I recommend downloading and running Reimage. It's a computer repair tool that has been proven to identify and fix many Windows problems with a high level of success.
I've used it in the past to identify and fix everything from blue screens (BSOD's), ActiveX errors, corrupt files and processes, dll/exe/sys errors, recover lost memory, Windows update problems, defragging, malware removal etc.
You can download it direct from this link http://downloadreimage.com/download.php. (This link will automatically start a download of Reimage that you can save to your computer.)

And redirection to https://www.best2serve.com/ takes place. I am pretty sure that it was possible before. What's changed? Best, Tad

I am looking for experience from others who have tried to get HP to perform its Care Pack warranty obligations. I have had an incredibly frustrating experience -- the worst customer service experience of my life -- and am worried that HP may never perform the repair. Has anyone had an experience in which HP completely failed to make a warranty repair? Also, has anyone been able to get their money back when HP failed to live up to its Care Pack warranty? The cooling fan on my HP Envy x360 laptop died 14 days ago. When I boot up the computer the screen tells me the cooling fan is not functioning and then the computer shuts down. The cooling fan had been making a loud noise so I believe the computer when it says this is the problem. (The computer updated the BIOS and that didn't help. I also have sprayed compressed air into the fan vents and that didn't help). I purchased the computer about 18 mos ago. I bought a two-year "3-day on site" warranty six months ago when the original warranty was ready to expire. Thirteen days ago, I placed a telephone order for repair with HP. I received acknowledgement of the order and an email setting a date for a repair technician to arrive and replace the part on the third business day. All good so far. Two days later, I received an email telling me that the part was on backorder and the technician would not be paying the service call. I have called HP support almost every day since then and not one promise they have made to me ha... Read moreRead other answers
Hi Having owned an excellent and trouble free HP Envy 17-1050ea for the last 5 years I decided to update to Windows 10, which I do like... BUT I don't think that a 5 year old notebook was as compatible as they thought.. I started to get a black screen when I put the notebook to sleep and opened the lid to wake it, then it would be black on reboot which needed a restore... All solutions on the internet failed.. I decided to revert back to Windows 7 but that well and truly broke it! so much for an easy roll back... SO now a full restore is to be done. I suspect that most the issues reading what I can find on the internet are all related to upgrades to Windows 10 not new machines out of the box with Windows 10 So, on Friday I purchased another HP Envy, the 17-n152sa which I am so far really happy with and it comes with WIndows 10 which I hope will be more reliable with WIndows 10 .. So, I want to get an HP Care pack for the new one, can you point me in the right direction to purchase one in the UK? I have done a search but so far I seem to be missing it Lol Thanks StuartRead other answers

I have four HP laptops and 1 desk top. Its's technical support is awful. My desk top has problems and despite a few calls, the problems still have not been resolved. I just don't have the time to wait over the phone to get it fixed. I just bought a laptop on 06/04/2016. It was shipped to me in mid-June. I bought the care Pack and have encountered so many problems just trying to registered it. On the first occasion, I reported to an employee called Asig, I gave her the serial number and the product number, when she sent me the email of confirmation, the serial number was wrong, despite the fact that she repeated the numbers I told her over the phone. Also, she gave me a wrong Product number. I later found out that HP gave me a different Product number when I made the order. On inspection of the laptop inside, the product number is totally different. Then I made a few calls to the technical department and finally managed to confirm with them that the product number should be the one in the laptop. However, they told me to make the correction with Care Pack department. So I call Care Pack and talked to Richard on 06/20/2016, he corrected the serial number for me and sent me a confirmation email. However, the product number is still wrong. So, I called again and talked Gabby on 06/21/2016, she confirmed that the correct product number in the laptop had now been on record but she had no idea why the second email still reflected the wrong one. She promised to se... Read moreRead other answers

I purchased a HP Envy 700-311 Desktop computer on January 6, 2015 with a one year warranty. On Sept 24, 2015, I received an e-mail from HP offering a 20% discount if I renewed my service contract at this time with a 3 year HP Care Pack purchase which I did. I have been told my HP that my 3 year Hp Care Pack expires on January 5, 2018. I have inquired why was this back dated 9 months. I was told since I have a new computer that I was protected for that time by this new HP Care Pack which I did not have during that time nor did I need it. No where was any mention of back dating the HP Care Pack. If HP did not intend to honor a 3 year contact you should made it clear in the beginning. I'm very upset this process and frustated.
Hi @M7ckey?, I have brought your issue to the attention of an appropriate team within HP. They will likely request information from you in order to look up your case details or product serial number. On Nov 28th I purchased a 3 year HP Care Pack. My current warranty expires on Dec 28th, 2016. I notice when accessing my HP Support Assistant it is showing that the standard warranty end date is 12/28/2016, which is correct. However it is showing that I have 2 year warranty remaining and my Care Pack end date is 12/12/18. According to my information if my current warranty ends on 12/28/2016 and I just purchased a 3-year warranty then the Care Pack end date should be 12/29/2019. I contacted tech support through my HP Support Assistant and they referred me to www.hpshopping.com and said to contact the Home and Office Sales team to resolve this issue. I don't find anywhere on that page that pertains to my problem. When I click on Automatic Warranty Check it will either time out or tell me that can't find my information. Can someone give me a more specific link or place to go to get this problem corrected ?

I have run several warranty checks, care pack checks etc and it shows that there is no warranty or extended warranty on the laptop. Today the serial number is not recognised on these sites at all. Previously it would only try and sellmemore warranty. This was purchased 9 days ago fromthe official HP site. I feel like I have been ripped off somehow. Does anyone know if this isnormal and it will eventuallyshow under warranty or am I just hoping.

Bought extended warranty, HP Fed ex-ed me a package with a card in it for the Care Pack. The card has a sticker with a barcode. When I try to register the Care pack, I get the message that this is not a Correct Care pack serial #, there was no other numbers on the card and really no included info explaining the care pack. Pretty poor customer service, and I see others have the same issue. I have gotten emails from HP about the purchase of the warranty, but no serial # in any of those emails either. Pretty unhappy, what a waste of time! Process should be far simpler, and preferably automated, especially considering I purchased the Care Pack following a link to the store out of HP Support Assistant.Read other answers

Purchased an HP Spectre X360 512ssd, 16gb a few weeks ago. Model 13-W0xx. Really like it! Is it worth it to get an HP Care Pack? This is my first HP laptop. I've had Dell and Lenovo prior to this. Also..which one? In my HP Support Assistant, it recommends an HP 2 Year w/Accidental Care, #U9ED4A for around $60. When I go to the HP Care Pack web-site, though, they list three plans specifically for the Spectre, that range from $170-190 for 2 years or 3 years (example: U9EE2A). Obviously, $60 seems like a better deal, and I was assuming that the HP Support Assistant on my laptop would be recommended the correct plan, but it seems like it could be wrong. Also, I heard that if you don't use it, they refund the price of the plan. Anyone try that? Have they really refunded you?Read other answers
Hi, I just got out of an online chat with an HP technician who informed me, after helping me through troubleshooting for what was a faulty battery, that the Extended Warranty Care Pack taken out for the laptop did not cover the battery. Their reasoning was that "The unit is covered under warranty but the warranty for the batteri is expired." If this is true then when I look up the laptop's current warranty status on HP's website, what it tells me is a bit misleading: "Active: Covered under Extended warranty, 42 months remaining" (for reference HP Support Assistant tells me the warranty for the laptop is a HP Care Pack and lasts until 2020). When I hover over the question mark icon on HP's website next to the warranty status, the icon brings up a box which states: "Warranty Status Types ?Manufacturer?s warranty? refers to the warranty included with the product upon first purchase. ?Extended warranty? refers to any extra warranty coverage or product protection plan, purchased for an additional cost, that extends or supplements the manufacturer?s warranty." So then I'm curious about a few things. 1. How can I see what exactly this Extended Warranty covers? In HP Support Assistant it justs lists HP Care Pack and the date it is set to expire. 2. What exactly does a HP Care Pack normally cover if it doesn't fully extended the warranty as the website lookup would lead you to believe? 3. If th... Read moreRead other answers

Windows 7 Service Pack 1 for x64-based Systems (KB976932)
Download size: 9.1 MB
You may need to restart your computer for this update to take effect.
Update type: Important
Windows 7 Service Pack 1 is a recommended collection of updates and improvements to Windows that are combined into a single installable update. The service pack can help make your computer safer and more reliable. A typical installation will take about 30 minutes to complete, and you will have to restart your computer about halfway through the process.
This is a brand new PC that was loaded with factory Windows 7 SP1 so what is going on here?
Can I simply ignore the update? My only concern is that somehow MS updates will is considering
Windows 7 outdated and that I will receive no more updates since the Service Pack 1 is showing up
in the update section. How the heck is the possible with a factory image. One other thing that might help is that before I could check for any new updates Windows said I required a update to windows update. I
Did this update before finding the lastest updates. Also many updates are post cut off date for Windows 7 SP 0 so it did show updates until December 2014, I guess I will find out it Windows will continue to supply new updates this coming Tuesday...

Anyone who knows the issues with CODECS for Vista will probably know about Shark007's Vista Codec Pack and how it solved all codec issues in one small package.
Well, Shark has recently released the VCP for Windows 7 (Alpha but stable!)
The info can be found at Shark007's Homepage for Win 7 CODECS and downloaded from MajorGeeks.
Excellent history for these packages, small footprint, effective and all you need for every media file to play in WMP and WMC...GET YOURS TODAY!
NOTE - There seems to be a behaviour noted in Vista that possibly has carried over to Win7 as well. It's not a VCP related behaviour but it CAN affect if some files play or not.
Vista (and Win7) come with both a 32 & 64bit version of WMP and it was found in Vista that if you associated a certain file type with WMP while the 64bit player was set to the default, that file association could NOT be changed even if WMP was set to use the 32bit player as default afterwards. This causes certain file types to be Unplayable due to 64bit WMP's limitations (well actually it's CODEC limitations). There are no functional differences between 32 or 64bit WMP but because of "lazy" CODEC developers, many CODECS are not 64bit compatible...yet.
Because of this, most of us set the 32bit WMP as default before making any file association changes for WMP. This way the 32bit WMP will play all file types with no issues using VCP. Unfortunately, if you have opened a media file in W7 and checked the "asso... Read more
