I recommend downloading and running Reimage. It's a computer repair tool that has been proven to identify and fix many Windows problems with a high level of success.

I've used it in the past to identify and fix everything from blue screens (BSOD's), ActiveX errors, corrupt files and processes, dll/exe/sys errors, recover lost memory, Windows update problems, defragging, malware removal etc.

You can download it direct from this link http://downloadreimage.com/download.php. (This link will automatically start a download of Reimage that you can save to your computer.)

Hello, I'm an owner of Y520 that I bought less than a month ago and in the past few days, I have been experiencing a strange keyboard issue. At seemingly random times, several random keys will become completely unresponsive. The keys will work fine all day except for a few minutes here and there. For example, my 'e' 'g' 'h' '8' '9' and 'FN' keys just stopped working for about 3 minutes, now they are obviously working fine again. Sometimes it's for more than a few minutes and can be a nuisance.I've also noticed sometimes holding the key down for a while will fix it. I'm wondering if there's some sort of fix that I can try when this happens so that I don't have to take it to an authorized service center.Furthermore, I've noticed that there are more people having the same issue with the same keys as there are videos about it on Youtube. I bought my laptop in Europe but currently live in Canada so I am a bit worried if it is possible to find an authorized repair center. Thanks for any help.

Bin fr jeden Hinwei dankbar.

I bought the Legion Y520 back in March or April and now the USB ports are constantly disconnecting and reconnecting intermittently. This happens both with my phone as well as my external periphreals such as my mouse. Windows says the USB is unrecognized and to verify USB ports are working properly. According to my Device Manager, all are up to date and no issues. Hoping there isn't a malfunction with the motherboard.

I installed a WD Black 256G NVMe M.2 in my Legion Y520. Got Windows 10 installed in the SSD and Fedora 26 GNU/Linux in the HDD (1TB Seagate).  Everything is good in Windows. But when I use Fedora, the SSD, overheat badly (80-90C) and eventually shut itself down eventough it is not being used at all (it is not even mounted). This also happens in GRUB and ubuntu 16.04 (live USB). WD denied any support, they just say they are not optimized for Linux.

Viele Gre

This is the second time that happens. Now I do not want to reset and loose all my programs installed on it. Please give me a safe and 100% solution for that. I already look up for it and found dozens of suggestions but I m not sure since this is my very new pc and so is better have a solution from you LENOVO. Endless looping boot is what happens. Or when I try to fix in the blue screen, I have actually only one option because all the rest goes and does not conclude saying it's not possible to do. Only option that works is to reset loosing all my programs already in it. Did once, in it won't do it again. Need a solution ASAP. Hello,First of all let me apologies if I'm posting this In the wrong place. I'm new to the forums .2 months ago I bought a lenoo legion laptop, and 3 days ago my apartment was robbed. I already have contacted the police and given them the information from the laptops original box. I have some questions  if anyone can help out or a Lenovo representative . The police wanted the Mac address of my card , can I obtain it from Lenovo by providing my laptop information? Also I've read in Google ( may be wrong ) that Lenovo can blacklist/lock in some way your laptop if it's stolen. I tried calling the number provided for my country but they told me they are only dealing with the warranty .I know that the chance of the police locating it is low, but I want to try and help. I also heard that your ISP can give you your Mac address , but I'm being a little suspicious of them .  So to keep this short, if anyone can help in any way , it'll be appreciated alot!

Hey all,  Just recently bought a Lenovo Y520 gaming laptop. Overall very satisified with it! Last week I added an SSD drive to it and decided to do a fresh reformat from the BIOS so the laptop would run at full power without any bloatware holding it back.  Did the reformat sucessfully, installed all drivers, and now the laptop is running perfectly, except for one thing.  Since the reformat, Wifi has been giving me constant problems. I've tried just about every solution available on the net but so far have had no luck. It's main issue is: when I go to power on the laptop after being turned off for an extended period of time (at least 8-10 hours), there's no wifi at all whatsoever. Windows doesn't detect my wifi at all, even under network adapters! I've downloaded the latest drivers directly from Lenovo and even took it one step further by getting direct drivers from intel themselves. In this condition, it only detects my ethernet port, so when I go to diagnose it, it doesn't consider Wifi an issue because it doesn't think it exists.  The ONLY solution to get Wifi to work for me is to restart the computer at least once, load up the BIOS, go to the Configurations tab and disable/re-enable Wireless Lan. After that, I boot it with the saved changes and boom, Wifi suddenly works again. Thing is, I shouldn't have to do this every time to get Wifi to work. Before the reformat, the Wifi was working absolutely fine with no issues whatso... Read more

Hey guys, I just bought this computer today and I have encountered this problem. When I go to control panel -> display / dxdiag / AIDA64, I can only see Intel HD 630, but not my GTX 1050. I have tried reinstalling latest drivers and I changed the settings in NVIDIA control panel. I am using Windows 10 Pro. Thank you

Hi Adomce123,

Welcome to the Community Forums.

Have you tried running dx diag with a high graphic application software running alongside?

The automatic switch from Intel to NVIDIA would happen when there is demand for it thus you were allowed to re install NVIDIA drivers and use the NVIDIA control setting since it was available in your system. This can also be checked in your device manager as well as lenovo diagnostics to confirm if the NVIDIA device if available.

Try going in the BIOS and verify options under Configuration Menu for graphic device to run on Discrete or UMA only as option. F10 to save setting before exit.

Update us how it goes.

Regards

Hello
So i bought Lenovo Legion, a close to high end gaming laptop.
So far im very happy with it, but got a question.
The Lenovo Nerve Sence software offers a special fan turbo speed which when turning on, bring the 2 fans to their top speeds for cooling while gaming. while in the same time i also got a Thermaltake cooling pad.

My question is, what should i use?
The FanBoost or the cooling pad?
The reason im asking it is that the cooling pad is bulky and pretty heavy, with the 120mm fan and the aluminum plate, not very convenient as far as using while in bed. also its sharp corners are annoying.

As far as i know, the turbo fan is designed to work with games, and its a gaming laptop, an advanced gaming laptop, so do i really need a cooling pad?
