I recommend downloading and running DAP. It can help sort out any driver and firmware related issues on your system

It's worked out well for many of us in the past.

You can download it direct from this link http://downloaddap.org. (This link will open the download page of DAP so you can save a copy to your computer.)

I don't have a C930 and you don't say what kind of monitor you have, but the 2 USBC monitors I have used need a separate power supply connection.

I have the C930 FHD version and am connected to a 23" 1920x1080 display. My admittedly newb-ish question: Can my Yoga support a much larger 4k display or will that display max at the same resolution as my Yoga? Thanks in advance.

Hi everyone.  I got my brand new Yoga C930 two weeks ago. I have also got an external monitor. Unfortunately the external monitor is blurry when connected both through the original usb-c to HDMI port I got together with the laptop, or through the port replicator I got from Lenovo. Tried all the threads...same resolution on both, recommended resolution...DPI...nothing works. Anyone has any idea how to solve this? Lenovo support told me it's due to the monitor...which is strange as it is a brand new monitor on whicvh I have no issue when connecting my 4 yoars old HP laptop. Dragos.

Hi, I would like to set my c930 monitor to 1920x1080 instead of native 4k, in order to optimize battery life and to use an external full hd monitor as dual monitor without resizing/zooming issues. All is working, but I notice an issue on laptop monitor. It seems that using a full hd resolution instead of native 4k, the image quality is poor.... Do I need to set special configuration?

Hi, I'm interested in getting the new C930 or C930 Glass. However, my work requires me to use the num lock keys and I wanted to know if there's support for it. Usually in laptops, since we don't have dedicated num keys, they use the keys 7,8,9, U, I, O etc... Does the C930 support it? Thanks

Is this normal? i expected to get around 9-10 hours for the web browsing. Also keep in mind i am on better performance so not the best performance or anything. Ya if i lower the performance even more i might be able to get a little more but i dont think thats normal. I dont have the 4k version either just the regular. I received this laptop as a replacememt of my defective yoga 720 the 18 October. After somw days of usage I can finally say that I ve got scammed by Lenovo, who sent me a testing unit with so mant problems! - Wacom pen and touch issues (such as ghosting and deas zones)- TouchPad gets disabled and became uselsss until next reboot. It also feels weird and it is kinda loose and imprecise! -KeyBoard acts weird and there is a noticeable input lag that I just can't stand since I am a programmer. -Hibernation/suspend/who knows who causes the impossibility to Wake up my laptop from sleep. When it happens I can only hard shut it down. - I've found some strange stats in the battery report that makes me think that I've received a testing unit with all of these malfunctionnality. My EMEA casw manager does no longee respond to my emails and I am willing to sens back this laptop and receive a refund or a new replacememt ( BUT NO MORE IDEAPAD LAPTOPS). The Yoga 13 has the Intel HD Graphics 4000 so its maximum resolution is 1600 x 900 IPS (wide viewing angle) so on the external monitor it will not display 1900x1200 FHD.

Hi,

I recently purchased a Lenovo Yoga 900 to replace an older Lenovo Thinkpad. I use two laptops with the same peripherals, so I run an external monitor (Dell Ultrasharp 29" monitor), a keyboard, and a mouse into a Display Link Docking Station. I then use a IOGear switch to toggle between the two laptops. The new Lenovo Yoga laptop picks up the keyboard and mouse, but does not identify the external monitor. Below are details on the new laptop.

? 6th Generation Intel Core i7-6500U Processor (2.50GHz 1600MHz 4MB)
? Windows 10 Home 64
? Intel® HD Graphics 520 (graphics card)
My other laptop is an HP ProBook running Windows 7 Professional. All of the peripherals work fine using the docking station and switch (as did the old Lenovo Thinkpad). The only exception is that in my previous configuration, the monitor would periodically not connect with the new laptop when I used the switch, and I would need to restart in order for the monitor to work with the latpop I had selected on the switch. The mouse and keyboard did not have this problem.

Thanks for your suggestions.

Hey folks, I got the Yoga c930 and so far I'm loving it, save one issue--my shift key feels kind of loose (but sticky) and makes a different noise if you accidently hit it the wrong way.  Since it's not a pc-breaking issue, I don't want to have to send it in unless something else goes wrong, but I was wondering if anyone has tried any DIY maintenance on Yoga Keyboards.  I'm worried I might break a clip since even though their are videos for the Yoga 710 on YT, I don't know if they switched up the mechanism for this generation.  It sitll registers the click, so functionally--no issue, but it feels like a defective key that could just completely break out of the blue.

Hi, after purchasing my Lenovo Yoga C930 in November 2018 it worked completely fine until 4 days ago. At some point, I started noticing some slight flickers in the form of very thin lines that would span over the whole screen width. I then updated the Graphics Card drivers which solved the problem for two days, then it came back. Since yesterday, there are now some hug screen flickers (similar to this, but a bit less bad: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=6SIHJYWsFCI ), which are increased if the laptop is on battery mode as opposed to when it is plugged in. I tried to see if there was a difference between the different power modes in battery mode, but it doesn't seem to be the case. All the drivers are up-to-date and I am very dependent on my computer for work, so I would rather not send it in if I can avoid it in any way. Has anyone had this issue with a C930 and managed to get rid of it? System information:Windows 10Intel(R) Core(TM) i7-8550U CPU @1.8GHz 1.00GHz16GB of RAM Thanks in advance for useful feedback!Cheers,Julia

Microsoft Windows 10 pen settings is for the surface pen and the Lenovo Pen settings is for the Lenovo Pen with the top bottom. Nothing for the fancy new pen that is stored in the laptop (not even in the product guide - way to go Lenovo!).  I have been trying to call several times Lenovo technical support and the dial menu is horrible. I haven't been able to reach a technical support representative for the Lenovo Yoga C930. This is the worst service per purchased item prize I have received in my life.  I really hope that someone can help me. I have a Yoga 11s that started having hdmi connection issues about a year ago and has recently quit connecting to an external monitor via HDMI completely. We tried upgrading to Windows 10 to see if that would overwrite any software issues - no luck. The HDMI port actually appears loose. I did an extensive search of the forum and found posts that recommended cutting down the rubber around the base of the hdmi cord - tried that and at least I had a little activitiy - in the upper right hand corner of the external monitor up popped a box that says DVI then VGA then HDMI - but then says No Signal. Tried the graphics card update recommended on a post from long time ago and a popup indicated I had a newer version already installed. I have taken it to a laptop repair place - said they couldn't get parts from Lenovo. I found an "authorized" Lenovo repair shop locally - when I called they said they only work on business machines Called Lenovo and they told me to take it to Best Buy - however since I purchased this directly from Lenovo, Best Buy said they can't work on it. I would rather not send it into Lenovo because they tried to charge my hubby hundreds of dollars when his 15 day brand new laptop quit working, claiming damage - luckily extensive pictures taken and dated prior to sending it in thwarted that attempt at extortion. Does anyone have any suggestions? Hello! When I connect my Yoga 900 laptop to my Samsung external monitor using a USB-C/HDMI adapter, the laptop screen flashes black and the external screen does nothing. Between the flashes I can see my desktop background goes blue and every program/file that is open begins popping up and closing on repeat. Nothing ever shows on the external monitor. The only fix is to unplug the two, but if I let the laptop flash for more than about a minute it eventually goes black. When this happens, unplugging it from the monitor does nothing and it has to be manually restarted using the side button. As noted in other forum solutions, I manually updated all video and chip drivers.I have tested the monitor's HDMI port, the Yoga 900's USB-C port, and the HDMI cable itself. I have also tried a different brand of USB-C adapter. Pressing Windows + P doesn't seem to do much, as I can see the menu between the flashes and click "expand" but nothing happens. Any idea what else I can do? Thank you.

The symptoms:One day when you've opened or closed the lid as you would with normal use, you here a pop and notice that the screen has separated from the lid body in one of the corners near the hinge (the screen glass may or may develop a crack a that point). If you chose to do nothing though, this problem will only get worse and, eventually, the screen glass will crack.  The problem:The root cause of the problem is the use of glue/adhesive applied by the manufacturer to keep hinge assembly attached to lid body. After a while the glue fails to hold the hinge in place and it separates from the lid. When that happens (with a pop), the hinge mounting plate (made of steel) is now moving freely between the screen and the lid so when you try to move the lid, it's pushing against the back of the screen causing screen glass to bend outward. This applies to ALL Lenovo Yoga series notebooks as their hinge design is the same and Lenovo is aware of it... but choses to do nothing. Support:Given that Lenovo designed this hinge and chose the materials and methods to assemble it, you would think that it would take the responsibility for it failing to last passed warranty. Unfortunately, no such luck. When you call support, you get nothing but denial and blame for mishandling their state-of-the-art product and causing it to fail. So you end up with a total disappointment on your hands and a bitter taste of unfairness. Repair:The hinge can be repaire... Read more

Hi all. I purchased Lenovo Yoga 920 Glass Edition from Lenovo Web Store on September 13, 2018. The notebook was delivered to me on September 21, 2018 in Chicago. I bought the highest configuration available for this IdeaPad i.e. 4K display, 16GB RAM, 1TB SSD. During the initial three weeks of usage, I have experienced "blue screen" error crash while working in Windows on several occasions. On October 16, 2018 after yet another blue screen error crash, the system completely failed and I could have never used the notebook again ever since. It seems that there was a complete SSD failure since no SSD was detected by BIOS and Lenovo Windows Recovery Key did not help either. Finally, I run a hardware scan that showed all components passed the test, except the SSD, which was not even scanned since it was not recognized as existing at all. The conclusion is very likely that my 1TB SSD died after only three weeks of usage. Having said the above, I am unable to use my US$2k worth notebook ever since mid-October last year. The trouble is that I live in Montenegro (Europe) and this notebook is under Continental warranty, meaning that it can be repaired only int the US or Canada. I have asked Lenovo to make exception and allow their local authorized repair center in Montenegro do the repair, but that was refused under the excuse that some parts may be unavailable since the notebook was assembled in the US. I doubt that this would be a problem since ... Read more

Hello everyone. I just had to come to the forums and post this text that I wrote to the survey Lenovo sent me after my initial service case: I sent my brand new Yoga C930 to be checked because of light bleed both bottoms corners of the screen. They received the laptop on January 2nd and on January 7th I asked what the situation was, they told me it was being prosessed. On January 14 I again sent a message to customer service asking for an update since I didn't get any updates unless I asked (which is really bad service). They replied that according to the service center there wasn't enough light bleed. They then sent the laptop back. So for a week the laptop was just laying somewhere at the service center and only after I asked about it did they send it back. When I got it back I noticed the service person had scratched the laptops hard metal hinge. So now I had light bleed and  a scratched laptop. He hadn't even used the protective sleeve I had put the laptop in (sleeve came with the laptop). Instead he had forcefully jammed the sleeve in the box and put the laptop in a random plastic bag... At that point the laptop had been gone for a month and now the only way to get a replacement metal hinge is to send it back to Germany AGAIN. I have no idea how long it will take this time, or even if it will be returned in any good condition. I can say I have lost all my trust in the Lenovo service center and I am disappointed that Lenovo does not have any service in... Read more
