I recommend downloading and running DAP. It can help sort out any driver and firmware related issues on your system

It's worked out well for many of us in the past.

You can download it direct from this link http://downloaddap.org. (This link will open the download page of DAP so you can save a copy to your computer.)

Hey Everyone, I've recently noticed my laptop slowing as I played games like h1z1 on the lowest setting. Eventually, I would get error messages about my GPU when the game would crash. I noticed my drivers were out of date and SLI was also not enabled. I have since updated the drivers and enabled SLI but I still get many of the same problems.  The laptop has two GeForce GT 750M's. I downloaded MSI afterburner and it shows both graphics cards at 135/405MHz at rest. But while gaming, the second graphics card remains at that same amount and relatively the same temperature while graphics card number one goes to about 1058/2499MHz and 75-90 degrees C temperatures. I've also taken out the ultrabay with graphics card number 2 out and put it back in to make sure it wasn't loose. I honestly don't know what any of the data really means, but I'm really hoping to get this fixed. Any help would be greatly appreciated!! Let me know if I can provide any more information!

Hi all. I recently obtained a used lenovo y510p from a friend with the following configurations. Windows 8.1 ProSLI capable with 2 geforce 750M cards6gb RAMItb Hard disk2gb dedicated video memory. It plays games at decent speeds with medium settings but I get different errors from each of the 3 games I've tried. For dragon's dogma dark arisen, the game suddenly slows down for a few minutes and picks up speed again after a few (maybe 5) minutes. With mass effect 2 the game screen hangs, while sounds and music continue as normal. ctrl alt deleting and pressing esc will make the game proceed as if nothing ever happened. Finally, for the witcher 3: wild hunt, I get the windows display driver has stopped responding error. The games are properly purchased and as far as i know, so is the OS. I've tried all nvidia display drivers between and including 347.09 to 364.72. I've tried closing all other apps, and ending all nv processes in the task manager. I've also tried different power plans and different nvidia power management modes. I've been monitoring the temp with HWmonitor and it usually tops out at around 81c which I understand is fine for this particular laptop. I even have a targus chill mat to help regulate the temp. Lastly, I've spoken to my friend and he doesn't remember having those issues at all, but he never managed to game with the laptop very often. Any help would be appreciated, this is my first lenovo product. I pereviously owned a dell xps.

Hi all. I just bought my Y510P from a guy on craiglsist who had barely used the laptop. (Like turned it on once and then put it in the corner for a year and a half)  When I got it, the guy had restored everything to the factory settings which was just Windows 8.1. My first problem is that the computer keeps defaulting to use the HD 4600 instead of the 755M that I have set as the default graphics card in NVIDIA Control Panel. I disabled the 4600, but then the computer was super slow. Any idea why this is happening? My second problem is that I can't find anything to speed up the fans so that the computer will automatically overclock the i7. I'm tempted to slowly force it to overclock and have the fan speed increase with the temperature, but I'm afraid that I'm going to break something that way.  If anyone knows of a way to control the fan speed then that would be great. Thanks. Computer specs: Lenovo Y510Pi7-4700MQ8GB RAM1TB HDD24GB SSD (PCIe)Intel HD 4600 Graphics and GT 755M

Hi All, I have a Y510p with GT 755m graphics and i've had it around 2 years now with no problems. Just recently when trying to play games I just get a black screen when game boots. Some games then crash, others just remain black screen. Sometimes i get a message that "blahbla.exe has been blocked from accessing graphics hardware", sometimes i get nothing at all. I have tried 6 different versions of the appropriate drivers, I have tried reinstalling windows and checking as many settings are right as i can think of. Now i turn to you to ask why my graphics card might be **bleep**ting the bed every time i launch a game. Many thanks for any suggestions in advance.

Just wanted to let others know about the SLI Graphics Card. All of a sudden my pc shutdown while viewing a Youtube video. I smelled some weird burning smell coming from the computer. Wouldn't boot, eventually I pulled the second graphics card on the right side of the pc. Looked at it and there was major burn spot on it. Started up the PC and it was fine without the graphics card. There must be some sort of overheating issue and they are defective. I rarely play games on this pc and this occured simply watching a youtube video which seems really odd. I do have two monitors hooked up to the system.

Hello, I have a ?Y510P Leonovo Ideapad? and found out, that the mainboard contains an empty port-connector labeled with ?SSD?. A picture of this connector is in the attached image. I am planning to upgrade the Laptop with an SSD-card to improve system speed. Within this context I have a couple of questions, regarding the specifications of this port and suitable SSD-cards: Does this port both accept SATA as well as PCIe SSD-cards?Is there a limitation on the maximum memory-size of the installed SSD-card? Can I install a 256GB SSD-card? (For example ?Transcend MTS400 256GB SSD?) ?Can I partition the SSD-card in a way to fully install Windows 10 on it, making it the boot partition. The SSD-card should then be visible as a standard drive C:\ under Windows. Can I also install a second operating system (Linux) onto a second partition on the SSD-card, making it a dual boot system?I would be very happy, if anyone could help me with these questions, so that I can upgrade the laptop with the appropriate SSD-card and configuration. Thanks in advance,electron8000

Ok, I'm trying troubleshoot the new computer I recently bought. The problem is either the driver or the graphics card.

Computer: Gateway DX4300-03, 64-bit Windows Vista, ATI Radeon HD4650 1GB graphics card
Monitor: LG Flatron W2361V

The problem is: No video output, monitor tested to be good (used a 32-bit Windows laptop)

Details:

When I first got the computer (late July 09) I couldn't see the BIOS startup screen. The monitor would only turn on right before the Vista login screen. NOW, I don't see ANYTHING on the monitor at all. I can still hear the Vista log-in screen. I input my password without seeing the screen and I can tell it logs in. I've been using Windows Narrator and the keyboard to roughly navigate through Windows.

I've successfully ran System Restore, restoring it to the first restore point (when I could not see BIOS, but still see Windows), but still couldn't see anything on the screen.

I tried installing the latest driver from ATI's site (it's not easy navigating the web through Windows Narrator), but I couldn't successfully get through the program. Most likely the install program doesn't have Windows-recognized buttons so I can't tell and I can't see to use my mouse.

I tried to start Windows using safe mode (rapidly pressing F8 at system startup), but I can't tell if I'm successfully getting into Windows.

I tried to use the monitor drivers in the disk I received, but once again there aren't any traditional buttons to select and I can't get throug... Read more

A:ATI Radeon HD 4650 1GB Graphics Card/Driver Troubleshooting Without Video

tjp7154, welcome to the forums.

This is going to sound like a stupid question, but after looking at the specs for your computer,

Gateway Official Site: Shop - Desktops - DX4300-03 Product Details - DX 4300 03 Product Details

do you have the monitor connected to the card and not the onboard video connections? Reason for asking is that according to the specs the motherboard has the AMD RS780 chipset, also known as 780G, which comes with the HD3200 onboard video (I know as I have a board with the same chipset). If it is connected to the card and not the onboard connector, it is possible that it isn't configured properly in the bios (onboard disabled, and add-in card set as primary). Just to check here is what the back of mine looks like with the onboard video connectors circled (there is also a HDMI port just to the left of them),

Also grab CPU-Z,

CPUID

and on the motherboard tab it should provide the manufacturer and model number. Then I can look up the manual for it, and hopefully gateway has hacked the bios too badly and can point you where to look to make sure that the onboard is at least disabled.

Hello,I can't seem to find specific information about this pc related to this topic. I have a client that wants to have a hdmi port and dual monitor installed. I looked everywhere in the bios settings, I tried using a usb-to-vga adapter & and vga, dvi-d cable & vga (this mirrors both monitors, but cannot extend the display). When I changed the settings on the bios to use the built in graphics, it gives me the option to enable multiple monitors but cannot use my pcie graphic card. If i select to use the pcie graphic card, i cannot use the built in graphic ports or the usb-to-vga adapter (it does not see the other monitor) and also if I use the dvi adpater and the vga it mirrors the display. I'm guessing that the bios does not support dual graphic cards but thought of asking here. The reason the client wants this is to be able to connect a projector using hdmi and to have dual monitors. Any information will be greatly appreaciate it. Thank you.

I have a lenovo g50 70 with an i3 processor and i have a question: how can i find if i have the amd graphic card in my laptop? Is nowhere to be seen in device manager. I only have the intel graphics. On specs it says that i have a dexicated graphic. But after installing the drivers, nothing came out. I did install drivers in proper order. Is there any way to see if i have that graphics(amd)? Hello, I've been having a problem where my graphics card is disabled for my computer and I don't know why. I've tried downloading different/older drivers, I've tried disabling and then reenabling the graphics card, I've looked around the internet and nobody seems to have the a solution for this problem. When I go to the device management menu on my computer it says that the device (the graphics card) is completely updated, enabled, and working properly. But when I go on the Crimson menu for AMD, it tells me that it is disabled. Whenever I try to play a video game on my computer and I go to the graphics options menu, the video game tells me that it is using the integrated graphics instead of the AMD graphics and I have no option to switch. I'm attaching several screen shots to this post so that you can better see my point. Is there any way this could be fixed without me having to send my computer back to lenovo? I am running Windows 10. Thank you very much for your time.  These are the pictures

A:Lenovo H515 and 505, graphics card

Hi DonMaidment,

Welcome to Lenovo Community Forums!

You will need to look on two things

- Compatible Graphics
Here are some compatible graphics adapter from the Lenovo H515 Maintenance Manual
If you are going to purchase a Video card that's not on this list, I suggest you do a test First before purchasing it as I'm not too sure if other Graphics model will work.

- Power Supply
Your Power Supply must match the Videocard Requirement,
or else you will need to upgrade the power supply as well.

Hi all, i have a big issue with my Lenovo G50-70.During the play of Diablo III, my notebook had a power loss and it powered down unexpectedly.Once booted up, the system cannot recognize anymore the graphic card AMD RADEON R5 M230 but only the Intel Integrated graphic card.I think the R5 M230 video card is completely gone (cannot resurrect it with only drivers installation or play with bios).... I would like to know if i can repair, substitute it or change it by sending the notebook to a Lenovo Center or by a Specialist Notebook Center Repair. Waiting on your reply.  Regards.

I bought this laptop last year, on that time AMD Radeon(TM) R5 M330 was enough for me to work on 3D Softwares. But now I wanna buy HTC Vive or Oculus Rift. I see this hardware needs a powerful graphic card. So is it possible to upgrade my graphics card? if so which graphics card will be compatible with my laptop?

I currently upgraded my gpu you to a xfx rx 550, which is working great but would like to add a second gpu, a rx 460 4gb. I was wondering if my stock PSU will be able to handle that? I will unplug my DVD drive to get some extra watts from it.I have the following desktop:Lenovo Erazer X315 90AY000SUShttp://psref.lenovo.com/Detail/Lenovo_Desktops/Lenovo_Erazer_X315?M=90AY000SUS

Hi Lenovo, I've recently been trying to upgrade my H30-50s graphics card. In fact, I've bought the wrong card twice from misguided advice. Ended up buying 2 cards that were 12cm instead of the needed 7cm or so. Believe me, that's been frustrating enough. Anyway, I've finally found a card that'll fit. It's MSI's low profile 750ti. Its got plenty of power. Looks great. Hopefully should fit. Here's the link: http://www.amazon.co.uk/MSI-Nvidia-750Ti-Graphics-Dvi-D/dp/B00ZA1IFGA/ref=sr_1_1?s=computers&ie=UTF8... Wattage on Amazon says 400W. Wattage on Nvidia website says 300W. As far as I'm aware, the H30-50 has a 240W PSU? Is this graphics card an absolute no-go? I have the i3-4160 model. 12gb ram, upgraded with 8gb recently. 1TB HDD.  If this is not a possibility, is it possible to upgrade the PSU considering how slimline these pcs are? I'd much rather find a new PSU than have to try and find another, decent specification, low profile graphics card. Any ideas? Thanks.

I recently purchased a Lenovo G510 laptop with Windows 8.1. I've had only one major issue with it, where I can't use the AMD Radeon graphics which should be on my computer. When I load up Speccy, only the Intel HD Graphics 4600 shows up; the same happens when I look for the AMD card in Device Manager. I want to be able to use my AMD Radeon Graphics though.

CCC Switchable Graphics

On computers with an Intel power-saving GPU and an ATI high-performance GPU, Dynamic Mode switchable graphics is configured using the Catalyst Control Center software.

To maximize the energy efficiency or if you typically use programs that have lower graphical requirements (such as word processing or spreadsheet programs), you do not need to make any changes to the settings in the Catalyst Control Center software. The computer uses the power-saving GPU by default for most applications. You can still run high-performance programs, videos, and games in default mode but you are likely to notice lower frame rates, dropped frames, and choppy animations and transitions.
Applications that have higher graphical requirements (such as 3D video games), work better using the high-performance GPU. Graphics intensive software, videos, and games run at their optimum settings using the high-performance GPU.
Using the high-performance GPU on battery power will shorten the battery's effective usage time. The high-performance GPU generates a noticeable amount of heat while running graphics intensive software and, to keep the computer from overheating, the fan noise increases with increased fan use.

To change the default switchable graphics settings in the Catalyst Control Center software, follow the steps below.

Click Start , type CCC in the Search field, and then select CCC from the search results list.

On the Welcome screen, click P... Read more
