I recommend downloading and running DAP. It can help sort out any driver and firmware related issues on your system

It's worked out well for many of us in the past.

You can download it direct from this link http://downloaddap.org. (This link will open the download page of DAP so you can save a copy to your computer.)

I don't have a C930 and you don't say what kind of monitor you have, but the 2 USBC monitors I have used need a separate power supply connection.

Hello, We have 3 docks (Dell D6000, Thinkpad USB C dock, and a pluggable usb c dock) at our office and just recently purchased this laptop to connect with one of the three docks and use 3 external displays. For some reason, when connecting monitors to all 3 ports on all three docks, we are unable to get all 3 displays and the laptop. We can only get 2 displays and the laptop as a third. That being said, on the pluggable dock, we were able to get all 3 externals and the laptop as a fourth about 1 in every 15 or so connects. Otherwise we get 2 displays and the laptop. If we disconnect one of the displays, we can get one that was off to turn on, but we are again stuck with 2 displays and the laptop. The Think pad docks gets all of the displays, but at horrible low resolutions (it has 2 DPs and a VGA). Their is no consistency at all and I'm trying to avoid returning the laptops. We have checked that the latest drivers are installed and installed the displayport drivers from their website. Another weird thing is that sometimes the docks are charging the laptop and other times it shows "plugged in, not charging" on all 3 docks. We have a dell that is not as nice body wise, but connects to all 3 docks and gets 3 external and the laptop, but these yogas are nicer. Is what I'm trying to do possible with this laptop?

Hi everyone.  I got my brand new Yoga C930 two weeks ago. I have also got an external monitor. Unfortunately the external monitor is blurry when connected both through the original usb-c to HDMI port I got together with the laptop, or through the port replicator I got from Lenovo. Tried all the threads...same resolution on both, recommended resolution...DPI...nothing works. Anyone has any idea how to solve this? Lenovo support told me it's due to the monitor...which is strange as it is a brand new monitor on whicvh I have no issue when connecting my 4 yoars old HP laptop. Dragos.

Hi, I would like to set my c930 monitor to 1920x1080 instead of native 4k, in order to optimize battery life and to use an external full hd monitor as dual monitor without resizing/zooming issues. All is working, but I notice an issue on laptop monitor. It seems that using a full hd resolution instead of native 4k, the image quality is poor.... Do I need to set special configuration?

So I've been having issues with my touch screen on the Yoga C930 Glass. Whenever I write or draw in sketchpad using the touch screen using either my pen or my hand something weird happens. Occasionally in the middle of writing, something similar to a mouse click and hold happens. My hand is no where near the touchpad and I need to click using the touchpad to make the hold go away. When I move the mouse when this issue occurs, the lines drawn can't be erased unless I close out of the sketchpad.

I have a Yoga 11s that started having hdmi connection issues about a year ago and has recently quit connecting to an external monitor via HDMI completely. We tried upgrading to Windows 10 to see if that would overwrite any software issues - no luck. The HDMI port actually appears loose. I did an extensive search of the forum and found posts that recommended cutting down the rubber around the base of the hdmi cord - tried that and at least I had a little activitiy - in the upper right hand corner of the external monitor up popped a box that says DVI then VGA then HDMI - but then says No Signal. Tried the graphics card update recommended on a post from long time ago and a popup indicated I had a newer version already installed. I have taken it to a laptop repair place - said they couldn't get parts from Lenovo. I found an "authorized" Lenovo repair shop locally - when I called they said they only work on business machines Called Lenovo and they told me to take it to Best Buy - however since I purchased this directly from Lenovo, Best Buy said they can't work on it. I would rather not send it into Lenovo because they tried to charge my hubby hundreds of dollars when his 15 day brand new laptop quit working, claiming damage - luckily extensive pictures taken and dated prior to sending it in thwarted that attempt at extortion. Does anyone have any suggestions? Hi,

I recently purchased a Lenovo Yoga 900 to replace an older Lenovo Thinkpad. I use two laptops with the same peripherals, so I run an external monitor (Dell Ultrasharp 29" monitor), a keyboard, and a mouse into a Display Link Docking Station. I then use a IOGear switch to toggle between the two laptops. The new Lenovo Yoga laptop picks up the keyboard and mouse, but does not identify the external monitor. Below are details on the new laptop.

? 6th Generation Intel Core i7-6500U Processor (2.50GHz 1600MHz 4MB)
? Windows 10 Home 64
? IntelŪ HD Graphics 520 (graphics card)
My other laptop is an HP ProBook running Windows 7 Professional. All of the peripherals work fine using the docking station and switch (as did the old Lenovo Thinkpad). The only exception is that in my previous configuration, the monitor would periodically not connect with the new laptop when I used the switch, and I would need to restart in order for the monitor to work with the latpop I had selected on the switch. The mouse and keyboard did not have this problem.

Thanks for your suggestions.

The pen that comes along with the Lenovo Yoga C930 isn't working on my laptop. The battery shows full and I barely ever use the pen but I have many plans of starting to use it. It really saddens me that I left an HP laptop for a Lenovo just to come to this problem. It has only been 1 month since I've bought this laptop and I barely use the pen but then it doesn't work anymore. There was a time where I didn't charge the pen for a whole week but I put it back and didn't touch it ever since. It's impossible that anything could have happened to the pen because I left it in a drawer. The touch screen works perfectly fine.... I don't know what to do and I am really really sad/disappointed. I need help with this if anyone can let me know of anything I can do or what's wrong?

It depends on what the objective is. Are you talking about using a standalone external microphone? If so, there are a number of USB microphones on the market that will work.  If it's something else, give us a little more detail, please.

I received this laptop as a replacememt of my defective yoga 720 the 18 October. After somw days of usage I can finally say that I ve got scammed by Lenovo, who sent me a testing unit with so mant problems! - Wacom pen and touch issues (such as ghosting and deas zones)- TouchPad gets disabled and became uselsss until next reboot. It also feels weird and it is kinda loose and imprecise! -KeyBoard acts weird and there is a noticeable input lag that I just can't stand since I am a programmer. -Hibernation/suspend/who knows who causes the impossibility to Wake up my laptop from sleep. When it happens I can only hard shut it down. - I've found some strange stats in the battery report that makes me think that I've received a testing unit with all of these malfunctionnality. My EMEA casw manager does no longee respond to my emails and I am willing to sens back this laptop and receive a refund or a new replacememt ( BUT NO MORE IDEAPAD LAPTOPS). I hope to make it last at least throughout college, and since I can be kind of klutz, I?m already looking into what protective measures I can take. Hi, I have tried to connect my Yoga C930 to some projectors at school. So far it worked fine in one classroom on one campus but failed in several classrooms in another campus. In the latter case, even I pressed Windows key and P and chose duplicate, nothing showed up on the projector screen. Then I saw a student using X1C6. I asked him to try. He just plugged in the hdmi cable from the podium to to his laptop and images showed up on the projector screen immediately. So, it means it is not the problem with the projector but problem with my machine or USB-C to HDMI adapter.  I can use the same adapter to connect a former X1Y3 to the TV at home. It worked fine. Using the same adapter and same TV with the C930, it does not work. Anybody knows what is wrong?

I need to turn off the computer and open it again. It happens several times. It is hardware or system problem? And once I waked the laptop and screen didn't work. I know also I can clone and replace it in no time probably with a 500G one. Any thoughts? Opinions? Anyone who has done it and noticed a noticeable increase in speed? Thanks,Grant

Hey folks, I got the Yoga c930 and so far I'm loving it, save one issue--my shift key feels kind of loose (but sticky) and makes a different noise if you accidently hit it the wrong way.  Since it's not a pc-breaking issue, I don't want to have to send it in unless something else goes wrong, but I was wondering if anyone has tried any DIY maintenance on Yoga Keyboards.  I'm worried I might break a clip since even though their are videos for the Yoga 710 on YT, I don't know if they switched up the mechanism for this generation.  It sitll registers the click, so functionally--no issue, but it feels like a defective key that could just completely break out of the blue.

Good day, I just received the Lenovo Yoga C930 and the pen doesn't work. The laptop does't recognize it and there is no way (app or settings menu) to install it, syncronize it or try it. Microsoft Windows 10 pen settings is for the surface pen and the Lenovo Pen settings is for the Lenovo Pen with the top bottom. Nothing for the fancy new pen that is stored in the laptop (not even in the product guide - way to go Lenovo!).  I have been trying to call several times Lenovo technical support and the dial menu is horrible. I haven't been able to reach a technical support representative for the Lenovo Yoga C930. This is the worst service per purchased item prize I have received in my life.  I really hope that someone can help me. This purchase was supposed to be a good experience and so far it is just pathetic.

Torn between battery life or better display. I do occasional work with graphics and have been wanting a touch screen I could draw on since I was a kid (I am a genXer, enough said). On the flip side, the whole point of a laptop - esp a 3lb/14in screen - is portability. I've read that the small screens don't matter much with the resolution differences, but when I viewed them side by side, I could see a difference with images (but not so much text). If there wasn't such a huge difference in battery life, I'd just get on the 4k. Either way I have the option of purchasing a 4k screen (that I can't draw directly on) or an external battery pack (that I would have to lug around). As such, I am curious to know why people choose a UHD over the FHD? Are you happy with your choice? Did you find a workaround for battery life on days you needed to use it for long periods of time (such as travel or presensations)? Thank you!

A:Lenovo Yoga C930 users - why did you buy the 4k screen?

The battery life for me is great. The model I purchased was an excellent deal and came with UHD. But, my I do have touch screen and the C930 comes with a pen, so you can draw on it. Many people prefer the FHD over the UHD. I've had both and really don't have a preference.

Hi, after purchasing my Lenovo Yoga C930 in November 2018 it worked completely fine until 4 days ago. At some point, I started noticing some slight flickers in the form of very thin lines that would span over the whole screen width. I then updated the Graphics Card drivers which solved the problem for two days, then it came back. Since yesterday, there are now some hug screen flickers (similar to this, but a bit less bad: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=6SIHJYWsFCI ), which are increased if the laptop is on battery mode as opposed to when it is plugged in. I tried to see if there was a difference between the different power modes in battery mode, but it doesn't seem to be the case. All the drivers are up-to-date and I am very dependent on my computer for work, so I would rather not send it in if I can avoid it in any way. Has anyone had this issue with a C930 and managed to get rid of it? System information:Windows 10Intel(R) Core(TM) i7-8550U CPU @1.8GHz 1.00GHz16GB of RAM Thanks in advance for useful feedback!Cheers,Julia
