I recommend downloading and running Reimage. It's a computer repair tool that has been proven to identify and fix many Windows problems with a high level of success.

I've used it in the past to identify and fix everything from blue screens (BSOD's), ActiveX errors, corrupt files and processes, dll/exe/sys errors, recover lost memory, Windows update problems, defragging, malware removal etc.

You can download it direct from this link http://downloadreimage.com/download.php. (This link will automatically start a download of Reimage that you can save to your computer.)

2:) If we have to add any Office Volume Activation key on the KMS Server for activation where we have to add in Office activation Pack or VAMT 3.0 Tool?
3:) Let if we add in the key into the office activation Pack, then Product key will show in VAMT tool or not?

I'm trying to create a new simple volume in 130 GB free disk space. There's no obvious reason why it would refuse to do so - I'm not at the hard limit on number of partitions or anything - but disk management MSC is consistently returning "Not enough space" errors.

The only thing I can think of is something to do with the partition order, but if so I have no idea how to fix it non-destructively. I'm in the middle of backups on it, so deleting partitions is a no-go. At the moment I don't understand what's going on.

I'm resurrecting WDT for Win 10, it's been quite useful at Eightforums - but Win 10, especially with digital entitlement, has different needs.

I uploaded a beta at github for those that would like to test and give feedback in terms of what is required etc. The thing at EF was I was one of few interpreting the diagnostic report, so making the report itself more user friendly is one of the main things we need to sort out.
The current report is almost verbatim what Windows' licensingdiag.exe utility produces.

NB Office is phase 2 so that will not be a priority right now.

PS It also needs a new name.

NB: It may hang on first use - if so close and restart... it's a known bug.

Hi,

I am pretty new to all this and am looking to fix my daughters PC.

I have a few issues regarding the installation of some of the key drivers after installing Win XP Pro - SP3. I installed this as opposed to the Vista OS that the PC came with.

My issue is that I have read about a driver management tool for analysing and there are hundreds on the web. Just wondering if anyone has used this tool and what one you would recommend for use. Freeware would obviously be good however I will pay for something if it is worth it.

Really grateful if you could help out.

Hi, the disk management tool on my windows doesn't move on and hangs at "connecting to virtual disk service" forever:

My HP desktop is new, windows 8.1, hard drive having ample space. I searched the web and tried, but to no avail. Any idea? Or where can I download a free windows disk management tool to fix the issue? Thank you.

A:Disk management tool not working

Hi invincible,

Since it is a brand new rig and I'm assuming you have done nothing of significance to drastically alter the OS, I would first contact the HP support group for assistance because there may be more corruption yet to be found. However, if you would like to try and fix it before doing so, you can try these 2 commands from an elevated command prompt:

sfc /scannow (this will take a while)

If errors are report run this next command:

Dism /Online /Cleanup-Image /RestoreHealth

If DISM reports success, try opening Disk Management again.
Good luck,

The main focus of my search is for a utility that will allow the setting and saving of process priority via simple right-click through task manager. I had my eye on PRIO as it looked to do just that while also offering the bonus of a convenient UAC auto-elevation option. Unfortunately it looks not to have been supported since 2012. I aborted installation when it began looking like some of the options may be Vista only.

Forum search resulted in only a few related threads, most of which were quite dated. I'm hoping there may currently be additional options.

A:Process Management Tool Suggestions?

Some years ago I tried PRIO on Windows 7 and it seemed to work well. If it was supported up until 2012 it is highly probable that it fully supported Windows 7, which after all was released in 2009. The reference to Vista may have been to Vista and later. The documentation may not have been updated.

I am not currently using it as I have no need for it.

There are some stand alone utilities that can set process priority but I know of none that work through Task Manager.

Hi again, I?m Ted Way, program manager for Office 2010 volume activation. Last time I posted to this blog, I talked about KMS and MAK as two activation methods for the enterprise. If you?re planning on deploying Office 2010, Windows (7, Vista, Server 2008 R2, Server 2008), or a combination of these, you?ll be happy to know that the activation technologies are essentially the same. The same KMS host running on Windows Server 2008 R2, volume editions of Windows 7, or Windows Server 2003 can activate both Windows and Office, for example.

In this post I?ll show screenshots of the end-user experience if activation was not successful. In addition, I?ll share some tips and tricks on how to manage your volume editions of Office and activation so your time can be spent on checking out all the cool new features in Office 2010. Your end-user does not need to know anything about activation because everything is happening behind-the-scenes.

End-User Notification Experience

For volume editions of Office, users will not see any reminders to activate the first 25 days after installation. However, if activation is not successful, then users will see notification dialogs every time they launch an Office application from day 25 to 30 post-installation. An example of these notification dialogs is shown below. If the user closes the dialog, he or she will still be able to fully use all the features in Office.

If Office still has not been activated 30 days after installation, users... Read more

Hi everyone,

I’m currently looking for a tool to manage multiple Exchange calendars in Outlook. I have several Exchange calendars from different organizations (i.e. different domains), all of which we share with “Availability” privacy level. My problem is that when I add an appointment in my “Company A” calendar, no one in “Company B” will see that I became unavailable then. Here’s what I imagine:

If I get a new appointment invitation or create a new appointment myself, I’d like to be able to choose which calendar(s) this appointment is added to. The tool should provide some sort of meta-calendar that holds all my appointments in one central calendar. When I change an appointment, it should be changed in all the Exchange calendars I added it to.

Does anyone know something in that area? Do you even think this is possible?

Best,
Silas

So I've been using Vista Beta 2 (5384) since they announced the public preview, and I've so far had few issues with it. The OS runs fairly smooth, and while being a bit heavy on resource usage, it's performed well in most normal usage.

One small issue I've run into, which so far has me stumped is with the new sound controls in vista. I've figured out the different level management (with levels under the play control properties in my SB audigy 2, and the volume controls available via the taskbar icon) but I'm having trouble with some XP-built apps. An understandable hurdle, but it's troubling, as many of these programs are ones that I use regularly.

So far I haven't had trouble getting Ventrilo, Skype and other such VoIP programs to work, but their integrated sound device controls seem to be inaccessible since vista controls it all quite differently. The bigger problem I'm having right now is with games. So far I've tested SOURCE-based games like HL2 and CS, as well as Elder Scrolls IV: Oblivion, with no problems to speak of, but another title has me stumped. Warcraft 3, once installed (with expansion) and patched, refuses to initialize a sound device at all. It worked decently before patching, but now I can't get sound to work at all. I've tried changing the audio settings in game, as well as running the game in WinXP compatibility mode, but so far nothing's working. I've also had no luck getting War3 to minimize (via alt-tab or ctrl-esc) without crashing. I wouldn't have e... Read more

Hi there,
If you want to extend volume, you should make sure there is no partition between the original partition and free space (PS: it will not work if the free space is in "Extended partition"). Attached a simple screenshot in my test machine:http://cid-9c88b7cb6fa32a48.skydrive.live.com/self.aspx/.Public/Extend.jpg
If you have dual-boot Windows XP and Windows 7, I suggest you create new partition with left free space and mount this partition as a folder to XP (or Windows 7 ) partition which is quite easy.
What do you think about it?

At one stage there was music and video on there but that is long gone.

I can't figure out what is trying to use Vol E. How do I go about tracking down what is looking at it?

Any guidance would be useful.

You're looking to delete it anyway, and I get the impression you've emptied that volume to add it to C.
So, don't worry about what may be trying to use it.

Just force the deletion, and go about with what you want to do.

Hi,

I've an external drive that has two partitions. I wanted to merge them and Clicked Delete Volume on Windows 7 Disk Management......but on the wrong partition.

There's no undo feature :-(

I've seen this but understand it only works on Windows 2000 and XP. How To Recover an Accidentally Deleted NTFS or FAT32 Dynamic Volume

I've also seen this Free Partition Recovery Wizard - recover deleted, lost partitions with EaseUS Partition Master.

I havn't done anything to the drive and don't want to do the wrong thing in case I start loosing data.

Has anyone used "EaseUS Partition Master" once it's restored the partitions are all the files intact? Or do I then need to use a file undeleter? I had about 91GB of data on the partition and don't have another drive at the moment with that much free?

Are there other software downloads that can help me?

Many Thanks

EaseUS Partition Recovery for free restored the partition and this included all files on the partition so no need for an undelete too.

THIS HAS BEEN SOLVED.

I used windows 7 disk management tool to make a new partition.
It didn't work and I kept receiving an invalid parameters error.
I restarted my computer to find that my hard drive was partitioned.
I extended the drive back and rebooted.
Now in windows explorer I am at a loss of about 200 gb of space.
The space is apparently missing.
I will attach two pictures.
One of the Windows explorer and the other of a tool I used called partition wizard.

and here is partition wizard

Partition clearly shows that I have all the space I originally had, but windows explorer doesnt.
How can I fix this?
Thank you for everyone's time in advance.
All help and info will be greatly appreciated.

Hello xlad mate have a look see in DISKPART at the drive there - take the SD out first to stop it being listed.

In PW right click on the C: and > Explore see what there is listed too.

Hello,

I'm using Intel Rapid Storage Technology to implement a RAID 5 array. I just added a 4 disk drive to the array. Everything wnet OK until the final step: Using Windows disk management to increased the volume size. I've posted a screen shot below. The volume is named 'Media". When I right click it, the extend volume item is grayed out. I've checked everthing I can think of, and can't find anyything wrong. I am running as administrator.

Please help!

Been reading up on Raid again to try and help you. Cant find an answer for you but you should be able to rebuild the Raid without losing data.
Hopefully someone more knowledgeable will come along to help you

I have an external 15gb drive I'm trying to get some old files off of and I only have my laptop so I'm using an external enclosure. I can use it with other drives perfectly but I can't access the volumes from within my OS (Windows) on this drive.
