Lenovo Yoga 900 wont load pass the Lenovo screen.

Q: Lenovo Yoga 900 wont load pass the Lenovo screen.

I bought the Lenovo yoga 900 in December as i was about start medical school, now after only about 6 months of use, while i was using it one evening, i decided to take a break from school work, when I got back to my computer it had powered down and tried to reboot but didn't make it pass the Lenovo screen, i tired exhausting the battery power and trying it again but to no avail. so my question is has anyone had this kind of problem before and if so what is the solution? Also is this a common problem and how long is the company warranty for my 6 month old computer, in case i need to give it back to get something more reliable, its kind of disheartening as i had believed this was the best decision i made for medical school, but now am left with the possibility of failing the semester due to faullty equipment. SOOO PLEASE SOMEBODY HELP ME SAVE MY SEMESTER. Thnak youjay

Preferred Solution: Lenovo Yoga 900 wont load pass the Lenovo screen.

I recommend downloading and running Reimage. It's a computer repair tool that has been proven to identify and fix many Windows problems with a high level of success.

I've used it in the past to identify and fix everything from blue screens (BSOD's), ActiveX errors, corrupt files and processes, dll/exe/sys errors, recover lost memory, Windows update problems, defragging, malware removal etc.

You can download it direct from this link http://downloadreimage.com/download.php. (This link will automatically start a download of Reimage that you can save to your computer.)

A:Lenovo Yoga 910 wont load pass the Lenovo screen.

Try getting into BIOS first and loading default settings. To do this, press the small "Novo" button (you'll need a paperclip for this), and select "BIOS setup". From there, use the arrow keys to get to the "exit" tab and select load default settings.

If this doesn't work, let me know.

Since you have to hunt around different Lenovo sites (and other sites) to find out about these softwares, I decided to make a post to get feedback from actual Yoga owners on how these programs interact, what they do, which ones are prerequisite, and which ones are unnecessary. Please don't take this as a blanket answer. This is just what I have found. It might be right - it might be wrong. I'm looking for others to post their experiences as well. Lenovo System Interface Foundation Driver - Necessary prerequisite (missing driver in device manager without it). It allows the Lenovo Utility and Lenovo Companion to work. Lenovo Yoga Mode Control - Necessary if you want to use your yoga to seemlessly change between all the different modes (laptop, tablet, tent, stand). This software is responsible for autorotating and putting Windows into tablet mode. Lenovo Utility - Recommended(?) This one I'm not too sure on. I remember that I was missing some function that I wanted but I can't remember what it was now. Maybe battery cycle count and health? Lenovo Companion - I don't have this one installed and don't think it's necessary but would like someone else to shed some light here.

I recently acquired a lenovo laptop B570 CHEAP. had cracked screen and I knew so when I bought it, figured it might be worth fixing seeing as lenovo is GOOD stuff, right? Anyways I turned it on after ordering replacement charger from Ebay and it just sits on the POST screen. Any idea what could be wrong?? I tap the F2 to enter setup and it will say please wait for like 5 minutes-10 minutes. I pulled the HDD and it still wont pass post. It appears to have been dropped somewhat onto its side, hence the cracked screen. Is it a orst case/fried motherboard scenario??

I purchased a Lenovo Yoga 3.14 laptop from Best Buy about a year and a half ago. Unfortunately I have had to send it out twice so far because the keyboard stopped working. It was within warranty, so this cost me $0. Now, the computer won?t turn on at all (just 4 months after my warranty expired). I went to best buy to have the computer looked at and was told it may be a big problem. The computer has no physical or water damage of any kind. Sending it out for testing and repair it will likely cost me over $500. The computer was originally $800 and with its record of needing repairs I don?t think it would be wise to repair it just to have it break again (as it does once every six months.) I am finding it very difficult to get any support information from lenovo itself. I have never heard of a computer breaking so quickly and so often. I sent them feedback, but I dont actually know if they will contact me about it. Has anyone else had success using 'feedback' or over the phone? I love this computer and I would buy it again if I knew it wouldnt have these issues or they would give me some guarantee or discount. Thanks for any help!

A:Lenovo Yoga 720 wont charge

You sure it's not "plugged in, not charging?"

What charge does the battery indicator say it's at? Windows won't allow charging until battery capacity has dropped below 90%. So, if you plug it in at 95%, you'll get that message.

Hello Dws520Thanks for using the Lenovo forums. Was this the creators update?
If so, have a look on the following post, this should show if your device has been tested with the update yet:
https://support.lenovo.com/gb/en/solutions/ht503655

From what I can see, your unit does not seems to have made the list, which leads me to believe that this will be the cause of the issue, I would recommend that you revert back to the previous version of Windows, and observe if the fault still occurs or not.

Hope this helps, let us know how you get on.==================================================================================Did someone help you today? Thank them with a Kudo! If you find a post helpful and it answers your question, please mark it as an "Accepted Solution"!

Hello, I purchased a new lenovo Yoga 720 15" model #80X7003VUS and have been having severe performance issues related to CPU throttling due to temperatures on Core #0 approaching the Thermal Juncture Limit.  I noticed initial symptoms while playing Dota 2 - Not exactly a demanding game for a 7700HQ + GTX 1050M. Symptoms were drastic drops in framerates to the low teens from a baseline of over 70.  I ran windows performance and resource monitor to diagnose and noticed that my CPU was downclocking causing the degraded performance. To confirm this I ran some diagnostics with both RealTemp and CoreTemp as monitoring tools and Prime95 to simulate artificial load. Below is a Snippet of the aforementioned test.CPU Full Load This test was run with Prime95 with 8 threads to load all 4 cores (4x2 since hyperthreading).  The CPUs are shown with 100% in the image as well as relevant temperatures.Core #0 and #2 are running extremely hot - with Max Temps hitting 100C and 97C respectively causing the processor to underclock to avoid damage, while Cores #1 and #3 are well within normal operating ranges. I halted this test due to fear of damage after less than a few minutes.  This second image shows the Core temperatures roughly a few minutes after the stopped tests once CPU load was roughly baseline with only light processes running (Load on all Cores less than 10%)CPU Base Load (Less than 10%) Finally this third imag... Also, Lenovo Solution Center is missing from the Start Menu. The second problem is that some tiles are blank in Start Menu. Seemingly it's the apps that aren't Metro. I'm not sure when the problem started, but I think it was like that since I got the PC. If I right click the apps, the only option will be "Pin to Start", and with some apps: Share and Rate. Hello. I'm having a substandard issue with my Lenovo Yoga Laptop that I will try to explain in complete detail. First I'll summarize what's going on, then I'll list all  the details that could be related to this problem, no matter how small, in order of most likely related to least likely related. I'm an IT technician so I have some grasp of computer troubleshooting, just keep in mind. Alright, so the issue is that my Lenovo ThinkPad Yoga (can't find exact model, label only days Yoga and its dated in 2013) will not boot into Windows 10 after I have done an upgrade from Windows 8.1 using Microsoft's media creation tool. More specifically, I was able to do the firat time setup and boot on once but after searching for Windows updates and restarting, the computer will not boot on. The most likely reason for this I believe is that the laptop doesn't recognize the SSD with Windows 10 on it. It can detect it in some ways but not others. In Lenovo diagnostics I'm not able to run a storage test, which is an option I know is usually there because I've troubleshooted these before, which leads me to believe it doesn't recognize it. However, boot menu and BIOS recognize the drive. Attempting to boot to it from boot menu gives a long black screen and then it takes me back to boot menu. Letting my computer boot up normally also gives a long black screen after the ThinkPad logo and the automatically goes to boot menu. The other diagnostics for Lenovo hardware all pass. So some... My son accidentally got his leg caught in the cord of his laptop when he got up and the laptop  fell approximately 2 feet to the tile floor.  It boots up but stays on the Lenovo splash screen.  If I go into the BIOS and select System Recovery it goes through the "Loading files..." process, the Lenovo splash screen appears with the dots going in a circle but, then after about 2 minutes of that the screen just goes black.  If I tilt the screen forward or back I can tell it is still backlit just with nothing to display.  Anything we can try?

I read other posts and none specifically addressed this for the 920 and the use of what is actually a good Lenovo config tool seems to be poorly documented.   I would think it would be the same for any Yoga model with Windows 10 and Lenovo Vantage installed.   I can't seem to find a version for Vantage, so hopefully this works on all versions.    1) Find and open Lenovo Vantage on your machine (use Cortana if needed).   This is the Responsive view and yours may look different...don't worry, options are the same.  Click on Hardware settings  2)  Click on Input (again, responsive view...whatever view you have should have this button labeled the same)  3)  This will open the Hardware Setting - Input UI.   Under 'Function Keys' click on the one that is labeled 'F1-F12' (should look like below, highlighted in blue) to make that the the Function the default setting for those keys...to further clarify: it will now be a Function Key (F1-F12) by default.    With this change, you will press the FN+ one of the function key for the Hot Key option (e.g. FN+F1=mute/unmute, FN+F2=volume down, etc.)     4)  Your change is already saved, so you can now X-out (click X in the upper right) of the pop-up windows created by that were created

Moreover, I was wondering if the Lenovo Active Pen also looses contact when writing if you hold the pen close to the nub. Thanks! for your help

A:Lenovo yoga 920 compatible with Lenovo active pen

Hi huQbbTCi,

Greetings.

Lenovo active pen 1 is also compatible with Yoga 920 as shown in the accessories search tool here PART # GX80K32884. It would be less sensitive to depth perception but with palm rejection enabled then you may not have the same issue on losing contact with it.

It would also be favorable to have it tried first before any purchase specially if you have someone that have it and compare it with other active pens whichever would be comfortable and efficient to your writing style.

Hope this helps answer your query.

After restarting, as it went onto the desktop the screen flickered constantly and was unusable. I then turned it off again and it wont turn on since. My issue now:Anyway after emailing lenovo, and sending it off they said it was the RAM. However after enquiring over a month after sending it off and paying for the repair they replied with:'We have received feedback from our repair provider in relation to your device in repair. Hi Kaya,

Welcome to the Lenovo community!

This issue may occur due to several reasons. Let us start with opening Excel in safe mode. To do that, follow the steps below.

Hold the Windows key and press R, type excel /safe (note there is a space between excel and /).

If the application works fine safe mode, try disabling the add-ins for the application and check the result.

Clear all the options.

I broke my screen a few weeks ago and after purchasing a replacement screen from a third party manufacturer I got it working for a few days. However, today, I was using it earlier and suddenly the screen turned into flickering pixelated lines for a few seconds then it went black. I've tried diassemblign and reassembling it to make sure all the connectors are intact but wasn't able to get it working again. Now I'm stuck in a situation where I don't know if my LCD is faulty or wether it's the LCD connector. How can I figure out what it is and would you happen to know the part number for the LCD connector. Any help would be appreciated.  EDIT: Another thing to note is that I am currently using it on an external monitor and when I go to display settings, it only identifies 1 monitor (the external one). I am not sure if this is indicative of something but maybe it could be useful. EDIT 2: Just discovered that my touch screen is still working. Thank You
