sir service engineer told me that your ram socket burns due to heat or power fluctuation and so we have to change your motherboard for that and this is not covered in your warranty. i have adp warranty .So can i arugu with them in these conditions ?Is warranty doesnot cover issue due to power fluctuation , which cover accidental protection, too ?

   HP Notebook 15-BA077S A purchased Oct 16 A fault has occured over the past 8 weeks when 'Copy/Pasting'. Cntrl C to copy a link leads the Laptop to freeze. Ability to close Internet explorer leads to inability to reopen. Laptop needs to be shut down and re started. The problem then could re occur at any time and has even quickly after restart. Purchased through PC World, they have only offered 'replacement of keypad buttons', which doesn't solve the problem. Any solutions welcomed, but I have lost confidence in this product/my current machine so would preferably like to replace or gain refund through Manufacturers warrenty. Is this covered and likely?? Thanks

Hi,     My new System cam with Windows 10 Pre-installed. So there was no Installation Disk along with the package. I dont have any OS backup. So if  anyhing happens to my Hard Disk while the System is in Warranty, do they replace only the hard drive or they will install the windows 10 OS again for me ? Also there is no Product key came along with my System. It is something came with digital key , which i am not sure. But the Windows is activated. Hi, From my understanding no warranty for software BUT users normally get 3 months support (again for software). In your case: (a) There is a Recovery partition and instructions how to create Recovery media (DVD's, USB).(b) From Windows 8, Microsoft put product key for Windows in BIOS therefore you can reinstall or use recovery media to rebuild your machine. No need to activate again.(c) Upgrading RAM, HDD won't effect Windows, buy changing motherboard will normally require re-activate Windows. Regards.

I own a Dell Inspiron 5547. I have purchased a Dell notebook for my wife as well and my choice for the company notebook was also Dell. This was because I have trusted the quality and the 3 year warranty.Parts Only warranty 11/4/14 - 11/4/15Carry-in Service/Return to Depot warranty 11/4/14 - 11/4/17
A long time ago, a screw fell out from the notebook and there was no way to put it back, it always came out. Please note that I have never ever tried to do any modifications/repairs on the notebook. As I could not afford to put it into the service for 2 weeks, I've tried to open and close it always with maximum care. Still, it broke eventually and I needed to go to the local Hungarian warranty partner, where I was told that Dell won't cover the issue and I got an offer over USD 150 for repair.
I admit that with turning in the notebook, the damages would have been smaller, but still, the place for the screw would have needed a change and also the plastic and other parts were not as strong as required. I've googled Dell hinge issues and it seems to be a common issue.
In order to keep my trust in Dell, I would like at least a partial guarantee. Else, due to the lack of trust I will need to look for another brand when I will need to replace laptops. This is something I would not like.

I am using a Ideapad 100s (the 11" 200$ windows laptop)The laptop is over a month old and  I have had so many issues espesially on the build qualityAt first there was a whinning sound on the screen after the bightness gets bellow 95%  and the mouse pointer was moving by itself randomlySo I would send it back to Lenovo after the hollydays were oven (because I needed a computer to study as I was away from home).On this month I got sooo many issues:-The "U" key broke off as I was typing(The U and P keys height is lower than the rest of the key's)-The spacebar key is only registered if I tap it with some force on the center -The left  click on the touchpad was not placed at the same height (I didint notice at first) so it's not as taptile as the right click -Screen sometimes will remain black on boot untill I forceshutdown-And the blue paint on the back gets off!!(I've notice this after the edges turned from blue to white,So I started rubing a piece of paper on the back of the screen.Anddd Guess What the paint transefed to the paper).So will warranty cover any of theese problems?I Also heard that the service center on Greece has bad reputation and that makes me a litle worried ... :/

On August 1, 2019, I got interrupted by a critical alert that prompt me to update bios. I started the bios update. The bios update ran to 100% then began the EC update, 1 hour after it started it was still at 0%. For the benefit of doubt,I let  the update run for more than seven hours until the battery run out of juice. I tried plugging it in and tried to turn it on but I didn't get any response. I searched online for the problem, I saw that many people have the same update issue. So I went to Lenovo service centre. They told me that because I bought the system in the US, I can't service it in Nigeria. They said I can either send it to US for repair or I should go for extended repair that will cover this issue. I need to get this product fixed as soon as possible because my work is already lagging behind. I need all the help I can get to resolve this issue fastest.

Hi, I just got out of an online chat with an HP technician who informed me, after helping me through troubleshooting for what was a faulty battery, that the Extended Warranty Care Pack taken out for the laptop did not cover the battery.  Their reasoning was that "The unit is covered under warranty but the warranty for the batteri is expired." If this is true then when I look up the laptop's current warranty status on HP's website, what it tells me is a bit misleading: "Active: Covered under Extended warranty,  42  months remaining" (for reference HP Support Assistant tells me the warranty for the laptop is a HP Care Pack and lasts until 2020). When I hover over the question mark icon on HP's website next to the warranty status, the icon brings up a box which states: "Warranty Status Types ?Manufacturer?s warranty? refers to the warranty included with the product upon first purchase. ?Extended warranty? refers to any extra warranty coverage or product protection plan,  purchased for an additional cost, that extends or supplements the manufacturer?s warranty." So then I'm curious about a few things. 1. How can I see what exactly this Extended Warranty covers?  In HP Support Assistant it justs lists HP Care Pack and the date it is set to expire. 2. I bought a Lenov Ideapad 510 15IKB on 14th April 2017. Now I'm facing 2 issues with the warranty registration and warranty upgrade: Issue#1On April 16th I registered the base warranty of my product as it should start from the purchase date of my product. After few email conversations for purchase proof, finally on 3rd May, I received email confirming the base warranty registration of my product. It was starting from 14th April 2017 and ending on 13th April 2018. I checked the same on lenovo website. But few days back when I again checked the warranty status, it was restored to factory warranty (15 Oct 2016 - 13 nov 2017). I don't know why this happened and how this happened. When I contacted lenovo, they said that warranty is updated in their database but how can I beleive when I can't see this on warranty lookup section of the Lenovo official website. We have a case whereby the base warranty was expired end of 2017 (S200 MT10HQ) , but we have the invoice of june 2018.Now the service partner says, sorry no warranty as it have been expired, the warranty does not start from the end users date of purchase.Is there an warranty law for this in the EU or with Lenovo? We had similar cases with HP probooks which all was excepted with the date of invoice and not base warranty.

Warranty starts with date of purchase.  You just have to register with Lenovo that you have wrong start date.  I had to do same thing with my niece's laptop.  See below website.  I just had to upload the purchase receipt to get the warranty start date corrected.  Hope the below helps.

Hi! I have really stupid situation. I have returned my laptop to lenovo dealer three times. 1. replaced Touchpad and WiFi adapter. 2. Motherboard & Wifi antenna. 3. Service dealer said that it is all correct and need reinsatll windows OS. But I have 7 days remaining warranty,  thats why they canceled repair. Problem is same: KERNEL POWER 41 critical error. My dell xps 15 9550 was purchased with a 3yr extended warranty.  After getting an email offering to sell an extended warranty, I checked the dell warranty status.  Sure enough, no extended warranty appears.  Is this a system problem or do I need to do something.

I have a T450 Laptop. There is a mark on my screen and it is a white dot which is a problem with my display screen itself. I spoke to Lenovo repair as its under the extended warranty scheme. I was under the impression it would be picked up or fixed on site as it states in the warranty. However, the repair centre wanted pics which I sent but these were not good enough! I paid a small fortune for my laptop thinking Lenovo had the best warranty on the planet. This is clearly not the case. Be aware it is not as good as Lenovo states. Anyone else been let down by the warranty???

Hi! I bought a Lenovo Thinkpad Yoga 500 and since it was vibriting without any reason and woke up itself they changed the screen. The situation starts here: One screw was replaced badly and it was a bit tilted, but as our main season started I thought it will be OK. After 2 months the body of the laptop separated a bit and the under part a bit cracked above the USB port. I saw that all the screws were falling out of the stuff....I said it's not a big problem so I brought it back, but before that I checked the laptop, and it turned out that there was a small bump next to the touchpad which was slightly scratched. So I checked the screen and it turned out that there was a scratch too. So I went back to the lenovo service partner, where we could only see the bump from some side angles, and they took the laptop. In the afternoon I got an email that they screwed out and back everything so the PC is good now, they won't change anything at all. So I went back and asked them about the situation, and they said that it's my mistake that I must have holded the PC with one hand, so they won't fix the cracked thing, I'm lucky that the motherboard didn't break. When I said that OK, it's not a big issue for me, because after screwing the laptop, I can't really see the crack, but I'd like the screen to be fixed she said that I can't prove that they assambled the laptop incorrectly, when I said that her college saw that the screw was tilted she said do I have a photo about that beca... I bought the Chromebook N22 in October 2016. It stopped working in May. I called to get info on returning it, it is under warranty for 45 more days. However I was told that I would have to cover the shipping charge. I am very unhappy about this. Or I can purchase a warranty coverage charge for $34 from them! I am dissapointed that I could not get prepaid shipping as it is under warranty still. I purchased 3 of these machines at the same time. The Chromebook did not last very long. Apparantly, if your Lenovo purchase is out of warranty,  online support, of any kind,  is unavialble. On the contact page I entered serial number xxxxxxx (12/02) and was told my Thinkpad is out warranty, something I knew in June. Does this mean that online contact with Lenovo is unavialable? The only contact option on that page is the forum...so hello.
 
I've been bouncing back and forth between Staple and Lenovo for a couple of months now regarding a Thinkpad purchased this year. I recently sent the following note Staples, who again forwarded me to Lenovo Support, and who, as explained, is unavailable. 
 
I purchased a refurbished Lenovo Thinkpad in mid February. I purchasedthis computer based on what I could afford and past experience with both
Staples and Lenovo. The computer failed in June, one month beyond itswarranty period. The local Staples store told me they are unwilling torepair it.
It should be clear to a reasonable consumer, or vendor, that a $400dollar product, carefully used, should not be rendered worthless withina 4 month period,..without consideration. Is this what Staples hasbecome? If it has, why would I remain a customer?
I expected more from Staples and Lenovo, warranty, or no warranty.
 
As stated, I expect more of a global brand and its vendors, regarding a computer or a lawnmower, warranty or no warranty.

I am really unhappy with hp warranty services i have recently bought a hp pavillion notebook due to some reason my windows got corrupted and now service center is asking me to order a recovery disk py paying money even though it is not a hardware issueI have to pay extra 1000 rs bucks to order the recovery disc even though my laptop is underwarranty . I am really pissed with hp servicesAnd me and my family have been hp customers for a while. If there is anything you guys can do to improveMy warranty status let me know.

Hi: Contact HP technical support for the country you live in at the link below. http://www8.hp.com/us/en/contact-hp/ww-contact-us.html Explain the situation to the customer services rep. They will send you a link or to upload a copy of your invoice or sales receipt showing the date of purchase, and they will adjust the warranty start and end dates accordingly. I had to do the same thing, and they fixed the warranty start and end dates within 3 business days.

i have bought a HP notebook, it was clearing sale offer and laptop was the display laptop, it was put on counter, sales person suggest me to buy this and told that there is no warranty of this product but you can get warranty from HP support after submitted your invoice. please provide me warranty of my new laptop.
