Hi! I have really stupid situation. I have returned my laptop to lenovo dealer three times. 1. replaced Touchpad and WiFi adapter. 2. Motherboard & Wifi antenna. 3. Service dealer said that it is all correct and need reinsatll windows OS. But I have 7 days remaining warranty, thats why they canceled repair. Problem is same: KERNEL POWER 41 critical error. As I know it is motherboard defect. It causes laptop shutting down! I happens ~ in month. What can I do? can my laptop pich up for repair/replace/refund from main Europe dealer?Laptop bought in Germany. Im from Latvia. both are EU countries. Also I have bought extra 2 year warranty which also not activated ( very disappointed with Yoga 900s laptop.

I bought a Lenov Ideapad 510 15IKB on 14th April 2017. Now I'm facing 2 issues with the warranty registration and warranty upgrade: Issue#1On April 16th I registered the base warranty of my product as it should start from the purchase date of my product. After few email conversations for purchase proof, finally on 3rd May, I received email confirming the base warranty registration of my product. It was starting from 14th April 2017 and ending on 13th April 2018. I checked the same on lenovo website. But few days back when I again checked the warranty status, it was restored to factory warranty (15 Oct 2016 - 13 nov 2017). I don't know why this happened and how this happened. When I contacted lenovo, they said that warranty is updated in their database but how can I beleive when I can't see this on warranty lookup section of the Lenovo official website. I have also attached the screen shot of warranty lookup page as of today (22 June 2017). Issue#2I registered for 2 year warranty extension under Back To School offer (Ticket Number - ADP-BTS-025399) on www.buyalenovo.com and made a payment of INR 999/- on 6th May 2017. On 10th May, i received an email confirming the receipt of payment and in the same email, it was mentioned that warranty certificate will be mailed to me within 7 bussiness day, but till the date I've not received any warranty certificate, I've sent so many emails in last one week, but I didn't receive any reply to any email. We have a case whereby the base warranty was expired end of 2017 (S200 MT10HQ) , but we have the invoice of june 2018.Now the service partner says, sorry no warranty as it have been expired, the warranty does not start from the end users date of purchase.Is there an warranty law for this in the EU or with Lenovo? We had similar cases with HP probooks which all was excepted with the date of invoice and not base warranty.

Warranty starts with date of purchase.  You just have to register with Lenovo that you have wrong start date.  I had to do same thing with my niece's laptop.  See below website.  I just had to upload the purchase receipt to get the warranty start date corrected.  Hope the below helps.

Hello, I bought lenovo yoga 500 14 ISK on January 2016. After 1,5 years later i aware that there is some problem on the left bottom side (near the hinge) than one week later i saw that screen and back lid seperated from left bottom side and when i look at in i saw that the screw hole is broken from inside and the screw is not tightening the back lid anymore. And my pc never dropped. It is under 2 year warranty and after i sent my pc to Turkey technical service, they said that your actions are completed and when i see the pc right side is broken. First of all i do not want to take back but they said that you can not take pc back so they force me to take my pc. day  by day crack is going bigger and bigger. When i called technical service they said that me (laughing) i forced the pc lid which is 360 degree. and also they said to me opening the lid from only one side causes this problem.  It is not written anywheere taht "dont open lid from left or right side" . I used 7 -8 years lenovo and also2 years work pc laptop Lenovo in very hard conditions and there is no even 1 problem. But my latest pc is falling apart day by day . Not a laptop anymore because opening lid will make my pc not work soon so lid is always open. I need Lenovo center help because people in Turkey unfortunately doesnt help for money. My dell xps 15 9550 was purchased with a 3yr extended warranty.  After getting an email offering to sell an extended warranty, I checked the dell warranty status.  Sure enough, no extended warranty appears.  Is this a system problem or do I need to do something.

There is a dark spot on the upper right of my yoga 910 4K My uncle sent it to me as a gift last night, and it is brand new. I turned on the laptop and find out there is a dark spotHowever, My uncle didn't open and check it after he bought it at best buy because he believes that he brought a high-end product from Lenovo which shouldn't have any issue based on the quality control. Please tell me if Lenovo can replace the screen for me under warranty.

I was wondering how do people decide to purchase ADP service for Yoga X1 1. Does Lenovo have good APD protection? When I see their terms and condition in agreement.. It is very ambiguous. ex) What this agreement does not cover: B. Damage or Alteration from intentional misuse, modification, unsuitable physical or operating environment, improper maintence..... Some of horror cases I have check from websites and community were: -Depot service center delay fix or replacement (no supervisor action) so customer has to come to community website for help (moderator from Lenovo?) delayed period was 2-3 months  -"Unsuitable physical or operating environment can be basically applied to ANY case?" Some people complained the denial of ADP service due to the accident that happened in this follow situtations:1. Using laptop other than the desk (not suitable operating environment) -  what about convertible table like Yoga x1?2. Something is dropped to the laptop (???) - if the accident is not fall or drop itself (automatic intentional damage)3. Based on web search, I don't really see people who got ADP support and giving review about it. So I asked sales chat support, but sale support's definition of unsuitable physical or operating environment is only fire/flood case. laptop can be used in work/ ourdoor environment. Just by seeing unsuitable physical or operating environment, how can customers become cautious?

Just bought a Yoga 920 after a terrible experience with a Yoga 910 that Lenovo never resolved for me. On day 1 with the 920 I visit the support site to see that the warrannty on my less than 1 day old 920 shows as 223 days. Surely that's not right. I was told it had a 12 month warranty. What needs to be done to have the warranty correctly set to 12 months?

I bought a Yoga 910, top of the range 1tb 4k in best buy Boston, I am now working in Spain and the display port stopped working so I called tech support and they said it was under warranty and they would fix it, now they have it they are saying is does not have world cover and I must pay even though it says on the website it has IdeaPad Limited International Warranty Service but the Spanish repair place refuse to believe it, it's crazy I have emailed 10 times but get nowhere, is this the service given for a few month old $2k laptop???

My yoga 910 doesn't recharge anymore, although I just used it in such a little time.  out of warranty time?  so the under list is my repair journey? 1   first?I send my battery to my friend, they checked it ,it's ok,just  30 circulation time2  after Google?I buy another new power supplier with are the 65w, still never  recharge.3 then I take it to my electrical engineer friend, he checked and told me the mainboard have the problem, the Ec module one of out voltage can't keep with 3Vdc, always change, so Ec can't give out the introduction to recharge, so this is the reason why it can't recharge. then he changed some electrical component, now it works in right condition. by the google search , I find some yoga 910 have the same fault with me. the same thing is all of this happened just out of warranty time in few times. that's so bad,  I just want to say,  as a customer, this notebook is too expensive for me, I just ONLY want to use it works for a long time,  but? Aren't you even angry?    L   !  You disappoint me.     AS A CHINESE CUSTOMER SAID TO A CHINESE BRAND!

Get a TX3 screwdriver. You can easily tighten the screws back yourself. It's normal. They fell out of mine as well. A TX3 screw driver costs less than 5 EUR/USD probably if you go looking for one.

I am thinking about buy a Thinkpad Y370. But the equipment with 512 MB SSD is more expensive like when I will buy a Samsung pro 970 512 SSD. (Not just the Samsung is cheaper, but faster read/write).
May I replace the SSD? ... without void warranty?

My Yoga 720 13" ( S/N MP19RAPY ) has been cycling through repairment centers for the whole year. There were problems related to wifi adapter, digitizer and display problems, hardware malfunctions (the mother board was even changed!). I have never had the clue to extend my warranty because i believed that Lenovo would refund me or would have swapped the laptop with another one (so with a new s/n ). The yoga came back from repairment center yesterday and it seems fine (except for the usual and well known "mouse pointer pixellation bug" and usual "wifi drops") but I can live with this (hoping that I dont find other bugs in the near future).The problem is that my warranty runs out the 11 september 2018. As I remember there was the possibility to extend the warranty by 2 years for a fair price (last time I checked was May) but right now the only option is "post warranty deposit /CC for 1 year" at 51 Euro.What happended? Can somebody get this solved ? One more thing : lenovo gave me a coupon code to use for warranty (with the laptop) but it is not working!

Is a hinge failure and screen damage resulting from the faulty hinge covered under the standard limited warranty? It seems like it counts as "customer induced damage" according to other people's experiences, but I would think that if a failure occurs with normal use of the product, it should be covered.

Having continuing problems with the Yoga 710-11 that is now out of warranty. Techical support advises that I must seek service from a local vendor/service location and the machine can no longer be returned to a Lenovo Depot Repair Center. I have spoken to a local vendor who said he would be able to have it serviced by Lenovo. Is that my only option for repair service at this time? Seems strange that I can not deal with the Lenovo Depot Repair Center as I have in the past with or with the warranty. Not really the type of service I expected from a former IBM Company.

Hello All,  I wonder if anyone had any problems with NBD type warranty repairs? Long story short, one of our Thinkpads decided to fail, it has been raised with Lenovo Thinkpad service team, and diagnosed as faulty system board. As unit was still covered under NBD warranty, engineer request has been processed, and all nessesary parts dispatched so unit can be repaired. Unfortunately, 3 attempts to get engineer in has been done, and he did not showed up even once to repair unit! Now, case has been escallated to Complains team, yet no one even tried to contact me in order to get this issue resolved... Is there direct line to someone in complains department? That whole situation is completly unacceptable and there seems to be no one capable of resolving this issue. Can someone advise? My Yoga 700 14-ISK is currently with the Lenovo Service Shop (aka Medion) in Germany, with "white spot" issues on the screen (a single bright white spot in the lower right). They told me on 8th May that "it was determined that the issue with your computer was caused by actions that are not covered under the terms of your warranty". I have repeatedly asked them to give me a general idea of what these actions were, as I don't know what I've done and clearly there's no point in getting the screen replaced at a cost of 250 GBP if I'm just going to damage it again by my actions... Lenovo have been unable to give any indication as to what these actions were.  Responses to specific requests for feedback the actions causing the damage include:  ?the repair centre has deemed that a repair cannot be completed under the manufacturer's warranty due to display damage (white imprint on panel, as you complained about it in description of fault)??The description of the fault is a general one that closely matches the issues seen previously on other units??I have been advised from repair centre that the issue found in your unit is the white spot on the screen? I thought I was getting somewhere on Friday when I spoke by phone to someone at Medion who told me that there were scratches on the screen according to the engineers. There are very little documentation for a lenovo yoga 900s.I would like to know if I can connect two displays to my lenovo yoga 900s over usb type c. I am looking for a hub that will work on my device and will include at least one USB 2.0, 2x HDMI (one can be VGA) and an ethernet port. Can you recomend any?

I can't answer your question directly  but looking at the base spec, the implication is USB-C but not Thunderbolt, single external display supported.
