use to automatically install drivers. Anyone know any?

I cannot get a USB device to work. I have a USB device, the CD that came with it, a downloaded update, and some additional drivers (setup information and a system file) from the manufacturer. The device is made for 32-bit machines and I have a 64-bit machine. It is a very simple device and what I've read on the internet says you can tell the program to run in an older environment and as the administrator.

However, the problem is the DRIVERS. When I go through the Device Manager, it doesn't find the updated drivers on the CD nor in File Explorer. I even tried installing the program on my old 32-bit computer and copying all the files from there onto a zip drive and trying to use those, to no avail. It just says the device drivers are up to date, which they are NOT because the program crashes.

A:Can't install USB device on 64-bit Windows 7 -- have 32-bit driver software

You can get some 32-bit apps to run on 64-bit machines. But not drivers

From Microsoft about 32-bit and 64-bit Windows: frequently asked questions. Read the full article. You can try look on the vendor website, MS update... but many 32 bit drivers just won't work on 64 bit machines

Device drivers designed for the 32-bit version of Windows don't work on computers running a 64-bit version of Windows.Click to expand...

I've had this problem before...a long time ago, and I don't remember how to fix it.

This pop up box keeps returning everytime I turn on my laptop:

Windows needs to install driver software for your PCI device.

I let Windows find the driver(s). It can't find them.

Please insert the disk the device came with.

I don't even know what device it's talking about. I haven't connected any device to my computer except a flashdrive (Rage XT 64GB); an old Western Digital external hard drive; and my samsung galaxy s5 cell phone.

these last two items had no pop up issues asking to install drivers for many times connecting them prior to connecting the flashdrive); the find driver(s) and install them pop up box seemed to only start appearing after I connected the flashdrive-but I can't remember for sure when it started.

Windows then asks if I want them to look for another solution since I don't have the disk the device came with. I click Yes. Windows then says it cannot find a solution to this problem.

Over and over...just about everytime I turn on my computer. Why not everytime? Your guess is as good as mine.

I have tried looking for solutions on the internet but every solution seems to be case specific instead of an overall fix to this problem-and many people seem to have had this problem.

Anyway, I have three unknown PCI devices and one multimedia video controller device showing in my Device Manager that have the yellow exclamation mark beside them. I'm guessing ... Read more
