Y580 - Total recovery - install issue

Q: Y580 - Total recovery - install issue

Good evening, i got my Y580 since 2012 and two weeks back i restored to factory setting. About 3 days later of that factory reset my partition's file system has been changed from NTFS to RAW. I made some homework and it could be because of badly made restoration. I spent literally all day long on Google to figure out how to recover data from HDD. I get some of the most important data so i was not that mad.But here my misery started. I had to obviously do stuff with my SATA HDD and SSD HDD and i mean lot of stuff, i do not even remember, how many hours i spent in diskpart and what i did there. In short, i could not recover from LENOVO_PART because it was deleted by me.I made again some research on Google and it has been told to me that only Total recovery disks from Lenovo can help me. So i ordered them, downloaded them a burned them on DVD because i get .iso ones. After booting first DVD and successful creation of partitions as setup says, i put 2nd DVD and about in 10 mnts setup interupts and say: "Error operation system installation" and its done.I get curious so i picked up my backup Windows 7 install disk and get to the installation. I noticed that Total recovery made 2 partitions, one LENOVO_PART - 25 GB and other one, 4,5 GB aprox. It installs OS on SSD instead of SATA disk.I am out of ideas what could be wrong, because since yesterday's morning (about 20 hours) i spent again on Google and tried to figure out what could be wrong.I tried literally everything, from making partitions for Y580 from tutorial here on support to trying to merge SATA and SSD disk together with RapidDrive. Please help me, if you need any more information or screens, let me know. PS: I wrote to Lenovo support in my country and guy made sure me that i got right one recovery disks.

I recommend downloading and running DRP. It's a recovery tool that has been proven to recover files that most other programs have no luck with. I've even recovered files from freshly formatted or partitioned drives.

You can download it direct from this link http://goo.gl/v51TwD. (This link will automatically start a download of DRP that you can save to your computer.)

A friend of mine asked me to help him fix his HP laptop with Windows Vista Home Premium on it

I was told before i received it that the hard drive was replaced and they could not get the reinstall of vista to complete

I was able to install vista via the HP recovery cd that came with the computer, I did it twice actually

However, when I go into my computer, the hard drive only reads as a total of 24gb - I downloaded a program by paragon which helps back up systems, just for the benefit that it would show me how the hard drive is partitioned, not to use the actual software

It showed me there was a 24gb section of the disk, and there was another partition at 441gb +/-

I cant save anything to the computer because its showing the HD as full, since it only thinks there is 24gb

Does any of this make sense and how do i fix this? I do not need the hard drive partitioned, but how do i make it so its the total size of the HD?

A:500gb hard drive only shows 24gb total after vista Recovery install

I saw a lot about could not find recovery environment and win 8.1 but I think i have another problem. My charger is not working properly sometimes it chargers sometimes not ( and i have to unplug and plug back the cable into the acumulator) and because of this, when I tried to open my laptop it's shuting down after 1 sec. This brutal shuting down happened for 5 times I guess and  since then every time I boot it says "scanning and repairing drive (\\?\volume(f030c5da-d83f-45ed-". So when I realized that something bad happened I tried to return my win 8.1 to factory but when i got to settings/ change pc settings/ update and recovery / recovery / REmove everyting and reinstall Windows it got this beautifull message "could not find recovery environment " What can i do to get things to normal ( to make windows recovery working again). I m not interested in my data I can erase everything PS: Please don't say it's because I change something at partitions ( I lost onekey recovery when I change something at partition but reinstaling windows to factory was still working until this charger problems)??

A:long booting y580 issue

Hi Pyrethrum,

Make sure there are no USB Devices plugged in When you power ON the computer,

Also try performing a BIOS Reset.
Boot to BIOS by tapping F2 when you power it on
Once inside BIOS Hit F9 and then Hit F10

Check if the problem is solved,

Hope this helps
Cheers!

I've been using this laptop for around a year or so now, and it's worked perfectly up until this point in time.  The issue that I'm currently having is entirely mechanical. At the moment, my keyboard is intact and works just fine. However, if I press a key, (mainly the 'e' key) off-center, it pops the entire key up and I have to click it into place. It's not life-threatening or crucial to the machine's function, but when I am busy typing papers or lesson plans, having a key on the most constantly used vowel key continually pop up really puts a dampener in things. I've taken the key out and have tried to click it back in. While I can't see what's going on (given that there's a key in the way!), I can most certainly feel it clicking into place twice, both clicks stemming from the right side of the 'e' key. It seems that, to the best of my knowledge, only two out of four prongs that are meant to keep the key in place and in line are actually snapping and holding the key down. Whenever I type off-center and to the right, the entire left side of the key snaps up and must be pushed back into place. I'm wondering if there's anything I can or should do. Given that I've had my machine for over a year now, I'm unsure if my warranty still covers it (speaking of, is there a way to check warranty status online?). Please, if anyone has any advice on how to fix or replace a busted key/keyboard, please, let me know!

A:Lenovo Ideapad Y580 - Keyboard Issue

A replacement keyboard (chicony, oki, or dafon are the makers - be sure to look for the manufacturer label and p/n right below the lenovo p/n on the back to get a genuine keyboard) would make a good spares, they are about $30 on ebay. I replaced a broken key on a few different laptops but much prefer to swap out the entire keyboard.  Once a single key goes bad it's likely that more keys will start to fail (note that 'e' is perhaps the most commonly used key on your keyboard because it's the most popular vowel.  Other popular keys like 't' might be failing sometime soon).  So I would suggest you buy a spare keyboard and save it until you can't live without it, the procedure to replace the keyboard is a 10 minute swap. If you want to replace a key, a sharp tipped (xacto-style) knife blade, and a loupe (magnifying lens) are important accessories.  Buy from a reputable site which has good instructions ( http://www.laptopkey.com/ ).  Unfortunately, the key and hinge are manufacturer-specific (OKI, Chicony, Dafon, see above) so you will need to determine it from the guide on www.laptopkey.com.  When I fixed our Acer c720 I also used needlenose pliers to bend a metal tab back into place, the key hinge wasn't seating correctly because the metal tab had bent and was open too wide.  The Acer c720 has a nightmare keyboard to replace with 75 different locking plastic tabs that bind it to the undersize of the palmrest, so i had little choi... Ran Lenovo diagnostics and Hard drive and SDD (with factory windows 7) both okay, but neither boot.
I am able to start up win 10 from a usb drive (very slow).  Ran repair and asked it to fix problems.  It comes back saying drive is "locked".

I'm running WinXP. My pc tells me that I already made a set of recovery discs, but I have no recollection of doing it. On many, many forums, I've found the recommendation of deleting the HPCD.sys files = problem solved. Only on *MY* pc [HP tower, btw], I get an error message of "recovery partition not found" when I delete just one of the HPCD.sys files and then try to run the cd recovery making tool.

Is there a way around this? If not, if I do a complete recovery -- back to factory settings -- will my ability to burn a set of recovery discs be restored?

Thanks.

I was trying to watch a DVD on my laptop and kept receiving an error from PowerDVD 10, saying that it was an invalid media type. After looking online, I noticed that some people said that the update might fix this. So, I downloaded the update and ran the installer. It required that I remove the current installed version of PowerDVD in order to install the patch. After the installer wiped that from my computer and began to install the patch, I received a message stating that "This software can only be installed on a Lenovo system." This was a patch file that the program sent me to, called "PowerDVD_v5630_RiTA10(Lenovo)(PDVDServDelayStartup)_DVD130802-14.exe" After looking at this, I went through the knowledge base and found that there is another file linked for updating the PowerDvd software called "Lenovo.Lenovo_RiTA10_v_DVD110707-07.exe". When I tried to run this I get the following error:"Cannot install the patch.Either this patch is not intended for your version of PowerDVD 10or your system does not havea previous version of PowerDVD 10 installed. The patch installation will abort." Of course I don't have any previous version of PowerDVD 10 installed, because the other patch uninstalled it in order to install. Now I am stuck without the DVD software in this terrible Windows 8 environment. I even tried VLC player and the video is cut off. This is very frustrating. This is on my IdeaPad Y580. Any help would be appreciated. Thanks!

A:Y580 PowerDVD 10 Update Won't Install "Not a Lenovo Computer"

Since no one is of help it seems at technical support and I finally had some time for this, I was able to track down how to solve this. I used downloaded the installer for PowerDVD 10 from lenovo and then had to hack it. First run the installer (IN12STW153WW5.exe).After the installer fails, it will have dumped the files into C:\drivers\PowerDVD 10 BD\ (or replace C: with system drive I suppose).Edit the file Custom.ini (right click -> Edit)Change the line CLScan=LEGEND Dragon to CLScan=lenovoSave the file.Run setup.exe You can also skip running the installer and instead use a program like 7zip (or another compression program) to unzip the IN12STW153WW5.exe contents into a folder. Then go into the folder you extracted to and modify the file inside there.

Heya. I've had a couple different posts on here because of some pretty mad malware. Basically, my comp won't load to the login screen, so another member and I determined it was best to do a fresh install.

Now, I have a recovery console on my hard drive (forgot what program made it) and I have the recovery CD. The hard drive recovery will accept my raid drivers and send me through, however, when I try to get to recovery from my DVD it gives me the old fatal error oooooo7xb or what not. Of course I need to utilize the DVD version to install windows, and believe it or not I'm using the same floppy I used when it work. I did mess with my BIOS settings to get something else to work, so now I'm stuck.

Can i do a clean install from windows(safe mode works, regular mode won't) or is it absolutely best to do it from Dos recovery?

I was just wondering if anyone knows how to completely wipe out a computer and start it over like it is brand new. I have an Acer Aspire laptop with windows XP. Also just wondering if this is bad for the computer or if it is okay to do that.

A:total system recovery

The computer should have come with a recovery disk. Just put the disk in the CD-ROM and reboot the computer and follow the instructions to recover. If your computer did not come with a recovery disk you may need to check to see if there is a hidden recovery partition on the hard drive. If neither of these applies to you then you will need to contact ACER support to have them send you the recovery disk unless you have a legal stand-alone copy of Windows.

BTW.....There is no danger or harm in reformatting your drive. I recover my PC from a Ghost image all the time whenever it starts running slow or gets infected with harmful files.

Toshiba Satellite C55 - A5300 pt no: pscfe0-00m00g ser no:9d048995q
The 'puter came with Windows 7, so I started my thread here.

On advice from a Trusted Advisor, I have deemed it a requirement that I reinstall the whole shooting match (re post: Home>Forums>Software & Hardware>Hardware> On Toshiba satellite IE11 freezes, video gets garbled. "When a computer starts having a number of issues which can't be resolved, instead of struggling with and being frustrated with it, do a reinstall and get a fresh start.")I made the Toshiba System Recovery Media ( three dvds ) and want to make sure that I do it correctly. I look for guidance because I'm frustrated.

The other thing is that since I was told by a Moderator (re post: Home>Forums>Operating Systems>Windows 8>Solved Reinstall Windows 8 Will I be able to upgrade to 8.1? "that laptop has a very weak CPU so it doesn't take much to slow the system down. Keep it clean and it should be fairly OK.") and blindly updating Windows on startup will fill my registry with all sorts of unnecessary garbage, what can I do to make sure that I load only the updates that I need? the computer is used mainly for facebook, news media sites, some gaming (Wartunes or League of Angels), email, and some shopping.

I am running some antivirus suite by Norton, and I think that slows it down.

Also, what type does this TSG site use, and is it available in Wordpad?

Hello, I am faced with a real big problem. Recently I've lost all my data due to a RAID problem and had to use a full system image backup I was able to make before the crash. Here's the catch: I use a Core2Quad with 2 SATA drives on RAID 0 and Vista X64 ultimate. I have the windows installation DVD. Since my backup is on a USB HDD I plug it in, windows system restore finds the backup image. However, when it should start to copy the files a error message appears saying I can't restore my backup because it was made on a X64 system and my computer is a X86 system. How come? Has my processor mutated or what? I really cound't find a way to bypass this and start the backup. Please, any suggestions would be greatly welcomed.

Hello. Using Vista home, and ScansiskSD adaptor, the removeable drives I use for getting my pics from my memory card to my pc have always worked sporadically.. sometimes the light comes on, sometimes not, sometimes says insert card when already inserted, every so often, works great! checked drivers many times. Decided in device manager to remove drivers and reload.. accidentally removed drives instead. They do not magically re-appear in device manager after restarting as I hoped. Going back to an earlier date also didn't work. Is there a way recover the drives and avoid restteing to factory status/full system recovery? if not, advice please on making it as simple as possible. thank you.

I moved your thread here to the Vista forum in the believe that you will more likely get help here.

I would physically remove the drives and then install them the same way you did originally (assuming you following whatever instructions were given with them).

So i tried to remove digital protection with malwarebyte, while I also had total vista security rogue anti virus as well. The problem was that total vista messed up some of my legit files so i deleted them such as a win32 file. After mawarebyte scan, I deleted some files, but then when i restarted my computer, I got some window saying i lost some data or something like that and windows will attempt to restore last date that my computer worked. So i let my computer restore my computer settings to an earlier date and then when I log back in, total vista and digital protection was removed?

I don't know if they are removed just from a system recovery, so i need some advice. After the recovery, I tried the instructions on deleting total vista, but when I renamed process explorer to iexplorer.exe, it doesn't open up, because my computer recognized it as illegal instructions.

So far i am having no pop ups of the rogue anti virus software, but are they hiding??

Hi Vay,I would suspect that the malware is still there, but hasn't had a chance to run yet. Unfortunately, it will probably pop up some time in the near future. However, if you aren't currently having any symptoms, that makes it easier to do the common scans that will probably remove the rogue for you.Start off by using TFC by Old Timer which will clean out any temp files that might be left over from the pre-restore infection.Follow this guide here on how to remove Digital Protection. Then:Please download and scan with SUPERAntiSpyware FreeDouble-click SUPERAntiSypware.exe and use the default settings for installation. An icon will be created on your desktop. After plugging my cell phone into my HP dv7 laptop to charge it my USB wireless mouse stopped working and I received a USB device pop-up error, I have done this numerous times without a problem. I contacted Logitech (the mouse manufacturer) and they were useless so I contacted HP. They had me uninstall all of the USB's in the "Device manager", restart, download a chipset update, restart and the problem still existed. I went back to an online chat with HP and was told that I could try a system recovery in order to solve the problem. I was given instructions and told to use the system retore option (theirs not Windows) and I was assured that I wouldn't lose all of my docs and pics, etc. I was never given the option to click system restore and their program reformatted my system to the original factory settings. When I checked the Windows system restore the oldest point was the reformat. All of my programs (added after I purchased the laptop), documents, an pictures were gone.

This is my first time posting so I apologize for all of the extra information; I just wasn't sure what anyone might need to know. Is there any way to get back all that I have lost? Thank you in advance for looking at my post and for any help or suggestions.

Hi all,

About two months ago I bought myself an upgrade for my battered old pc. All was working well until about 2 weeks ago when suddenly I started experiencing random freezing, I'm not just talking about no mouse, I mean, full on lockup, sound on loop and unable to turn num lock on and off, bad times. It can freeze anywhere from while windows is loading to when browsing Overclockers to playing a game. Its very perculiar.

I have tried all sorts, from re-seating the RAM and CPU to updating all drivers and am thinking about clean install of windows.

I have been reading somewhere that a shabby PSU could be the problem, I have been wondering about this as mine came 'free' with my case, so it can't be owt clever.

By the way I have enough cooling, side fan blowing onto CPU then a rear case fan sucking air out.

Also Event Thing in windows shows nothing expect for when I have done a hard reset.

Anyway I'm just after some ideas as to what it could be because its driving me mad!

My specs are below:

- AMD Phenom II x4 955
- Asus M4A785TD-V EVO Mobo
- 4GB Micron DDR3 RAM
- ATI Radeon 4670
- 1x LG DVD RW
- 1x 500GB Seagate Drive (SATA)
- 1x 250GB WD Drive (SATA)
- Windows 7 x64 Ultimate

The power supply is: EZCool 500W Socket 775 ATX500 JSP??

If you need any more info please ask, I'm totally stuck.

ALSO I can run XBMC for hours watching films but if I go to play a game it simply just freezes after a few minutes of gameplay.

Hey all,
I have a PC Dell Dimension 5100 that im working on for a friend when she brought it to me it was just moving insanely slow. I saw she had a ton of extra apps that were unnecessary. So I cleaned up the machine and didn't even recall that her initial problem was that she was complaining that hte machine wouldn't come on.

I was able to turn the machine on no problem so I didn't know what happened. After I went to the store got some RAM and returned to install it. The machine isn't coming on..

I think the power supply is broken I checked the fan in the power supply and it doesn't spin. But the motherboard has a green light on it. I am willing to get her a new power supply but I don't know if the green light on the motherboard is saying that the power is not the issue?

I really want to get this 'headache' machine out of my house asap but I want it to be fixed right. Can someone recommend the steps they'de take to finish this off.

Prior to this power issue this is what was done:

1. Ran a chkdsk /r because the window's was corrupt.
2. Installed a secondary hard drive with the OS installed on there.
3. Ran all updates
At this point I just needed to put RAM in it because it has 504MB. Everything was fine until I shut it off went to the store came back and boom. Now it won't cut on.
Any help would be appreciated.

A:Power Supply Issue (Never Swapped One Total Newbie)

Sounds like you need a new psu and they are easy to install. 4 screws and carefully seat all the plugs in now, but the key is buy a good quality replacement of at least 450-500 watts like an Antec, Enermax, Thermaltake, Corsair etc... and you will do fine.

Hi all. I believe my 4-yr old Packard Bell desktop PC has caught a virus that seems to have destroyed the HD completely.

I was running WinXP SP2 and installed a somewhat dubious program (though McAfee did give it the all-clear). After installation I was met with the following BSOD...

IRQL_NOT_LESS_OR_EQUAL

STOP: 0x0000000A (0x00000000, 0x00000001c, 0x00000001, 0x804FB006)

My situation...

- 'Start Windows Normally' and 'Last known good config.' both present the same BSOD.

- Selecting any Safe Mode option results in a blank blue screen with just a couple of unintelligible characters in the upper left of the screen.

- I don't have a Restore CD for my copy of Windows but am willing to switch to Linux. I've downloaded and burned a Ubuntu boot disk, made sure the BIOS is set to boot from CD, inserted CD and get only the following...

Boot from CD:
1. HD System Type- (0B)
Missing operating system_

In all of the above cases the keyboard is unresponsive except for when I'm accessing and changing the BIOS menus. I can't figure a way to interact with the hard drive at all, even to format it.

The PC is old but I want it for a media server, so I'd like to get it working again if possible. Any advice would be much appreciated. thanks.

A:Total system death. Can't even install new OS?

P.S. I have downloaded and burned the WinXP Recovery Console. Attempting to boot from that only gives me this:

Hey there.  I have a XPS 420, purchased in 2008, Windows 7.  The machine runs slowly, browser hangs up a lot, Shockwave crashes, lots of malware.   I've tried to re image the computer - no change.

Now i'm considering completely wiping everything out and starting over with a Clean Install of Windows 7.  Is there a document that would take me through all necessary steps?

A:I would like to do a total clean re install of windows7

If the system has never been reloaded, power on, press F8 a few times, and choose "Repair" and then "Recover" from the menu that appears. This will reload the factory image on the system.
Once that's done,  you will likely want to to apply the Windows 7 post-SP1 rollup, or you'll be installing a few hundred updates through Windows update:
support.microsoft.com/.../3125574
It might also be a good time to consider upgrading to Windows 10 while the offer of a free upgrade is still in place.
If this is what you mean by "reimage" -- you've already done it and the system is still slow -- run an extended hard drive diagnostic on the system (f12 at powerup).  You may find there is something wrong with the hard drive - which, if original, is already well beyond its expected lifespan.

do a registry scan
defrag your harddrive.
try opening the CD from windows explorer, and double clicking on setup from there.
one fix on the official forum said to copy the files from the CD onto your hardrive and run setup from there, but i cant see how that would work, but it obviously did for someone.

My son installed this newly bought game on his laptop. He leaves for college in 2 days and it has significant problems. He says that he actually played the game for a bit, left the laptop in standby mode for a few hours, and came back to the BSOD. This is not a new machine (he is going to be a junior) and has never had big problems like this so far.

From the digging I have done the problem looks to be related to the graphics card or driver. The only way I can boot successfully is to disable the Radeon card. The display is then all screwed up of course.

I have disabled the on-board graphics and Radeon card and deleted the driver multiple times. I have installed the latest and prior driver packages from HP with no luck. The AMD card management tool does not recognize that the graphics card is present either (see attached screenshot).

I have tried to do a system restore too, but there was only one available from before the game installation and it made no difference to the outcome.

I hope i covered the basic info that is needed to start down the evaluation path, but let know if i missed anything. I plan to take this to work with me for the next two days so that I can try to keep plugging away at it.

Thanks, mastman

Hello all, Here is my situation-

I have just installed XP media center on my new pc (complete specs below) and everthing loads great. After windows loads it runs normally from anywhere between 2-15 min. then the system completely hangs on me frozen, I don't get a blue screen error or anything just a complete freeze. Here are all of the steps I have tried so far to fix the problem :

- Consult the MB manual and adjust the RAM to the compatible voltages in BIOS (1.8 default board setting 2.1 RAM setting)

-Swapped out RAM with another set I had and repeated above.

-Checked all connections from the power supply.

-Switched the connector from 4pin to SATA power connector for hard drive (thinking I might have overloaded a rail).

-Updated BIOS

-Updated GPU drivers

-Checked hardware heat temps.

Welcome to TSG....

Since this was a new install of Windows XP what might have to be done is installing the special drivers that come with the driver disk for the motherboard. You have to start with the chipset drivers first then the buss, network, video, audio then any order you want as long as you install all of the necessary drivers for the motherboard. You should have gotten a driver disk with the motherboard, if not then go to the motherboard site and download the ones for the board and bun to cd-r disk and install.

I used the steps outlined in the _Preparation_Guide_, but DDS seems to run for a while and then hang (showing a hash mark under the "t" in "it" of "it was requested" on the last line of text). Giving it 30 min to complete does not help.

Step 5: System uses McAfee Total Protection (includes a firewall) but this does not seem to offer complete protection.
Step 6: Ran Defogger, even though I don't think she is using any CD emulation software
Step 7: DDS hangs w/out generating output. Also won't quit cleanly and seems to prevent a clean shutdown if it has been run to the point where it hangs.
Step 8: GMER output is attached. Note the GMER timestamp on line 2 is when the file was saved - I actually ran the scan on Sunday 2012-06-24 (yesterday) but did not save until this morning.

Hello chaps, I have for a friend of mine who has got a brand-new Lenovo laptop with Windows 8 and he has come to me to format and install windows 7 into that. Now I have done all the boot sequence and stuff and came on the fresh install screen and then deleted all the unnecessary partitions that his laptop had. The problem I'm stuck with is that his total hard drive is 750gb but after deleting 6 unwanted partitions it's now showing me 692gb only in 1 disk. How can I recover the remaining 50gb hard drive. I'm now on the disk part menu doing a clean all command to ensure a zero base to install. Problem is to find the 50gb hidden hard drive space, how can I do that please

Thanks

A:How can I recope my hard disk total space in clean install

A 750 GB hard drive will not show as 750 in Windows.

More like in the 690 to 700 range. There's a roughly 7 percent loss. Turns out there are 2 ways of measuring capacity. Windows uses one. The disk makers use the other--the one that flatters them--as you might expect.

If you are doing a "clean all", let it complete, do a base Windows install, and then post back here with a screen shot of Windows Disk Management.

i have an asus 1025CE netbook.
For whatever reason, i don't have the recovery partition on it.

I do however have the recovery backup that i made when i first got it. It is stored on a USB external desktop hard drive 2.0. (toshiba 1TB).

When i boot up from it, i get to the asus recovery screen, but when i select either 'install to partition' or 'install to entire HD', it pops up with a message 'please insert external hard drive for backup'....

this makes no sense to me. anyway, i have tried different usb ports, tried attaching another external hard drive, and its made no difference, it still comes up with the same thing.

because i don't have that recovery partition, i can't go the normal route and boot straight off that on the hard drive.
Is there any way i can recreate that recovery partition, put the backup files that are currently on the USB external drive onto the partition and then try it? will that work?

Hey,

My month and half old Acer V3 started to give BSOD's, did some sort of recovery and started working again for a couple of hours, if not trying to access any Windows files. If tried to look up error logs etc it gave different versions of the BSOF. So I tried to run Recovery, getting it back to factory settings, and that's when Windows crashed completely. I followed Acer customer support advice, ordered recovery discs (couldn't create one because Windows crashed when trying it. I got the recovery discs, ran the recovery which ended up giving me failure because of "missing image-something". Another call to Acer and they told to run different recovery version from the puter.

That recovery end to a failure again. After several restarts and what not, windows started up again, being slower than usual. I'm now having constant problems losing internet connection, I've had couple minidumbs and several issues with windows updater and such and these after machine should be back in the factory settings. Anyhow, here's the last log if anyone could take a look on it before I throw this machine to the wall.

A:BSOD and total windows crash and recovery crash/failure

For starters:

At work we start all repairs with a set of diagnostics. Often they find problems that weren't even expected. It's a waste of time to try to fix software on a system that has hardware problems.
Please try these free diagnostics for starters: Initial Hardware Diagnostics
Also, please ensure that you have ALL available Windows Updates (it may take several trips to get them all).

In particular, start with the hard drive diagnostics as I suspect that is the problem.

Although there's only 2 memory dumps (it usually takes 4 or 5 to conclude if it's a hardware error or not) - the repeated failure of factory installs makes a hardware failure the most likely problem here. Please run the diagnostics that I suggested above and let us know the results.

There are a list of drivers that need updating (because the recovery media was made a while ago). Don't worry about them until you've finished the hardware diagnostics. If all the diagnostics pass, then update the drivers.

Please update these older drivers. Links are included to assist in looking up the source of the drivers. If unable to find an update, please remove (un-install) the program responsible for that driver. DO NOT manually delete/rename the driver as it may make the system unbootable! :
