Preferred Solution: Horrible! runtime error 372 vbalgrid, can't run mbytes, computer out of wack, asd.exe please help!

I recommend downloading and running Reimage. It's a computer repair tool that has been proven to identify and fix many Windows problems with a high level of success.

I've used it in the past to identify and fix everything from blue screens (BSOD's), ActiveX errors, corrupt files and processes, dll/exe/sys errors, recover lost memory, Windows update problems, defragging, malware removal etc.

You can download it direct from this link http://downloadreimage.com/download.php. (This link will automatically start a download of Reimage that you can save to your computer.)

Hello everyone!

Recently I have noticed my computer is not running as fast as it has been in the past week. I checked around, and then began to notice that my start bar no longer displayed my internet tabs and activities. Upon further inspection, I decided to run MBAM. However, when I get to MBAM to open it, i get a run time error 372, which states "Run-time error '372':Failed to load control 'vbalGrid' from vbalsgrid6.ocx. Your version of vbalsgrid6.ocx may be outdated. Make sure you are using the version of the control that was provided with your application." I'm not aware of any downloads that are suspicious and have not visited any websites that are new from those I usually visit, so any help would be appreciated!

Hi there! Thanks for taking the time to look at this. I'm having a problem. My anti virus program said it found some problems. I did a scan with it and it found some stuff. I removed the problems and shut my computer down and went home. That was Saturday. I came back Monday and had a BSOD of 0x000006b. I ended up just trying to reinstall windows and when I did that it magically fixed something and XP came back up and I could log in. Now I can't run MalwareBytes or see my taskbar or any open programs unless I do the Ctrl + Alt + Del. Anyway. I can't cut, copy or paste either. I know other things have come up but those are the main ones. Oh, and when I do try and run MalwareBytes I get the error message "runtime error 372" Then, Failed to load control "vbalGrid" from vbalsgrid.ocx. Your version of vbalsgrid.ocx may be out dated. Hi there,

Would you be able to post all results in English?

Save it to your desktop.
Doubleclick on the HijackThis.exe icon on your desktop.
Click on Install.
Once installed, it will launch Hijackthis.
Click on the Do a system scan and save a logfile button. It will scan and the log should open in notepad.
Click on "Edit > Select All" then click on "Edit > Copy" to copy the entire contents of the log.
Come back here to this thread and Paste the log in your next reply.
DO NOT have Hijackthis fix anything yet. Most of what it finds will be harmless or even required.

But we will examine that possibility later, depending on what we find out in your next post. For the time being, I will leave your HJT data intact, rather than removing such. HJT logs are handled in one of our malware forums...rather than move you to one of those, a quick exploration of possibly system issues seems expedient in your case.Louis

Hi Everyone,I'm new to this site and I was hoping that I could get some help with my computer. My apologies ahead of time but I'm not the most computer literate person so if my topic title/introduction have been done wrong please let me know. What do I need in order to fix this problem? This pop-up message appears when I patched my game

A:Microsoft Visual C++ Runtime Library Runtime Error" error message

According to the error message the application (the patch you installed) isn't working right and for you to contact the folks who made the patch. I'm guessing that would be the support team for Audition Dance Battle or perhaps the support folks for all of e-games.com.ph

::E-Games - Audition Dance Battle::

E-Games Portal

Let them know exactly what the error message says, the specific ID number for the patch you installed, specific info about your computer (make, model, version of Windows you're using, amount of RAM, CPU, etc) so they can figure out what's wrong. In the meantime, you could try uninstalling the patch while waiting for a response. Sorry I can't be more help.

Sorry for my poor english in advance.

Here's the problem, i played on my laptop yesterday with winamp and msn messenger on, i was playing World of Warcraft. I think i used alot of processor power, and the computer froze, so i shut it down manually. I waited a few hours to let it cool down because it was very hot. So i came back after a few hours and it was cooled off. I started the computer, it didn't sound any different, the loading for XP came up fine, and it loaded up the desktop for a few seconds and then a 2-3 errors came up and i only saw 1 and it was Runtime Error, but don't know what the error was from (what program it was for). So i asked for some help from some friends and they said i should start the computer in Safe Mode, so i did. Didn't help, the computer crashed again. Tried using my System Recovery CD, it crashed again. And i tried repairing with the Windows XP CD, with no success. And the last time i started it, i came to the desktop and the mouse went haywire without me touching it, it looked like it was clicking stuff almost, so im thinking it's a virus. Im not sure, that's why im here to get some help.

I really hope to get some help, because that's the only good computer i use, this one im using now can hardly open a folder without exploding ^^

Thanks for reading, hope to get some answers here :)

Greetings,
Due to an error with Windows Update ["WindowsUpdate_8024001F" "WindowsUpdate_dt000" which 'magically' fixed itself after a number of rebooting because of the the runtime error mentioning here] I performed a clean boot following the steps
mentioned here: https://support.microsoft.com/en-us/help/929135/how-to-perform-a-clean-boot-in-windows
Normally, upon restarting, I am brought to the login screen with my user icon, and after entering my password I am able to log on.
Upon restarting after configuring msconfig.exe for a clean boot, I am stopped at the login screen. My user icon and the password field does not load, and after about 30~50 seconds, the Microsoft Visual C++ Runtime Library Runtime Error window pops
up. If I press OK, the error window disappears but the user icon and password field does not appear. Wait another 30~50 seconds, the  Microsoft Visual C++ Runtime Library Runtime Error window appears again. This seem to repeat endlessly.
EDIT: I have never had runtime error before, and the error isn't popping up again, unless i configure for clean boot.

I was able to log back in by reverting the changes in msconfig.exe during Safe Mode, and so that is not my question.

I want to ask, what are some possible reasons for this error window?

There is very little to clean up in your log, but we will get to that.

The first thing I'd like you to try is disabling the Google Toolbar.
That might stop the error for you.

Let me know how that goes.

I have Windows 7 Home Pro and Windows 8 Pro installed on 2 separate partitions on my laptop.
Every time I switch from windows 7 to windows 8. W8 boots up and I have this error when I log in.
"Microsoft Visual C++ Runtime Library"
Runtime Error
My graphics card is an Amd HD4330. I use the drivers that W8 installed.
I completely unistalled CCC since I thought this is what was causing the error. However I still have CCC installed in W7.
I would really appreciate if you could help me solve this problem as it is very annoying. I get that error every time I log in.

Hello Tech Guys! I came this site because I was so skillfully helped about four years ago dealing with another windows issue. The site looks great.

I am not computer illiterate, but advanced I am not either. I installed Microsoft Office 2007and Microsoft Desktop Search yesterday. I didn't like Desktop Search and uninstalled it. I also changed some start up configurations with msconfig. This morning when restarting my computer an error message came up:

___________________________________________________________________

Microsoft Visual C++ Runtime Library

Runtime Error
Program c:\Program Files\Common Files\Symantec Shared\ccSvcHst.exe

R6025

Pure Virtual Function Call

___________________________________________________________________
I have ran norton and it works fine. Once I click OK on the error and the Norton box on the toolbar disappears. Then I click on the icon and it comes back up. I don't know if this is a problem or not.

I have run a full scan, windoc, and a couple other programs to rid the registry files. I ran RegCure and ParetoLogic. Maybe I am making a mountain out of a molehill, but it does run a little slower at start up and always gives that error message.

Also when I look at Windows Task Manager, the svchost.exe (system) sometimes is running at 58,000K to 27,000K. Is that right?

Let me know what you think and what I should do. I want to thank you in advance for just being such a great tool in our internet world. Taylor

The typical issues that im reading on this Vbalgrid error. I have no taskbar, cannot access IE, and other issues.
I was attempting to upgrade to xp windows service pack 3 (currently on 2). After several attempts i kept getting access denied in the middle of trying to update. Off the microsoft site i found instructions to create a registry reset.cmd file and run it. After running it and then restarting, my computer started having the issues. This was the contents of the reset.cmd file that i ran.
cd /d "%ProgramFiles%\Windows Resource Kits\Tools"

Anyhow so I started attempting the steps from a similar post on this site.. I downloaded the visual basic 6 file, ran the RKill file and then attempted to run Rootrepeal but it froze up and got a low memory error.

Lets take a look with Malwarebytes

Please download Malwarebytes' Anti-Malware from here:
Malwarebytes
Please rename the file BEFORE downloading to abcdefg.exe instead of mbam-setup.exe

MBAM may "make changes to your registry" as part of its disinfection routine. If using other security programs that detect registry changes (ie Spybot's Teatimer), they may interfere or alert you. Temporarily disable such programs or permit them to allow the changes.

Double Click abcdefg.exe to install the application.
* Make sure a checkmark is placed next to Update Malwarebytes' Anti-Malware and Launch Malwarebytes' Anti-Malware, then click Finish.
* If an update is found, it will download and install the latest version.
* Once the program has loaded, select "Perform Full Scan", then click Scan.
* The scan may take some time to finish,so please be patient.
* When the scan is complete, click OK, then Show Results to view the results.
* Make sure that everything is checked, and click Remove Selected.
* When disinfection is completed, a log will open in Notepad and you may be prompted to Restart.(See Extra Note)
* The log is automatically saved by MBAM and can be viewed by clicking the Logs tab in MBAM.
* Copy&Paste the entire MBAM report (even if it does not find anything) in your next reply

Extra Note:

I do not know what this is or what is causing it. But right before this message appears, I get a message asking about a proxy? I have no Idea what a proxy is. So I click no for the proxy. and that is when the error message occurs. As far as I know of I do not need a proxy to download any programs. Could this be causing the error message?

A:Need fix for Microsoft Visual C++ Runtime Library Runtime Error

Hi,

Mostly, this kinds of error can be caused by two factors:

1.Runtime components of Visual C++ Libraries are missing.
2.Software problem.

If the issue is caused by #1, you can reinstall the Runtime components of Visual C++ Libraries to resolve the problem.

If the issue still persists after installing above package, the issue should be a software problem. I suggest you take a clean boot check whether it is a software conflict issue. If not, it is still recommended to address the problem with manufacturer support. Thank you for your understanding.

The problem existed before i tried to download a new driver and still exist. I also scanned my computer with Trend micro Anti Virus and spyware and have found no possible causes.
