Internet Explorer 8 not displaying entire website

Q: Internet Explorer 8 not displaying entire website

I'm not exactly sure what the best subforum is to post this issue.

Yesterday I did a clean install of Windows 7 RC. I don't have any problems with this thing on other machines.

However if I go to the website www.weblogzwolle.nl I don't see the entire website. Has this got something to do with my screen? Or with Internet Explorer 8?
What I am missing is basically the side bars of the web page.

Thanks!

Edit: on another machine running the same Win7 RC and IE8 I can see the web page perfectly!

I recommend downloading and running Reimage. It's a computer repair tool that has been proven to identify and fix many Windows problems with a high level of success.

I've used it in the past to identify and fix everything from blue screens (BSOD's), ActiveX errors, corrupt files and processes, dll/exe/sys errors, recover lost memory, Windows update problems, defragging, malware removal etc.

You can download it direct from this link http://downloadreimage.com/download.php. (This link will automatically start a download of Reimage that you can save to your computer.)

Hello Plantje,

I seem to be able to see that website without any problems. You might see if using Compatibility View with the site may help. If not, then see if resetting IE8 may.

Hope this helps,

I've never had any problems whatsoever with IE. Suddenly, when I type google.com into the address bar and the page pops up, the entire IE freezes. The keyboard does nothing and the mouse cursor will move, but not click at all. The only thing I
can do is CTRL ALT DEL out of it. Everything else is working fine. I don't run any toolbars, but i ran the automatic fix off the Microsoft website anyway. It did nothing.
Weird thing- when I hit the keyboard after google pops up, the only effect it has is to just very slightly move the page up and down, almost like a flicker it's so subtle.

using a computer at work thats quite often used for internet only recently internet explorer 7 has been giving problems. Usually webpages will not be accessible in a certain Explorer window refreshing the page does nothing closing the window and opening a new one will give access to the page. I've received a few different seemingly random error I believe a 404 and 505 and others I can't remember. Some pages will take a long time to load while others take only seconds. Viruses periodically show up and the antivirus doesn't catch until I do a scan.

My feeble attempts at solving the problem have resulted in a return of menu Favorites but this is still not appropriate as the menu is not the same as the one that you add to when you add a site to favourites.
.INAPPROPRIATE MENU OR MENU PATH IN IE7
.UNUSUAL FOLDER LOCATIONS OF FAVORITES
.UNKNOWN PROPER PATH/LOCATION FOR FAVORITES FOLDER
I have located two lists of favourites, one in my personal file list and one in Saved Games folder (I've no idea how they got there or where they really should reside).
My objective is to get them back so that they are visible and accessable through Favorites.
What do I do first? Where the Favorites list reside?

For months, I've been scanning documents in compressed tif format. And I had associated IE to open the tif files. It's always worked just fine.

Yesterday, I installed the new Q323759 security patch for IE6. And today I can't open any of our tif files. The "open" button is greyed out, just as you say.

Today, I called MS tech support... because their help is free when you have questions about security patches, and I thought there might be a link between the the patch and my new problem. They kindly pointed me toward their knowledge base article Q319829, which provides a solution. Here it is...

What specifically do you mean by "not displaying"? Is it presenting a page stating that the page could not be found when attempting to browse, is it presenting a blank page, etc? IE does any number of things when it has trouble with web pages, so knowing specifically what it is doing will help us help you.

I have this problem in a few other websites but this one is the most known one :)
I need to use IE8 for my college website that isn't compatible on Chrome but apparently it's not showing up on IE either.
I'll show the problem at the Facebook webpage in hope the solution will help me for my college site as well. it's in hebrew so it'll probably won't help if i'll link to it.

The problem at the Facebook page, besides that I can only see the header is that I can't click any of the icons on the left side. (notifications/inbox/friend requests).
On the right side, the icons are clickable but I end up in another blank page with only the Facebook menu.
Here's a picture to demonstrate:

There's no yellow exclamation mark on the bottom.
Java and Flash are installed and updated.
I tried installing again, downgrading to IE7 (didn't help) and after getting back to IE8 I reset the settings (didn't help) and even followed a tutorial about deleting the IE registry entries and it still hasn't helped!
I'm using Windows XP Home edition with SP2.
It definitely used to work a few months ago, I have no clue what happened.
I installed Comodo firewall (but tried to disable it - didn't help) and also tried disabling my Anti-Virus and it didn't help either.

I'm really desperate right now as i'll need my college page on a daily basis and it only work with IE. for Facebook I can use Chrome but I only used it in the picture so you'll see the problem in a well known site.

I tried deleting the IconCache.db in the username folder but it did no good.
Any ideas how I might fix this??

Everytime I go to "www.lakewylie.com" I get the entire page to display except the weather window in the top right corner. Does anyone know why this happens? there is no pop-up blocker on the pc, I am running WE Blocker (which is a content filter) and AVG antivirus software on it. The computer is running under a user account not the adminstrative account (but happens in both and even with AVG and WE Blocker disabled).

Now this page displays just fine from other computers elsewhere just not on this one. PLEASE HELP ME BEAT THIS ONE!!!!

We are experiencing this error with a page we are trying to open from Internet Explorer 11 on Windows 10 32 bits that is not occurring on IE 11 on Windows 10 64 bits.
This is happening in all machines that we tried. It worked in our development environment and in the Bank environment on 64 bit Win10, and it fails in both environments in 32 bits Win10.
Also, we tried in physical and virtualized machines and the same happened.
The versions of IE11 (as shown below) are:
IE11 on 64Bit Win 10: 11.0.10240.16384
IE11 on 32bit Win 10: 11.306.10586.0
If we open the URL on IE11 on a Windows 10 64 bit, the pages displays fine:
On Windows 10 32bits, using the same URL, IE tries to ?recover? the page several times, until it displays an error:

Disabling ?recover mode? from IE settings also didn?t help, as IE hungs or shuts but nothing is displayed.
I?m attaching:

I've been experiencing a strange vista problems for maybe a month or two after some windows updates, prior to that everyone was working perfectly. The problem seems to occur after playing games such as World of Warcraft for a long period of time, after I would quit out of the game I would lose all internet connectivity but I could ping servers like google, if I tried to open up a webpage I would get the bizaare mess in the screenshot, if I tried to use the taskbar I would get the message "Logon failed to create the security Dialogue" Since then, i've done several fixes and at least, that message no longer appears and I can reboot normally.

After checking and doing research for the past month and eliminated possible faults such as memory, i've done testing with vista and X86 mem test, all passed. I've done research using event viewer, an often error was WMI error 15007, I followed the steps to correct it from various websites and no longer have the error but the problem still occurs but less frequently than before and the "Logon failed" message no longer appears though and I can restart the computer without switching it off the hard way..

But my question is, what would cause IE to seriously mess up like that? I've currently got very little installed on the computer, basically zonealarm, avast and world of warcraft. I've since switched to Firefox and instead when this error happens, on FF I get the error "Content Encoding Error" and if I imm... Read more

A:Internet Explorer losing connection and displaying weird mess...help?

Also, I've done all possible motherboard/networking driver updates possible, everything I can find has the very latest updates that I can find. I'm running a legit/activated copy that came with my computer, I brought it from cyberpowerpc back in June 08', it worked flawlessly until around November time after some updates, It initially got so bad that I had to reinstall vista but the problem still occurred but at least, its bearable at the moment but still, I would like to solve and fix this problem for good.

Hello everyone,
This issue is happening on my work computer. We recently upgraded to Windows 10, and I am currently running Internet Explorer 11. Prior to the upgrade to Windows 10 I had no issues, however after the upgrade a specific web page I use for work is displaying
incorrect characters on most of the links and buttons of the page. I have not noticed the issue on most web pages, however for a vital web page that we use to conduct business, it shows random characters instead of the text that should be there for the link.

Example: There is a tool bar that has options such as clicking "filter" to filter search results. However, my "filter" button shows a "F" as the link. Options beside it such as "clear all" and "Grid on/off"
instead show "w" and "j" for some odd reason. It just seems like the browser is displaying random characters instread of what it should be. There is even a link on the page that is a " ) " instead of the correct word it should
be displaying as a link.
Has anyone had similar issues before or have any idea what could be causing this? My colleagues all have my exact same setup and none of them are having issues. One colleague said sometimes he notices weird characters as soon as he loads the page, but it
corrects itself to the proper page display after a second or two. Perhaps something within IE 11 isn't loading correctly? Any ideas?

Thank you

I have just had a blue screen and using samsung restore I did a basic restore of windows 7, It's seems to have fixed Windows but now when I try to use internet explorer it opens with the tool bars and I can use Google tool bar to search but the main screen is blank white.

Additionally I thought it maybe a virus that caused the issue but when I have tried to update AVG the interface is not displaying properly and any buttons are completely blank and do not show any text.

Thirdly any text in any program is in the same font (times new roman i think).

I can connect to the internet fine with firefox but even with this the font is an issue and when trying to update avg using firefox the buttons on download process are blank

tibia-inject.com/ping.php?id=68085&conf=uwp33&infid=1375893814&infname=lol (DONT CLICK IT!!!!!!!!!)

So far I have failed to remove this but I suppose its some sort of keylogger for the game tibia. I have zemana Antilogger but it doesnt catch this 1.
All of my attempts to remove it or finding information on the web on how to remove it have not been succesfull all I found are known rogue program sites so I obviously avoided them in order to not get anything even worse.

If anyone have encountered a similar problem or can refer me to a topic on how to remove this horribly nasty infection and willing to share it here please do.

Thanks

i've looked all over the net and i can't seem to find the answer to why my internet explorer won't open www.ezboard.com. I have a problem with shdoclc.dll i believe. Whenever i go to ezboard it says "cant find server." thats the only page that i've had trouble with. I know the problem isn't with ezboard though because i can get on the site on my college campus computers. My computer downstairs and this computer both won't let me access any sites on ezboard. I use Windows XP SP1. HELP ME PLEASE! I've tried hp recovery to see if that works and it didn't. i can't delete internet explorer either. there isn't the option on the add/remove programs list to delete IE.

here's my hijack log.

Your log is actually clean. Here's a couple tools to try, let me know if they work in resolving your problem.

Please download Ad-aware SE and install it if you don't have it already. Make sure it's the newest version and check for any updates before running it. Go to this site to get the plug-in for fixing VX2 variants. To run this tool, go into Ad-aware->Add-ons and select VX2 Cleaner. Then click Run Tool and OK to start it. If it's clean, it will say Status System Clean. Otherwise, you will have to click on the Clean button to remove the VX2 infection. Also make sure to customize the settings in Ad-aware for better scan results. Run the scan and fix everything that it finds.

Download WinsockFix and unzip it. Then double-click on it to run it.

Hello everyone,

Recently i have purchased a new web design for my web hosting company website, the website template was ok at the start but after i customised it everything went pearshaped, i use the built-in HTML editor in cPanel which is a web hosting control panel to edit my website viewing it from Mozilla Firefox, everything looks ok and the website was getting on great but when i went to view my website on Internet explorer everything looked messed up the text was everywhere the images where misplaced, so i though this is just my PC playing up again so i asked my friend who has both IE7 & IE8 Beta, it was roughly the same, i don't no what to do anymore. Any ideas how i can fix this?

Thanks

Hi, I think this goes in this category but I'm not sure- I have two Experience Project ( www.experienceproject.com) accounts, and I can usually use them both, but yesterday, and the problem has persisted into this morning, I log on/refresh the page, and the webpage goes white and says 'Sorry, your account is temporarily unavailable. Please try again later, or if the problem persists, please contact us.' There is a link on contact us but it doesnt go anywhere either. If someone could tell me the problem, and/or what I should do it would be very much appreciated as I really need to communicate with someone on there soon. Thanks x

A:I can't get on a certain website on Internet Explorer as its temporarily unavailable?

Try again tomorrow. If it persists, try a different web browser.
