Why OneKey Recovery does not work after installing latest update of windows 10? I have updated windows today (14 Oct 2017). I think the latest version of windows 10 has been installed on my laptop now. After installing this latest version of windows 10, I am unable to make system backup using pre-installed OneKey Recovery Software in my Lenovo Yoga500 14ISK laptop. An another issue is I found a windows.old folder in my system drive which is using approximately 15 GB. It is a very disturbing thing to me. It is appearing after installing the updates. I recommend downloading and running Reimage. It's a computer repair tool that has been proven to identify and fix many Windows problems with a high level of success.

Hi, I have Yoga 500 which has a i5 6200U. It came installed with Windows 10.I get my backup with last version of OneKey Recovery before the serviced. Backup is 120 GB.After the service, I try to install my backup but it doesn't work. I tried different ways. 1- I try to do that with OneKey Recovery on my desktop. After the restart, there is a blue screen and diffrent alternative options.-First, I choose connect a device (DVD, Usb HDD etc.) and after than I choose my external hard disk which is include backup files. 4 seconds later, nothing gonna happen and Window 10 start as ever as. It doesn't work.-Second, I choose other option (Repair etc.). After then I choose System Image ... ( I don't remember the full name). I try to sellect my backup.wpi file and others files, but it doesn't work also.2- I try to do that with Novo Button. I choose System Recovery. There is a same screen with the OneKey Recovery. I try the do same steps but it doesn't work also.3-I'm sure that my backup is doesn't have a problem but I create a new backup for trying. It doesn't work also.*I also try to format my laptop to Install Windows 8 but I can't. I disable UEFI mode and other bios options but nothing gonna change. I have very important datas on my backup. On the Lenovo Onekey Recovery, I selected the option to restore system partition to its initial status. Now I'm not sure what this does exactly, but it then asked for what language I wanted to use and then username and password. And before I could type in anything, the screen turn black and no matter what I did, it wouldn't budge from there. Now I don't know if I accidentally removed windows and I don't know how to get it back. Does anyone know what options I have?

Will Lenovo release a fix for critical vulnerabilities in Intel Management Engine for my Lenovo Yoga 500-14ISK? I have not found it on the official Lenovo list, but Intel's tool says it's vulnerable. I have Intel ME firmware version 11.0.0.1197 and it's a Skylake version of this Yoga notebook. I have a Lenovo IdeaPad Z470 that had Windows 7 Home Basic and upgraded itself to Windows 10.When I want to recover to the factory state with OneKey Recovery within Windows 10 the program says that there is an error and recommends reinstalling, but it is useless.If I want to recover externally with the NOVO button it boots with the standard Windows 10 recovery procedure and I can not take it to the original state.Could Windows 10 have changed anything? This laptop refuses Windows 7. How are you supposed to install Windows 7 successfully to this machine? It does not matter how you prepare the media installation, what distribution image you use of the operating system, what settings you enable and disable in the BIOS. All attempts result in the freezing of the Windows 7 logo upon setup initalizatin followed by a blue screen that says The BIOS in this system is s not fully ACPI compliant.This ridiculous error is usually fixed by simply updating the BIOS. There is no option to change the disk controller settings. There is no option to specifically enable Windows 7 support. BIOS has been flashed to the current build as the previous build did not produce successful results either. I am not sure if USB 3.0 support has anything to do with this problem but I have not found a workaround. My laptop is less than a week old. OneKey Revovery worked until I updated Windows 10 and Updated the Version to 8.1 Now when I click on the icon it shows up on the task bar but there is no program there to go to. If I hover over it to show the thumb preview it is just a blank screen.Can I roll this program back to be able to use or what is the fix?

I have some problems with the Lenovo software. Lenovo Account Portal does not launch Lenovo Companion and Lenovo Settings. Also, Lenovo Solution Center is missing from the Start Menu. The second problem is that some tiles are blank in Start Menu. Seemingly it's the apps that aren't Metro. I'm not sure when the problem started, but I think it was like that since I got the PC. If I right click the apps, the only option will be "Pin to Start", and with some apps: Share and Rate. Here's a picture of the problem:I did already try:Restarting the PC.Doing scannow, DISM, and scannow again.Fixing Registry errors with CCleaner.Updating BIOS and drivers. What can I do to fix the problem?

Hi. I've bought a Yoga Home 900 27" at Amazon warehouse, but there is no Lenove specific software on it (Aura, Games, ...)  I've tried to reset the Yoga to factory settings with the F2 hint by "Kalvin Klein", but this won't work for me :-(  How can I get the Yoga Home 900 specific Software? I saw, that I can download Aura from the support area, but this won't bring me the games. To honest, I would prefer to do a clean factory reset with the onekey recovery. But if this won't be possible, maybe I can get the software from here or anywhere? Any help is really appreciated. Thanks Christian

Hello,I'm facing some little problems that a clean install would definately solve them, but I'm afraid that if I install onekey recovery afterwords, it won't be or can't be 100% integrated with the system. There's this novo key on the side that it brings onekey recovery if i shut my laptop and then press it, would it work later after a clean install of windows OS and reinstalling onekey recovery?Is there anything that is really useful by Lenovo that I'm going to miss out on, if i do a clean install? Getting message to say I have used 119G of 119G.  This could not possibly be correct.  As far as I can see there is no disk partition, only a C:   Since new I have installed very little software and a couple of apps.  Please help

Someone would need more info to help.  What kind of machine?  Operating system?  Disk size?  Why are you sure the message is wrong?  A 128GB SSD could easily have 119GB of usable space with almost all being gone.

Good day everyone,I just recently bought a new laptop which is a lenovo ideapad 110-14isk. When I booted it up, I noticed that it can't respond quickly so I opened task manager and saw that disk usage is always at 100%. Due to this, even shutting down takes a long time and seldom I force it to shut down because it is very unresponsive. I observed the laptop for a few days and found out that windows update was slowing it. I disabled the Windows Update Service, and when I rebooted it, the disk usage is at normal levels. So my question is, how can I update my laptop? and is there any way to use Windows Update without the laptop lagging? Hope you can help me. Thanks in advance.

I got on my Lenovo z50-70  today and as it turned on I got a message saying Application error saying "Application has generated an exception that could not be handled. Process ID=0Xa84 (6788) Thread ID=0x1118(4376) Cick OK to terminate the application  or click Cancel to debug the application."   then all of a sudden the PC shutdown giving the error "PC has run into a problem and had to shutdown. The stop code waa DRIVER IRQL NOT LESS OR EQUAL   What failed was tidsvycf.sys"  and as the laptop rebooted it ran a disk check but then as the laptop restarts and works for less than a minute but then it goes back to Application Error. I've tried clicking OK and cancel and neither work.  This kept happening for a while so I decided to go to System Recovery to reset my laptop back to factory settings. Which I've done in the past when my laptop got stuck on updates. But this time when I got on OneKey Recovery I got the error saying "program can't find initial backup image". Attached is the picture.. Now how do I factory reset my laptop..  When I got the laptop it was Windows 8. I upgraded it to Windows 10 using assisting technologies. So it was a windows 10.

So, this is my problem. One day my Windows 10 started bsoding, freezing.. So I decided to reinstall it. I downloaded ISO from Microsoft. I burned it to 16 GB USB Stick to GPT with Rufus software. When i was installing, I accidentally deleted partitions a wiped fully hard drive.. And now when I enter Recovery it just boots Windows 10.. Nothing else.. Is there way to make a new one? Please answer.

Ive been having issue with my lenovo G580 laptop. Its been stuck in a constant startup repair loop.

Using posts on this forum, ive tried to rectify the problem myself but realised its beyond me but Ive made changes using the DISKPART feature of windows at the command prompt stage, and I think ive disabled the recovery options.

Ive tried to use the onekey recovery service preinatlled onto the laptop. Usually just press the recovery button, next to the power button but pressing this now just boots into the system repair loop.

Does anyone know how I can rectify this?

You can try setting the recovery partition active using partition wizard boot disk, then rebooting to try one key recovery again. There should also be a way to relink recovery to the one key button.

But the factory install is an inferior install to begin with so you'd be better off doing the reinstall in the tutorial under signature picture below.

Hello,I've been experiencing some terrible fan noise, now for the third time. I had the fan replaced twice and the noise keeps returning after a month or so.The main problem is the quality of the fan, it just bends and then touches the "frame".Anyone experiencing the same? or I'm just an extremely unlucky person with two bad fans?I'm looking for a longlasting solution, I cannot replace the fan every month.cheers

After i upgraded to BIOS 2XCN30WW(V2.05) dated 2017/06/21 i started to experience lags and temporary freezes (for 20/30 seconds and it would recover) while using windows 10 creators edition.The lag/freeze can be described as a period of time every 10 minutes or so in which the computer stops responding to keyboard input and eventually to mouse movements, if you had a youtube video or audio playing in the background it starts coming out distorted, everything makes you think there is something hogging the CPU or RAM, it recovers itself after 20 or 30 seconds, sometimes less than that.I first blamed Slack Client but quickly found that it didn't have anything to do. It didn't seem related to load as the CPU/RAM usage in Task Manager remained low during these periods.I then blamed a recent Windows Update patch , which i rolled back prompty without noticing any changes.My last option and what ultimately resolved the issue is the rolling back the BIOS upgrade that i applied at about the same time of the windows patch.I enabled the Allow Back-Flash option in BIOS setup and rolled back to version 2XCN29WW, and the problem dissapeared for good, and just to confirm that the BIOS was to blame after a few days of happy computing i decided to give the new BIOS another try and TADAH! soon after the update the freeze/lags started again.I just wanted to share this with you guys in hopes that if you are having similar issues you can resolve them using this message.And since Lenovo doesn't seem... Hello. I apologize if this question has been asked before, but I read everything I could find on partitions and onekey recovery but I still do not understand the concept. I have a few questions for you.I purchased Lenovo Yoga 720 15inch version from best buy. The hard drive size is 256gb SSD. However, when I finished setting up the laptop, I noticed that my Local Drive (C) has only 192 space left. Right next to the Drive C, there is Drive D, which has 25gb space allocated by uses 1.7gb for Driver and YMC software only. There is nothing else in the drive, only drivers. As of now, after I installed all the programs necessary for me work, I have just 158gb space left in my Drive C. I would like to increase that space. I spoke to Lenovo on the phone and the guy told me that there is hidden partition in the drive for Lenovo Onekey recovery, which I do not think I need because I have done Windows reset before and successfully set up the clean format. Here are my questions for you. 1. Can I delete Drive D partition and merge it with Drive C without messing up my operating system? I have already backed up drivers from Drive D onto my external hard drive, and I would like to delete Drive D and merge it with Drive C. Please let me know if this is possible. 2. I am having issues with onekey recovery because I am trying to factory reset my laptop. I have used it before without issues, but I believe it may have happened after I tried out Windows 10 but then reverted back to Windows 7. If I try to use OneKey recovery through the program, when I select the option to reformat, it just restarts my computer normally. If I try to use the onekey recovery key on the keyboard, it just turns on my computer normally. Any solutions to this issue?

Hello, Just received this laptop yesterday and liking it so far. Trying to update as many drivers as possible which lenovo seems to make difficult with their own customs one. One of the drivers is the Intel HD Graphics one, which provides an error when i do a solution centre scan - forget this issue for a sec, apparently this is a false positive but is fixed by newer drivers. When I go to install the latest Intel VGA driver for my machine (updated 12/8/16), i get through the installation and then get an error message when it finishes up telling me the  "The driver being installed is not validated for this computer. Please obtain the appropriate driver from the manufacturor" Of course when i go to install one direct from intel I also get this message. I'm not sure what to do from here? Why is the driver on the Lenovo website not recognised? The driver remains on an old version (now over a year old). Help would be much appreciated. Thanks in advance, Jack

Hi guys,  Got my yoga last month and it's been okay, bit slow to load from sleep but it's done the job. Only thing is its now in a permanent sleep mode. I've tried re-charging it from zero battery, hard reset, putting the lid up and down, combining that with hard reset too. what to do? Do I have to send it somewhere? The specification of this model when I bought it said "1x DisplayPort (combo with HDMI)".However I have tried to connect my Displayport monitor and it does not work. There is no technical documentation and the Lenovo call centre were unhelpful and then hung up on me.

I have Lenovo Yoga 500-14ISK with Intel Core i7-6500U CPU and NVIDIA GeForce 940M GPU. Today when I was playing Rocket League on it while monitoring the temperatures I've noticed that the CPU temperature was max. 94 Celsius degrees and GPU temperature was max. 82 Celsius degrees. This is actually quite hot. Is it normal in this laptop? Are these temperatures safe to it? I was so scared by these temperatures that I've uninstalled that game from my laptop.

My keyboard stopped suddenly working. First the mousepad froze and when I got it working I realized that the keyboard isn't working. When I try to click anywhere it immediately starts typing "zzzzzzz..." and won't stop. I am currently using my laptop in tablet mode. I was able to type a, q and 1 when holding down the letter z, but I updated the bios and now nothing works (I was previously also able to 'disable' the letter z, when holding it down with the buttons next to it). While I love the tablet, I am currently experiencing keyboard issues. When I pressY key or the number 6 I get the number y and 6 (y6)T key or the number 5 I get the number t and 5 (t5)Hyphen '-' key or the left square bracket '[' I get left square bracket and hyphen ( [- )Equals '=' key or the right square bracket ']' I get right square bracket and equals ( ]= ) Output in parenthesis   The caps lock button works, but it also mutes the sound on the device. The mute key works, but also puts the keyboard in caps lock.The backspace button does not delete any previous text - it takes me to the Windows Lock Screen. Ironically, when typing my password at this screen the backspace key works (go fig). When pressing the volume up key, the sound goes down.  When I press any of these keys [-]= alongside shift in an attempt to produce the alternative key output (e.g. capitalizing the key or alternative symbols) the key is unresponsive. Such as the case of t and y - there's no capitalization when holding shift or caps lock. Keys are not responsive when holding shift. Hi My laptop is just 3 months old, has been working fine up till  now. All of a sudden it won't connect to wifi, or it will for a second then go off again. Yesterday all options for wifi went completely missing, in the toolbar on the bottom right hand side, the icon for wifi had dissappearEd and when I went into settings,wifi settings had gone from there too. The icons are back now and I could connect to my wifi, but it says there is no Internet connection. There is Internet through the wifi though because I'm using my phone on the wifi!! I tried to disconnect from the wifi and economy again but it has been trying to connect to the wifi for the last 10 mins! Help!!!! Thankso Jamie

Please update the WLAN Drivers & reboot the system.

WLAN Driver (Liteon, Realtek, Broadcom) for Windows 10 (64-bit)

Hello. I from Belarus and sorry for my bad English.I write in this forum because our support couldn't help me. So, I bought a yoga in February. This lapton is wonderful. I choice it for a very long time because for me it was a very important and expensive thing. But.. in april this happened. At first everything was invisible, but every day more and more.I'm studying for a programmer and for me it was unpleasant. Most of all it was a pity that I chose the laptop because of the convenient keyboard. I writing in support, but they said, that I'm need to go to the service center. But he is 400 km away from me. They said, that I need to wait for evaluation and repair time. I can not afford it financially.Now I looked through many forums, this problem turned out only for me. It's very insulting.I know that you do not do such trifles. Just you last chance not to be disappointed in the purchase. Help me please. Thank you for attention!
