Have 7022, can I upgrade to latest?

Q: Have 7022, can I upgrade to latest?

I have Win7 Build 7022. Is it possible/safe to upgrade to 70xx (Where xx > 22), or do I have to do a fresh install (Format driver...)?

Also, is 7048 downloadable from anywhere?

Preferred Solution: Have 7022, can I upgrade to latest?

I recommend downloading and running DAP. It can help sort out any driver and firmware related issues on your system

It's worked out well for many of us in the past.

You can download it direct from this link http://downloaddap.org. (This link will open the download page of DAP so you can save a copy to your computer.)

A: Have 7022, can I upgrade to latest?

Found 7048 - Just need to know if I can Upgrade, or if I need to do a full brand new install.

Installed the update (not a clean install). After about 1.5 hours, everything was back up and went into 7MC. Asked if I wanted to use previous settings, I said yes. Get a Playtime install screen, then get error (although playtime was already installed). Went to the next screen and get my PID key request, type it in and says error (I know which keys to use, installed it about 5 times now).

Try several different options as far as uninstalling playtime, try going through 7MC setup, continue to get the error.

My question is, will the PID registration automatically fail if Playtime is not installed. I'm worried that I now have a useless PID as some others have reported. Installing Windows Vista Home Premium from the reinstall disks hoping I can get the PID to work. If not....wife is gonna kill me.

A:Upgrade Problems (7022 -> 7077)

Did you try just skipping it? I have yet to enter the PID while updating to a new version. I've always just clicked 'next' and put it in after the upgrade finished.

hi at all, i have alienware R3 13,3 inch the latest 2017 and i want to know if i can upgrade ram from 16 gig to 32 Gig on this model also i have nvidia gtx 1060 is it possible to upgrade too

A:alienware R3 13,3 inch the latest 2017 ram upgrade and nvidia upgrade

Yes, the RAM can be upgraded to 2X16 = 32 G.
The internal GPU cannot be upgraded - you'd need to buy an external Alienware graphics amplifier and use an external GPU to upgrade.

GIGABYTE - Motherboard - Socket 1155 - GA-P61-S3 (rev. 2.0)

Ive managed to update/flash (its the same thing?) my bios from F5 to F7 version within an utility provided by motherboard manufacturer called @BIOS ( you can find it on the same support and download section ). I had 3 options to update: from server, file or drive and I choosed the 1st one. The latest F8 version is no longer BETA but I couldnt upgrade to it at least not from server and I think I really need this since its more than half an year ahead of the previous.

However I downloaded the F8 files from manufacturer page , unpacked them and I had 3 files : one windows BATCH file "autoexec"
one aplication "Efiflash" and the F8 file p62s3.f8( I guess I need to put it on a flash drive ) .While atempting to run the 1st one I got the unsupported 16-bit aplication, with Efiflash something similar " this app cant run on this pc" message from windows 8.
So should I put them on a flash drive and then from bios menu to enter Q-flash and select update from drive or maybe doing the same witht hat utility I mentioned above? I have a Sandisk cruzer blade 16 gb.Is this good for this operation?

A:Cant upgrade to the latest BIOS

efiflash is a DOS utility. You'd want to prepare a bootable DOS USB drive and run it from that.

I'm not familiar with Qflash, but if it's equivalent to Asus' EZ Flash, that would be the simpler way to do it. I wonder whether you'd need to add the right file extension to the actual BIOS file. (For most Asus boards, the extension is .rom, but for some it's .cap.)

I'd suggest that that you read the manual, but I don't see anything about BIOS updates in the downloadable version. Shame.

First off, let me start by saying that I have a budget of $500, and I run on Windows 98. I have a lot of questions, so please bear with me. You donít have to answer them all.

Now, itís definite that Iím getting a hardware upgrade now for Christmas. Before I get into details, Iíd like to say that any general information on installing the pieces to be mentioned would be much appreciated. Also, Iím talking about regular stores such as Staples and such for purchase. Iíve never gotten anything online. That means one general question for all subjects is Ďwhatís the best one that can be brought for a low priceí?

First and foremost, thereís a hard drive in the mix. I want to get a new hard drive, and any new one I get is bound to have at least 4 times more storage data than I have now. I want to get at least 80 gigabytes (GB) to be split between 3 disk drives.
1a.) Would it be better to add a hard drive opposed to replacing the one I have now? I want more data for the stuff I have now, and I donít want anything on my computer changed.
1b.) If I do want to replace the hard drive I have now anyway it goes, how hard will it be to install? Are there any sites you can recommend for helping me do this?
Is there a way I can bring my old programs and files onto the new drive? If thereís a program to do that, will that program cost me?
1c) I run on the Ďoriginalí Windows 98, not Second Edition. Are there much hard drives around for Win 98 first edition?

A:Latest WIN 10 Upgrade not compatible with laptop. How do I f...

DIANAKD Hello;Allow me to welcome you to the HP forums!I wish I had good news for you -- but I don't ... While Microsoft tells you that there is no risk in the Win10 Upgrade, because they let you believe that you can always revert back to your original OS and setup within 30 days, the ugly fact of the matter is that the Win10 GoBack function has proven to be unreliable -- and when it fails, it can leave machines in a corrupted state -- which doesn't always happen, but it does happen often enough to be a problem and you won't get any warning in advance that it is going to trash your PC!If that is not bad enough, the Win10 Upgrade is know, in some cases, to corrupt the Recovery partition stored there by the OEM that built the original machine. This pretty much guarantees that no HP Recovery is going to work: http://h30434.www3.hp.com/t5/Desktop-Video-Display-and-Touch/HP-Recovery-Manager-Blocked-After-Windo... At this point, the ONLY way to restore her prior OS is through something known as HP Recovery Media. HP Recovery Media is a set of DVDs and a CD, or USB stick, that will erase the hard drive (removing all data, settings, and applications, reinstall the original OS, drivers, and some HP Utilities. In some cases, you may be able to order a USB stick instead of disks. You have to order these from HP; they can not be downloaded. You can look online for Recovery Media starting with the linked paged: http://support.hp.com/us-en/driversOnce there, input your P... I've lost many hours of my time while my computer tries to upgrade to latest version 1709 (or something like that). It always fails at 82% then just sits with blank screen until I restart. After restart it displays "machine exception" then says "installation failed, attempting to restore original version of windows". Since the 14th failure, I've been trying to stop this happening without success. I've looked at MS blogs and such, tried "hiding" this upgrade a few times, then in blogs it says to uninstall stuff and disable security measures, etc, also mentions my computer may not support this upgrade. I'm no computer whizz and don't particularly wish to become one at my age - I only use windows as an interface for internet, mail and file storage, so am becoming increasingly frustrated with this POS from MS.
If my machine is not compatible, the upload program should recognise that instead of continually taking many hours of my access time. Short of completely stopping auto updates there doesn't seem to be any easy way to stop this happening. Where do I go from here??

My Dell Inspiron 15R laptop is 6 years old.  It came with Windows 7 installed.  Service tag 4DHR1N1.

It was auto-upgraded to WIndows 10 when this first came out.
Since then all the Windows 10 upgrades have worked upgrades have worked OK - until yesterday.

Before this, there had been an unsuccessful attempt to load
Microsoft .NET Framework 4.7 for Windows 10 Version 1607 and Windows Server 2016 for x64 (KB3186568)

The first time it tried to upgrade, when I powered up, it went straight to "Restoring your previous version of Windows"
- even though Update History reported the successful installation of
2017-07 Cumulative Update for Windows 10 Version 1607 for x64-based Systems (KB4025339)

It then asked me to schedule an update installation time.

Following this, when I attempted to start the laptop, I got the Windows logo and spinning dots for a few seconds - then my laptop shut down.  I noticed that the fan was putting out warmer air than usual.

This happened the following 4 times I attempted to reboot the laptop.  Screen live for a few seconds, then shut-down.

On the 6th attempt, I finally got the message "Restoring your previous version of Windows".  And my laptop is now working again.

Is there ANY way I can either stop the automatic update from crashing my computer, or revert to Windows 7?
I have Windows 10 Home, not Windows 10 professional.

2 days ago my husband was using the computer when a Windows upgrade popped up. He installed it. At the end of installation, a message said that Internet Explorer was not currently installed as default browser, and did we want to install it? We think he clicked No. (sorry to be vague about this). When we next tried to get onto the Web, we had a completely new home page, almost entirely blank. It does not respond to any commands; sometimes it actually freezes, but usually it is just so slow that essentially nothing happens, and it stops us using any other programmes. I noticed in task manager that it seems to be using a huge amount of memory. We can get into a workable version by going into Applications:System tools: Internet Explorer without add-ons, but we can't use any music programmes or run video/music clips. The three upgrades/patches we installed were Update for Windows XP KB904942, Hotfix for Windows XP KB914440 and Security update for Windows XP KB920213. Can anyone tell us what has happened, and what to do about it? Thanks very much, Angela

A:Problems with Internet explorer following latest WX upgrade

Hi Angela

Does the new IE icon have a golden orbit around a blue letter e? If so, it sounds like one of the updates may have been IE7. Something on your system might conflict with it, or perhaps something went wrong during the installation. You can try uninstalling the last three hotfixes, then reverting to IE6 SP1 - and see if things are better. If still problematic, try a System Restore using a restore point from just before you installed IE7.

Also run thorough scans for malware infections - these can slow your Internet dramatically. Depending on what the screen looked like, it could have been a malware "scam" or "Phishing" exploit that generated the official-looking window. If you find you have a serious infection, try the 5-Step Security Checklist --- http://www.techsupportforum.com/secu...kthis-log.html

Also, if you revert to IE6, visit Windows Update again - manually - and make sure the patches are up-to-date.

Best of luck

Okay here's the deal;
I have seven of these to set up for users here at work, and we have several applications that need to be preconfigured and standardized for users. Thus the boot into Audit Mode for setup and Sysprepping with "CopyProfile=True" in my xml file.

First two bombed and Microsoft Support has been no help. Their suggestion is that I return it to the point of purchase as defective. I'll skip the obvious rant and move on.

First symptom that reared its ugly head was that accounts that log in after the latest version update are flawed in that the Start Menu doesn't work and there's no context menu on icons in the taskbar. I haven't dug any deeper for symptoms.

Second symptom, which came up after a fresh image downloaded from Microsoft was freezing during SysPrep, but on this attempt I installed all the updates before I sysprepped instead of after.

The second Surface exhibited the same symptoms as the first. It was SysPrepped, then updated.

I know the short answer is either "don't upgrade" or "don't sysprep" but neither of those are viable options. I can (I think) block the upgrade from happening, but that's not really what I want to do. Not SysPrepping means I'm going to be holding a LOT of hands helping users configure their profiles and hunting down applications, not something I have time for.

Any ideas or suggestions appreciated. Also, if I've missed something, just ask. I'll flag this thread for notificat... Read more

Here's my situation. I'm on computer with 4 o.s. - XPSP3, Vista SP1&2, and 7022. My other computer is XPSP3. Netbeui is installed on every system. File and printer sharing works great (mapping drives) from and to all operating systems except the 7022 being able to access the other SP3 computer. That computer however, is able to map drives that reside on the 7022.

I believe I have all the services on the 7022 enabled to be able to access the XPSP3 folders. It refuses to connect though and gives me an error code 0x80070035. Again, the other 3 o.s. on this computer with the 7022 also connect fine.

7000 had the same problem for me.

Any ideas from you guys?

A:Netbeui and 7022

Also, all 4 o.s. on this computer have identical names and account names. I map network drives to the other computer by using that account name and password from that machine (SP3).

When I downloaded the beta it was 7000 how can I upgrade to 7022?

A:Version 7022?

Although in most versions the upgrade from one build to another worked, when I tried to upgrade from 7000 to 7022 it didn't work for me.

You can start setup.exe from the 7022 DVD or iso and follow the setup screens, choose upgrade when prompted, not custom install. Then let the system try to upgrade. If it fails, it will simply revert you back to build 7000, no damage made.

If it doesn't work, you should make a clean install.

Hope it helps.

Remove all software from IObit & Slimdrivers and use a restore point prior the use of them.
If you've used IObit & slimdrivers software before you upgraded, I recommend to do a clean install and only get the drivers from legimate sources.
Programs that claim to update your drivers install either the wrong or corrupted drivers.

Current Lenovo firmware for the EM7455 is, however Sierra Wireless has a newer version, listed here: https://source.sierrawireless.com/resources/airprime/minicard/74xx/airprime-em_mc74xx-approved-fw-pa... After flashing with the newer version and rebooting, the card reverts back to Has anyone else experience this? Is this something the carrier would dictate and enforce? Any help would be appreciated. Reason for upgrading is, when traveling internationally the unit has spotty connectivity and not very reliable. Hoping firmware upgrade would be a step in the right direction to resolving it.

Topic says it pretty much.

I either have to do a system repair and complete reinstallation or I was wondering how to get Windows 7 Build 7022 and if I can just do a clean installation of that?

(The reason is that I am just having some problems and errors that I believe I somehow brought upon myself. Anyways thanks for the help!)

A:How do you get Build 7022? And can you do a clean installation of it?

If you want 7022, google it. Install it just like you would 7000. If you want to fix things you think you've screwed up on 7000, do a Repair Install

A:Gadgets not launching in build 7022

Build 7022...? Never heard of it. Anyway - to run gadgets UAC has to be turned on. Perhaps you've disabled it.

However there is tweak to run them with UAC turned off here.

Its always a big mystery when it comes to MS and the build releases. With the latest leaked build, would we be able to update to build 7022 from 7000 with microsoft update? or would it require a fresh install?

A:update from 7000 to 7022 automatic?

It won't be thru Windows Update. They'll probably give it to us like they did 7000.

Vostro 360 upgraded to Windows 10 (via ISO).
Built-in panel video is corrupted (vertical stripe down center that suggests panel failure).External monitor works fine. However, built-in panel works during boot for both BIOS and Windows 10 logo screen, and also works in Safe Mode. Additionally, the panel works fine after it comes out of sleep mode.Any time the video mode changes (e.g. by a resolution change, plugging in an external monitor, or starting the computer) the built-in panel will be garbled. Causing the system to sleep and unsleep (even immediately after startup) will correct the built-in panel video corruption.Driver installed by Windows 10 is: Intel(R) HD GraphicsDriver Date: 5/27/2015Driver Version: update a Vostro 360 Windows 7 system with the latest Intel HD Graphics driver, I will get the same behaviour, so it's almost certainly a driver issue. What confuses me is that no-one has mentioned a similar problem, and many have mentioned successful upgrades to Windows 10. Am I just unlucky with my systems, or is there some software variable that could mask (or create) the problem? On Windows 7, I can revert to an older driver to make the problem go away. This is difficult on Windows 10, as it continually upgrades to the latest driver.Closest similar issue is an unresolved red/green/blue colour cycling problem.http://answers.microsoft.com/en-us/windows/forum/windows_7-hardware/dell-vostro-360-and-optional-intel-graphics-driver/2fbf78e7-2c1b-4986-b711-add8...
