I recommend downloading and running Reimage. It's a computer repair tool that has been proven to identify and fix many Windows problems with a high level of success.

I've used it in the past to identify and fix everything from blue screens (BSOD's), ActiveX errors, corrupt files and processes, dll/exe/sys errors, recover lost memory, Windows update problems, defragging, malware removal etc.

You can download it direct from this link http://downloadreimage.com/download.php. (This link will automatically start a download of Reimage that you can save to your computer.)

Hi guys ......I can switch ON the bluetooth (though it doesnt' add a device) but when  I try to make it discoverable, a message window of 'bluetoth service error' opens up saying that bluetooth device might be unplugged and discoverability settings can't be saved.  When i try to automatically update drivers,it shows that the driver is up to date.

Hi !!
I am having a bluetooth adapter installed on my PC. Now I wanted to connect my Samsung HM1100 headset with it. It paired and everything but during installation of driver it says "NO DRIVER FOUND". I have tried too many times and I have also installed a bluetooth driver "SILICON WAVE BLUETOOTH DRIVER".
Actually its a dongle I'm having. So it didn't require any drivers but it won't connect to my bluetooth headset.

I have an issue with my Medialink USB Bluetooth Adapter - Version 4.0 Class 2 Smart Ready Adapter (Model No. MUA-BA3). Let me explain...

Okay, I have setup my Medialink USB Bluetooth Adapter with the drivers for my Windows 7 operating system. Now, when I plug this USB Bluetooth adapter into my USB port connector on my desktop computer, it automatically lights up with a blue light on the Medialink USB Bluetooth Adapter itself and on my Windows 7 system tray/notification area I get the Bluetooth icon displayed as ?ON?. Then I go ahead and pair the computer and my device(s) (example: a Smartphone) to connect which they do successfully. When I am done using the Bluetooth technology, I disconnect the Bluetooth connection from each device and then instead of leaving your USB Bluetooth adapter ON with my Windows 7 operating system, I go into my Windows 7 system tray/notification area and select ?Turn Adapter OFF?. I then get the red Bluetooth icon in my Windows 7 system tray/notification area demonstrating that my Bluetooth is indeed OFF and the Bluetooth blue light on the Medialink USB Bluetooth Adapter goes OFF or is not lit any longer. Okay, so far so good ? everything is normal.

However, when I shutdown my Windows 7 operating system and then restart the computer at some later point, I notice that the Medialink USB Bluetooth Adapter still shows on my Windows 7 system tray/notification area as OFF (okay ? normal); BUT THE BLUE LIGHT ON THE MEDIA LINK USB BLUETOOTH AD... Hi, can you give a 20 word or less problem summary please, I got lost in those wordy details.

I am no BT expert or anything, but all I read was complaining about a light being on, which a piece of black electrical tape fixes around my house, regularly *cough* fire alarms.

If the maker of the device doesn't have a solve to your issue... that is usually the end of the road with a cliff.

I want to play music on my mobile phone but listen the sound on my E5450 laptop, using bluetooth (not other methods)
I have paired the device with the laptop, but I see no options in Windows about what bluetooth services is Windows offering to paired devices.
The laptop is using latest Intel bluetooth driver for the device that appears in device manager with name "Intel Wireless Bluetooth", with these hardware ids:
There is a "bluetooth headset service" on windows with start type manual, I've started hoping it would allow phone to "see" the laptop as a bluetooth audio headset but no change.
I remember old Windows had a "Services" tab sheet on the bluetooth settings but on my W10 is gone.
Is this gone for good from Windows 10, or only on my laptop? Using latest released windows version.

A:How to view/enable bluetooth services (bluetooth windows service is already working) on E5450 with Windows 10?

I?m not sure where to find that info, but streaming audio from your phone to the PC would require that the PC act as an A2DP target, and to my knowledge Windows only acts as an A2DP source.

I am just a girl who has moderate understanding of computers, and just want to get my bluetooth working.

I had a bluetooth adapter from DealeXtreme http://dx.com/p/super-mini-bluetooth-2-0-adapter-dongle-vista-compatible-11866, yes the really cheap one, It wasn't exactly plug and play on my windows 7, but with some hard work an the Toshiba Bluetooth Stack I got it working, even with skype. However, audio quality to and from my Headphones sucked, and I believed the cheap bluetooth thing was the cause of it so:

I bought a Trust bluetooth adapter v4.0 http://www.trust.com/products/product.aspx?artnr=18187 to give my laptop (wich has no bluetooth build in) bluetooth and connect to my Headset http://www.philips.co.uk/c/cell-phone-accessories/over-ear-black-shb7000_00/prd/, my phone (LG-P970 with android 2.2.2) and tablet (Samsung galaxy tab 2 (10 inch).

I can't get it to work. When I use the installation mini-DVD that came with it and do exactly as it says (offcourse i uninstalled every bluetooth fthing from before like bluetooth adapters, and toshiba stack and so on and then rebooted ) It installs only half couse the peripheral drivers keep showing the famous red cross.

Hello forum, I am looking for some help / suggestions.

I recently purchased the above ORICO Bluetooth Adaptor with the hope of being able to stream music from my PC to my BT speaker. However, I do not think the device is installing correctly as I do not seem to have any BT profiles in order for me to do this.

My installation process was as follows:

Uninstall old MS BT Adapter from Device Manager.
Remove MS BT Adapter from system.
Install your "ORICO Bluetooth 4.0 Adapter driver".
Plugin your BT Adapter.

After taking a while to install, Device Manager Installs a "CSR Bluetooth Chip" driver. However, this driver has no profiles at all, and no icon is the system tray and no way of even pairing devices.

Any help with this would be very gratefully received.

Hey there!
I use a HP Pavilion dv5-1004nr Notebook PC that came with Windows Vista (64 BIT) installed on it. The Bluetooth adapter worked fine till I upgraded to Windows 7 Ultimate (32 BIT). From then on, the device manager doesn't show any Bluetooth Devices; 'HP Bluetooth software' [ downloaded from HP website for my Laptop Model and Windows 7 (32 BIT) ] won't install saying something along the lines of 'No Bluetooth Devices found...'
I tried installing the 32 BIT driver manually through "Add a Legacy Device" and still had no luck. My BIOS has no options similar to turning the Bluetooth adapter on/off.
Furthermore, I upgraded my BIOS corresponding to Windows 7 (32 BIT) and my Laptop Model from the HP website- still no luck!
All other devices work fine after the upgrade though and there is not a single "Unknown Device" shown in the Device Manager.
Any help would be really appreciated.

I have 3 Probook 4530s Laptops. They have i5 CPUs USB 2.0 and 3.0 ports along with bluetooth 3.0 and HD display. The WiFi adapter speed  is 150mb on 2.4 gz band. I would not like to have anything sticking out of the side of the computer that needed to be removed that might get lost. Can I replace the internal WiFi + Bluetooth 3.0 adapter to pickup the speed and both bands? If so, can anyone tell me what adapter I need to me looking for and what driver. I have a Razer Blade 2013 with a Killer Wifi/BT card (BT chipset is Qualcomm Atheros AR3012), running Windows 7 Ultimate 64-bit.

Last week I updated the drivers for the Bluetooth card... now, it just gets stuck at this screen when I try to pair my mouse, headphones, phone etc:

I can pair the devices quite easily with each other, and with my desktop. I guess the driver update broke something on the laptop?!

Things I have tried:Completely deleted and reinstalled Killer drivers
Rolled back to previous drivers
Uninstalled adapter and let default MS drivers install
Removed all paired devices from the Devices/Printers list
Set Bluetooth Support service to automatic etc.

I'm at a loss, and pretty annoyed as I rely on Bluetooth a lot (I guess "if it ain't broke, don't fix it" applies here!).

Any help appreciated.

A:Windows won't find any Bluetooth devices after driver update :(

The simplest thing i can think of at this point to try is if you have the resource disk for your system board if this is a custom built system; reinstall the drivers for the bluetooth hardware that came with your system. Doing that may solve the issue. It is possible the update that was put out for whatever reason was not meant for your system which could be why it is not working after updating even if it shows it should be. Ive discovered that some updates arent meant for certain systems even if they show that they are because either they wont install; or they will install but will cause a issue after being installed. So i would try reinstalling the original bluetooth drivers and see what happens.

Hi Forgany,
Welcome to Lenovo Community!
What you can do is uninstall all the Bluetooth application and drivers which you have installed currently and then download and install ThinkVantage system update utility. After the installation restart the system and run the application, this will search for the entire required latest driver for your system.
Hope this helps.

Hi there, i'm Brian.

Asked for help few months ago with my laptop which you guys were great with and much appreciated. I have a new question I could use some help with.

Desktop I built about 2 1/2 - 3 years ago before bluetooth was as big as it is now.

I'm looking for a adapter but not exactly sure if there's a better brand to get. I know that like HDMI cables, a $15 will work as well as a $40 one but am looking for recommendations.

So far, this is what i've been able to find...

Some are pretty cheap which is great, but some are companies i've also never heard of. Paying for a brand name is one thing but i'd like someone reputable.

Any suggestions, comments, etc is appreciated.

I have recently purchased a Bluetooth dongle (it's tiny), because I lost the 1st one.

When I bought first dongle, I had to spend hours and hours installing, uninstalling drivers etc.. because there was no driver CD and I had to search myself. Also the dongle didn't have any brand mark on it or the packaging. I tried BlueSoleil and have never experienced a worst piece of software in my entire life, Broadcom drivers wouldn't work either. But somehow, I managed to get it working and got it connected with my Nokia mobile (6233) and everything was great.

Then I lost it, I bought this new adapter. It isn't the same and again I'm going through the same trouble. I've tried BlueSoleil but it's sh#t like always, doesn't even work properly, Broadcom won't find the dongle. The bluetooth on the notifications pops up thought but it won't find or recieve from my phone. Searched for drivers with no luck. The brand name was RTCC or something but I can't remember specifically cuz someone threw the packagaing away (again without CD).

I have no idea what I did to fix the first one and I can't get this stupid thing to work!!!! I'm using Windows 7, Windows Update won't find drivers for it also..

Any ideas? Thanks!

Bluetooth is the easiest (read "least hassle") way of transferring data to your netbook from an Android device. I got a "nano" Bluetooth adapter for my Toshiba laptop, it worked nicely. It sticks out approximately 3/8" (7mm) and was under 10 USD.

If you don't want to go that route, then you can use sync software. I use My Phone Explorer (free). Once you have it set up, you can access your Android device as if it were a networked PC on your home LAN.

Another alternative is to use a USB cable. Set your Android device to Disk Drive under Connect to PC. I'm not 100% sure, but I think that this allows access to data on the SD Card only. Not a problem on my phone as it saves pictures and videos to a folder on the SD Card.

So, I've been having this problem for a few years now. I tried every possible solution on the internet, but I just can't do it. Bluetooth will not work on my Windows 7 64-bit. It just doesn't. I attached my bluetooth dongle. Windows installs the driver for it (CSR Bluetooth Chip) and that's where my story ends. I have never gotten beyond this point. It seems like I should be able to detect bluetooth devices now, but no it does not. There are no bluetooth option on PC whatsoever. The only thing I can find is the driver in Device Manager. I can see it's listed under Bluetooth-radios. I can find the dongle in Devices and Printers. When I right-click it, there is an option for Bluetooth-settings. In these settings is an option for visibility (this PC can be detected by other devices), but every time I check the box and click apply, it gives me an error. I thought this was the problem, or it had something to do with the dongle.

BUT, then I installed the Windows 10 Technical Preview. I saw the option for bluetooth. I thought I should try it out. I clicked the button and immediately I found all bluetooth devices. It has never been this easy.
I'm wondering, why can't Windows 7 find my devices? As far as I now, there is no Bluetooth button to click on Windows 7. Yes, there is an add a device option, but it's not Bluetooth specific.

So, what am I dealing with here? I'm starting to suspect that somethings wrong with my Windows 7. Does it not have any bluetooth options built-in at... Read more

I've done everything but stand on my head and I cannot get the P50 and the Sony to see each other to pair. I use the headset everday at the gym with an iPod Nano with no problem. With the P50 I've tried "add a bluetooth device' and 'show bluetooth devices'. In neither instance does the Sony appear. Suggestion? Mark

Does anyone knows whether the Acer Aspire 5253-BZ661 laptop has a built-in bluetooth device in it? Reading from articles on the internet, I don't see any information regarding this laptop's particular model having a built-in bluetooth device in it but has a bluetooth driver and suite ready for the download at the acer main site.

Hello Every once in a while, my Microsoft bluetooth mouse stops working. Then it works for a while, can be days or sometimes maybe even weeks before it stops working again. I found this article https://support.lenovo.com/ca/en/solutions/ht506394 which seems to describe my problem. installed intel ac-3160 dual band + blue tooth in a Sony notebook system wont allow blue tooth to start.
also there is no interface available to connect any hardware to it, i know it has something to do with some Vaio software on the system.
it allows me to use dual band mode and it shows that blue tooth is present but disables it claiming interference with 2.4 GHz band.
now i have had blue tooth dongles installed working while using 2.4 GHz band before with no issues, so i don't get the issue now.
any input would be appreciated.
thankx Karl K
