Replacement feet for 1st gen Helix

Q: Replacement feet for 1st gen Helix

Title kind of says it all. I've lost the back set of rubber feet on my 1st gen Helix and it's starting to strach the bottom up and the laptop slides pretty easy now. Where can I find replacement or is it even possible?

I recommend downloading and running Reimage. It's a computer repair tool that has been proven to identify and fix many Windows problems with a high level of success.

I've used it in the past to identify and fix everything from blue screens (BSOD's), ActiveX errors, corrupt files and processes, dll/exe/sys errors, recover lost memory, Windows update problems, defragging, malware removal etc.

You can download it direct from this link http://downloadreimage.com/download.php. (This link will automatically start a download of Reimage that you can save to your computer.)

A: Replacement feet for 1st gen Helix

I don't have the part to look at, but the rubber feet are usually part of a base misc. part kit. For the Helix, the number is 04x0526

Comp is a Compaq presario SR2017CL. Proc is amd athlon 64bit 3800 2.4ght
the ram is two 512mb 1rx8 pc2-4200u-444 3.7-A My hard drive is SATA and It also has a light scribe cd/dvd burner. The mobo in some areas look like it got really hot where there are a lot of caps. Idk how to repair it... so Im looking for a mobo that can run my cpu, heat sink and ram with pci e slot. Maybe a decent mobo that i can later upgrade to am3 or duo proc. price range 1-$150 wanting it to play games decently. Thanks for the help!
I was looking at these MOBOs but they seem to be newer then what i have to run. Links are from newegg.com

A:My MOBO went 6 feet under, I need a replacement

Researched a bit, finding that the amd athlon 64 3800 is 939 pin... which makes my range of mobo drop for better procs. Highest upgrade is a amd athlon 64 x2... cheapest route for me because I won't have to get new ram proc psu right away. Please correct me if I'm wrong or have a cheap way of building a gaming comp.

Hello everyone! I recently purchased a laptop but it was barely usable out of the box. Not sure if the HDD was bad or if it was preloaded with too much stuff. Audio was lagging, file explorer would hang on quick access view, overall slow response to clicking, typing pretty much anything. So I decided to install a SSD. Followed the instructions and all of my problems went away. Due to questionable design I had to remove two rubber feet in the process. Now they simply look tampered with and one won't stay on securely. I wanted to buy the replacement part 856796-001 only to find out HP wants $54 before any shipping fees (if any I haven't bothered to check after I saw the price). Seems way too much for four tiny pieces of rubber. Do you guys know of any other sellers? I mean all of this seems like a bad deal to me. I am even considering returing this laptop. Thanks.

Several of our 2nd gen/20A7 carbons have lost their circular rubber feet on the bottom. All the units are less than a year old but Lenovo has told me that this wouldn't be covered under the warranty. Not a big deal, but I'm having an impossible time finding the feet to buy on my own. They aren't listed on any of Lenovo's part lists for the X1 and I've only seen feet for the X220/230 units on 3rd party sites. I'm hoping someone on the boards here is familiar with the part. Thanks

Lenovo did end up shipping me replacement feet under warranty, which was a very nice surprise. If anyone has a similar issue and runs across this thread, the part number for the replacement rubber feet kit is HT096. As of writing this I wasn't able to find any references to that number other than on the paperwork with the shipment, but it may just be a new PN.

I have been trying to find a rubber foot to replace one that is missing from base cover on my Lenovo Yoga 12 - MTM: 20DK-S1WL00 Without the foot, my tablet wobbles when I type. It is so annoying. It doesn't seem they are available from Lenovo. The only place I have found the replacement rubber foot / FRU 01AW571 was here on eBay. The feet on eBay are expensive! I rather purchase directly from Lenovo if I can. Please help!

Hi Guys, The fan on my laptop had been making an insane amount of noise and the computer had been overheating and shutting down for quite some time. So finally I took the liberty to order a replacement part from Ebay. The disassembly was a breeze, the part fit in perfectly and reassembly wasn't bad either. But when I tried to power up, the fan would spin for a few seconds and then shut down, nothing on the screen. So by process of elimination, I figured out that if I left the cable connecting the bottom accessories to the motherboard disconnected, it worked fine. Fan is spinning correctly, no overheating issues. Of course that leaves with no functioning docstation essentially. I cannot use the speakers, USB or even the power source from the docking station. Any ideas here? Is there a specific pattern that I am supposed to reconnect the cables? I am attaching a picture with the cable circled in red just for references. Thanks!

Hello Community I have a ThinkPad Helix (1st Gen) N3Z6CGES running Windows 10. Bought it back in 2013.Long time i was very happy with the device. Smaller issues, no big deals.Among others: Some static Windows control buttons burnt into the screen. Therefore, in September 2017 I decided to give it to a certified dealer, before my ThinkPlus service runs out. They changed the screen and since the Helix has this new screen, I have the same problem as it is seen in this video:Lenovo Yoga 3 14 freaking around... But then again I needed my notebook very urgently, saw the problem and didn't have the opportunity to give it to repair again.I improvised and turned off the touch screen in the Device Manager. I could only use the digitizer, but at least i was able to work with the Helix. Few days ago there was a Windows update and i noticed that this update resetted my settings in the device manager. I was able to use the touch input completely problem-free again and felt happy like a little child, not knowing how much is missed this comfort! The problem w... Read more

One of the two "feet" on my 15 month old XPS13 laptop came loose and after two attempts to cut and save the rest, I had to pull the entire foot off. Now the rough edge is a problem. How do I obtain a reasonably priced replacement to glue into place? I own two of these laptops and I'm concerned that I'll end up replacing all of them, so do you have a better adhesive to use than was first used during manufacture?

A:Replacement "feet" for XPS 13 laptop

Your best bet is to contact Dell support. There is a chance they may offer it for free as a one time deal, but if not I imagine it will be a relatively low cost part to obtain from them.

My Dell Inspiron desktop from 2009 has 2 swing-out rear stability feet. They have broken, and I have to do a balance dance to get the thing to turn on and STAY on. Can I buy new feet? Can I just yank both of them off, and see what happens? Can I yank them off and experiment with thicknesses of cardboard, like a rickety restaurant chair? Sounds idiotic, I know - but dropping a heavy book in the same room is sometimes enough for it to crash. Not ready to replace this - still runs fine - unless you drop a book, or bump the desk with your toe. Thanks.

The rubber feet on the bottom of my laptop have all come off. I still have them. (see pics)

Is there a knack to popping them back or should I get the superglue out ?

Depends - the best way to do it is indeed to change the screen text size using the display control panel applet (125 or 150% works great at a distance). You only need to change it and logoff once, so that's your best bet.

Hello,

I recently got some work done on my laptop as my charging port was damage. There was also some cosmetic damage to the side my laptop. (I didn't know that was covered under warranty, so I was impressed)

Anyway in order to access the casing they must have removed one of the rubber feet to access the screws. When I got it back from the HP Repair centre, one of the rubber feet kept coming off and I kept sticking it back on but it just wasn't for staying.

So today its came off somewhere and I cannot find it, I've been on the move a lot today so I wouldn't really know where to find it, for all I know its dropped and stuck onto something else and because its not something you generally notice unless you look I never noticed until now.

Anyway I read in this thread: http://h30434.www3.hp.com/t5/Hardware-Upgrades-Replacements/Missing-Rubber-feet-on-my-laptop/td-p/41... that you can get them from the HP Parts store, so I went there and entered my product number and No Results. I enter my Serial Number and No Results. I enter my product name and...you guessed it - No Results.

Serial number: [Personal Information Removed]
Product number: K6C60EA#ABU

Sony Vaio NW series with Windows 7 64bit Home Premium, and Atheros AR928x wireless card

If laptop is next to router, signal strength is 4-5 bars and works perfectly. If laptop is moved move than 10 feet away, internet drops off completely.

Changed all channels, updated drivers, rolled back drivers, re-installed entire os system, bought a brand new router (BT Home Hub 3), turned off firewall and anti-virus, had a computer company open it up and checked the card is attached properly, spent 90 mins on phone to ISP changing every setting, still get the same issue.

Any other device connects perfectly to the wireless network in the house. No matter what room it is in.

The laptop can still see the wireless device from any room, but yellow icon, limited connectivity and blocks all access unless next to router.

What is causing this? Appreciate any advice you guys can offer.

The rubber foot on my P51 battery is a few millimeters longer than the rubber foot on its right so the laptop wobbles when placed on a perfectly flat and even surface. I've had very bad experiences with Lenovo warranty services, I sent a ticket through the online system and I expect it to be ignored or cancelled because that's what they did with my previous tickets, and then I'll probably have to call, and then they'll probably direct me to premium services which will make me pay for a non-solution to my problem that I end up solving myself by paying for replacement parts that are supposed to be covered by my warranty, so I thought I'd post here so I can just know what the solution is directly and pay for it even though I shouldn't need to. Anyways, does any one else have this issue? And how can it be fixed?

Wireless between the buildings is not out of the question; but, I've never done anything this distance before and I am concerned that signal loss over 660 feet might degrade throughput.

So I bought my IdeaPad Flex 15 last summer. One of the rubber back feet came off, and I can't find it. Ergo, of course, I"d like to buy a replacement. I chatted with Lenovo and they could not find one. I did find a thread earlier that asked this (not sure of front or back rubber feet) and they did not get a response. I have read on this board that other models have some kind of parts kit that costs $54 and includes two feet. While I'd much prefer to buy just the feet, I can see how Lenovo can consider this to not be economical. Ergo, I'll pay for such a kit if I am sure that it works for my laptop. HELP! Any pointers here are much appreciated! And I do realize how important these feet are: without them there is no air circulation to the vents on the bottom. Methinks my laptop is better off not overheating, though YMMV.

First check to be sure you did not get one of those Ad Ware/SpyWare programs downloaded to your PC. You may want to download AdAware and see if your system has one of them.

Next check for temporary files and delete them. Start>Settings>CP>internetOptions>DeleteFiles. It's good to do this on a regular basis. In fact I suggest you select, under the Advanced tab, "Empty Tempoary Internet Files when browser is closed". That will clear them for you.

Next do this, Start>Find>Files, key in *.tmp,~*.* and press enter. Delete anything it finds. Leave the stuff in the recylce bin for a day or two but you should not need any of it.

Then look here for junk, Start>Programs>WindowsExplorer. Double click on the Windows folder and then the Temp folder. Anything in your Temp folder in c:\windows?

BTW, I assume you use InternetExplorer. What version number do you have? For example, 5.00.2919.6307. Start IE and click on Help>About to get your version number.

In most elevators I can cure it by jumping the entire way up/down, but in the final battle with Nihilanth when I have to ride this tiny little rock out of a pit I have to stay still or fall off. Iím just curious if anyone else has encountered this problem or has any educated guesses about the cause. It happens in Blue Shift too if thatís any help.

Hi, I want to run an ethernet cable from my router here to my cousins house which is approx. 500ft away. Can that long of a cable run keep its signal strength and if not, can I use some sort of repeater? Where would I be able to get a repeater if they make them? Thanks for any help you can give me...
