I recommend downloading and running Reimage. It's a computer repair tool that has been proven to identify and fix many Windows problems with a high level of success.

I've used it in the past to identify and fix everything from blue screens (BSOD's), ActiveX errors, corrupt files and processes, dll/exe/sys errors, recover lost memory, Windows update problems, defragging, malware removal etc.

You can download it direct from this link http://downloadreimage.com/download.php. (This link will automatically start a download of Reimage that you can save to your computer.)

`I recently installed Office XP and Publisher 2002 on my new laptop. When I try to search for clipart to insert there are no results. It seems that the key word information for each clip has not loaded and as each picture only has a number/letter combination to identify it I can't find pictures except by looking through all ten thousand thumbnails. How do I fix this? Have tried reinstalling/repairing the programs.

I have a new computer and put my MS Publisher 2000 program on it. Works fine...but I have to use the disks to get pictures in my documents. On my other computer I didn't have to do that. Can I setup Publisher on this computer so that the art gallery works with out disks. If so please give me step by step instructions that are easy for a knuckle head like me to understand. Thanks.

Try reinstalling MS Publisher, choosing "Run all from my computer". That should be step-by-step enough. If you can't get it, PM me, and I'll call ya, grandma.

Hiya

The Microsoft Office 2000 Web Archive add-on allows you to save a Web page as a single file, including all of the graphics on the page, by using the MIME HTML Internet standard. This is especially useful if you save your Microsoft Office 2000, Microsoft Office XP, or Microsoft Office 2003 documents as Web pages, since most of the Microsoft Office programs save Web pages as multiple files. Packing your Microsoft Office documents with the Web Archive add-on helps to avoid errors if you try to send the Web page to someone else. By using Web Archive, you can easily send the Web page as one file via e-mail or save the Web page for offline viewing. You can also unpack a Web Archive if you need to restore an archive to its original state.

Additional information about using the Web archive add-on will be available at a later date.

Note To use the Web Archive add-on - either to archive, view, or restore archived Web pages - you must have Microsoft Internet Explorer 4.0 or later and Microsoft Outlook® Express installed. You do not, however, need to use Outlook Express to e-mail archive files; it must be installed, though.
System Requirements
Supported Operating Systems: Windows 2000, Windows 95, Windows 98, Windows NT

This download works with the following Office applications:

Office 2003

Office XP

Office 2000

Hi any know the solution to this strange problem please? I'm running office 2000 pro on my computer operating Xp pro service pack 2. I have 4 user accounts set up, I have full admin rights as do two others and one has limited rights.

If I open up a word document then try insert picture from file and go to on line clip art when I select a picture from the Microsoft sight it does not go in to the basket, but if I do the same on the only account with limited access it works fine, pictures goes to basket and basket opens asking if I want to down load picture.

I can not add on line clip art pictures to the basket from any other account except the limited account. I have created a new account with limited access, still no joy. Deleted my admin account and re added with limited rights still no joy.

Any help gladly appreciated.

I hope I am in the right place. I am having trouble uploading images from a folder on my hard drive to the Microsoft Clip Gallery. It has worked fine in the past, but recently, when I use my CD creator software and I want to go and make a label for my CD's, I have to click on "import clips" and normally I can get them from my image folder, but now it shows that the folder is empty. I have the pull down specifying "all images" or something to that effect. I have tried changing that pull down, but to no avail. I hope someone can tell me why I am unable to see the images in that image folder so that I can upload them.

A:Microsoft Clip Gallery

Did you use "import clips"? I don't think just copying them works. I think you need to open the clip gallery and hit import clips and then go get 'em.

In using MS Home Publishing Express 2000 on Windows ME, everytime I want to add a picture from the clip art gallery, I get a message saying that Clip Gallery is installed but has somehow become corrupted. It advises me to run setup again or insert picture from another file from the open dialog box. I have uninstalled and reinstalled the software several times and still get the same message. I can open Clip Art Gallery from my start menu, so I would think it safe to say the gallery itself is ok.
I do not know how to re install Clip Art Gallery on its own. I suppose it is on my restore disks. Is this what I need to do? Any help will be appreciated.

When I use Microsoft Clip Gallery to insert a clip art picture, the clip gallery starts and then immediately quits. This happens in Word 2000, Publisher 98 and Frontpage 2000. I have read the Microsoft Knowledge Base Article - 260073.
http://support.microsoft.com/default.aspx?scid=kb;en-us;260073
My computer is not on a network. I use Windows 98. I am not sure what a network client is. I have tried Method 2 in the article but that didn't work. Should I download an updated Novell 32-bit network client. Why would I need one of these if I'm not on a Network? I have had this problem before and on previous occasions I've been forced to uninstalled Word, Publisher and Frontpage and then reinstalled them. I tried that this time but the problem reoccurred straight away.

A:Clip Gallery Quits Immediately After Starting

Have you tried running repair of Office under Start-Settings-Control panel?

Likely, if you installed Publisher last, it got goofed up then.

Not nice to mix versions when you want to use the clip gallery.

Always install the most recent version of (whatever) last.

Hi Pete, welcome to BC.Before you install SP3 for Office 2k, Service Pack 1a needs to go on first. You can get it here if you haven't done it yet.Probably accounts for the missing file you can't locate. To be on the safe side, I'd also rename those two files you changed back to the original extension before installing SP1a.

This probably doesn't apply to many users but I run Windows 7 Home Premium x64 and Office 2000.
I applied all the updates released today and Office was rendered inoperative (Not Responding). After reverting to the restore point I installed the updates one by one and found that the offending update was Windows Malicious Software Removal Tool (x64) (KB890830).

A:Windows Update 7/16/15 Crashes Office 2000

Office 2000 has never been supported on WIndows 7 - for the simple reason that it was too old even in 2009 when Win7 was released, and it went totally out of support in 2010.
The MSRT is a Virus Removal Tool - it has probably been updated to deal with the recent massive surge in vba/macro malware, and caught your Office software tin the process.
Office 2000 is inherently insecure, and I really do recommend that you replace it.

The Microsoft Office Converter Pack provides a collection of text and graphic converters and filters previously available individually but now packaged together in a convenient download.

The Office Converter Pack can be useful to users or organizations that use Microsoft Office XP, Office 2000, and Office 97 in a mixed environment with previous versions of Microsoft Office, including Office for the Macintosh or other Office-related productivity applications.

You can customize the Office Converter Pack to deploy any number of these converters that your organization needs. You can also choose to deploy them with no user interaction or full user interaction, or you can include the converters with your deployment of Microsoft Office.

Note When you install the Office Converter Pack setup detects which versions of the Office programs you are running and installs only the converters and filters appropriate for your versions. For example, if you have multiple versions of Word installed, the Office Converter Pack Setup detects them and makes all the appropriate converters and filters available for installation

Microsoft DirectX® 8.1b is the latest version of DirectX technology, which delivers fast performance for DirectX-enabled games and other rich media software. This version of DirectX can replace the all previous released versions of DirectX. It includes several critical fixes for Direct3D® and DirectShow® components. Please see http://microsoft.com/windows/directx for more information.

System Requirements

Windows 2000 operating system only. On Windows XP, you will need to download the latest Service Pack, or install the corresponding hot fixes. Please see the following Knowledge Base Articles Q321178, Q307207, and Q318507, for more information.

The DirectX installation process requires approximately 35 megabytes (MB) of free space on your hard drive. After installation, the DirectX download takes approximately 15 MB of hard drive space. If you had an earlier version of DirectX installed on your computer, you will see little difference in used space on your hard drive. DirectX 8.1b will overwrite the earlier versions.

Note: After installation, the DirectX 8.1b runtime cannot be removed (uninstalled). The installation process changes core components and makes numerous registry changes within your operating system. Microsoft does not support uninstallation.

I've been having trouble inserting clip art into any MS Office product since I've had this we bought this laptop - HP dv2700 with Vista Home Premium.

Whenver I attempt to insert clip art from the menu, I receive the following - "clip organizer cannot create the following operation. The specified module could not be found. Error code 0x8007007E". I've since done a search on that error and was told to register the Ole32.dll file from the run menu. When I tried that, I received a new error - "the module ole32.dll was loaded but the call to DllRegisterServer failed with error code 0x800700005". The message appears in the RegSvr32 box.

I can't seem to figure out why I'm unable to insert clip art. Is this a registry issue or do I need to reinstall something? I've done many searches on this but it doesn't seem to be well documented. Has anyone experienced or can walk me through a not too technical fix? Any help is appreciated.

After verification that my OS is legit etc. they had a look at this.

They recommend that I reinstall Windows from one of their ISO images

The guy said he wouldn't trust that update as there is the information link
missing.

I only can do what he says, downloading that 3 GB ISO and burn the DVD

So, if you get the SAME looking update, my advise is as his.

Hiya

The attached samples demonstrate how to locate domain controllers, change user passwords, list accounts, and create new user and computer accounts in Microsoft® Windows® 2000 from UNIX.

Each sample includes an executable that is built for the desired UNIX platform and a UNIX-style man page that documents the command usage.

How does Kerberos affect XP Home clients' accessibility to domain resources, or does it?

When you place animated gifs into a Word 2000 document, should the clip animation work by double-clicking on the inserted clip.
Embedded sound clips work fine because the sound software is loaded on the C-drive, but the animated clip only moves when the GIF-player is activated before inserting the movie clip, but not after, and the software is clearly available on the WORD 2000 CD Rom containing the clipart. Is this supposed to be like that? I can't find any reference to it in the Help file.
Presumably the GIF Player should be installed on the computer, and I've tried to locate it but a search on the CD-ROM doesn't reveal what the driver or exe file is called, even though it must be there somewhere.

Hi,

I am pulling my hair out trying to figure out why we get an error when we insert Clip Art into a Word document. It will work for a little bit but throws the error up after you search the Clip Art pictures for about 5 minutes. I think it may have something to do with it looking to the web for pictures because it does not happen when the network cable is unplugged. We have recently upgraded our servers to Server 2003 and have just installed Office Service Pack 3. HELP!!!

Thanks,

John

Hello,

I was wondering if anyone can help me with this issue. I have been trying to fix it for a couple of days now and I am getting extremely frustrated.

I have MS Office Ultimate 2007, neither the clip art or the help menus are working in most of the programs. I have used all of the features previously, so I know they were working.

However, when I tried to access clip art the other day for an assignment the ones from Office Online will not load. They have weird symbols instead of the clip art pictures. When I try to insert one of them I get the error message

Word cannot obtain the data for C:\Users\<my name>\AppData\Local\Microsoft\Windows\Temporary Internet Files\Content.IE5\MPj04331800000[1].jpg link.

I checked and the Microsoft Office Template activeX control is installed...in fact, I can access templates from Office Online. Just not clip art or help.

I have also tried turning off my firewall...but that's useless because I can access online templates, so it has to be connecting to the site. And it didn't help with my problem anyway.

Does anyone have any ideas?

A:Problems with help menu and clip art in MS Office 2007

Will someone please give me some suggestions? I am still having this problem. I thought for a while that maybe it was because I installed Office Ultimate without uninstalling Home and Student. I have since attempted to uninstall both programs, and my computer will not allow me to do that either.

Completely unrelated, I think, but there is something else my computer is doing. It will freeze sometimes(more frequently lately). I will restart it and after about 20 minutes on the logoff screen it will shut off and turn back on to a blue screen saying something about preventing damage to my computer. It goes to the restart options screen before I can read what I should do if I see that screen more than once. PLUS my CPU usage is almost constantly at 100%. I don't know what CPU usage is exactly, but I'm thinking it has something to do with why my computer seems to freeze so much.

Anyway, I REALLY need help! PLEASE can someone tell me where to take my computer, or what tests I can run to see what the heck is going on? I am really getting worried

Hiya

As Whitesnake once said 'here we go again on my own...'

Microsoft has released a patch that eliminates a security vulnerability in NetMeeting, an application that ships with Microsoft® Windows 2000 and is also available as a separate download for Windows NT 4.0. The vulnerability could allow a malicious user to temporarily prevent an affected machine from providing any NetMeeting services and possibly consume 100% CPU utilization during an attack

Also:

Microsoft has developed an improved version of the Cipher.exe tool, offering an important new option – the ability to permanently overwrite (or "wipe") all of the deleted data on a hard disk

I understood MS would release a final update in June 2020 before going end-of-support in jan 2020.
But, almost August and no update in sight, according to https://docs.microsoft.com/en-us/advanced-threat-analytics/ata-versions
So, when can we expect this update (if at all)?

I just saw this after checking for updates.

Looks like one of them is to address the long scan time for updates on "some" computers.
