BSOD Playing Titanfall, error 0x00000124

Q: BSOD Playing Titanfall, error 0x00000124

Computer goes to bluescreen after a few minutes playing Titanfall, clean installed OS with same result.

No issues playing other games e.g. World of Warcraft, Guild Wars 2, etc, so far.

Bluescreenviewer mostly reports ntoskrnl.exe as the cause although prior to OS reinstall, hal.dll popped up a time or two also.

I have run memtest86+ for 8 passes with no errors reported. (Didn't realize this test took so long, not keen to do it again,

I've tested my drive, no errors, run sfc /scannow, no errors, used prime95 and no bsods.

I'm at a loss as to why. Do I need to just buy a complete new system? Any help would be appreciated.

Thanks in advance for your time.

I recommend downloading and running DAP. It can help sort out any driver and firmware related issues on your system

It's worked out well for many of us in the past.

You can download it direct from this link http://downloaddap.org. (This link will open the download page of DAP so you can save a copy to your computer.)

Hi dragonpunch,

Currently I'm analysing the dump files.
Right now it looks like your CPU is not compatible with your system. (This doesn't mean the CPU is faulty.)
But first check if there are driver updates available at your manufacturers site, because this crash could also be caused by drivers.
The following is for information purposes only.

Hello,

So, i got a relative new (<1 year old) home build PC. There weren't any problems during the first couple of months. But now, i got these bsod's while playing Titanfall, viewing a movie or video on YouTube. So I thought there was something wrong with my video card or it's driver. So I ran verifier.exe to see what could be wrong, restarted my PC and that's when i ran into a BSOD-loop, with DRIVER_IRQL_NOT_LESS_OR_EQUAL. Not a problem, If i could enable safe mode in the recovery menu that shows up after a few bsod's. I could try and solve the problem with google. The problem was that my pc didn't react to my keyboard at all. So after many reboots, i decided to clear my CMOS on my motherboard. With success, because my keyboard did work again, and i could reboot again, without safe mode with verifier on. So I assumed my problem was solved, and disabled verifier. that was 2 days ago, but today, after a whole day working for school on my pc, I needed so relax time and decided to watch a video on YouTube. And that's when i got another bsod with System_Service_Exception Attachment 52964

Hello,

I have gotten this BSOD recently playing TitanFall. I have not experienced it any other time. Running a clean install of the latest GeForce drivers. This computer was built in January and I have not noticed this BSOD until this week with TitanFall; during the TitanFall Beta and with older Nvidia drivers this did not occur either.

I've attached the "Windows7_Vista_jcgriff2" zip file for analysis, but Windows 8.1 does not allow me to run perfmon /report. It simply says "An error occured while attempting to generate the report. The operator or administrator has refused the request." despite my account being the administrator and CMD being opened with admin privileges. So if more information is needed because of this, please let me know.

Before I list specs, I just want to mention that 24 hour of Memtest86+ 5.0.1 yielded no errors.

A:[SOLVED] BSOD 0xA - IRQL_NOT_LESS_OR_EQUAL while playing TitanFall

Hi,

The attached DMP file is of the IRQL_NOT_LESS_OR_EQUAL (a) bug check.

This indicates that Microsoft Windows or a kernel-mode driver accessed paged memory at DISPATCH_LEVEL or above.

This bug check is issued if paged memory (or invalid memory) is accessed when the IRQL is too high. The error that generates this bug check usually occurs after the installation of a faulty device driver, system service, or BIOS.

------------

1. Uninstall Asus PC Probe ASAP.

2. Are you using OpenVPN/COMODO?

Hello Guys,

I have been having a problem with my #teamred PC since I built it 2 years ago but it's reached the point where it's getting me down now.
My system is:

Desktop PC
Windows 7 Ultimate 64 bit sp1 (original os) OEM (I think) - recent clean install by me (again)

*2 years old*
Motherboard Asus Crosshair V Formula Z

CPU AMD FX 9370 black edition @ 4.4GHz (not overclocked)

Corsair RM Series RM 1000 '80+ Gold' 1000W Power Supply

*1 year old*
TeamGroup Vulcan RED 16GB (2x8GB) DDR3 PC3-19200C11 2400MHz Dual Channel Kit

I have done a full memtest86 (with both sticks in). It took 18 hours and showed no errors.

I play a lot of hours gaming. I used to play Evolve but got banned for 'product tampering' I didn't tamper with my game. I thought it was the games problem, keep crashing but now I play Titanfall 2 and still crash, I think that it may be my PC?

I Found that my Antec K?HLER H2O 1250 was failing to turn one of the fans so I have replaced that with a Corsair H105 water cooler.

Any help or advice would be most welcome...

log attached

Regards... Pete

Hi guys, I'm getting random BSODs everytime I play CS:GO. Could you help me find out what is the problem? Attach the memory dump files. From bluescreenviewer it seems to be error 124 but no idea which driver or hardware is causing this. Please help. Read from http://social.technet.microsoft.com/...-analysis.aspx that it has something to do with my PCI Express device? Could it be my graphics card? Thank you!

Windows 7 Pro x64
- Intel 1st gen Core i7 860 @ 2.8 (normally overlocked to 4.0, but reset to stock to test)
- 2x 1TB Seagate HD's (have had this problem on both of them, as well as my other two disabled Seagate 500GB HD's)
- eVGA GeForce GTX280 graphics - latest 2.96 graphics driver installed at windows reinstall
- 8GB Corsair Viper RAM

Some information about this:
- Fresh reinstall of Windows as of three days ago
- Fresh run of all windows updates as of three days ago (Minus Bing Bar and Security Essentials)
- Fresh install of game from online

While loading the game, I have it start to load, then graphics go all wonky on me (video showing this at SWToR Crash - YouTube, approx. 30 seconds into it), causing system crash, or else I get BSOD with error 124.

Also, I get random Error 124 crashes, from doing completely random things - browsing the web (googling information, youtube, facecrack), doing windows Updates, re-installing software (like Thunderbird, Chrome, Trillian, etc). It happens completely randomly, and is kind of driving me nuts.

Any assistance would be great, since I can't afford any money to drop on a new system any time soon.

EDIT MAY 14:
Sorry, I didn't upload the attached files, and I've got them now. System Health Report is in the folder with the dump files and everything else. Sorry about that. They are now attached.

So, to further add to some of what diagnostics / tests / checks I have done on this system:

- Hiren's Boot CD using Seagate Tools on it, to do a full level test of both of the 1TB HD's (both of the 500s are disconnected)
- Reseated the RAM
- Reseated the SATA cables to the DVD-ROM Drive, and the HDD's.
- Tried changing the cables of the HDD's
- Reseated them in different ports (instead of 0 (DVD) 1 (HDD) and 2 (HDD), tried 3 (HDD), 4 (HDD), and 5 (DVD)
- Reseated the power connections on the motherboard for power
- Changed the power plugs to the various devices (HDD and DVD)
- Fresh firmware reinstall of the Motherboard (A74, dating Aug 8, 2011)
- Factory reset of motherboard settings back to stock

- testing now with Prime95 to do a memory test
- Have done a memtest using an ubuntu boot disk
- Done an full system MRI by a buddy who works for Geek Squad

This is the fourth reinstall of Windows (on a fourth drive configuration) in the last two weeks. Hopefully I don't have to do it many more times - Microsoft is getting cranky at me for all the activations I keep calling in for.

Hello Everyone,

I have frequent 0x00000124 errors. I know these are not easy to overcome and I would greatly appreciate the help of a tech guru to help me understand my crash dump and where I should put my effort.

So far I have tried these steps:

Fresh copy of win7 on my sata drive instead of SSD
I did a memtest stress test and no error came up.

I don't see this error when I use my computer to browse the web or watch movies. It is most of the time when I am playing games. I have a huge heat sink with a dual 120mm fans over my cpu and a lot of 120mm for the rest of the case... I don't really suspect overheating. I did not try to overclock any of my components, everything is on factory settings.

Thanks for your much needed help.

These crashes were related to your AppleCharger.sys. It can be removed as USB will charge the devices without it.

Your UEFI/BIOS dates from 2010. Please check at the manufacturer's website to see if there are any UEFI/BIOS updates available for your system. Also check the readme file to see if they apply to the problems that you are having. Please be advised that flashing the UEFI/BIOS is a very unforgiving process - and one mistake can physically damage your motherboard. If possible, use the "inside Windows" flash mechanism (if your OEM provides one) - that is much more forgiving than the traditional (floppy drive) flash method.

There are enough signs here that I have to wonder about this installation. Should this be a pirated copy of Windows, please be aware that we may not be able to fix it (as the hacks that were done to activate it will cause the OS to behave differently than we expect it to). If that's the case, our efforts to help may just waste your time. Secondly, the forum rules prohibit assisting with pirated software - so the topic would be closed if that is the case.

Please provide this report:

It happened to me when I tried to undervolt the PC with -0.150v while rendering (it became instable with too little voltage for render).
Try to disable XMP profile in UEFI or set everything to default and see if it happens again in the game.

Hallo!

I have recently bought this new laptop, precisely I got it online and it was delivered a week ago, so you can imagine my surprise when I got the Blue Screen of Death!

Anyway, I was playing Dota2, just started the game and in about 5 minutes it went blue, and the speakers shhhhh.. After that I turned it off, manually of course, then on again and played the game for about 2 hours waiting on it to happen again.. I am not quite the computer-illiterate, but I am also not an expert in this field so I just wanted to see if it persists or not, and it did not. But I am still unsatisfied, being it a new laptop and all.
So, as the pic I uploaded states: it is supposedly, a hardware error, and I can return this laptop back, no questions asked, I suppose, since I am still in the first 2 weeks, but I need your professional opinion, to avoid the hassle unless it is a serious issue, like a hardware malfunction or sth similar.

The data I uploaded I collected just now, and this issue happened last night, so I used the laptop several hours since, if it is relevant I mean.

Thanks a bunch guys, really appreciated!!

Okay, everytime I play Battlefield 3 I get in max. 30 minutes a BSOD. And it ONLY happens with this game, everything else works perfectly fine without crashes or whatsoever.

This has been going on since half December, which is about a week after I updated my drivers. It first happened once or twice, where I though that it was just coincidence, but now it happens every time I try to play Battlefield 3.

Since it happened a bit after updating the drivers, I thought it was that. Today most of the drivers needed to be updated again, including the infamous Realtek sound drivers that are supposed to give problems with Battlefield 3, so I updated them hoping it would solve the problem. No dice, I still get a BSOD when playing Battlefield 3.

Hello, I've been having an issue with my computer spontaneously restarting while playing certain games. I looked it up and found that windows automatically restarts when you BSOD so i turned off that function and now i get a BSOD and i grabbed this from my event logger:

The computer has rebooted from a bugcheck. The bugcheck was: 0x00000124 (0x0000000000000000, 0xfffffa800d77d028, 0x00000000b6000000, 0x0000000000100153).

I'm including the BSOD data collection zip thingy that is provided on this forum.

I'm not sure if it matters but i have had this issue running only civ5 and vermintide but they could be unrelated to each other. In niether case is the game or system under any significant load.

You are running a Dell Product ID (PID) on a MSI board.
This makes your installation counterfeit.
Troubleshooting a counterfeit installation is useless as it is not known what has been modified to your system.
A counterfeit installation contains heavily modified code which causes the system to behave in unexpected ways.
For this reason, analyzing counterfeit systems is unreliable and most analysts won't try it.

Code:
OS Configuration: Standalone Workstation
OS Build Type: Multiprocessor Free
Registered Owner: Lorddread
Registered Organization:
Product ID: 00426-OEM-8992662-00400
Original Install Date: 12/13/2013, 3:54:49 PM
System Boot Time: 5/28/2016, 4:38:30 PM
System Manufacturer: MSI
I recommend to install a genuine copy of Windows.
If, after you have installed a genuine copy of Windows, you still get BSOD's we'll be happy to assist you.

Hi!

Couple of days ago I installed Windows 7 Ultimate x64 to replace my Windows XP so I could play BF3. It went well, I could play the game (30-60fps) and everything went how they were supposed to. But this morning when I try to go and play it crashes after 1 match (around 15min). I have been trying to fix this almost whole day but nothing seems to help.

I haven't overclocked anything, I haven't installed any new hardware and I also have all the latest drivers. I tested GPU with FurMark and after 5minutes it settled around 90-degree celsius. I doubt it's thermal problem since I have never struggled with it before. I also tested my memory and there were no problems at all. I'm running out of ideas now and I hope you could maybe help me out.

Thanks in advance!

PS. Here is my crash dump, I have had 7 of these today (every of them during BF3).

I get it back, everything fine until I play a Youtube Vid on my system and that errors returned.

Hey guys, I just recently downloaded Overwatch and started playing a few hours ago when I suddenly got a BSOD that stated "Whea Uncorrectable Error" as a code. This is a fairly new laptop that I've had for less than 6 months. I've gotten a handful of BSODs over the past 6 months but I've never encountered this error. I've tried using Dell Support Assist to run the usual tests but most come out clean. Any help would be greatly appreciated.

If you guys need any more data then I'll gladly provide it.

Hello everybody ! I've been browsing this forum in the past but decided to make an account today. I need help with a BSOD that I've started getting a few times.

This error arises only when playing MW2 ONLY and that too randomly ! At other times I play mw2 without any problem whatsoever.

Other more taxing games and benchmarks run perfectly fine !
eg. Crysis 2, Bad Company 2, Unigine Heaven Benchmark, Alien vs Predator Benchmark and nearly every other game I have.

CPU is overclocked at 4.5Ghz with max temps 65 to 67C, is p95 stable, checked atleast for an hour.
GSkill 8GB Rams are at stock 1600Mhz. GPU clocks are at stock. Using latest Nvidia drivers 280.36. Nearly every component is relatively new, only 2 months old.

Attached are the dump files and perfmon.html files as outlined in the sticky BSOD thread.

Really appreciate if anybody could help identifying the cause. I just hope it's not faulty hardware. I can play more taxing games without any problem. Heck I even played Battlefield 3 Alpha trial without any problem!

Thanks alot in advance !

I have this problem for now about a year, ever since there was a big patch or something. I could play the game before that without problems. I didn't change anything on my PC(hardware) for about 2 years.

I've attached the DM Log Collector file below.
Any help is very much appreciated.

First up hello and thanks for taking a look at my problem in advance

Basically a while back (approx 2 months ago my old PC died due to some HD corruption and i decided to do some hardware upgrading and a complete re-build instead of starting a fresh install on an old system.

Pretty much replaced everything,

I purchased a Overclocked MB + CPU + RAM bundle from the ARIA retailer which was:

Gladiator Z68 Core i7 2600K 4.70GHz Water-Cooled Overclocked Bundle - Aria PC

but basically i have an issue where if i leave my pc idling after an unknown period of time i will come back to it and it will have BSOD while i am away - and if i leave it indefinitely past that point it will reboot but be stuck on an 'unable to boot - please insert bootable media' message and will require a restart to work again properly.

Additionally when playing certain games, noticeably Battlefield 3 (Which has been BSOD'ing when ive been trying to play it up to every 5-10 mins, but also includes other games such as RAGE, the more graphics intensive the game it is the higher the risk of BSOD seems to be)

the error message im getting (atleast on last BSOD) was
0x00000124 (0x0000000000000, 0xFFFFFA800536200, 0x00000000BE200000, 0x000000000005110A)

Im not 100% convinced that this is the only BSOD message i have received as i can recall seeing a different message sometime - but will have to wait until that occurs to be able to see what it is.

I've been getting regular BSOD with the same error (0x00000124). Not only while playing games, even when browsing with only one tab open with nothing but Spotify running in the background. Even while I'm sleeping and my computer is idle.

A little history behind this..

After my Zalman ZD1225BTR Cpu fan went to sh*t I was the stuck with the Stock Cooling from Intel which at the time worked fine. I was running BF3 on ultra with no problem.
I started getting problems some time after this with overheating, I realized that and moved past it and set my GPU to default setting (Was OC'ed via Catalyst) and turned of OC Genie (which is the integrated OC in my motherboard) . Now it was just as stable as before.

Then I started getting these 0x124 BSOD's.. Have no idea why or exactly when it started but I'm getting frustrated.

A friend of mine who works at an IT Support office said it was most likely my RAM. Even with my cooling problems..

Speaking of cooling problems..:
1. My CPU is at 66 Celsius degrees while typing this. (Rarely goes below 63 degrees)
2. My GPU is at 50 Celsius degrees, also while typing this.

I'm no expert but I think that the BSOD I have might get more regular if I do not replace the stock cooling on my CPU, which is being resolved within the next 7 days (Corsair H60 Watercooling is on its way)

So really, I just wanted to check with you guys before using alot of money on a computer that might die anyway.

And please, if I have messed up in... Read more

My specs are:

PSU: XFX TS 550W

These are all new expect the GPU.

I don't know how to analyze crash dumps, but from a quick search, I would say there's two options:

1. Your GPU drivers are out of date

Try updating your graphics drivers (while you're at it, update DirectX too). If that doesn't help, boot Windows without Driver Signature Enforcement (hold F8 when turning on the PC and choose this option), then see if the issue persists, because if it does:

2. Your hardware is overheating

This error appears due to a fatal hardware error and might be related to either faulty hardware or heat problems. If the previous steps don't work, you need to shut down your PC, unplug it from the power source, check all the cables on both ends and make sure your hardware is being cooled properly.

A "stop 0x124" is fundamentally different to many other types of bluescreens because it stems from a hardware complaint. Stop 0x124 minidumps contain very little practical information, and it is therefore necessary to approach the problem as a case of hardware in an unknown state of distress. Based on the bugchecks, I would recommend you follow and complete the steps given below:1. If you are overclocking any hardware, please stop. Reset any changed values back to default and reset/clear CMOS: Clear CMOS - 3 Ways to Clear the CMOS - Reset BIOS. Uninstall any overclocking tool as these can also be a reason of blue screens.

2. Uninstall your current antivirus software. It can be a cause of BSOD very often. Please remove it with its removal tool and use Microsoft Security Essentials in its place. Malwarebytes is a great combination with it. Go through this thread for more info.

Hello,
This is my first post to the forums and I need some help from you guys. I have been having BSOD problems ever since I purchased this computer a couple years back. I never used to play games on my computer, so it used to be just when I turned my MOTU 828mkII off that sometimes I would get BSOD, or when I was watching videos on youtube or similar sites.

Recently though, I bought a new video card and power supply for my computer so I could start playing games on it. I reinstalled Windows 7 before installing the hardware as I had heard that was a good idea when installing new hardware and to run your games at the best performance.

I have been playing games like Blacklight: Retribution, Tribes Ascend, and most recently Metro 2033. All of these games have caused me to have BSODs intermittently. I am really tired of dealing with this problem and could really use some help in trying to pinpoint the problem. I have run the Seagate hard drive long scan, the Windows Memory Diagnostic (4 runs on standard), ran virus scans with Super Anti Spyware, Malware Bytes, and Avira anti virus programs. So far nothing has come up. I have read that the ntoskrnl.exe error may point to RAM and I can't remember what the hal.dll error I am getting was supposed to mean. I also performed the nat sys command prompt reset. And I have also run Prime 95 in the past with no problems.

Hello,
I have been having a very annoying error ever since ive built my new pc. Whenever i play a game that is even slightly demanding i get a Bsod and the pc restarts (Its not a typical bsod as in my screen does not display a blue screen, it instead displays a grey screen with black vertical lines all over it). After seeing the error message that windows shows after the restart it seems to be an error 124 which apparently is a hardware error. Thinking it might be a faulty PSU i changed it since it was not a very good brand anyway. I got a CS650M at its place. The same problem continues. I have ran both memtest and prime 95 for many hours with no errors.Whenever i try to run furmark to test the gpu my pc instantly crashes. Thinking it is probably a bad gpu i gave it to the shop where i bought it from so that they can test it (i bought it last month so the warranty is still valid). According to them the Gpu is fine (the technician said that he had it running on benchmarks the entire night after i gave it to them and it didnt produce any errors). Also my temps seem to be fine (Cpu goes at 40 max and Gpu at 59 max). I am getting desperate here any help would be appreciated

Hi, I'm looking for some help concerning these Blue Screens. I've recently finished building my pc and i'm very happy how it turned out. To celebrate and test my new i7 i figured i'd play so modern games to test the power. I launched Hydrophobia played for around 6 seconds and got a blue screen. After a reboot i tried again and again to the same result. I tried other less demanding games E.g. Minecraft and Killing Floor. I had no problem what so ever. Then downloaded Portal 2, this time i lasted about 2 minutes before crashing back to the blue screen. Being a fan of Crysis i also tried this game. I played for around about 10 minutes with no failure in sight. If there is one thing i have noticed the newer the game and the more demanding it is i seem to crash more. However when im on desktop i can leave it for hours and no crash at all. I considered that it would be the fact i have two HDD Steam on my second drive i thought that could be the problem but this was not the case. I'm at a loose end and i could really use some help. Thanks in advance.

inteppm.sys is crashing.. microsoft intel processor driver. You should probably check your temperatures with software like hwmonitor and download the latest chipset(inf) driver for your mobo and reinstall them.

Also, google intel processor diagnostic utility and download and run from intel website to check processor.

If you are overclocking you should throttle back to stock speeds until you can determine what issue is.

I've just put a new motherboard and cpu in my computer and i've been getting a BSOD normally when i'm in a game but it has happened when it was sitting idle.

It's a fresh install of win 7 ultimate, the ram is older and i thought it might be the cause but windows diagnostic says the rams fine so i'm at a loss.

Hi Himuro.

Are you overclocking?

Code:
CPUID: "Intel(R) Core(TM) i7-4770K CPU @ 3.50GHz"
MaxSpeed: 3500
CurrentSpeed: 3506
As you are getting BSODs, you should stop overclocking and run all the hardware components like CPU, GPU and RAM to their default settings.

Stress test the Graphics Card using Furmark.
Video Card - Stress Test with Furmark

Test your RAM modules for possible errors.
How to Test and Diagnose RAM Issues with Memtest86+
Run memtest for at least 8 passes, preferably overnight.
If it start showing errors/red lines, stop testing. A single error is enough to determine that something is going bad there.

Greetings, forum people.

Hopefully, someone can help me with this issue and hopefully I'm doing this right.
I've been experiencing Blue Screens ever since I've started playing Dark Souls. They only happen with this game and only when certain particle effects appear (although somewhat randomly; one effect may cause the BSoD once and then not again the next time it happens).
I can sometimes play the game for 3-4 hours with not even a lag, other times I play for five minutes and it explodes on me.

What happens exactly is that the game freezes for a split-second, then the last bit of sound played starts looping (kind of a stuttering noise) and I get vertical stripes on my screen. Following that, Windows reboots.

Before I take any drastic measures (like exchanging hardware), maybe someone can pinpoint the actual problem for me.
I'm quite computer illiterate so I might be missing something obvious, but I can follow basic instructions.

For months, I have been dealing with BSODs nonstop. I have gotten a variety of error codes,
and simply do not know how to make them stop. I have sent the computer back to the company i got it from (Cyberpower PC) a total of three times, and all three times they did not fix the errors. I am hoping someone on this forums can enlighten me on what is causing my computer to crash, as this is becoming beyond irritating. The crashes only occur while playing any video game, it doesn't matter which it is. The games I have been playing recently include Guild Wars 2 and the newly released Cube World. Games that I haven't played in a while that also caused crashes were Call of Duty games.

Three of the error codes I can remember include:

0x00000124
0x00000101
0x0000001e
0x00000003B

I have updated my video card drivers which did not solve the issue at all. I am not necessarily tech savy when it comes to hardware so this is difficult for me. I put some of my computers info below, as well as placed the files from the SF Diagnostics Tool. ANy help would be greatly appreciated here, as I cannot play gany games without the fear of my computer crashing. Thank You.

Yup another grand 124. I've been trying to trouble shoot this for a couple of weeks now and finally got windows to BSOD me so I could get some kind of diagnostic on it.

What happens is that after about 30-40 mins of play on something like CIV5, Skyrim, Everything will suddenly go black, with a Sound loop and usually I have no video afterwards. At first I thought the PC was just crashing and not coming back but today it happened it gave me a BSOD without any Video and then rebooted. Once it rebooted my PCIE card failed to come up, until I rebooted it again where then it gave me the BSOD notice.

The Card I've had since about december, and originally Once I plugged it in my Northbridge on my other motherboard started overheating and I couldn't get it down so I recently upgraded my main components to what they are now in my system setup on the site.

I've attached the required Grab all from your tool.

Welcome to 7F. There is only one dump in your logs which is giving a STOP 0x124, these are virtually always hardware related and the dumps very rarely give any information as to what the problem actually is. In this case it's blaming Prime95.
Code:

Hello,
I have been having a very annoying error ever since ive built my new pc a month ago. A:BSOD when playing demanding games, error 0x00000124

Hi. . .

All 6 dumps had bugcheck 0x124 - Machine Check Exception - definitely unknown hardware failure.

0x124 BSODs are notoriously difficult to solve because the cause is simply "unknown hardware failure". The dumps nor system info submitted cannot even hint at the piece of hardware that has failed.

Unfortunately, the dumps are incapable of telling us which piece of hardware has failed. Dumps are only good for figuring out software problems.

All I can really do here is to give you some hardware diagnostic programs to run.RAM - memtest86+ - run 1 stick at a time; alternate the slots - https://www.sysnative.com/forums/har...memtest86.html
HDD - SeaTools for DOS, LONG test - https://www.sysnative.com/forums/har...agnostics.html
FurMark video card test - https://www.sysnative.com/forums/har...ress-test.html
Prime95 CPU - https://www.sysnative.com/forums/har...s-testing.html

The problem may also be with other hardware parts such as the motherboard or PSU for which there are no software tests.

I'm sorry that I could not really help here.

Take the system back and demand a new one. They can't deny the existence of the 0x124 BSODs. It is up to them to remedy this problem.

This BSOD have occured over 10 times now and the majority of it happened while i was playing Dota 2. i usually can't finish a game without this BSOD which have left me in panic trying ti reconnect using another computer. a game usually take less than 1h.
the BSOD have also occured while watching movies but much less in frequency.

i have tried to do some debugging myself and this is what i did:

installed another instance of windows on mechanical hdd
switched to another gpu
running memtest and passed grade 9
checked hw temps, seemed fine to me

these tests were made separately and the BSOD still occured.

this is my first thread so i hope nothing is missing. i have also attached the BSOD to the .zip file. i would appreciate all the help Thanks

Hello ettApa and welcome to Sevenforums.

BSOD Analyse

There's a few things to look at when we're dealing with the 0x124.
Any sort of overclocking should be stopped. Overclocking is obviously producing a lot of heat. Also make sure that you're not having a motherboard feature that overclocks your computer automatically.
Make sure that your computer is running cool. Install Speccy for instance, and make sure that the temperature idle is stable. Also track down weird or noisy sounds.
In your case, BIOS is updated. That should remain.
Windows 7 may have bugs in the OS if you ain't updating. Make sure that Windows Update is running on automatic updates, and not manual, or the 'never' feature.
If you haven't stress tested your CPU, I suggest doing so with Prime for instance.

Prime is a stress testing tool for CPU's.
Details below.

Hardware - Stress Test With Prime95

Install the so called, Vanilla Windows. Windows without any additional software and drivers. It's usually a good idea to do, for excluding parts of the PC.
Consider replacing your computer if nothing works, and it's still under warranty of course.
