I recommend downloading and running Reimage. It's a computer repair tool that has been proven to identify and fix many Windows problems with a high level of success.

I've used it in the past to identify and fix everything from blue screens (BSOD's), ActiveX errors, corrupt files and processes, dll/exe/sys errors, recover lost memory, Windows update problems, defragging, malware removal etc.

You can download it direct from this link http://downloadreimage.com/download.php. (This link will automatically start a download of Reimage that you can save to your computer.)

Can you print in landscape from Word or any other program? Could the printer be obstructed in some way? The only time I had printing pile up on one sheet was when the printer had an obstruction. Once removed, it printed perfectly.

Is their anyway to set internet explorer to have everything print out in a landscape format for a specific website? or must you choose the format evertime. We primarily use IE6 still but will be moving to IE7. The reason I ask is because everything printed from the website is cut off in a protrait style format.

I have created a Custom form using Outlook 2010. The problem is I can't print the form in Landscape.
I used the VBA code for background printing in Word after Prntscr. But the document prints in Portrait, hence small an dhard to read. ANyway I can print it in Landscape to fit the shett?

Thank you,

A:Printing Outlook form in Landscape

Why not print it direct from Outlook?
Select Page set up and choose Landscape.
Then you can Print it direct from Outlook.

You do NOT need any VBA code as the background option is a basic printer set-up option.

Prntscr takes a PICTURE and when you paste it into Word it will still be a PICTURE.

Hi Folks,
My desktop has W7 64 bit and Office 2010 tied to a printer via USB. In the last couple of weeks, the selected format has got reversed... when portrait selected prior to printing, it prints landscape and vice versa! This is work-roundable in Word and Excel, but has caused horrendous problems with publisher. My older laptop with XP and Office 2010 via USB to the same printer has no problems and prints normally.
Any clues, please?

I have a very weird situation. I have a user that is printing invoices from a web portal and every time she prints, they default to landscape. We have setup the printer in IE to Portrait but they always come up as landscape. We had her login on a different computer and it comes up fine but on her system it is not. I had her try printing to another printer and it still comes up landscape.

I thought it could be a print driver but unfortunately I don't believe it is.

She is on XP SP3

This is very weird, please let me know if more information is needed.

Hello, I just received a new Yoga 2 13, 8Gb, 256Gb SSD. I have been using it exclusively as a laptop. It worked just fine for a few days. I did notice once the screen flipped sideways and the keyboard turned off randomly but after turning the laptop on its side and back, everything went back to normal. Today, after closing the lid and putting the machine to sleep, then waking it up, it awoke in tablet mode with the sideways screen and turned off keyboard. To do anything I have to use the on-screen keyboard, which does work. Nothing I did could get it to go back to laptop mode, or for autorotate to ever work. Rebooted several times, no. The "Lenovo" signage does show correctly in landscape as soon as the machine turns on, but once it gets to the login window, it's back to sideways tablet mode. The auto-rotate button (which I had never touched prior) doesn't appear to do anything. I click the button, it says "autorotate off" then I click it again to "autorotate on" and still no rotation. I called Lenovo technical support, and he tried (after remote desktoping into my machine) to try a different display driver. The Windows "Basic" Driver, the Intel Driver from March 2014, and the latest Lenovo display drivers downloaded did nothing. He turned off "ycp" or something similar as a startup service, no help. In Screen Resolution, he changed the orientation of the display from portrait to landscape which did fix the orientation problem but did n... You have this HP Notebook x2 - 10-p020ca.
It was purchased in January 2017 and came with Windows 10 Home 64-bit and came with a 32 GB(28 GB actual capacity) eMMC storage drive.
Because its storage drive has no free space left, that's my guess why Windows 10 Home 64-bit is 19 months out-of-date.

I've used nothing but HP printers since 1997, so I'm not familiar with how Canon printers are set up and work.
The printer properties in your Canon PIXMA MG2400 printer should have settings that allow you to select landscape or portrait or auto mode.
Make use of its on-line manual and see it helps you.

I booted up my Lenovo Yoga 3 Pro today, and it keeps going tablet mode during the Windows startup sequence-(he first time I booted it up after the extended waranty expired at the beginning of the month).  The keyboard lights briefly, but then goes dark and I can only login using the soft keyboard or number pad.  At times the screen will change to portrait mode, even though the unit is clearly landscape oriented, or will invert. If I open up the Lenovo vantage software it clealry showed that the keyboard light was shut off and the touchpad disabled-I could change both settings, but the keyboard still wouldn't work and the touchpad was in landscape and the screen was in portrait, so it was kind of unusable.  I have to rely on touchscreen and soft keyboard.I did a reinstall of Windows, and it worked for about an hour before reverting to tablet mode only.I have changed Settings to eliminate Tablet mode, to no avail.I tried deleting the HID driver for selecting laptop/slate indicator, but it just reinstalled on the next start-up.Hardware sensor issue or software?

I have just installed a new LCD/digitiser panel for my wife's Yoga 510. On restarting it after the repair, the display works fine, but the machine defaults to Tablet Mode in portrait orientation, and the keyboard and trackpad don't work. I'm able to use the touch screen to restore the correct orientation, but cannot recover the keyboard/trackpad. This occurs whether the machine is in laptop, tent or tablet mode. Rebooting to Safe Mode produces normal behaviour (correct screen orientation, keyboard and trackpad work), so this suggests that there's a driver issue somewhere. After digging around the net a bit I found that disabling "HID Sensor Collection V2" in Device Manager and rebooting fixes this issue, however this is not ideal as the keyboard/trackpad remain active when the screen goes past 180 degrees. It's not a huge issue, as the machine isn't used in tent or tablet modes very much, but it would be nice to have a fix for when it is used like this to avoid unecessary inputs from the keyboard. Disabling this driver also prevents the soft keyboard from initialising. It's also an issue if the driver is updated, as it is then re-enabled and everything goes back to "permanent" Tablet Mode. Does anybody know of an updated driver, or a setting in the driver, to overcome this problem?

Hi everyone Since the last Windows 10 update on 11th Apr 2017, I have had two problems that I assume are related:1. The fan is constantly on, despite normal CPU usage of around 10-15%2. I can no longer turn off conservation mode, so that now I cannot charge the battery above 60%. I tried uninstalling the Lenovo Energy Management software, and installing Lenovo Settings, but the conversation mode toggle in the latter also makes no difference. The sum of both of these problems is that now my battery runs down much faster... Any help most welcome! Chris

For some reason my HP1220C connected via USB to a Win XP machine has stopped responding to setup changes. It will print a test page, and anything sent to the printer is Ok as long as all I want is the default. One clue may be that if I run the printer utility ( HP 1220 toolbox ) it tells me that it is not receiving data from the printer.
I have tried connecting it directly to the PC USB and via the normal USB Hub. I have also tried changing the cable, and downloading the latest driver from HP's website. If I look at the usb section of hardware devices it shows no errors.

Any Ideas ???

Greetings, I have confirmed that I have some software related setting that blocks my 1-year-old Yoga 910 from charging. This was not a problem from before. Today, I got my Yoga 910 back from service. (replaced SSD under warranty) and thus I have a fresh Win 10 1709 installation. Problem: The computer does not charge while plugged in and turned on.1. In Windows: Shows as "Plugged in - Not Charging".2. Turned off: When computer is left plugged in and turned off it will charge fine.  I have tried:1. In Vantage:  Does not state that the Conservation Mode is enabled, and I have tried toggling this back and forth while plugging and unplugging the charger - No change.2. I rolled back to "Lenovo Settings" and used it in Flightmode (so that it would not ask me to switch to Vantage), to no avail. The setting there too is off, and toggling it back and forth do not change anything. AFAIK, it is only Dell and Lenovo that ship computers with this kind of software, and since I have a fresh installation of Windows, and it charges when I have it shut-off; This must be Lenovo Software Related. I can even sense it is some kind of software, because immediately after boot it still shows that it is actually charging, but suddenly it stops. Probably after loading some of the Lenovo services. I am at a loss. I find some threads about the topic, but no solutions. The power settings in Windows is "Balanced", that is the only profile I have available. I ... Read more

G'day guys,

A couple of days ago my windows screen suddenly changed from normal (landscape mode) to 'Portrait' mode - meaning the usual top of my screen page is now running along the right hand side of my monitor - it's like it done a 90% right-hand turn ... (the usual bottom of my screen is now running along the left-hand side of the monitor) ... the mouse sort of went a bit funny (like it felt out of control), then before I knew it, the screen had changed from normal landscape mode to portrait mode...

I don't think it's a virus/malware problem.

For the past couple of weeks my PC has been very very slow to start-up - say maybe takes 5-10mins, then after everything has loaded - seemed to be working fine ...
I did virus & malware scans using Avira/Spybot/SuperAntiSpyWare/MBAM (all latest versions & updated) when it first started the slow start-ups - but no probs detected.

I really didn't have more time to look into the slow start-up problem, and as mentioned before, once everything loaded-up, the PC ( & internet) was running fine - shut-down normal - no probs - no hanging.

I created a system restore point back in early Feb, when Bobbye helped me check-on a suspected 'false' trojan detected by Avira.

* Should I try using a system restore point to get my windows screen back to normal, or, what do you recommend ?

thanks,
Buzz

This mode switch should be a part of the Video driver tools or software. Look in the control panel for Nvidia or AMD something, and see if the mode can be changed from there...

this is a many faceted and increasing in facets issue (ill try to make it as short as possible);

backstory:
the male side of my video cable connection (the part on the motherboard) had bent pins; the pins were unbent and the cable was able to fit back in, BUT

problems:
the picture was garbled--wrong colors, moving lines, etc. the people at a tech store told me the video cable was pinched and knowing that it had been jammed in the hinge for a while, i believed it extremely feasible. I finally ordered a new video cable but replaced it, and to no avail. the picture may have been slightly better--but not significantly if so; additionally (and im not sure if it was this way the first time as well) the computer was displaying at the size of the external.

i restarted, and reazlied that the laptop screen displayed nothing at startup, until logged in--exactly like the external. i figured that at least a portion of what was going on was the computer was sending the external screen signal to the laptop.

things i've tried:

-reseating both ends of the new video cable MANY times
-turning the computer off, taking out battery, holding start button, putitng battery back in, restarting
-every variation of screen resolution/external monitor setting
-pluggin in the external, putting laptop to sleep, unpluggnig external
-reinstalling video/image drivers

So my Lenovo Yoga 910-13IKB (Out of warrenty) was working fine this past Friday in the morning. I plugged it in to my charger, closed the screen and went to lunch and when I came back the computer was really really slow. So I opened the task manager and looked at the processor and it was running at 13% utilization and clocked at .38GHz (Normal clock speed is 2.70GHz) I restarted the computer a few times. Did a full shut down, then restarted in saftey mode and ran a root kit scan (Found nothing). I then powered it off so I could get all my files off before it died, but when I restarted it later that evening it was dead (Powered off at 50% battery) So now I am stuck with a dead computer that will not charge. My thinking is that something on the Type-C charging board shorted out somehow and caused an errant voltage that messeed with the processors, drained the battery, and prevented charging. It could only be like 3 things right?-The charging port board (Type-C)-The motherboard (Which basically everything is soldered to, so I would not replace)-The Battery Any thoughts? If this is likely the correct diagnosis I might replace the board, but I do not want to spend $100 for nothing.

If I fold the screen all the way around to tablet mode, whenever I'm in landscape mode, the screen is upside down. In Portrait mode it's fine.
I've spent  a few hours with Dell support who loaded drivers, did a system restore, loaded more drivers and declared it fixed. After a few rounds of doing literally nothing but loading windows updates, it's broken again. Is there a way to tweak how the sensor works?

Also, when in tablet mode, even though the keyboard is locked, the touchpad isn't which can be annoying.

A:Latitude 11 3147 screen upside down in tablet (landscape) mode.

Same here.  Tent mode or Landscape Tablet mode, the display is inverted.
I've searched for a solution since purchase. I found it was affecting many others.
I thought there was finally a fix for Win8.1 but that won't work on Win10.
I just saw two other machines running WIn10 and they worked correctly.
Anyone found a fix for this problem?

After a power outage 3 weeks ago I was having issues with the system going down at around 5 minutes and then less and less time after that. I was told it was a display issue and to uninstall and reinstall my display drivers. I uninstalled my drivers and it was still the same. I felt like it was temperature related. I found my graphics card (Radeon 5700) was dirty. I cleaned it and thought I was back in business. Everything was back to normal, all I needed to do was update my graphics drivers. Once that was done, my computer would no longer load past the Windows splash screen.

I used Puppy Linux on a flash drive and I have access to everything. I can use the internet and access all my files. This to me says that it is not a hardware issue.

The fact that when I try to go into safe mode it gets stuck for more than a day on classpnp.sys (when I finally give up). I understand that classpnp.sys has loaded but, there is something after that that the computer can't load. I have seen some people have atipcie.sys load after classpnp.sys and it makes sense to me that it would be a graphics driver that is causing the issue.

I need my Windows 7 up and running for school and work projects. Any ideas, thoughts, or help would be greatly appreciated.

Hi ,
Follow this tutorial to run SFC /Scannow at boot.
SFC /SCANNOW : Run in Command Prompt at Boot
If you want to run the command from a USB drive follow this tutorial.
Boot Windows 7 System Repair Disc from USB Using Grub4Dos
And apply it to the first link instead of the ERD (Emergency Repair CD).

Generally a good tutorial to read.

I tried using the driver CD to see if it will help with anything rebooting and I did some Express Test. It gave me this code:

Error Code:    650F:136C
Msg:    IDE device failed. Blank media or no media is present in optical drive. Test requires media with data (Resource CD, Installation CD).

Have no clue what it is. Ive done some reading on Mup.sys. It requires me to remove some 'USB card'. I dont really see any . Any advice would be appreciated or if you have anymore further queries let me know.

A:Stuck on Mup.sys (during safe mode) and stuck on Windows XP loading screen.

HI Jon,
Thats not  a error to worry about.
That error comes up when u run express test on the computer and the cd drive is empty.
Are we working on a notebook or a desktop.
And mup.sys is a system file .You can repiar mup.sys by following these steps.
1>Start the computer from the Windows Xp CD.2>At the Welcome to Setup screen, press R to repair. 3>At the C:\Windows prompt, type the following command, and then press ENTER: ren c:windows\system32\drivers\mup.sys mup.old4>At the C:\Windows prompt, type the following command, and then press ENTER:expand <cd-romdrive>:\i386\mup.sy_ c:\windows\system32\drivers\mup.sys5>After the file is successfully expanded, type exit, and then press ENTER to exit Recovery Console. 6>Restart the computer.
Best of Luck.

Hi, today I decided to restart my PC but it got stuck at the "logging off" screen, so I just held down power button to turn it off.
When I tried turning it back on, it got stuck at the windows logo. Safe-mode won't work, nor will system recovery.Note: I had not made any hardware changes in the past 3 years. I also don't think I have made any big software changes in the past couple of weeks.

What I was doing before I decided to reboot:
I was reinstalling different versions of firefox because I was having flash issues (FF and Flash arent very compatible on some of the newer FF versions)

So I installed 30.0 and it asked me reboot to finish the installation and here I am. I don't think it's related, might be just a coincidence.

Full details of what is happening:
Normal boot-up freezes at the windows7 logo. The animation freezes too. PC does not auto re-boot.
Safe-mode gets stuck while loading components. Notably at storport.sys (not sure if I spelt that right) PC does not auto re-boot.
System recovery freezes after a while during the © Mircosoft Corporation screen with green loading bar. PC does not auto re-boot.
The little light that flickers when the PC is doing something is not lighting up during the loading screens. It flickers for the first couple of seconds and then just stops (or very faintly flicks every 3-4 secs) The loading screen animation then freezes after ~10-15 seconds.

Hello Guys, Am using windows XP on my notebook and while going to the Safe Mode i'd realised that i wasn't getting thru. At one of the forums it was posted that Safe Mode could also be accessed by "run<msconfig<BOOTINI". After checking on /SAFEBOOT, my system restarted and now i couldn't even access to the Normal Mode. I Have tried all the options but am stuck on a Black and White Sceen with the options of SafeMode/SafeMode with Networking/Normal Mode and Last Known Configuration....

Is there any way i could get rid of that problem without reinstalling my system?

Like stated in the description. the Lenovo Yoga Control Service require 3% out of the CPU, all the time. and the only thing the service does is checking the orientation of the screen, and disable keyboard and mouse when flipped. This is absurd, especially since it drains battery constantly. I hope that this will be fixed eventually, until that time, I will turn the service off and use the computer like a regular laptop.

I've recently (13th of April) bought new Yoga 530-14IKB. It has adequate CPU i3-8130U, which is faster than i5-6200U in my sister's Acer laptop, but I anyway don't play any games. Despite that, its battery life isn't good. It works about 3-3,5 hours in Chrome. In task manager I've noticed that Yoga Mode Control is constantly using 15-30% CPU and its battery usage is described as very high. After disabling it, I can't switch to the tablet mode and keyboard and touchpad don't turn off. Is there somebody who has Yoga laptop and experience similar problem?

Hello All, I have an issue with my YOGA 700 laptop when logged in multiple accounts simultaneously. Whenever an account is left logged on and the user is switched as opposed to logging off, the cpu usage ramps up very high with several RUNDLL32 processes being the culprit. I have checked the RUNDLL32 processes with Process Explorer and the command line are as follows:C:\Windows\system32\rundll32.exe C:\ProgramData\LenovoTransition\Server\x64\EnableAutoRotation.dll,RunCustomMonitor The directory is as follows: C:\ProgramData\LenovoTransition\Server\x64\ The only solution I have found is restarting the laptop. The problems comes back when again more than one user is logged in. Also, the rundll32 processes only run high cpu on one account at a time and there doesn't seem to be a preference for a specific account, all of them are plagued one at a time with the problem. Disabling the Yoga Mode Control service is a fix but that breaks the mode control which is essential in this laptop. I have tried installing all the available software on the Software page foor the YOGA 700. The rundll32 processes drain the battery very fast and I can't always log off other users when they have apps open!  I have posted a screenshot of process explorer showing 2 rundll32.exe processes using 25% cpu usage each. However, sometimes up to 4 rundll32.exe processes open up and they use combined 100% cpu usage, which makes the laptop run very hot and slow. In t... Read more
