Q: Outlook 2013 often disconnected from exchange online server

Don't seem to have the problem with 2010 versions of office

I recommend downloading and running Reimage. It's a computer repair tool that has been proven to identify and fix many Windows problems with a high level of success.

I've used it in the past to identify and fix everything from blue screens (BSOD's), ActiveX errors, corrupt files and processes, dll/exe/sys errors, recover lost memory, Windows update problems, defragging, malware removal etc.

You can download it direct from this link http://downloadreimage.com/download.php. (This link will automatically start a download of Reimage that you can save to your computer.)

I have been successfully using Outlook 2007 to access emails from a Microsoft Exchange account until a few days ago. Suddenly, I was automatically offline as soon as I turned on Outlook, and when I tried to go online, I would immediately received a disconnected message.

I deleted my entire email profile via the Windows 10 Control Panel, but have not been able to create a new Outlook email account because I cannot connect to the Exchange server.

I have since been able to access my Microsoft Exchange account using another email client and using Windows 10 mail, so the issue must be with Outlook 2007, not with my PC.

How do I fix this so I can use Outlook 2007 to access my Microsoft Exchange emails again?

Hello gang!

I have an odd issue that I haven't seen before. It seems that we have some, including myself, a small latency switching between folders (About 3-5 seconds). Since my computer and email account is brand spanking new (IE only 40 emails total) I shouldn't have any problems here. Another colleague doesn't seem to be affected by this, but he is using Mac version of Outlook.

One thing a user mentioned is that after a domain migration (I wasn't here for that) that's when she noticed the issue. My account however was made after that so I'm a little puzzled about why this is happening.

I have a user w/ a Dell Latitude laptop. Anyone who logs into the device is unable to access our Exchange server through Outlook OR the OWA. Several other internet sites give a "please enable TLS 1.0/1.1/1.2" warning. These sites all work properly
in Chrome.
I have tried refreshing the PC. Worked at first, then a couple hours later resumed the same behavior.
Issue persists both on internal wifi and via cable connection.
The employee who uses the device is able to access Exchange from other devices. It seems to be an issue with this one device, even after the OS was reinstalled. No one who logs into it can access Exchange or other internet HTTPS resources.
I did recently limit the SSL/TLS ciphers clients are allowed to use per this bulletin: https://technet.microsoft.com/library/security/ms15-031. However, this applied to all domain computers & no other devices are having this issue.
I'd appreciate any ideas anyone could throw out.

My friend experienced a powerful power outage that fried her WiFi router and caused Outlook 2013 to stop working.  I used Microsoft's online fix tool.  It now is working as far as receiving emails from her ISP, however I cannot register the software.  Microsoft takes me into an endless loop of putting in the product key and then jumps to her account (which was deleted and she had to sign up again) and will not register the software.
So she paid for it through Amazon, has the product key and Microsoft after 3 days on online chat and phone calls cannot help.
Does anyone know how I can get this software registered and working again for her???
Microsoft is so frustrating to deal with and their support people do not have a clue!  I have searched all over the internet for a solution and have tried all recommendations, such as runas admin, put product key in, shut down open as normal and it continues to have the red bar at the top and telling me it's an unregistered product.
Thank you in advance.

I didnt know what other section to post this in so my apologies if this needs to be moved.

I have a work email available through an exchange server via my mobile device. Using these exact same settings I am unable to setup that email with Microsoft Outlook Express 6 on my Win XP Pro computer. I am assuming it is security settings on my companies side. When I try to setup the account from home, using the same settings as my phone, I receive an error. "Outlook could not log on. Check to make sure you are connected to the network and are using the proper server and mailbox name. Network problems are preventing connection to the Microsoft Server computer."

Is there an application that will emulate a mobile device so I am able to use outlook with my work email from home?

I did download Microsoft's Windows Mobile 5 emulator, which is an emulated smartphone. I can access email though that, but I want to be able to use outlook.

My smartphone used to sync with the office Exchange Server, but I now want to sync my Outlook contacts with my home PC using standalone Outlook 2003. My PC runs XP SP2 and ActiveSync 4.5. Smartphone is Windows Mobile 6 Standard.

It looks as if I cannot sync Exchage Server contacts to standalone Outlook - if I try to switch to synching with Outlook it tells me the contacts on my phone will be deleted. Is there a safe way of diong this? I would rather retype all my contacts from the phone screen than risk losing them - I can no longer access my former office's Exchange Server.

User with full access to two mailboxes, has two profiles set up and can choose when going into Outlook. What user would like like is to have both open sessions open i.e two sessions of outlook with the two profiles. But when opening Outlook in 'A' profile and then trying to open second session of outlook in 'B' profile what happens is it opens in 'A' session?

I have created to shortcuts with the command switches /profile profilename etc, and these work fine if opened separately i.e opens in the correct profiles. But when 1 session is open and you select the other shortcut with second profile, it just opens in the 1st profile.

We have recently upgraded to Office 2007, and even more recently Exchange server. The problem is whenever we launch Outlook it continually asks for a password. On investigation, this disappears if the LAN settings are disabled. The problem with that is we loose internet connection. We do use a proxy server. As a work-around we can disable the LAN settings in IE7and connect to the internet with Mozilla using manual proxy settings, but surely IE7 and Outlook 2007 must be compatible?

Any solutuions greatly appreciated.

I'm runing XP and installed Outlook 2007 on my PC. Because I traveled to multiple sites, I kept a copy of my company's exchange server details and entered them at whatever site I was at to get to my email, etc..

I tried entering them when I set up Outlook at home and they didn't work for security issues. I can't seem to delete them and use my outlook for my gmail account.

I open Outlook and it tries to "Configure Outlook Accounts".

Then it opens a Microsoft Exchange box with the Exchange server and Mailbox. I can't delete the fields and don't have a good exchange server to use. I click "Cancel" and then it opens another error box stating...

"Cannot open your default email folders. The file C:\Documents and Settings\YertDeer\Local Settings\Application data\Microsoft\Outlook\outlook.ost is not an offline folder."

I click OK and it shuts down Outlook completely. I searched the forums and found a similar problem solved for 2003 user, but wouldn't work for me.

Thanks for any assistance.

When I overlay say the meeting room calendar with my default exchange calendar, I notice that it seems to default the meeting room calendar as my main calendar. So everytime I create an appointment or try to add one, it automatically attempts to save this in the meeting room calendar. If the calendars are in side-by-side view then my exchange calendar remains the default.

Anyone know how i can keep my exchange calendar as default when the calendars are in overlay stack view?

Thanks in advance

A:Outlook Calendar using Exchange Server

In overlay view, one is able to see all the event on all calendars at once, however they are still different calendars and each one has its own tab.
You must select your calendar (and thus bring it to the forefront) when creating events. However if you click an area where an event is already scheduled on the other calendar, then it will think you mean to edit it and will bring the other calendar to the forefront, as a result your new event will be on the wrong calendar. In that instance, take the calendars out of overlay view to properly schedule your event.
The bottom line is that your default calendar is ignored if you physically select a different calendar to create a new event, no matter what view you are using.

When trying to open outlook 2003 to set email accounts after about a minute I get the following message " The connection to the Microsoft Exchange Server is unavailable. Outlook must be online to complete this action" when I click ok get a window to type the server name and mailbox name, type the required names and click on "check names" again takes about a minute or two and get the following message " The name could not be resolved. The connection to the microsoft exchange server is unavailable. Outlook must be online to complete this action". I know the server and user names are correct and the PC is connected to the network (I can access the server with the administrator account). I haven't been able to set any POP3 accounts either because outlook will open only to give me the messages estated earlier.

I work for a large company. Because of their licensing arrangement, they gave me permission to download/install MS Office 2000. I did so over the internet. I wanted to create a profile to connect to their Exchange Server. However - from the control panel - under "Mail" - its comments read "Microsoft Outlook Profiles". It does not permit the creation of the proper profile. I have another PC, which already had Office 2003 on it. On the control panel, the comments for "Mail" read "Microsoft Office Outlook Profiles". Note the word Office. From there I could create a profile to connect to the server. It's as if on the first PC it didn't recognize that Office had been installed. How can I get it to connect?

BTW, both have Windows XP Home SP2 on them.

Hi, we have about 20 users in our office connected into Exchange server via Outlook 2007 using thier active directory details.
On each users Outlook, I have ticked the "Connect to Microsoft Exchange using HTTP" box in the Connection tab of the Email Account settings which I was told removes the need for users to enter any login details when they open Outlook because they are already logged into the Domain which is tied into thier user mailbox.
The vast majority of the time this works perfectly and the users never need to enter thier login details when opening Outlook and connecting to the Exchange server to retrieve thier mailbox, however sometimes the login box appears over and over again on a single machine and even when they enter the correct details it keeps on popping up and not connecting to Exchange. After a restart or recreating the email account in control panel > mail settings this usually works again but it isn't exactly ideal.

Has any body got any ideas why this is happening or any ideas on how to fix it?

I think it might be that the user is losing connectivity to the Exchange server but both the users laptop and Exchange server are good spec and the network and domain is accesible from the users laptop while Outlook is asking for logon.
