Monitor stopped receiving signals

Q: Monitor stopped receiving signals

In the last couple of days my monitor will just go black, but my computer would still be on and i would still be talking to people. When I would restart my computer would say it ran into a blue screen. Most recently it stopped and when I tried to restart it, It still wouldn't work. That's the first time it wouldn't work after restarting.

Preferred Solution: Monitor stopped receiving signals

I recommend downloading and running Reimage. It's a computer repair tool that has been proven to identify and fix many Windows problems with a high level of success.

I've used it in the past to identify and fix everything from blue screens (BSOD's), ActiveX errors, corrupt files and processes, dll/exe/sys errors, recover lost memory, Windows update problems, defragging, malware removal etc.

You can download it direct from this link http://downloadreimage.com/download.php. (This link will automatically start a download of Reimage that you can save to your computer.)

My dad bought me a Linksys Wireless-G PCI adapter card (WMP54G) for my desktop computer and installed it into the tower for me. We bought it online and it didn't come with a CD, but I wasn't too concerned since I was just banking on the fact that Windows could find it for me. Using a wireless connection from a Netgear USB wireless adapter I had Windows Vista update the driver. When I removed the Netgear USB adapter, my internet connection obviously went away, but my Linksys PCI adapter didn't pick up any wireless signals. So no network connection in general. I figured I would tackle the problem later and went ahead and upgraded my OS to Windows 7 Ultimate x32 using an internet connection from my USB wireless adapter. After Windows 7 was installed and and all the drivers were updated I tried to see if the PCI adapter worked then but it was still not receiving any signals. I tried uninstalling and re-installing a couple of times now but no change.
From the Device manager the PCI adapter shows up each time and it says the drivers are up to date and that the device is working. I don't know what's causing the problem. The green light by the antenna of the PCI adapter is never on. Can someone help me get on the internet with my device?

Here's the product I'm having issues with.

I'll be happy to provide other information if it'll help.

A:Linksys Wireless-G PCI Adapter not receiving any signals/not working

Your going to have to run the Vista 32bit driver, as there is no Windows 7 driver.

There is a quick installation guide there as well.

Hello,

I have recently bought a new pci wifi lan card (Ralink rt61 turbo) and have plugged in and installed drivers. Initially the drivers the company I bought it from told me to install didn't work, but after some googling found the correct drivers and downloaded from Ralinks website. However these didn't work either.

When using the Ralink wireless utility it says that the card is disconnected, however in device manage it is both connect and the correct drivers installed and everything is perfectly fine.

I ignored the wireless utility and hoped that windows 7 would still be able to use the wireless card as past experiences have shown to be true. This case however I get nothing. Windows 7 says that the wireless card is experiencing problems, it doesn't show any of the routers that should be shown.

I have been looking around a lot and there have been several drivers that should have worked and they haven't.

I would have thought that the antenna is broken or the card doesn't work however when I use it with ubuntu instead of windows 7 it works perfectly fine without any hassle, so the card is definitely working.

Any advice that anyone can give on how to resolve this would be very welcome.

Thanks

Aieden

Hello.

I got a problem with my new setup.
When i boot up my PC, my monitor dos not get any signal.
Its a new build, with a new case, mobo, cpu gpu and a SSD. got the PSU and ram from my older one.

The mobo is a ASUS P8Z77-V
The GPU is a HIS radeon 7970 ghz edition
The CPU is a i5-3570K
The SSD is a crucial m4 128gb
The case is a CoolerMaster HAF MX miditower.

So i me and 2 friends sat down to build the new system.
Every thing is in palce, where it should be. think we checkt every cable and connector like 3 times, all was in place.
We started up and all fans and lights in the case started. But my monitor says "no signal"

Any ideas?

A:Monitor do not get signals from my new PC.

Hi. Have few things to ask you.
Did you try reinsert the video card to make sure it's properly in contact with the slot?
What connector the monitor has? is it VGA or DVI (analog/digital)?
---
If the mobo has onboard vga port you can try it from there. means that if you did try the above measures and the onboard is giving signal, in can be the VGA card is defective?

Try checking the monitor out with other machine also can be an option to rule out card problem

Not sure if that title really makes sense to what I want to know, but that's the best way I can describe it...

I am going to buy this monitor in a week or so http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.aspx?Item=N82E16824014139

I was wondering if there was a way I could have my pc hooked up to the dvi port and have something else hooked up to the hdmi port and be able to switch between what ever is on my monitor.

Any info would help, thanks!

A:Two signals, one monitor?

It is possibly on some monitors using the buttons and menus found on it, my Acer one allows that. I suspect that monitor would do that but not having ever use that model I won't say with certainty. You might be able to call Benq and try to confirm that it will, hopefully the person you get on the phone will know.

I have a P1 GEN2 OLED. While the internet is flooded with complaints of the OLED screen itself, the thunderbolt 3 port of my P1 GEN2 magically stopped working for no reason.  I have been using the laptop with an external display ever since I got the laptop. All went well. Suddenly from yesterday, the external display starts turning into a blue sreen with "NO SIGNAL" shown on it.  I had a windows cumulcative update (KB4532693) and windows security update (KB4524244) yesterday and I suspected that the update might be the culprit. I rolled back the OS. No change. Still NO SIGNAL.  I searched this Forum. Played with Thunderbold 3 menu in the Bios. Everything was enabled and every single option of "security level" was tried. Still NO SIGNAL.  I checked Intel Mangaement Engine software. It is already the latest version. Reinstalled it. Still NO SIGNAL.  I checked Nvidia driver. Latest version already.  In sum, the problem is: the thunderbolt port is still able to power the extenal display but just simply does not pass signal to the external display. HDMI port, however, still passes signal if use an HDMI cable.  I want to give it a shot here to see if anyone has experienced similar issues and how they sovled the problem before I call Lenovo technical support, the staff of which does not seem to know more than some people here on this Forum.

First off, I wanted to say I'm not sure if this is the right forums to ask this question since I don't exactly know what causes my problem so sorry in advance.

This is a pretty new pc and have been successfully turned on before. I was still changing around the settings in bio, mostly ram and cpu. I didn't download anything other than gpu driver and cpu z. On the motherboard's Amazon page a lot of people also complained about their board being bricked, but I don't think mine is, however since I'm a noob at pc (I'm literally new to building pc, I build this pc by watching youtube videos as I go so I doubt it's because something being misplace or anything) I can't figure out what's my pc's problem.
These are the last things that happened to my pc before it got blackscreen: Since the mb run the ram at 2666 or something like that in default, I tried to overclock it to 3200 since it's what my ram is capable of. My pc does something funny when I change settings in bios and try to save it, everytime when it's restarting, it seems like it will start and shut down automatically exact 3 times before it truly start but all the settings are unsaved, so i keep trying but what I just mentioned keeps happening and eventually I gave up and went to sleep. When I wake up this morning and boot my pc up, the monitor is blackscreen but everything else seem to work fine.

So far I've tried:

Hi guys, I'm not too much of a tech savvy so I won't understand everything but I'd like to thank everyone in advance for any support I can get.
Recently the PC that I built on mostly second hand components is failing to send signals to my monitor. Everything had been working perfectly for the past 6 months. When booting up, I am able to see the windows icon for a bit and access bios but afterwards, a black screen followed by a blue box displaying "No signal detected" occurs. This began occurring about a week ago but I could bypass it by restarting my PC multiple times until it booted normally. Until now however, it does not seem to start up at all and I only see "No signal detected".
I began by checking the inside of my PC and seeing that everything was where it was supposed to be and plugged in. Next, I reinstalled my graphics card to see if it would change anything (it didn't). A friend offered advice claiming that the issue could be driver related so I decided to try and boot into safe mode to uninstall my drivers and reinstall them. I couldn't access the windows troubleshoot page on start up (shift+f8) and I searched up methods to boot into safe mode. With the amount of access I had, I decided that I needed Windows 10 ISO on USB so I could manually go into the repair menu. I plugged the USB (Kingston DataTraveller 2.0) in and tried to boot from it manually through bios but I continued to receive the error. I've thought abo... Read more

I'm building a new computer and I was able to install all my hardware properly and then decided to try and boot the computer and install the OS.

The main problem is that I'm getting a black screen on my monitor. Rather. The monitor isn't receiving any signal and simply going to standby. To be honest, I'm not really sure what's wrong. I tried this on two monitors (22" CRT by Ikegami and a 19 LCD by Acer).

Everything is hooked up to the power supply, every fan is running properly. From the looks of it, it looks like it's running well. Could there be any other reason why my computer isn't sending any signals?

Random information:
The CD drive works in that, it can open and close, though I think it's just purely a power thing.

I've hooked up HDA (as opposed to AC'97) power from the tower to the mother board.

The 4850 is in the PCI 2.0 X16 slot that the manual considers "optimal" for a single VGA card (blue). I'm thinking of switching it over to the black to see if there's a difference.

I'm not hearing any BIOS beep codes. In fact, there's no beep at all.

Hello

I've been having problems with my pc lately. when under load, suddenly monitor says no signal and gpu fans go at full speed (like when it does when you don't connect 12v atx's correctly) including the second one which only starts working after a certain heat level and leaving me with having to restart it.

I feel like frequency of this happening is getting rather quick. But it might be because i am stress testing on another game, so don't quote me on that, just keep in mind.

I considered psu problems, but have no ability to test it.

Also got to mention this is probably not a heat issue. Heat doesn't gradually build up, case fans don't go to %100 before this happens.

My pc isn't new, it's been working perfectly for a couple of years. Here are the specs

-Sapphire hd radeon 7950
-I7 3770k
-Corsair VS650 - 650w
-Motherboard is pegatron ipx-something, it really doesn't matter. I know it's horrible.
-8gb of ram

Thank you for your assistance!

OS: Windows XP SP3 on several client machines.
Microsoft Outlook Express 6 and Outlook 2000.

Computers stopped receiving emails around Saturday (best guess, as the office is generally unoccupied on weekends).

The Email is a POP3 email server located off site. The email provider has proved that the requests to download mail are getting through, and that the mail is being sent. Emails do not arrive on any machine except one. All accounts have identical settings (except login credentials which have all been verified) Accounts do not matter, as I have recreated and copied account data over from one machine to another. All accounts activated on the one working machine work. Any account activated on the non working machines don't. There are no error notifications when sending and receiving.

All users who have auxiliary devices (Blackberry, smart phone, iPhone, iPad, etc) can reach their email, and mail has been verified on the web client. The company isn't down 100%, but it is extremely inefficient to use the web client in this case. Not every user who can not receive mail has an auxiliary device.

I have spoken with the ISP as they recently enacted some changes to remedy piggy backing on their mail servers without being a client, however, they insist the problem must exist between the mail server and clients. The mail provider insists the problem must be with the isp. I'm a little at a loss here as to my next steps for troubleshooting. This company is highly reliant u... Read more

Best guess is that the ISP has started blocking port 25 for POP3 Email. Contact ISP to confirm. Test the Email by sending an email to yourself. They probably changed the SMTP port for sending Email as well. Or they require encryption.

Hi munchkincoupe,

Welcome to Vista Forums!

Since the serious problem just started yesterday, let's see if a System Restore will resolve it. Do you know when this problem began? Try a System Restore to a point in time BEFORE the problem began. Here's the procedure: http://www.vistax64.com/tutorials/76905-system-restore-how.html. Be sure to check the box to show more than 5 days of restore points. If the first attempt fails, then try an earlier point or two. NOTE: You will have to re-install any software and updates you installed and uninstall any software you removed between now and the restore point, but you can use Windows Update for the updates.

As far as the other issues (error messages) go, I strongly recommend you contact your e-mail provider (presumably ntlworld.com) and get them to walk you through the Windows Mail settings as it seems something is not configured properly. I'm frankly surprised it was working at all (let alone fine until yesterday) with those error messages appearing. They should be able to provide the proper settings to eliminate the messages (and quite possibly resolve the problem).

I hope this helps.

Good luck!

Reset the bios. This may be a video card issue as well. Borrow a PIC-e Video card from someone and try using it, see if the monitor turns on.

Hi all. So I have a fairly new system that my friend put together for me last month. It has been working fine up until this morning, when I booted it up and the monitor stayed in sleep mode. The rest of the computer seems to be running fine... as in lights, fans, etc. I opened it up and made sure everything was connected. Also tried to boot with only one stick of RAM in. Any suggestions on what this could be?

Specs:

AMD Phenom 9500 Quad Core Processor 2.2GHZ 4MB 95W Socket AM2+
ASUS M3A ATX AM2+ AMD 770 DDR2 PCI-E16 2PCI-E1 3PCI SATA2 RAID Sound Motherboard
OCZ Gold XTC PC2-6400 2GB 2X1GB DDR2-800 CL5-5-5-12 240PIN DIMM Dual Channel Memory Kit
Seagate Barracuda 7200.10 160GB Hard Drive SATA2 7200RPM 11MS 8MB Cache 5YR MFR Warranty
Western Digital Caviar SE16 250GB SATA2 7200RPM 16MB 8.9MS Hard Drive 3 Year MFR Warranty
Coolermaster Real Power 750W ATX 12V V2.2 SLI Active PFC 80PLUS Power Supply 120MM Fan
And I beleive the video card, which I got from my friend, is a Nvidia GeForce 7600 GS

Thanks

A:Monitor not receiving signal

Try booting from a Cold Boot to SAFE MODE by pressing the <F8> key once per second as soon as you press the on button.
If you get something on the screen is safe mode, the problem is likely in the Video graphics socket or the video graphics driver.
Alternately, bring in a regular known working CFT monitor to see if you have a signal there.
You know it is probably either a monitor or a video graphics card, but still there can be a memory problem or a hard drive error that will cause this problem.
Until you know more, both the nVidia GeForce 7600 GS and the monitor are suspects.

Computer looks to be booting fine. I can hear the hard drive spin and the HDD light comes on (it comes on solid and doesn't flash though). Monitor never powers up though and stays in the sleep mode with the orange LED light. This happened out of the blue this morning when I turned on the computer. The onboard sound card died about 2 months ago and computer still worked fine. I know its not the video card, I have cycled through my old pci express cards. My question is do you guys think it?s the Mobo or the CPU. I don't have access to a testing kit and can't remember if the monitor ever fired with out a cpu socketed in the board. I just need to know which part to send in for the warranty and if anyone found a tweak to fix this problem. Thanks for the help guys!!

The problem:

We have an HP Pavilion (about 3 years old, almost all original parts) running XP. It was working perfectly earlier today, and was left on for several hours while downloading a file. When I returned, the monitor had gone idle, and all attempts to wake up the computer would not bring a signal back to the monitor. I turned the computer on and off, the monitor on and off, unplugged both, checked the cables, but nothing brought a signal to the screen. The lights and fan on the computer are still turning on, so the computer is definitely powered up, but I don't get anything on the monitor at all other than a "no signal" message.
The details:

I have attempted the "unplug it, hold the power button for 30 seconds, turn it back on" trick, but to no avail.

I have tried leaving everything alone to cool for periods longer than 30 minutes, but that does not work.

When I turn the computer on now, it seems to false-start (the fan whirs for a second or two and then stops), and then it begins to seemingly start normally (meaning the fans and lights seem normal). It didn't do this previously, so I am guessing this is a clue as to what is going on, but I don't know what it means.

I have tried letting the computer sit on for several minutes and then I attempt to press ctrl-alt-del repeatedly to see if it will make the machine restart, but it does not. This suggests to me that whatever is going on goes beyond just the computer-to-monitor relat... Read more

Hey guys, for the past four years I've been running this computer, along with a 1024x768 Curtis monitor and a 1280x720 Vizio monitor. Up until now, I've had absolutely no problems with the dual monitor setup, both running off the GeForce 610.

Yesterday, however, the Vizio monitor, connected via HDMI, randomly stopped receiving input. The Curtis monitor (connected via VGA) still works fine.

What I've tried:

- Rebooting my computer, nothing. (I rebooted after all of the following attempts as well)
- Going to Screen Resolution and manually detecting another monitor. Nothing was detected.
- Going to Device Manager and scanning for hardware changes. Only the VGA monitor is listed as a "Generic Non-PnP Monitor", nothing about the HDMI monitor.
- Updating graphics drivers. I used the built in Windows driver updater, nothing. I used NVIDIA's site and downloaded the recommended driver, nothing.
- Switched the cables between the two monitors, the VGA monitor works while the HDMI monitor does not.
- Tested the HDMI cable with an Xbox, works fine (cable is working).
- System Restore to several days ago when both monitors worked, nothing.
- Booting in safe mode, nothing. (don't think this would work anyway... I tried...)
- Removing and cleaning graphics card, nothing.
- Attempting to detect the monitor via NVIDIA Control Panel, nothing.
(from here on out is random desperation, I really have no idea what's wrong)
- Running sfc /scannow in the admin console finds corrupt file... Read more

Computer was running fine, So i reopen world of warcraft as soon as i got to the loading screen my monitor had the flash of red again. I restarted to computer, this time I tried to turn the computer back on the monitor wasn't recieving any any signal. I tried several more times and same thing. I tried wiggling, taking the cord in and out and still nothing.

Also to add Every time it boots its goes into sleep mode after telling me it isn't getting a signal from my computer, So I doubt it is my cable.

I have also now tried different monitors and cables. This computer is about 3 years old, Its a Dell xps 420 and has been working fine intil now.

Hello, I've been building my first computer and I've finally gotten everything all hooked up properly. I checked that everything is plugged in(some things weren't, problem still persisted after fixing). Basically I turn on the computer for the first time), with the bare minimum things plugged in. It turns on fine, fans and stuff start running. The monitor is also getting power.

What happens is that the monitor just gets a no input signal-going to sleep message and goes to sleep. I have the OS disk in, and hit delete on the keyboard like im supposed to(confirmed keyboard is working). Not sure what to do in this situation.

Another thing, on my now previous computer if you dident press anything/click mouse the monitor just gives the same message and goes to sleep until you do so. Currently the mouse cannot be used to click (it does work, it flashes every now and then).

If you want to know what kinds of parts I have just ask. Any suggestions on what the problem is or what I can do?

I recently installed a new hard drive in my computer and got the computer up and running. I installed Windows 98(2nd ed.) and I decided to take a break, so I shut the computer down for a few minutes and when I turned it back on, the Monitor was not receiving a signal. I had another computer here so I hooked it up to the monitor and turned it on and it worked fine. I know by that, that there isn't a problem with the Monitor, it is something with the computer. Someone suggested that the video card went out, could this be the problem?? If so, the video card is built into the motherboard, can I buy another video card that would be installed into a PCI slot or do I have to replace the motherboard???? Please HELP!!

A:Monitor not receiving signal--video card???

If it has the video built into the motherboard, you will need to install the driver for that. You should have a system disk that came with the motherboard to do just that. If not we will need to know what motherboard you have to help you find the driver.

If it is a name brand computer the make and model number may be enough to find it.

I have a new ASUS computer with Windows 10. (Purchased Dec. 2018)
I have tried to hook up to projectors and TVs via HDMI cable (new) and it won?t send a display.
All drivers are up-to-date.
when I go into the display manager, it shows 2 screens but says it can?t detect. When I go into the device manager, the TV brand and such shows up under the audio devices, but only as ?generic monitor? under monitors.

My old laptop works with everything on the same cable.
I?ve also tried switching monitor views by toggling the function keys, but I still have the same results.

I'm having problems connecting some devices (android apps) to my computer via my wi-fi. I am usually able to solve the problem by running network diagnostics, but after awhile, I'll start having network connectivity problems again.

Whenever I run diagnostics in these situations, this error is shown in Event Viewer

"WLAN Extensibility Module has stopped.

Module Path: C:\Windows\system32\athihvs."

I also receive the error (in event viewer) on a fairly regular basis:

"Your computer was not assigned an address from the network (by the DHCP Server) for the Network Card with network address 0x2225D3CC6415. The following error occurred: 0x79. Your computer will continue to try and obtain an address on its own from the network address (DHCP) server."
I have checked, and my router and WLAN card drivers are both up to date.
I'm wondering if these errors are what is causing my app to lose connection, and what I could do to solve the problems. Thanks.

A:Receiving warning "WLAN Extensibility Module has stopped." in Event Viewer each time I diagnose wireless connection

It may have more to do with the firmware for your wireless adapter than it has to do with the drivers.
Check your PC or laptop manufacturer's website for a firmware update for the wireless adapter.

If they don't have one, check the wireless adapter manufacturer's website instead.

Well this is a weird one..It started a few days ago and its really starting to bug me now. Let me try to explain. My monitor says "No signal detected" whenever I open certain programs, these programs for example include "Azureus" "Spybot S&D updater" and "Need for Speed : Pro Street"

I consider myself quite able with computers and havent had any problems in 5 years. Virus is most likely out of the question..Also worth noting these programs DO run in safe mode.

I have tried setting compability modes but to no avail. I recently purchaced a new GFX card and Powersupply for it, along with a new monitor that uses DVI, I tried using the monitor in VGA but I get the 2same problems. The card itself is also working perfect, I can run graphically intensive games all night long without any problems. I ran MEMTEST to check if my RAM is faulty but no, nothing..also weird that it's always the same damn programs. Would be worth noting also that Need for Speed pro street opens in a DOS window and small resolution before ultimately crashing and causing the "No signal detected problem"

What do you guys suggest me to try ? I already am running SP2 with all the updates, drivers for the GFX card are new and I have tried different ones too. I understand the problem with the game could be that it doesn't support my card BUT when the official patch for the game also makes me crash something funny is about. First of all, here are some specifications:

MOTHERBOARD: (ASUS P5GC-MX/1333)
PROCESSOR: (Intel Core 2 Duo E4600 (2.4 GHz))
RAM: (2X 512 MB DDR2-667/533/400, PC2-5300)
VIDEO CARD: RADEON X1650 PRO (PCI-E) 512 MB
POWER SUPPLY: 550W

So I bought the motherboard, processor, ram and powersupply new a few months ago and finally got around to building the PC. I've built
PCs before but I followed the instructions anyway and made sure all the connections were made in the right places. But my CRT monitor (my LCD is broken at the moment) is not receiving the video signal from either the onboard VGA or the PCI-E card (which I bought new a couple of years ago).
I tried removing and reinserting the RAM, removing everything nonessential, removing and reinserting the CMOS battery and clearing the BIOS (forgive my improper terminological grammar) and nothing seems to be working. I don't hear any beeps or sounds at all and the monitor light simply blinks as it does when the computer is off. I tried using my older motherboard (ABIT IP-95) and the CRT receives the signal from both the onboard VGA as well as the PCI-E from that one. There is a light on the motherboard which lights up to confirm that it is receiving power.
So what's the problem here?
I should mention one other thing too because it may or may not be related: When using my older motherboard, the computer boots to the Windows Vista screen and even occasionally lets me use Windows for a little while (5-10 mins) but the... Read more

When I boot my computer, everything appears normal until I reach the login screen. The instant the Windows Vista logo would appear, the screen goes black because it has stopped receiving a signal. I had this problem once before, about a month ago, but solved it by re-inserting the Graphics card.

So far I have tried: re-inserting the graphics card, which did nothing; booting in safe mode, which worked, (I'm using it with networking now); and re-installing the graphics driver, which failed because it, "failed to load the detection driver"-assumably because I'm in safe mode.

Changes since the last successful boot: none relevant except, perhaps, installing the mp3 codecs for Audacity. Last session I beat Portal 2, used firefox (just browsing...facebook, google, and links from google, no downloads), used ITunes, used Audacity (clipping and exporting mp3 files), and probably used several other minor tools, such as 7-Zip and notepad. I did not change any settings.

I suspect it is a hardware related issue because last time I encountered this error, that was the problem, and I can't think of a single recent software change that could've caused this. So, awesome techy people of this forum, what should I do to try and fix this problem?

System Specs:
OS: Windows Vista 64 bit

Hello. I use Microsoft Outlook to read my personal emails and my business emails. My ISP is Charter Communications, and my business email account is set up through Make-A-Store's Qmail. Last Friday it started taking 10-12 hours to receive business emails, today I received a few emails sent 36 hours ago, and some business emails I am not receiving at all. I sent some emails from my personal account to my business account and some I received 12 hours later while others were never received (and those returned emails came with an error message stating the destination computer could not be found).

I spoke with Charter and they said it would be a Microsoft Outlook issue. My personal account (which does not use Qmail, just Charter) seems to be working fine, and I can SEND emails from my business account, it's just receiving them that is the issue. My incoming mail uses the account set up through Qmail, while my outgoing mail uses Charter. I have two computers in two different locations that receive the business emails, both using Qmail/Charter/Outlook, and I neither is receiving the business emails (or receiving them 12+ hours later).

Thinking through it and as I write it out, it seems that it would be a Qmail issue, but I'm not an IT specialist, so I could be missing something. I would greatly appreciate any thoughts or suggestions on this issue. I own an online store so it's unnerving to think that customers are trying to write and are receiving emails stati... Read more

It was very annoying so I asked a friend and told me to disable it in BIOS and I did. Immediately after I did that, the PC stopped sending anything to the monitor. I tried two other monitor to no avail. I also tried an older PCI express Video Card and a newer one and got no reception still even though all the light indicators tells me that the PC is on.
