Hello, Recently my CEO had bought a Lenovo Yoga 910-13IKB. It came with win10 preinstalled. I had worked on it for about 10 minutes and than the problem showed up: our local WiFi network dissapeared. I immediatelly took my laptop and searched for WiFi networks but no there was no my SSID at all. Then I had restarted WiFi router and network showed Up, but as soon Yoga connected, same again no network. I googled for solution and I did uninstall EMC and Lenovo Utility but that did not resolved the problem. Then I had tried to uninstall all drivers and than download and install them again but still the problem is there. Wherever Yoga connects WiFi dies. I found that some routers recognize something like DDos attack and so I dissabled that option on routers but again problem is there. Please can u give me solution to this problem because my CEO thinks that I am not capable of doing my Job (IT technician/Network administrator). Best wishes Adis

I bought my wife a Lenovo Yoga 720-13IKB about a year ago and it has always had trouble connecting to the internet. We are now living overseas (in the Khalij) and her computer barely ever detects the WiFi network at all! This happened occasionally in the US but we could connect it via Ethernet so it wasn't really a problem. But it's pretty much unusable here because of the crap WiFi card, frequency, or whatever in the machine. I've seen some posts asking for help with SLOW internet but her computer almost NEVER gets signal or, if it does see the network, it cannot connect. PLEASE, can anyone help?!?!? Joshua

So my Lenovo Yoga would start to boot and the light on the side and keyboard would light up, but then it would turn off again. Then it would start to boot up (without the screen actually turning on) and turn off again. It would just cycle through this, so I held down the power button for 10 seconds, and now it does not turn on at all- no lights, no anything. Any suggestions?

Hi Just want to share my latest experience after reading many posts of Yoga 920-13IKB (i7-8550 / 8G / 512G / 4K screen) incompatibility with Lenovo USB-C Travel Hub. I had this new Yoga 920 laptop for about a week, replacing my previous Yoga 900 (13.3", QHD+, i7-6560U, 256G, 8G). I have been using the Dell USB-C to HDMI/VGA/Ethernet/USB 3.0 Adapter (DA200) with the Yoga 900 without any problems. However, I can say with certainty that the Yoga 920 is incompatible with the Dell DA200 adapter. After reading many posts, I finally decided to purchase the Lenovo USB-C Travel Hub (4X90M60789) as a replacement. I had a local store rang Lenovo to confirm that it would work with my Yoga 920 before making the purchase. It arrived yesterday, and with two days of using and testing the connections Lenovo USB-C Travel Hub (Ethernet/HDMI/VGA/USB3.0); I can say that it works as expected. I'm not sure why Lenovo does not update their website to include the model Yoga 920 to be listed on the "Hardware Compatibility" list, as this will simply for the enduser to check - http://support.lenovo.com/docs/usb_c_travel_hub

Hello everyone,  I recently purchased a Lenovo Yoga 720 13IKB. I've only have the unit for about three (3) weeks and the batter is no longer able to charge when connected to the power supply that came with the unit. I checked the AC adapter to make sure that it was properly connected to PC and it was. I plugged it to different outlets and it didn't help. I bought a replacement powersupply from my local MicroCenter and still nothing. I checked the Control Panel, open up the Power Options to see if there were any settings in there but nothing to show why it wasn't chraging. Then Opened the Device Manager. Under "Batteries" I saw two items, one for the battery and another listed as "Microsoft ACPI Compliant Control Method Battery". I Opened each item, which will brought up the Properties window. Under the "Driver" tab looked for "Update Driver." I went through the two options and did the same process of updating drivers. I went through the driver update process for all options. Once the drivers are all up to date, I rebooted the laptop and plug it in again. Then i unninstalled "Microsoft ACPI Compliant Control Method Battery" completely and reboot. Still the problem persists.  I even updated all the windows Updates. Then I opened Lenovo's Companion app. I updated all the drivers that need updating and nothing changed. I still have my PC connected to AC power and the battery isn't charging. I opened the lenovo setting app and checked under battery section... Read more

Is it not charging at all, or just stuck at around 60%.    I ask because there i an option in Energy Management to select Maximum Battery Life, or Optimized Battery Health, and if set the latter (which I believe is the default), it will only charge to about 60 percent of capacity in an attempt to prolong the life of the battery.    Setting it to Maximum battery life will allow the batter to charge to 100% and you will get a longer run time, but you may have to replace the battery sooner.     If you leave the laptop usually plugged in, then optimized batter health is the better option. Cheers,

I've recently bought a Lenovo Yoga 720 13IKB, considering the battery as one of its biggest pros due to some reviews and adds I read in the Internet. Unfortunately, even after a 100% charge, I can't get no longer than 4h30 / 5 h of battery lifetime prediction / battery lifetime.  I have already decreased brightness, I almost have no apps running in background, but unfortunately it doesn't gets better. The situation is even worse considering that I'm not doing anything but surfing online, texting in word or taking a look at some pictures in Windows Gallery. Have anyone experienced the same problem? Can someone please help me? Is that true that we can get 10h30 (or a bit less, I wouldn't care) like it was advertised or that was just a commercial bait? Thanks in advance!

Hi Friends, I have encountered problem while installing new OS (Windows 10 PRO) on my lenovo Yoga 910-13IKB which we prefer more than the default Windows 10 Home because I have used it more for job related matters. But after it automatically restarts as this was also included on the installation process, the next process became a cycle of basic information request-wifi connection-express settings then restarts again, and the same process continuously repeats. Aside from it, the screen's touch screen feature and the mouse pad are not working. Hi, I bought a new Lenovo Yoga 920-13IKB in Czech Republic and the delivered package contained the following AC power adapter:  model: ADLX65YLC3A, P/N: SA10M13945I want to buy another one, but it is no-where available ! Can somebody warrant me, that the only-available AC adapter with USB-C, the Lenovo ThinkPad 65W AC USB-C, S/N 4X20M26272, will work fine with my laptop please ? Btw, I am wondering why, when I tried to find the original AC adapt., all web sites returned me result that it is not dedicated for my country. Hi.  I?m not sure if there?s already forums, which has answers to my problematics, so please don?t feel irritated if there?s already someone, who had the answer in a another forum .  I brought my Lenovo Yoga 720-13ikb for about 8 months ago and until last month, them there wasn?t any problems. But then it suddenly became slow and laggy and I don?t know why. I had tried to update my graphic cards driver to the newest and had recently performed a fresh start via Windows Defended Security Center, but it didn?t help. Do you guys had experience the same problem or do you know what could be a possible cause? I also have to partions on my SSD; a C drive, where Windows 10 and all my programs are and a D drive, where it seems that there?s drivers from Lenovo. Can I combine them to one my drive or should I just leave it as it is? And if I can, them how? Then I?m also curious to figure out, how my laptop overall health is, since I?m a student, so I want it to perform as best as possible. Is there a way to figure out a laptops overall health and how the condition of my battery is?  I hope that you guys can answer my questions or at least notify me of any other topics, which have the answers to my problems .

Hello, yesterday i received a brand new Lenovo 320S-13IKB 81AK0036GE. Directly when starting the device, i noticed that web pages load really slow. Since i have a 100MBit internet connection at home, i was a bit worried. So i run some tests with the 320s and my Thinkpad T440s. Both on the same wifi network. * Downloading a file (Ubuntu iso image) from as fast server located in my country (Germany)- Lenovo 320S: Around 150-200 KB/s- Thinkpad T440s: 3.0-4.5 MB/s * Executing a DSL Speedtest: speedtest.net/de- Lenovo 320S: 1.8 MBit/s down, 5Mbit/s up- Thinkpad T440s: 41 Mbit/s down, 5 Mbit/s up I am really confused by the fact that the upload on the 320S is faster than the download.I installed the newest wifi drivers: https://pcsupport.lenovo.com/de/de/products/laptops-and-netbooks/300-series/320s-13ikb/81ak/download...I even booted Ubuntu Linux from a USB stick: The wifi was also slow using Ubuntu... Do you have any idea what this could be? Purchased new from Best buy in May 2017.  All has worked perfectly until now.  Left my computer for a while while it did some Win10 updates and come back and the Lenovo splash screen is on the screen.  Will not go past that.  I can shut it down by holding the power button but when restated the keyboard lights up and the splash screen comes up and that is it. I have tried pushing the little recovery button while the laptop was off and it does the same thing as the power button and sticks at the splash screen.  $1800 door stop!!! Anyone got any suggestions

Ok, so I bought my Yoga 910 (4k/i7/16gb/512ssd) just a few days ago and, besides the fan noise (which I am currently working on) as well as recently discovering the issue I am about to discuss, I absolutely LOVE this machine! It is a workhorse and the build quality is amazing. That's saying a lot coming from a previous Mac user... Anyway, I was looking around today while trying to get the fan issue resolved and I noticed that the Full Charge Capacity (FCC) of the battery is only 75410mwh, while the actual Designed Capacity is meant to be 78000mwh. It is about a 4% performance decrease basically right out of the box, is that normal? I only ask because I originally bought the FHD/i7/8gb/256ssd version, before exchanging it for the upgraded unit due to liking it so much, and noticed that the FCC on the original one was actually 80102mwh, quite a bit higher than the designed capacity. Not sure if there is a setting preventing the PC to charge to the full amount or what? Maybe I just got a battery with lower ratings? Any help would be MUCH apppreciated!

Past few days, I have been using Ethernet connection fine. Suddenly, it is gone.In 'Control Panel' -> 'Network & Internet' -> 'Network Connection', there are 'Bluetooth Network Connection' and 'WiFi Connection' only. No Ethernet Adapter.Open the Device Manager, there are 'Qualcom Wireless', Bluetooth Device + 8 different WAN Miniports.I downloaded & installed Intel WLAN Driver for Windows 10 (64-bit) - Yoga 920-13IKB, Yoga 920-13IKB  'fqy801af', no change.I switched the ethernet connection from the C Hub to another USB Hub with Ethernet port, no change.Swapped cables, swapped LAN ports, no change. Same cables and ports work fine with another laptop (6 years old).Hope that someone would give a helping hand. I've been struggling with it all day long and am giving up.Help, please. P.S. Got a couple days more to be able to return, with regret of course. Hope this can be fixed.

Hi. I'm trying to replace my Broadcom wifi card with a better one. I'm not an expert in this kind of things, but I have read that I could have a better internet with another wifi card instaled...I searched few days on amazon (uk) and ebay, to find a suitable one, but...it seems to be more complicated than I though...Could anyone, please, provide a link from where I can buy one (as I have read, must be IBM/Lenovo compatible) I would much apreciate! I have a problem with my Yoga 700 where I have to constaltly disconnect/reconnect to my wifi network--typically when I am using multiple tabs or browsing while streaming. I just bought a new Lenovo YOGA 500 Intel® HD Core? i5 Processor, 8Gb RAM, 1Tb Storage, 15.6 inch Full HD Touchscreen 2-in-1 Laptop. I'm yet to take it out of the packaging (thank heavens) before I noticed on the website I bought it from under Features of the Laptop it states:  Wifi Enabled: NDoes this mean there's no WiFi capabilities on the laptop? Secondly, after perusing this forum, I've discovered the laptop seems to have a WiFi issue, the question thus is would any of you with the same laptop advise I keep it? Thanks

Hi, so i got a problem. I got 2. wifi netwrok at home. Both working fine on other devices. But on yoga 910 is like this. I am conected to network 1 (n1) and when i tried to switch to network 2 (n2) i got yellow triangle and no internet connection and vice versa so yellow triangle when try to connect from N2 to N1. Only way to get it work is to disabel wifi adapter under device manager (and right after enable again)and then right click on wifi icon and do troubleshoot wifi.. I got this problem since i set up the second wifi network but since there is no problem on other devices i assume that  is someting worng with my pc.

Hello!Recently I've changed the thermal compound on the CPU of my Lenovo Yoga 2 pro. Before the change there were no problems. But now I have 2:- Wifi isn't working. Network adapter isn't detected by the laptop. It just doesn't show up. Funny thing is that bluetooth works!- Right USB isn't working, no idea why.Everything else seems okay. Any solutions? Tips? Hey yall, so I just downloaded Windows 8.1 and suddenly I cannot connect to my university's wifi anymore. It isnt an internet problem per say, because i can still connect with an ethernet cable, but it just is not picking up any wifi! And i dont think the wifi is the issue because I can still get it on my phone. PLEASE HELP I HAVE FINALS coming up and need to be able to Use Wifi!!!! Thanks in advance!!!

Open Device Manager and uninstall the WLAN 802.11 driver "Place a check on the Delete driver software for this device ". The hit on scan for Hardware Changes.
Delete the driver again until it does not show you a check box for deleting driver software then Restart the computer.
 
Now install this
Intel WLAN Driver for Windows 8.1
Then try reconnecting again.

I am the owner of a brand new Lenovo Yoga 720, 13" screen, and the internet is pretty slow over wifi. I am getting download speeds 2x or 3x higher on my iPhone and on my wife's Macbook Air, and not sure why that would be the case as all devices are connected to the same wifi network. Anyway, any help would be much appreciated from the community. I have been relatively happy with my Yoga 900, but I have run into an odd situation and would appreciate any help.Specifically, my device functions well with my home router, but if I move to an area of the house where the WiFi signal is weak, and I get disconnected from the router, I seem to be unable to re-connect to the router when I then move back to an area of the house with a strong signal.I tried turning off the WiFi and turning it back on, but it still will not connect.It seems the only way I can get back online is to reboot.Is there a solution to this?For what it's worth, I do have the default 18.12.2.3 driver installed (Intel Dual Band Wireless AC 8260), and saw a post somewhere suggesting going to the Intel site for their driver.I am not someone who enjoys tweaking settings, so hopefully there is a simple step I am missing.Thanks so much to anyone who has time and willingness to offer a suggestion.

Hi, I bought a brand new Lenovo Yoga 910 series laptop, costing a fortune. Its not even 20 days since I bought this laptop, I am seeing the wifi adaptor losing the connection within 5 mins of usage. Whats worse, it causing my wifi router to jam as well, and all of my other devices loses connection. I have few other devices, including a lenovo thinkpad, where i never faced any issues till date.  After some research I found out that the wifi adaptor in the lenovo yoga is Qualcomm Atheros QCA61x4a  and it has lots of issues on Windows 10 and people are complaining on multiple forums about it since couple of years. Suprising that Lenovo nor Microsoft nor Qualcomm has not fixed it yet or I couldnt find a proper solution till now.  It is such a bad customer experience, that such a basic thing like wifi connectivity is not working properly on such a high end laptop. I feel I just made a bad decision of buying this waste device instead of a Mac book Pro. Hope someone from Lenovo fixes this for me or else I shall return this device.

Hello, The WiFi adapter is the Intel Dual Band wireless-ac 3160 and the drivers are from October 2017, the Device Manager is showing the network card as working without issues and nothing is reporting any problems, yet I am unable to simply turn the WiFi ON. The operating system is Windows 10 and I have tried the following: - enabling the WiFi interface using the command prompt (says it is already enabled)- trying older drivers for the Intel Dual Band wireless-ac 3160 (still will not turn ON)- opening the laptop and disconnecting the two wires from the WiFi module, then reconnecting (still no difference)- disabling and then re-enabling the Wireless in BIOS (no difference)- loading default settings in BIOS (no difference)- installing Windows 8.1 from scratch (same problem)- re-installing Windows 10 (same problem)- installed all of the Lenovo utilities and Companions I could find (still nothing)- windows troubleshooting simply tells me to switch the WiFi ON using either a hardware switch (which does not exist on this notebook) or the software switch using the keyboard - I press the F7 for airplane mode and it says that it goes into that mode, then pressed again and it simply goes back to WiFi which is turned OFF and showing the red X What is interesting is that when I booted TAILS from a USB drive the WiFi worked without issues, so this is obviously a software problem. Any suggestions?

I have a Lenovo Yoga 3 pro 1370 running Window 10 build 10586.104This is a fresh install less than one week old. I conducted a fresh install in an effort to solve a problem I have been having for over amonth now.With the WiFi network adapter enabled I am unable to move the laptop nor move the screen as this causes the entire system to freeze requiring a full reboot. Recently there was a Wifi Driver issue, which got resolved when the service guy came and replaced it, 6-8 weeks ago. After that my Wifi works fine but has a bit of a performance issue - It takes some time to identify Wifi Networks. If I switch on my bluetooth, the wifi performance degrades more, i.e. more time to identify network and the speeds of download/upload deteriorates a lot (A video in Youtube 720p quality is brought down to 144p).In addition it seems to take a lot of time for my bluetooth to identify a device. Does the Wifi and Bluetooth share the antennas? If so does this mean the antenna have a problem now?Is there a way to troubleshoot this? maybe by checking speed on Wifi and bluetooth.

I odn't have that model, but just in case what you can always try is to get the latest wireless driver, sometimes I have some issues with some older wifi drivers.
 
Check the support site and see if there is a newer driver for the wifi. Check your "WIndows Device Manager" and see the version of the driver you have installed for the wireless adapter.
 
I also like to test the wifi with different routers on some other networks just be sure that is not a local problem of my router too.
 
It is also good the check the maintenance manual of your model to see the cables and the antennas. I'm not sure if that is exactly your model, but it seems it was two antennas for the WAN network and 2 for the LAN. It does not specify anything about the bluetooth.

Hi My laptop is just 3 months old, has been working fine up till  now. All of a sudden it won't connect to wifi, or it will for a second then go off again. Yesterday all options for wifi went completely missing, in the toolbar on the bottom right hand side, the icon for wifi had dissappearEd and when I went into settings,wifi settings had gone from there too. The icons are back now and I could connect to my wifi, but it says there is no Internet connection. There is Internet through the wifi though because I'm using my phone on the wifi!! I tried to disconnect from the wifi and economy again but it has been trying to connect to the wifi for the last 10 mins! Help!!!! Thankso Jamie

Here is my situation (read carefully): I never had wifi problems with my 1st gen Lenovo Yoga running Windows 8 64-bit. Always super fast wifi and 5 bars on the icon. One morning, I couldn't connect to my home wifi (unidentified network), but I had no problem on my Android phone. I called my Internet provider and they "separated" the 2.4GHz channel (made for further distances, but slower) and the 5GHz channel (for shorter distances, faster). From then on, I could see the 2.4GHz on my laptop, but not connect to it and I couldn't see the 5GHz.On my phone, I could see both. As I obviously suspected a problem with the Realtek RTL8723A network adapter on my laptop, I reinstalled the driver, which partly solved the problem, as I can now surf the Internet on the 2.4GHz, but still can't see the 5GHz.Plus, I only have 1 bar on the icon, even though I'm 2m from the router. Is there anything I could do to see both channels, just like on my phone, and be able to use the faster 5GHz channel? Thanks

I bought a third-party USB-C to ethernet adapter to test my internet speed and found that it is not much faster than if I use the wifi. I always thought that LAN speed is faster than Wifi? Or is there something wrong with my cheap (US$20) USB-C to ethernet adapter? Hope to gain some insights at this forum for this first-time Lenovo user.Thank you.

Hi Guys, I have a Lenovo Yoga 2 laptop. This is the second time I have had issues with the WiFi dropping out frequently.  The first time was when I first downloaded windows 10 - I downloaded a new driver from the Lenovo website and everything worked perfectly.  The last couple of months it has been playing up again. My phone and any other devices will be connected to the internet however my laptop will repeatedly disconnect from the internet, this happens a ridiculous amount of times everyday - and it's not just my home wifi! Im currently at my university library and it does the same thing. It just drops out randomly and says "not connected - no connects are available" I have to keep restarting my laptop for it to reconnect to the internet (I know that's probably not the best thing to do but it's the only thing that sometimes works). I've tried uninstalling and reinstalling the driver software, I've scanned for hardware changes and nothing comes up?? Has anyone got any ideas on anything else I could try?  Thank you all!

I have a Lenovo Yoga 2.
I reset the notebook with the One Key Recovery application.
The notebook has been reset but can not find the WIFI card. It disappeared, it seems that it does not exist. The ethernet icon appears in the bar below the windows and the only possibility is to create a VPN connection. I do not know how to do it ... restoring the notebook with one recovery should not have these problems

Updated all the drivers and BIOS but connecting to 2.4GHz WiFi causes router to reboot frequently. Switching to 5GHz WiFi almost eleiminates the reboots. Any ideas? Is this related to the fan issue? I noticed in that thread that a WiFi Installer was mentioned. Ken

Can you please post the full model number of your Thinkpad Yoga 14?
Are you using Windows 10?
 
I may suggest you first to try to update the Wifi drivers and maybe some other of the system driver of you Yoga.
Here are my general tips:
 
1) Try first Windows Update and update all the drivers and Patches
2) Try Lenovo System Update to get any new/missing drivers.
3) Try to install Lenovo Settings and Lenovo Companion from the Windows App Store, Lenovo Companion also has a "update driver search"
4) Sometimes all that software does not recognize some updated / missing driver. Check Lenovo's Support Site and search for your specific model drivers (use the full model number of your Thinkpad).
 
After that we can try a little bit more. For example I also like to test it on some other Wifi networks just to be sure it is not a compatibility issue with the Wifi Router.

Im new to both the Lenovo Yoga Tab3 16Gb and this forum.Not on the internet at home.Comments suggest that I cannot get the internet via a usb stick and mention "Wifi tethering from phone" ?Going to buy a 'pay as go sim free', to enable me to have internet data allowance.Does it matter what company I go with?Does the mobile sim card go physically in the back slot of the Lenovo?Do I have to have a very modern mobile to enable me to tether it to my Lenovo and access my data allowance?Sorry if these are very basic questions. Hi all. Nice to meet you. I have a Lenovo Yoga 720 and am noticing two issues.  First, whenever I am on Wifi, my connection will occasionally drop and restart. It is becoming a challenge especially during Skype calls and even simple tasks like browsing. My wifi appears to be OK because I have another PC and Mac that does not have any connectivity issues. Is there something I can do investigate and solve this issues?Moreover, I have connected my Microsoft Sculpt Mouse which had worked great on another PC's. While I can connect it with my Yoga, the connection frequently drops and takes a couple of seconds to re-establish itself. If anything, these issues have become a pain. Any suggestions/ideas on how to rectify the situation would be greatly appreciated!
