Have both HDMI and USB connected to 2710 and Acer T272HL touchscreen LED. Monitor works fine but touch does not work. Set up as extended display, tried all the tablet PC settings which do not work. Any help appreciated as I want the 2710 AND the external Acer touchscreen monitor to work as touch as well.
I recommend downloading and running Reimage. It's a computer repair tool that has been proven to identify and fix many Windows problems with a high level of success.
I've used it in the past to identify and fix everything from blue screens (BSOD's), ActiveX errors, corrupt files and processes, dll/exe/sys errors, recover lost memory, Windows update problems, defragging, malware removal etc.
You can download it direct from this link http://downloadreimage.com/download.php. (This link will automatically start a download of Reimage that you can save to your computer.)
Bought two new QNIX 2710's and cant seem to get both to display with my EVGA 04G-P4-3975-KR GeForce GTX 970 SSC ACX 2.0+ 4 Graphics card. I never had an issue with my two samsungs and even a third tablet monitor to boot, but these two new ones dont work together but only the one which is hooked up to the DVI (and only DVI port available) on the card.
Ive tried both display port and HDMI adaptors what connect with a DVI cable and both are No go's. Getting frustrated here, and am new to this brand of monitors....will a dual dvi splitter cable work? Any solutions for this newbie would be much appreciated! Thanks!
I have an XPS One 2710. The hard drive has been removed and now I just want to use it only as a monitor. I was able to get it to work with my laptop after going through the bios and exiting. Then I switched the input on the touch screen to HDMI. I then tried to hook it up to a PC and now it just beeps and I have no choice to shut it down. The monitor will not boot up and it beeps loudly.
Can I disable the PC speaker?
I have a theater room with a projector as my main display. I have recently bought an old Mimo UM-740 7" touchscreen. I have it working as a secondary display, problem is, the touch screen is moving the mouse on the main display.
Is there a way to have just the touchscreen have touch features and not act as a track pad for the main display??
Ideally, I will have a media player on the main screen, and be able to select videos/music to play from the 7" touchscreen.
Please help. Thanks.
I am currently using a laptop connected to my tv. The tv monitor is my primary display and the laptop screen is my secondary, they are extended to each other.
I am planning to add a third monitor and was thinking of making it touch screen. Would this work? Everything I have read says that if you use a touch screen it has to be the primary display.
Even better would be if I could not have to extend all 3 monitors together and keep my first 2 extended to each other and have the third(touch screen) just run the 1 program I want to use it for.
Sorry if that didnt make alot of sense, Im having trouble trying to word what im trying to ask.
First things first, does your laptop video card support 3 monitors? Just because it has 3 monitor connectors doesn't mean it can actually run three monitors. You didn't give any system info or fill in your system specs in your profile so its hard to give accurate advise.Read other 3 answers
I am new to this forum and apologise if this is a silly question (I have searched the forum already but not found the answer).
I have a new Samsung laptop which came with Windows 7 operating system. If I buy an HP 2310ti touchscreen monitor and connect it to the laptop will its touchscreen facility work or would it effectively just become a normal screen with the touchscreen functionality disabled?
(Just to clarify I am obviously not expecting it to suddenly convert the laptop sreen into touchscreen!?!?!?!?! I am just not sure if the touchscreen functionality on the external monitor will be available with my existing laptop.)
Thanks in advance for any help.
I would think it will work as a touch screen.Read other 1 answers
I have the HP ENVY 23- All-In-One Touchscreen w/no tower. I would like to add an additional monitor for work purposes to drag multiple screens from the desktop - in order to utilize multiple program systems w/o having a condensed page to view. The second screen will not be touchscreen. I noticed that the Envy monitor only has an HDMI IN port w/multipe USB ports?? What do I need to run the addtional monitor as far as cables/connectors and do I have to download anything else along with purchasing wires/cables? I am running Window 10(64-bit). Please help!!
Hi, Many HP Envy machines have HDMI OUT port. In your case, please use USB-HDMI or USB-DVI adapter such as: http://www.jaycar.com.au/usb-3-0-converter-to-hdmi-1080p/p/XC4973 Regards.Read other 1 answers

I have been trying to get an 8" touchscreen monitor working with my A 200. There are no problems with seeing it etc. The problem I'm having is that when the system is toggled between the notebook and Monitor, the Touchscreen reverts back to the notebook graphics settings (1024 x 768).
I'm trying to run the Touchscreen at 800 x 600 and notebook at 1024 x 768. How do set the system so it will remember the settings?
The Toshiba European driver page provides drivers for Prot?g? A200? they are placed in Archive.
I checked this and found a Display Service for external Monitor.
I recommend installing this.
Furthermore the notebook seems to use the 852GM internal graphic chip. It?s from Intel.
So maybe you should update the display driver too.
Last but not least check if you are using the latest BIOS.
Hi, I have a 2 system computer and one system is a media centre now I have a 7" drive bay monitor which is cool, but I want a good full screen and stylish audio player that I can use on it.

Has anyone got any ideas?
I use a Planar PX2230 touchscreen monitor with 64-bit Win7. The problem I have is that the touchscreen works great for approximately 10 minutes and then stops responding. I have read elsewhere that this exact same condition has affected other touchscreen
models, but no one has offered a working solution. The only two options are 1) reboot or 2) unplug and plug in the USB cable.
Other pertinent information: The Planar support website stipulates that this monitor is designed
only for Windows 7 and is "HID compliant - no drivers needed for touchscreen operation" (which I guess if it only works for ten minutes at a time, technically they are correct). I am not using multiple monitors/extended desktop.
What has not worked: turning monitor on and off, replacing the USB cable (shorter cable), updating video drivers (none available), turning off power saving, going into Power Options and switching the "USB selective suspend" setting to either setting (neither
makes a difference). Lastly, device manager does not show any issues after the screen stops responding.
I've been living with reinserting the USB cable for a while now since it is not my primary workstation but in the time I've been using this workaround I really thought I would see a solution by now.
Have you discussed this issue with Planar technical support?

I have installed Windows 10 on my computer and have all of the latest drivers for all of my products. On the monitor however, even though it is a touchscreen model, it doesn not show up in Windows' "Pen and Touch Devices", AND there is not option to turn on the touchscreen in the HID driver section of the Device Manager. Is this monitor touchscreen compatible with Windows 10? Which driver could I be missing? So I've had this happen countless times. The touchscreen stops working. The laptop is in perfect conditions. The screen, not even a scratch. I format the laptop, it still doesn' work. So, I've always fixed it by installing the AUO Touchscreen Firmware/ sp63116.exe from:http://support.hp.com/mx-es/drivers/selfservice/hp-pavilion-14-f000-sleekbook/5375393/model/5403360#... My problem atm is that this time, that process isn't working. The installer opens, installs the thing, then the program opens and immediately closes. This prompts windows to ask me if the driver installed correctly or that if it should attempt to install under a compatibility mode. No matter which I choose, it still does the same thing. It won't stay open for more than 1 second. I've restored my laptop to factory presets a couple times already and the touchscreen isn't working yet because the driver/program/wizard thingy refuses to stay open after it is done installing. Can anybody help me? Perhaps share a different version of the installer? Thank you.

SOme info about the laptop. Product Name: Sleekbook HP Pavilion 14-f004lOperating System: Microsoft Windows 8 (64-bit) I've had this problem a couple times already. The touchscreen stops working sporadically and the only way to make it work again is installing the AUO Touchscreen Firmware/ sp63116.exe driver from this site. however this last time I've run into quite the weird problem. The driver installer CLOSES INMEDIATELY BEFORE I CAN DO ANYTHING A couple months ago I posted this:http://h30434.www3.hp.com/t5/Notebook-Video-Display-and-Touch/AUO-Touchscreen-Firmware-installer-doe... Since then due to time constrains and schoolwork, I did not attempt to restore the BIOS until today.Today I restored the BIOS, followed all procedures they gave me, and the installer for the Touchscreen firmware does the following: -Runs-Asks for permission-Install it-Finishes installing-Runs the program's window-Inmediately closes, I can't even click on anything because it flashes for a second and disappears. I've already restored the laptop to factory presets. The installer DOES THE SAME THINGRestored the BIOS. The installer DOES THE SAME THING So please, do not tell me to restore the laptop. I've done it already. Doesn't work. Same thing for the BIOS. Nothing. Can anyone help me? Thank youRead other answers

I recently acquired a HP Pavilion all in one pc but there seem to be problems with the touchscreen. It registered touches very intermittently, and not always where I touched. First thing I tried was to calibrate it. But it just wouldn't register certain touches in some of the places it wanted me to press. Nest i Reset everything to factory settings, still not working same probs. Installed all the latest drivers and updates, no joy. But one morning I did turn it on and it worked perfectly. For half a day and then it was up to its old tricks.
Took it to a computer shop and they said it needed a new touchscreen card. Basically I want to know, do these touchscreen sort of devices have a piece of hardware, the card, specifically for touchscreen. or is he lying to me and its some software problem he could fix in ten minutes. He's quoting around £40for the card. And another £20-£30 for the labour. Any help would be much appreciated. If there is a card just for the touchscreen then I could believe him. But ive never heard of a card just for that. Any help would be so much appreciated. Had this around 3 weeks for my daughter to use the touchscreen as shes too young for mouse and keyboard, but she'd like a number of touchscreen games as she's very adept at using touchscreen on her tablet. Thanks and sorry for the long post.

Is there an HDMI to D-Sub cable? I can't imagine the USB will be able to carry it. The output from from the PS3 is bog standard.
any thoughts or help welocme as ever!
HDMI to VGA, there are cables and adapters out there, so yes it can work.
What about sound?
Can anyone help me with connecting a second monitor to my first? Also what cable will I need and is there any configuring to do when 2 screens in operation. I want to finish a a wordpress website on one monitor but have instructions/ tools shown on second monitor? thanks.
For 2 monitors you need a video card with 2 outputs (and supports dual screen). Check what type the unused socket is (HDMI, DVI etc), get a 2nd monitor that has that socket and buy a suitable cable. After connecting the 2nd monitor, right click the screen and open screen resolution. There you can set the displays to extend and you will be able to drag a window from one monitor to the other.Read other 6 answers

Would a simple RGB splitter work if I wanted my PC to work with my TV and PC, my TV already has the available RGB input so I'm able to connect it directly already. However, I would like to possibly either, swap, between my TV and Monitor without having to move the cable around everytime. Is it possible to either, have some sort of splitter where I can just throw a switch? Or maybe even somehow simply have them work together all at once?
Have you already tried connecting the TV to the PC so that you are sure it works? What kind of output connector do you have on the PC?
Here is an example of a switch for RCA-type connectors.
Erm, my CPU seems unalble to connect to the monitor for no reasons. It happened recently tho. The screen just goes to sleep and not react when i turn on my CPU.
Any way i can fix this? Using Windows Vista 32bit wif 1gig of ram made by HP.
This happened after my CPU gave off a weird beeping sound when it booted. Tho now there arent any beepings.
by the way CPU stands for 'central processing unit'.
do you know the rhythm of the beeping when your hp wouldn't start up?
if something is wrong with the system, the computer will emit a series of beeps as you said to diagnose the problem.
If any you hear any beeps, try and remember the rhythm.
I hope every one is doing great.
I got a small problem which is to extend my desktop into second monitor.
I used to do that in windows XP it was so simple, how ever it seems I got hard time doing it on Vista even thought I never did it on vista before.
I went to Control Panel > Personalization > Display settings, it shows only 1 monitor and saying "(Multiple Monitors) on NVIDIA..."
I'm using Vista-64Bit. And on SLI mode and plugged the 2 monitors on the same graphic card.
I tried Ultramon 3.0.3 but there still a problem, Ultramon detects only one monitor when I'm trying to use the second.
I've been trying to do it in Nvidia software. How ever I ended up switching between monitors only.
I tried to search around and ask around for more than 4 hours, And still no good.
Hope some one could help me to fix this problem, any hints or tips are very welcome.
Thanks in advance, and happy new year
Not sure which one it was, but Nvidia only just recently added dual monitor support in their latest drivers (someone will be along to tell you which). Other than that if you want to run dual monitors with two Nvidia cards, you need to disable SLI.Read other 7 answers
I work from home and find a second monitor is almost a "must". (It is mostly text. Not a lot of graphics.) Lightening took out the Ethernet port and vga port on my computer. Is there a not too expensive way to connect my second monitor that uses a 15 pin vga to the hdmi or usb ports on my computer. The funds are not available to buy a new laptop and I'm afraid that the cost of replacing the ports will be almost as bad.
Hopefully, someone here will have a suggestion. Pretty please!

When you say "windows can't detect it" you mean in the Screen Resolution window using the "Detect" button?

Anyway, in the future I'd like to connect a Wii U to my monitor. Unfortunately, it does not have an HDMI port so I am going to use my VGA port. This cable would definitely make the connection http://www.ebay.com/itm/NEW-6-FT-LO...176?pt=LH_DefaultDomain_0&hash=item3f23596a80 but my problem is that people keep saying that a cable like that can NOT transfer audio from the Wii U.
Now, the real reason why I'm asking is because I recently had an Xbox 360 connected to the same VGA monitor and THE SOUND WORKED because the monitor has its own sound (sound from the monitor itself, not speakers). You see though, I don't believe the Xbox 360 uses an HDMI connection so that alone makes me wonder what the Wii U will do. I have been Googling all day just for people to say "yes" and "no" to the same question. SO:
WILL THE VGA TO HDMI CABLE TRANSFER AUDIO ALONG WITH VIDEO WHEN CONNECTED TO A VGA MONITOR THAT HAS ITS OWN SOUND?
