Q: Sign-In/Sign-Out Programs

Does anyone know any good Sign-In/Sing-Out Board programs for windows for business use??

Preferred Solution: Sign-In/Sign-Out Programs

I recommend downloading and running Reimage. It's a computer repair tool that has been proven to identify and fix many Windows problems with a high level of success.

I've used it in the past to identify and fix everything from blue screens (BSOD's), ActiveX errors, corrupt files and processes, dll/exe/sys errors, recover lost memory, Windows update problems, defragging, malware removal etc.

You can download it direct from this link http://downloadreimage.com/download.php. (This link will automatically start a download of Reimage that you can save to your computer.)

You have recently removed one or more virusus from this computer, but now a new one has appeared.

First, AOL is extremely slow to start when I click on the icon. Once I've signed on, after a time a new sign-on screen appears on top of what I'm doing. I cancel that one. Soon I see activity at the bottom of the screen (where ordinarily you see "Done" or "//http:/..." etc. The virus is doing its own AOL activity! Soon afterward AOL is canceled, as if I had canceled it.

Also, Microsoft XP suddenly announces they are having to increase my virtual memory. Paging size is currently at 384 Mb, and my RAM is 1.25 GB. This is happening more and more frequently.

I have again changed my AOL sign-on password, and I no longer permit it to use the password automatically (I have to enter it at each sign on).

Thanks for any help you can provide.

I went into my User Accouts in the Control Panel. I deleted a User called Nathon. I created a new user account with Admin authority named Jack.
However, everytime that I start my computer from my morning bootup, the Signon Window has the deleted User, Nathon.
I have to type in Jack, for the new user, and I get into Jacks Account.

Why is Windows not remembering that I have deleted the USER, Nathon?

I have never had such a problem with any of my other windows computers.

After having done the update, I'm having two issues that are bugging me:

1. I cannot change the lock screen from the "cave by the shore" default nor bypass it (Brink is working on the bypass issue I believe)

2. If I go into netplwiz and uncheck the need for a password, the "Welcome" screen has the system default user picture, that drawing of a circle over an arch, not the picture I assigned to the account. With the need for a password, the picture on both the sign-in screen and "Welcome" screen is correct tho.

The lock screen issue I can live with since I normally don't use a password, but the default user picture is bugging me. I went into %ProgramData%\Microsoft\User Account Pictures and replaced all the default pictures with ones the same name and size of the picture that I have for the account, but it still shows the default.

I've searched around for another place where the default picture is, but cannot find any, even with the search including hidden system files.

Anybody know where the system default user pictures are stored, other than in the User Account Pictures?

Hello TheSchaft,

Q1) I've added OPTION THREE in the tutorial below to be able to disable the lock screen again, but it doesn't do so at startup.

Lock Screen - Enable or Disable in Windows 10
Q2) I'm not aware of way to stop this yet when you have netplwiz set to automatically sign in to an account at startup. The blue note box at the top of the tutorial below will show you the default locations for account pictures to help.

So I just reinstalled Windows 10 on my machine.

Before I had it set up so that I could log in with a password or fingerprint.

Now it seems my only options are (1) password only OR (2) password, PIN or fingerprint.

I don't want PIN as a sign in option. But I have to enable PIN via "Windows Hello" before enabling Fingerprint sign in.

And once I have fingerprint sign in enabled, if I remove the PIN I lose both PIN and fingerprint sign in options.

Any ideas how I can set up password and fingerprint as my only two sign in options?

Hey everyone

Every now and then my Windows 8.1 x64 shows the first sign-in sequence after a restart. I noticed it most recently happened after a normal Start->Power Options->Restart. I'm quite sure it has also happened after right clicking on start button (Control-X) and restarting from there, as well as from a custom shortcut I have for restart (shutdown.exe /r /t 00).

I had just finished installing IBM SPSS 22 for a class I'm taking, but I think this is unrelated.
It goes through the whole "Setting Up Your PC" and "Installing your apps" screens even though its perfectly fine and and all my data including app data is still there. See the attached file for an example of what was most noticeably shown.

With another incident, something similar to this happened but it actually reset some of my settings for things like MediaMonkey, Connectify Hotspot, GOM Player and VLC player. It was like they had been started for the first time ever with no license information or preferences like Always on Top.

Its not a matter of urgency but I keep worrying that one day it will actually mess with my system in a very annoying way.

Has anyone else experienced anything like this?

Windows Fixit, num lock fix 50087, kb 154529

Vista Home Premium, Acer Aspire 6930, Centrino 2 duo, 4g memory.

Since installing this fix, which did'nt work, I keep getting the popup error message 'LogonUI.exe (this varies) -Bad Image, then text 'C:\PROGRA-1\google\GOOGLE-2\GOEC62-1.DLL is either not designed to run on Windows or contains an error.' Before installing it said setting a restore point, trying to restore there are no restore points. How is this, thought the system (Vista home premium) automatically set restore points. This popup is messing the system up bigtime, almost impossible to load programs etc. as it constantly pops up and will not cancel.
Any clues on how I might get rid of this problem? Unable to find help on Microsoft sites.

My younger brother and I share a computer. It is Windows 10 Pro. I was letting him use it while i was asleep. All I know is that he was playing his video games. Anyways, he left the house to go hang out somewhere and i wake up to see that when i turn on the computer, only his account shows at the sign-in screen. Meanwhile, there are THREE accounts on this computer. My account, His account, and a local that my other siblings use sometimes. I restarted and even shut down my computer about 4 times. I waited until he came back and logged on his account to check what was wrong, and I see that my account is still there with all my files and docs. The other local account is there too. I log out to see if my User name is there but it isn't. I tried to see if my account was deactivated using these methods but none of them worked. I've looked on Microsoft's forums but all I found was how to activate the built-in administrator account. Please do your best to help!! I have important work to do on my account but i can't access it.

I Just had a log in error. I have a Dell Precision 7710 mobile work station with the Anniversary Update. I turned on the machine and tried to log in and got:

We can't sign into your account
This problem can often be fixed by signing out of your account, then signing back in. If you don't sign out now, any files that you create or changes that you make will be lost.

Logging out and restarting did not work. I shut it down, undocked (it is a Thunderbolt Cable Dock), and then restarted. Luckily it was back to normal log in. I shut down docked, and booted and it was normal log in again.
Not sure what happened. Hope the issue does not come back.

I read online this happened to others, but cannot find a cause or fix (other than restarting) and wondering if anyone knows why this happened.

Hello all,
I'll try to make this short. It's all about the sign in screen with multiple users.
Computer: Dell, ordered 1 yr ago, P4, 1.5 GB Mem, 80GB HD, 250 GB HD added (internal), Win XP Media Center 2005.
We have 5 users on our PC: Me, the Wife and the 3 kids.
Each person signs in with their user account.
Everything runs great, fast and nice.
SOMETIMES... and I mean sometimes... after someone logs out of their user session the computer will sit at the user sign in screen (or goes to screensaver if it sits for over 10 minutes) then when someone goes to sign in, they click on their name and/or the icon, the white text box for the password pops up but there is NO cursor flashing waiting for you to type in your password. When you click in the text box after it comes up you still do not get a cursor.
Doesn't happen all the time and cannot find a pattern.

I'm a Software Eng., former PC builder and keep our PC very clean. This is not a junked-up box.

Thanks for any help.

Well, I wonder if those virus software's recommended here , Malware and superantispyware and avast and windows really do any good. For years I have been an AOL paying member until Time Warner merged with them and from then on, a non -paying member, cause TW and Aol allowed it. Reason i am mentioning this is because I cannot get any type of response from AOL in my latest problem with their browser. For the past 2 or 3 days I am not able to get beyond the welcome screen. If i click on any of its tabs, aol does not respond. I can't open mails and etc. I noticed that the welcome screen is not up to its standard, most inset screens were blank, hardly any images as the welcome screen is noted for. By tweaking the internet, I was told that a virus has infected my browser. So i scanned and defragged my entire C drive to no avail...that is why I mentioned the validity of these virus programs. So i thought by reinstalling AOL as an existing member, it might get rid of the problem...but that has not helped either.

I recently got a computer fromwork hooked up at my house. By mistake, they sent two so I decided to keep the extra one. I'd like to get by the NT ctr-alt-del sign-on. My sign on for the other comuter dosn't work. Do I have to do a clean install? All I really want to do is be able to bypass that sign on. Any other suggestions.

It will always prompt you for a password with the alt-ctrl-del even if you do a fresh install. You can go into the registry and enter the username and password and it will automatically log in every time if you like.

A:Nothing Will Sign In!... Can Anyone Please Help?

Errorcode: 0x800B0004 or 800b001 (with MSN Messenger 7)
"Signing in to .NET Messenger Service failed because the service is temporarily unavailable. Please try again later."
This error is usually caused by Windows being unable to find a .dll file that is needed by MSN Messenger for security.
To resolve it, you can download this file and run it. It will register all the required .dll files which means Windows can find them.
If you prefer, you can also type the following commands yourself to register the .dll files
First open a command prompt by clicking start, then run. In the "run" screen, type: cmd and press enter. You get a command prompt window now. Now, type the following commands and press enter after each command:
regsvr32 softpub.dll, regsvr32 Wintrust.dll, regsvr32 Initpki.dll, regsvr32 Dssenh.dll, regsvr32 Rsaenh.dll, regsvr32 Gpkcsp.dll, regsvr32 Sccbase.dll, regsvr32 Slbcsp.dll, regsvr32 Mssip32.dll, regsvr32 Cryptdlg.dll.
You can now close the command prompt screen and Messenger should work correctly again.

Hello. I was trying to sign into the domain on one of my workstations when I got an error message. I solved that problem before by removing the computer from server, joining a workgroup, then rejoining the domain. Only problem is that this time, when I joined a workgroup, I forgot the password to sign on locally, and Last Known Good Configuration won't help in this case. Is there anyway to sign on to the local machine? Even if I'd have to create another account, that's fine. Or is there a way to get the computer to give me the option to log on to a domain? Thanks a lot

Hello, new guy here. Maybe someone can help me with this.

There are two computers in my house, both are connected to the same wireless router and DSL modem, one via a LAN cable, the other with a wireless USB hub.

I have two AIM screen names. I can sign into AIM on both computers with my less frequently used screen name. I can sign into the wired computer using my primary screen name, but I cannot sign into the wirelessly connected computer using my primary screen name.

When I type in my username and password and hit enter, it says "Connecting...", then "Transferring..." then "Connection failed."

I have tried to fix the problem using aol live help and I have exhausted all options they have given me there, including:

-checking the clock settings
-restoring the internet explorer settings to default
-turning off the windows firewall and testing it
-emptying the browser cache

I'm trying to enter sign in, its loading and then a blank screen shows up. If I touch the mousepad the cursor shows up, nothing else.I even kept the  laptop switched on for the night but the blank screen never changed

Hi, Try the following. Shutdown the notebook and leave it like this for 10 seconds. Tap away at f11 as soon as you press the power button until you see a 'Windows is loading' message. On the next screen, select your Keyboard Layout and on the following screen, select Troubleshoot. Select 'Advanced Options' and then select System Restore. Click on your Operating System and then wait until the System Restore window opens. Pick a restore point at least 48 hours before this issue first occurred and then proceed with the system restore. Regards, DP-K

Q: £ sign

Hi - I'm running Win 7 Pro on a Dell E5410 laptop.

Until quite recently I could insert the sign into files using the key combination Fn +Alt with characters 'jio' - which method was used to write this thread. This seemed to work in any document form e.g. doc or txt. It now no longer works in the doc format but does in others, so can be imported when needed quite easily. My question is - why does it no longer work in docs?

Recently i have done format in my computer. And after that unable to connect to internet. It's showing Red X sign. Please tell me how i can get out of this problem.

A:Red X sign in LAN

It sounds like you just need to install the driver for your NIC. If you still have any of the CD's that came with your computer, then you may be able to get the network driver that way. If you don't have any of the CD's, then download the network driver from a working machine and then install it to your computer.

I  am new to this forum so I hope I am in the right place and thread.  I have a E-Machine (I know, junk) that is only a few years old.  I have been gone all winter and returned and tried to log on.  It said "other user" and wanted a user name and password.  I tried everything I know and nothing works.  No one has used it while we were gone so I don't know what happened unless I accidently hit something while I was trying to log on. Obviously now I can't use it at all so I am writing this from my laptop.   Can anyone help?

A:Please help. Can't sign on

You could try a password recovery program such as Ophcrack. I've never used it myself but it sounds good. I would suggest using the bootable version.
Official website for Ophcrack:
Download link for the bootable image for vista computers (since you have vista this is what you would want):
Here is a guide on how to use Ophcrack bootable version (it's done in detail):

can someone please help?

A:why can i sign into msn

I do not understand your problem. Please explain it more clearly.

- Is MSN your internet service provider?
- Do you connect through a dial-up modem? (using your phone line)
- Do you have a cable modem?
- The program I believe you are referring to is Internet Explorer, not enternet.
- I do not know what you mean by "it kicks to to the hit the refresh button detect network settings page"
- What does this mean "so i have been calling and everthing msn tells me doesnt work"? Who have you called? MSN support?

Over the last couple of weeks I have noticed with increasing frequency I am having trouble logging into my Windows 8.1 notebook. I try to sign in at the usual screen after boot and get the following message... "You can't sign in to your PC right now.
Go to account.live.com to fix the problem, or try the last password you used on this PC." The way it works is I get this message the first two times I try and the 3rd time it works (all using the same password that I have always used). My wife has a Surface
running 8.1 RT and she is getting the same issue. Anyone know what is going on?

A:You can't sign in to your PC right now.

Thanks Kate.  In my case, I don't login with a local account at all.  When I installed 8.1 I went with the Microsoft account only.  I don't think that article would apply.  Also, I think I have found the problem.  My notebook has
SSDs and boots up very quickly.  I notice this only happens when I enter the password immediately on boot.  I think I am entering it faster than the wireless has established a connection which is causing the disconnect.  If I wait even 10 seconds
longer it works.

I have not been able to sign in to MSN, including Messenger and MSN email for the past two weeks when it has worked fine for the last two years. I am able to get onto the internet and browse. I noticed on my MSN billing that the computer was connected to the internet in the middle of the night without our having done so. The contact from MSN says it is highly improbable that someone is accessing our computer from outside - yeah, I don't believe him. I've read through many threads here and took the recommended steps including downloading and running Spybot and AdAware. I also downloaded hijackthis and saved the log at home. I am unable to access my email at home so I could not activate my account last night. I will paste the log into this thread tonight. Hopefully I will be able to do that, since I have not been able to send out other messages from home. I am unplugging the computer from the phone line after using it. I looked at the Event viewer and noticed that the Event log had been turned on and off when the technical descriptions say that cannot be done. I hope that you will be able to find something from my hijackthis.

We can't sign in to MSN. My teenagers are driving me crazy with this, because life won't go on for them, until its fixed. This is the third time its happened since I've had this computer. I have Windows XP Home Edition, 2002. They try to sign in, but a message will come up, "attempt1, attempt2, & so on," then it'll say there must be a problem with their connection, Shaw Cable, or mine, but, I'm connected, so its obviously ok. I haven't purchased a firewall, except what is on the computer, & have AVG the free edition for an antivirus. I've tried doing a system restore before, & this has fixed the problem, but, it didn't work this time. If anyone has any solututions to this, I would sure appreciate it. Thanks. -----Colleen J
