I recommend downloading and running Reimage. It's a computer repair tool that has been proven to identify and fix many Windows problems with a high level of success.

I've used it in the past to identify and fix everything from blue screens (BSOD's), ActiveX errors, corrupt files and processes, dll/exe/sys errors, recover lost memory, Windows update problems, defragging, malware removal etc.

You can download it direct from this link http://downloadreimage.com/download.php. (This link will automatically start a download of Reimage that you can save to your computer.)

I'm having problems with my internet explorer, which will not load at all. I can go into Real Player and use the browser there but I can not go to any antivirus sites, Symantec, McAfee, etc. I recently installed Norton 360 and at the prelim scan before installation, the program found a worm. After installation, the program found numerous other problems including trojan horses, spyware, adware, etc. I also cannot run liveupdate through Norton and I know there are other "things" lingering.

I am also getting the windows security alert stating that I have spyware that is making copies of my hard drive without permission that pops up every so often. And I can also not see my control panel. Also, when I have this computer plugged into my router, it seems to take up all of my bandwidth. Other computers plugged into the router time out when on the computer because it takes so long for the pages to load. When I unplug the "infected" computer, the non-infected computers do not have problems.

I'm not sure what to do, so any help would be greatly appreciated. I've attached a logfile from HijackThis. PLEASE help!!

I saw the problem when running ?Task Manager? I had a very high CPU load and it also had an activity I did not recognise. The browser was connected to a site ?adspixels?

In the ?Application? tab I clicked on the activity and clicked ?End Process?. That did not stop it. I later found out that to stop this process I had to go to the ?Process? tab and find the ?right? iexplore.exe click on that and click ?End Process?

I?ve run most of the virus program I know of but none have reported that my pc is infected.

I?ve also tried an upgraded to Explorer 11 but I still have the same problem so I uninstalled it. In Explorer 10 I?ve also added this site to the ?Restricted sites? with highest security setting.

Adspixels1.png shows the site 3de activity from top and Adspixels2.png shows the memory it takes. So the clicking the iexplorer.exe *32 consuming 13 440 K and clicking ?End Process? I can stop it but it always pops up again starting first with a ?Blank Page ? Windows Internet Explorer? for half a minute and then it changes to ?adspixels? site.

Anybody out there who knows what this is and how to get rid of it?

A:[SOLVED] Internet Explorer 10 hijacked?

Hi and Welcome to TSF!

First, please upgrade your browser to IE 11 as running IE 10 can open security holes.

After a restart does that program begin to run again? Can you list what program you have installed? Or post screenshots of the list.

When I booted up my Acer Aspire 5100-3357 laptop two days ago, an error message suddenly came up. Since then, it continues to come up whenever I open a new window, and I have no idea what caused it or what to do about it.

I previously removed two infections using Malwarebytes right before that error started appearing. So far, in spite of the error message, I have no trouble opening any sites.

Now, every once in awhile, when the error message pops up, and I click on "OK" or the "X", it will open a new Web page! These pages are always trying to get me to join something or other (they never seem to be the same) and they are never pages I have accessed before or am currently trying to access!

I have loaded and reloaded Malwarebytes and run both the Quick Scan and the Full Scan multiple times, but it keeps coming up clean. I also ran Adaware and Spyware Doctor without success. (I did not run them at the same time, and after trying one, I would remove it before installing another.)

Finally, I downloaded AVG Free and ran it in Safe Mode twice (no success) and in regular Windows, where it located and removed two Trojans, but the iExplorer Application Error virus is still there!

I have included the requested logs with this post.

A:[SOLVED] Virus has hijacked my Internet Explorer! Please help!

Since no one has responded yet to my problem, maybe I need to explain it more clearly.

A virus has taken over my Internet Explorer.

It appears as a pop-up notice: iexplore.exe - Application Error "The instruction at "0x00000000" referenced memory at "0x00000000". The memory could not be "written". Click on OK to terminate the program.

Facts about this virus:
It appears randomly, sometimes only once, sometimes repeatedly.
It often appears when a window is being opened or closed.
It sometimes redirects me to a different Web page.
Other times I am able to make it go away by clicking "OK" or "X".
Sometimes, if I click on the "OK" or the "X" it will come back a second time.
It will not allow me to use Windows Update.
It will not allow me to update Windows Defender.
It will not allow me to Restore my computer to an earlier date except in Safe Mode.
It will not allow certain Anti-virus programs to update (i.e., Avast).
No anti-virus program I have tried is able to detect it, either in Normal Mode or in Safe Mode.

Things I have tried to remove this virus:
I have run the following anti-virus / anti-malware programs without success: Avira Antivirus Free, Avira AntiVir Removal Tool, AVG Free, Malwarebytes, Spyware Doctor, Avast Free, Spybot S&D, Ad-Aware Free, McAfee AVERT Stinger, and Norman Malware Cleaner. Hello Tech Support Forums,
ever since my sister installed a spyware program called "IE Antivirus 3.3" in our pc, i was unable to do anything.

Task Manager wont show,
McAfee wont show,
Command Prompt doesnt appear to work,
Add/Remove programs wont remove IE Antivirus 3.3,
Can't shut down pc

AND Windows Explorer and Internet Explorer would stop working after a moment and a system error message would pop up, stating that i have to download spyware protection.

i was finally able to download Spyware Doctor Starter Edition and it appeared to remove the spyware program, and i regained access to most of my pc again

However, Windows Explorer and Internet Explorer are still hijacked and that system error message continues to pop up whenever i start browsing.

I tried many other strategies but i couldnt resolve such a problem

Your log is actually clean. Here's a couple tools to try, let me know if they work in resolving your problem.

Please download Ad-aware SE and install it if you don't have it already. Make sure it's the newest version and check for any updates before running it. Go to this site to get the plug-in for fixing VX2 variants. To run this tool, go into Ad-aware->Add-ons and select VX2 Cleaner. Then click Run Tool and OK to start it. If it's clean, it will say Status System Clean. Otherwise, you will have to click on the Clean button to remove the VX2 infection. Also make sure to customize the settings in Ad-aware for better scan results. Run the scan and fix everything that it finds.

Download WinsockFix and unzip it. Then double-click on it to run it.

Hello,

Recently my internet explorer 7 started launching itself and go to unknown websites : its not a normal launch since its only visible at the task manager procces page and the websites didnt show in the history file.
As I have experiance using my PC I begun doing everything I know.
After Having my computer scanned with many anti malware/spyware proggrams including - Malwarebytes,RogueRemover,Kaspersky,Avg and few more. I failed to find what was causing this and why there isnt any history records of this.
Doing some more research I found a program to view the contents of the explorers history file (IEHV) what I found is that the explorer goes to this site :

tibia-inject.com/ping.php?id=68085&conf=uwp33&infid=1375893814&infname=lol (DONT CLICK IT!!!!!!!!!)

So far I have failed to remove this but I suppose its some sort of keylogger for the game tibia. I have zemana Antilogger but it doesnt catch this 1.
All of my attempts to remove it or finding information on the web on how to remove it have not been succesfull all I found are known rogue program sites so I obviously avoided them in order to not get anything even worse.

If anyone have encountered a similar problem or can refer me to a topic on how to remove this horribly nasty infection and willing to share it here please do.

Thanks

Download L2MFix from one of these two locations:

http://www.atribune.org/downloads/l2mfix.exe
http://www.downloads.subratam.org/l2mfix.exe

Save the file to your desktop and double click l2mfix.exe. Click the Install button to extract the files and follow the prompts. Then open the newly added l2mfix folder on your desktop. Double click l2mfix.bat and select option #1 for Run Find Log by typing 1 and then pressing Enter. This will scan your computer and it may appear nothing is happening. After a minute or 2, notepad will open with a log. Copy the contents of that log and paste it into this thread.

IMPORTANT: Do NOT run option #2 or any other files in the l2mfix folder until you are asked to do so!

My desktop computer runs Windows 7 Pro x64 with the latest updates. When I try to open a certain website in Internet Explorer, IE would crash and display the "Internet Explorer has stopped working" message. The error indicated something wrong with MSHTML.DLL.

Using another browser (Chrome and Firefox) to open the website is fine; it will crash when it's opened in IE. Using IE to open other websites is OK too, just one particular website is having problems (if anyone wants to try, the website I am having issues with is https://payroll.payworks.ca).

I am running IE version 11.0.9600.18697. I have tried opening the website on Internet explorer on a computer running Windows 10 and it doesn't have this problem. So this issue seems to be happening on my Windows 7 computer only.

I have also tried using Internet Explorer no add-ons to open the website, but the same problem occurs.

I have used NirSoft AppCrashView to get the event details of the Internet Explorer appcrash, and I hope someone can take a look and see if it could be a driver or DLL that is corrupted:

I dont know why, but every now and then I get this message when I try to access the website I look after.
It says OOPS! Internet explorer could not find (the web address)

I contacted my ISP and the web host when it first happened, and both said they had no problem with it. My webhost gave me some sites, such as proxy servers to try, and sure enough the website was up. Just I couldnt access it.
It drives me crazy. I cant go in and update the site as it Internet explorer for some reason doesnt find it.
Yet in a day or so, it usually comes right.
I have cleared the cache, the temporary internet files, deleted the cookies and the browser history. I have turned off Norton and none of that made any difference.
I ensured ssl 2 and ssl3 were checked.
It only does it with the website I am monitoring.

Any ideas please??

A:OOPS! Internet Explorer could not find my website

I Just fixed it, I saw this answer on another site

Go into IE Tools, click internet options, click advanced, click on Restore advanced settings and also on reset.
You then have to close IE and open it again.
when the Welcome to IE 8 box opens, I clicked cancel and did not choose any of its options. Now I can access it again. YAY.

Hope this helps someone else.

End users access a website and normally after they answer security questions for the website they can check "remember this computer" and they will not be prompted to answer them again. Since changing to Windows 10, when the end user goes to that
website, even though they check the "remember this computer" option, they are prompted every time to answer security questions. The vendor said that it is nothing on their site. Is there a setting on Windows 10 or IE 11 that is doing this?

Please try again later, or if the problem persists, please contact us.' There is a link on contact us but it doesnt go anywhere either. If someone could tell me the problem, and/or what I should do it would be very much appreciated as I really need to communicate with someone on there soon. Thanks x

Hi,

I recently made a website using Microsoft Publisher and then I edited it with a 30-day trial of Dreamweaver....I've put it on the web...it seems to be working great with firefox but on internet explorer its slow, images take a very long time to load, the page is off center, etc., here's the link to the website...thanks for any help!

http://www.hep.upenn.edu/Quarknet/summer2008/index.htm

A:My Website Works In Firefox But Not Internet Explorer.

Hmm, if you're seriously interested in creating websites you're probably better off learning HTML, CSS (&Possibly Javascript)... Using publisher is probably not the best of ideas, and i've never been impressed by dreamweaver.

If you're interested in learning HTML then i suggest the tutorials here: www.w3schools.com which can guide you through creating w3 standard websites...

As for the problem i see no reason that it should be lagging on one browser and not on the other. And your images are relatively small so i really don't see the problem.

Cheers,
Jamey

Windows XP Pro-IE8:

Gentlemen and Ladies:

I have an issue I have been trying to solve without success. I have used and opened a sports website for years called bleacherreport.com which also sends me daily sports updates in several catagories through emails to my outlook express 6
mail client.

For some unknown reason recently, none of my 3 browsers (IE8/Firefox/Google Chrome) can open Bleacherreports.com and when I get the emails from Bleacherreport.com (which I still receive daily) and try to open one of the articles in the daily update,I get the following Security warning Window in IE8 which is my default browser:

THE CURRENT WEBPAGE IS TRYING TO OPEN A SITE IN YOUR TRUSTED SITES LIST. DO
YOU WANT TO ALLOW THIS?

CURRENT SITE http://.b.bm.324.com

TRUSTED SITE http://bleacherreport.com

YES - NO

Warning: Allowing this can expose your computer to security risks. If you don't trust the current web page, choose no.

I CHOOSE YES,the window closes and I get the mesage -INTERNET EXPLORER CANNOT DISPLAY THE WEBSITE!

What gives?? I know this is an active site--Why won't my computer allow me to connect. I have removed Comodo Internet Security and have kept the Comodo firewall and replaced the Comodo antivirus element with Panda antivirus which has cured some some other issues I have experienced but that didn't resolve this problem.

Please take a shot as this if you can--would really appreciate the help!

Respectfully,

I'm not exactly sure what the best subforum is to post this issue.

Yesterday I did a clean install of Windows 7 RC. I don't have any problems with this thing on other machines.

However if I go to the website www.weblogzwolle.nl I don't see the entire website. Has this got something to do with my screen? Or with Internet Explorer 8?
What I am missing is basically the side bars of the web page.

Thanks!

Edit: on another machine running the same Win7 RC and IE8 I can see the web page perfectly!

Hello Plantje,

I seem to be able to see that website without any problems. You might see if using Compatibility View with the site may help. If not, then see if resetting IE8 may.

Hope this helps,

Hey, this is an odd problem. I Have two computers connected to the wireless netgear router and my desktop connected directly through the cable.

Now I can access the internet just fine, get on games like theres no problem. However there is one website that I can not access from any three of the computers. I think its odd.

I was on one of my games earlier, I said to a friend. "Hey how long has basilmarket.com been down."

The reply was odd, "It's not, I'm on right now!"

So why could the server for the site still be running and all my friends view the page but when I go I get

"The connection has timed out

The server at www.basilmarket.com is taking too long to respond.

* The site could be temporarily unavailable or too busy. Try again in a few
moments.

* If you are unable to load any pages, check your computer's network
connection.

* If your computer or network is protected by a firewall or proxy, make sure
that Firefox is permitted to access the Web."

I don't understand why it would just be me.

I cleared all my cache on two of the computers and still nothing. Anyone have any ideas?

The first thing I usually do is check the system date and time.

Hi

I am having problems with my laptop and when I searched for some online help I came across your website so I hope you dont mind me posting this. Basically I have been abroad for several months and left this laptop here with my younger cousin. Now when i use it it isnt running very well at all and for some reason i keep getting the 'internet explorer cannot display this webpage' error message pretty much every time i try and go to a website or click a link! i keep pressing refresh and then after several attempts it will get to the intended target. Now, several attempts can sometimes mean ive been pressing refresh until ive literally got fed up and closed the window down, its taken that long! i noticed when i clicked the arrow next to the Back button to see my previous destinations there is often urls that i dont recognise and ones that i definately havent visited!

I just tried a malwarebytes scan and it found nothing.

I use this laptop regularly so it is imperitive i get this sorted out as browsing the web is nearly impossible and extremely frustrating. I timed it and it took me 22 minutes to finally get to post this message due to repetitive error messages! lol

Thanks in advance!

The first time it happened, I tried rebooting etc., but the problem has consistently occurred on this PC for a few months. I cannot remember if it ever ran correctly or not, since it first occurred a few months ago.

This does not happen on another PC I have that runs Vista, or a couple of others that run XP Professional.

Wondering if I have some sort of virus or malaware that is causing the crash. I run Kaspersky Internet Security 6 on this PC. I have tried disabling Kaspersky and going to the website, but it still crashes.

I hope someone out there can help me with this issue since it's kinda anoying and it makes my compyter slower, only when I view the profile on the website I use!
