I recommend downloading and running Reimage. It's a computer repair tool that has been proven to identify and fix many Windows problems with a high level of success.

I've used it in the past to identify and fix everything from blue screens (BSOD's), ActiveX errors, corrupt files and processes, dll/exe/sys errors, recover lost memory, Windows update problems, defragging, malware removal etc.

You can download it direct from this link http://downloadreimage.com/download.php. (This link will automatically start a download of Reimage that you can save to your computer.)

Hi there, Anyone know a solution to this?  My T570 has just started experiencing BSOD crashes when being moved around.  Some info:- Win 10 1803- Running an SSD so I assume I don't have any active protection or anything like that- I can't actually tell what error codes are shown on the BSOD since it disappears too fast (although if necessary I could probably film it or something...)- Laptop has never been dropped or otherwise shock-loaded, though it has travelled in my carry-on quite a bit.  It's just over one year old.- The event viewed doesn't seem to shed light on any software issues immediately preceding the BSOD, and the system doesn't seem to be able to create a dump file (error event "Dump file creation failed due to error during dump creation.") Does this mean this is a hardware issue?  Has anyone experienced similar and found a solution? Kind regards, Peter

Hi, I just got a BSOD after clicking on a YouTube link on my fully patched T570, complaining about APC_INDEX_MISMATCH (win32kfull.sys). From what I can tell, this is likely related to a Realtek audio driver, even though I have the latest version already installed. Here's a similar thread for L560 and X260 BSODs: https://forums.lenovo.com/t5/ThinkPad-L-R-and-SL-series/APC-INDEX-MISMATCH-on-L560-and-X260/td-p/338.... And another for T460p: https://www.reddit.com/r/thinkpad/comments/4q9nbl/t460p_bsod_in_windows_7_x64_anyone_running_into/. However, the solution there was to update to 6.0.1.7855. My T570 is running 6.0.1.8142, so presumably, whatever the fix was is already in this version. And yet: BluescreenView doesn't even have a snapshot of the dump because it was stuck at 0% like that until I restarted it, so I can't show full details. Has anyone run into this issue on a fully patched T570? Is Lenovo aware?

A:APC_INDEX_MISMATCH BSOD (win32kfull.sys) on ThinkPad T570

I have not had that problem, but if the BSOD was not simply a quirk and continues to occur, there is a later driver available directly from Realtek (6.0.1.8186) that can be found under Quick LInks >> HD Audio Codec Driver at the link below. Realtek High Definition Audio Codecs [and driver]http://www.realtek.com.tw/Downloads/downloadsView.aspx?Langid=1&PNid=14&PFid=24&Level=4&Conn=3 Note:  I am currently running 6.0.1.8186 (vs the 6.0.1.7910 available from Lenovo) on my H50-50 desktop without any problems, but do bear in mind that Lenovo has not yet completed its testing of this version on your system either. Cheers,

I reboot and everything seems to work for a short period of time but then it BSOD's again. This is a high spec laptop I bought for work, if it cannot handle the software I put on it, there is no point in having it.....

Hi!Here is my first post. it's related to fingerprint sensor. Machine is a T570 "out-of-box" with Win 10 PRO. I ran MS Windows updates then Lenovo updates through Lenovo companion program.I notice after applying proposed fingerprint driver (Synaptics Metallica MOC touch FP driver - V5.2.3515.26)  sensor doesn't work anymore ... To log in I'm forced to use the PIN code or password way. Sensor no longer recognizes my finger. In fact it is the sensor itself that is no longer functional (no light). Obviously before I tried to configure the sensor again but without success ... Using the previous driver through drivers manager, everything works again (5.2.3512)Has anyone had the same problem? Thanks in advanceRegards

Is it possible to have an SSD together with a HDD in the T570? I spoke to a sales rep in Australia who assured me it was possible, but advised me to contact technical support about the details; I was informed by technical support that it was not at all possible. Plugging an SSD into WWAN slot was specifically excluded by the tech rep as an option. I am asking this because in my T500, with which I have been happy for many years, I had a 256GB SSD for my OS and programs and a 1TB HDD (in the Ultrabay) for my files; the latter could be conveniently removed for transport when necessary. This set-up was not possible in the T560, for which reason I have delayed replacing my T500.

I bought ThinkPad T570 (Intel Core i7-7500U Kaby Lake / 16GB RAM / 512GB SSD / 15,6" UHD IPS /  Intel HD Graphics 620) with ThinkPad Pro Dock 90W 14 days back. In first I updated system to the last Win 10 Pro Creators Update - version 1703 (build 15063.250) which is declared to be fully supported.I expected that it will solve my need for next years, but I'm a little disappointed now, I have the following problems:Annoing background sound somewhere from motherboard, neverending random sound like tss, tsss, ... it looks like something connected with integrated video card, sometime it changes during scroll of web browser windowFrom begin lower half of display sometimes had some flicker issues and content was for short time replaced by some pattern. I updated all drivers to the last versions and now it appears occasionally.I am unable to use 3840x2160 / 60Hz display resolution on external monitor (27" BenQ BL2711U UHD 4K) via DisplayPort cable connected to dock. Monitor is detected, but no video is provided. But if I change resolution to 1920x1080 / 60Hz it is working. If I connect monitor to HDMI on notebook, then it is working on 3840x2160 but only with 30Hz. Other connections like VGA and DVI are also working but they are not able to provide 4k video.I am unable to use my S/N on support pages, it is unknown.

Hi there,So far I've been using a good old T61/T60 blend. Today I received a brand new T570 students' edition (512GB SSD, 8GB Ram, nVidia graphics, UHD display).Alas, the trackpoint has a mind of his own. Vertical movements are fast and may also be precise, I can't tell for sure. However all horizontal movements are noticeably slower. Then, the pointer would move without the stick being touched, for several seconds. The trackpad is useless while the pointer is moving. Precise and fast movements as known from my old thinkpad are practically impossible. What did I try so far trying to solve the problem?- updated bios and driver via thinkvantage system update- on top of that I also tried lenovo bridge via browser, but did not find any newer driver versions- I (de)activated enhanced mouse pointer acceleration, with no effect- I also removed and reinstalled the red dot from the stick - no effect- only deactivating the trackpoint helps, it even increases the precision of the touchpad, which seems to be constantly disturbed by the trackpointWhat can I do? Send the laptop back to lenovo? To me it seems someone was incapable of programming a solid driver for the trackpoint, and I struggle to understand this because my 10 years older thinkpad does not have problems of this kind. Thank you!

I have been using this new T570 for just over a week and have noticed some really upsetting discomfort. After only a few minutes, my eyes become fatigued and I start to experience a strange chilling unpleasantness. The first time this happened, I ended up with a migraine for the rest of the day and got sick.  As a disclaimer, I have normal (20/20) vision and I have never experience any negtaive side effects of using a computer, laptop or phone before. My main driver before getting this machine was a Samsung Tab S2 (AMOLED) and occasionally a normal desktop. I also own an LG G6 (LCD). This tells me that it is not simply the technology of LCD or AMOLED that is making me sick.  I believe the T570 is an LED powered LCD screen (not sure though). This one is FHD with a matte filter.  I have looked up things like PWM but this issue seems to occur whether or not the screen is full brightness.  It took me a week to acknowledge that the issue is actually coming from the screen. I am currently using this with it plugged in to an external monitor and haven't had any negative side effects. Does anyone know what the problem could be? BTW, I also tried changing the resolution (didn't help) and zooming in to 175% (which I thought helped but it didn't). Is this just how these screens are made?Is it somehow bc of the matte finish (hard to believe) or the FHD (really hard to believe)? Is this a defective screen?Did I get stuck with a laptop that had a... I did not touch any services through msconfig though, they are at defaults.- Power type: Balanced- Screen brightness at 95%  What I am experiencing from time to time is dimming screen (Power Options -> Advanced Settings -> Display - > Enable adaptive brightness is both OFF (on battery and plugged-in). 1. What can be the cause for dimming? 2. Other question - battery is holding maximum 5.5-6 hrs (no resource heavy tasks, only browsing, 1080p videos on youtube). How to optimize that? 3. Hello, one month ago I ordered a T570 with the 1TB SSD option, and have had intermittent hard drive failures from the start. The OS crashes and then the device won't appear in the boot options nor in the Lenovo diagnostics. Then it randomly works again.I have already tried re-seating the drive twice and re-seating the cables three times, but the problem persists.I have appended a log from Lenovo diagnostics where apparently the drive failed during the diagnostics run. What are my options now? I would be grateful for any suggestions. Best regards Chris

But it instantly starts beeping again the instant the connector is reinserted. What's happening here?

Probably, the one from Lenovo is temporarily out of stock.  In general, any RAM with similar specs will work, although there are occasional compatibility problems, especially with RAM described as "Value RAM".  I always suggest that people check the seller's return policy on any RAM they are buying.  I tend to buy whatever is cheapest.

I've experienced very annoying issues with VBA excel programs from the purchase in May 2017. When I launch a long procedure in VBA, it starts' ok utilizing up to 50% of CPU for a few seconds, than CPU utilization drops down to almost 0% and stay there for very long time. Not sure the reason, I believed it's something related to CPU temperature but it's probably not; the very same procedure run ok on my older T540p and on my desktop PC (which had the same problem which was solved by an update of BIOS of MB Asus z170 pro gaming). My T570 has i7-7500U, UHD, 512 NVMe, 8+8 GB. Is one else having the same problem? ps. I also had the problem of heavily degraded performance when running on battery and without Internet connection, which seems to be common, but that looks like solved recently with Power Management update

Hi,
I have got a thinkpad T570 laptop, and everything works well except that my computer can only connect to the Internet by WI-FI. When I plug in the cable, it cannot connect to the Internet. I am sure the modem and the cable works well because I have tried to use them on another computer, and the other computer can connect to the Internet. Is there any problem with my thinkpad T570? Can anyone help me? Thank you very much!
