Q: Robot txt – top 10 documents not found.

Robot txt

On my web site log is a section that gives the Top 10 documents not found. Amongst these is my home page URL/robots.txt. The figures for this last week show that it failed to access on 62 occasions which was 59%

Looking back on earlier logs the failure rate seems to be about 50% to 60%.

Is this important and what should I do about it?

I recommend downloading and running Reimage. It's a computer repair tool that has been proven to identify and fix many Windows problems with a high level of success.

I've used it in the past to identify and fix everything from blue screens (BSOD's), ActiveX errors, corrupt files and processes, dll/exe/sys errors, recover lost memory, Windows update problems, defragging, malware removal etc.

You can download it direct from this link http://downloadreimage.com/download.php. (This link will automatically start a download of Reimage that you can save to your computer.)

Hi.

It certainly looks like I'm infected. AVG found fun.exe in my computer just after startup yesterday and today. I moved in to virus vault. It was in All Users/Documents, and no folders deeper. I ran an AVG and malwarebytes scan yesterday after moving it to the vault, and apart from a bundle of cookies my system seemed clean. But it is back in the same place again today. All I ran this morning was World of Warcraft before AVG found the virus. I found nothing in my startup files, and I ran a ccleaner clean and registry clean yesterday, as I do regularly.

My main suspects, if I am infected, are World of Warcraft addons, utorrent, or the cable that I use to get internet (sounds paranoid, but I'm in India at the moment and the connection here is different to what I'm used to - just a cable that runs into my house and into the back of my computer).

I've got a hijackthis log and couldn't see anything suspicious, but then I don't really know what to look for - shall I post it?

Thanks very much for your time.

Did you update Malwarebytes Anti-Malware before scanning. If not, please do, then rescan again but this time perform a Full Scan in normal mode and check all items found for removal. Don't forgot to check for database definition updates through the program's interface (preferable method) before scanning and to reboot afterwards. Failure to reboot normally (not into safe mode) will prevent MBAM from removing all the malware. When done, click the Logs tab and copy/paste the contents of the new report in your next reply. Please download the Kaspersky Virus Removal Tool save to your Desktop.Be sure to print out and read the instructions provided in How to use Kaspersky virus removal tool.Double-click the setup file (i.e. setup_7.0.0.290_24.06.2009_12-58.exe) to install the utility. If using Vista, right-click on it and Run As Administrator.
If you receive a UAC prompt asking if you would like to continue running the program, you should press the Continue button..Click Next to continue. It will install by default to your desktop folder. Click Next.Click Ok at the prompt for scanning in Safe Mode if you booted into safe mode.A box will open with a tab that says Automatic scan.Under Automatic scan make sure these are checked.System MemoryStartup ObjectsDisk Boot SectorsMy ComputerAny other drives (except CD-ROM drives)Click on the Scan button. If malware is detected, place a checkmark in the Apply to all box, and click the Delete button (or Disinfect if the button is active).Aft... Hi All,
Everytime i start my pc i get the error, " Windows cannot find C:\Documents and Settings\Administrator\duf.exe " (plz find image attached - e1).

This problem started after a virus attack "HEUR\Crypted" which was healed with my antivirus software AVIRA. (AVG didnt detect it !)

In Avira's quarantine i can see the file duf.exe listed (please find image attached -e2).

What is this duf.exe? is this a virus or a needed file? How can i safely get rid of the error that comes in every startup ?

Please help....

Thanks in advance...

A:C:\Documents and Settings\Administrator\duf.exe not found?

heur means heuristics. it means a set of rules (for detection of viruses in this case). it probably examined the file, found it didn't match any known virus signature, but certain portions of code looked suspicious according to its heuristic rules, so it quarantined it to be safe.
crypted possibly means the file was encrypted (it can be a way to obfuscate code to hide it from detection)

in a good case scenario it could be a false positive. if you know how, you could e-mail the file to AVG or AVIRA for further analysis

if it is a virus, then you'll have to find instances that make it start up in the registry using the registry editor (start, run, then type regedit)
in most cases, it'll be in either
HKEY_CURRENT_USER\Software\Microsoft\Windows\CurrentVersion\Run
or
HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SOFTWARE\Microsoft\Windows\CurrentVersion\Run
The path and filename will be in the data field. All you have to do is right-click the name field and pick delete.

I will say though that the location of the executables is suspicious (user folder: C:\Documents and Settings\username)

Hello,

We bought this Dell Inspirion Laptop about a year ago at a local Fred Meyer. I just noticed when I ran SuperAntiVirus it found some 486 Threats. When I clicked the 'Remove Threats' button I noticed that /Fred Meyer/ was listed in all the threats. However I couldn't quite see the path.

I also now just noticed when I go to File Explorer. I see two different paths to "My Documents".

One path shows: C/Users/fred meyer/Documents
The other path shows: C/This PC/Documents

I checked the files in some of the folders and they are the same and tested trying to delete a Document out of the Fred Meyer path but noticed it was also removed from C/This PC/Documents path as well. Or on the same note, if I add a folder or Document to C/This PC/Documents, it also get added to the fred meyer/Documents folder.

Can this be part of the 486 threats and how can I fix this? Every few days I am getting quite a number of threats detected..

Thanks in advance for any help...

Some sites say they're safe and one says they are high risk (dangerous).Look in task manager and see if there is a NTILiveUpdateV9.dll task running. Try the other two.If found, end the tasks. Delete the files. If I found this, I would download AdwCleaner to the desktop. Right click on it and select Run as administrator.Click the left button and click scan. When it's check all the tabs.I always let it clean everything and it reboots, but if you see something that you think might not be good to delete, Google it. https://toolslib.net/downloads/viewdownload/1-adwcleaner/

I am running Windows XP and have just recently not been able to access the internet. When I log on to a user I get the message that " C:\documents\......\locals\temp\csrss.exe not found " and after clicking ok the same message saying the file could not be run appears. I am guessing this is related to the failure by Internet explorer to load a web page. I have McAfee antivirus that did not seem to pick up a virus and I am running another scan now. I have a csrss application file in the system 32 folder and I have a folder in the windows folder named Prefetch that contains three others that are PF files. Again I can not access the internet on the machine. ( this is being done via Ipad ) I have ran the diagnostic from Internet explorer for connectivity and it can not resolve or connect. My internet connection is great otherwise. Any advice on a fix or answer woukd be greatly appreciated.

Hi,

First time posting.

I ran combofix.exe a few weeks ago before I knew of the help available via these forums. When I ran the program the following files were detected and deleted:

c:\documents and settings\<username>\Application Data\inst.exe
c:\windows\system32\Ijl11.dll

I do nightly scans using AVG Free 8.5 and Spybot Search and Destroy (both up-to-date). Nothing was detected in either scan last night.

I ran combofix.exe again tonight and the following was detected and deleted:

c:\documents and settings\<username>\Application Data\inst.exe

Now that I realized there is a lot of help available on these forums, I'm here looking for some guidance.

I do have a combofix log file that was produced after the second combofix scan and I'd be more than happy to post it here, but I will wait for further instruction first.

My main concern is why inst.exe is showing up a second time.

Thank-you for any help you can provide.

A:inst.exe found in c:\documents and settings\<username>\Application Data\

I also ran a Malwarebytes Anti-Malware Quick Scan after the combofix completed.

No infections were detected.

Robot City is an old '95 game. Nevermind why I'm wasting my time with it..

I can load the game just fine and everything works except for a small glitch in the display. When I move the mouse it leaves a large square trail behind it and distorts the screen turning it black.

The help file mentions this and I am running the game in 640x480 and 256 color just as it says I should.

Any ideas?

Here is the section of the help file that mentions it:

****************************************************************
7. Video Display Problems
****************************************************************
Robot City requires 256-color mode
Robot City is an 8-bit, 256-color application. In order to view
Robot City, you need a video card which supports at least 256
colors in 640x480 resolution. Robot City requires you run in 256
color mode. Other modes will cause colors to appear incorrectly
and may cause streaking or trails on the screen. If you are not
in 256-color mode, a warning dialog will appear when you launch
Robot City telling you to correct the problem, exit and restart
Windows.

I give it the address of a webpage, and it opens up each link on the webpage, and then opens up each link in each opened up page, etc... and so on.... until a pre-specified number of levels deep.

So, in some sense I'm looking for a web-browsing robot.

This way, I can sit back and view all the web-pages without having to injure myself by repeatedly clicking on the links.

Can anyone point me to anything like this? (freeware please).

But when it suppose to be on the menu screen its just black with the cursor showing...I've tried to run it in compatiblity mode but it did not work...

Is this game not compatible with Vista or what? I have Vista Ultimate x64, ATI 3200 HD

Hello, I have a Sony Vaio laptop and recently whenever I use YouTube, Spotify, Netflix, stream or play audio/visual content anywhere the sound freezes and makes a robot noise constantly.

I am a dummy with computers and technical stuff but from what I have read on the web regarding this matter it could have been something to do with drivers, too much stuff on the hard drive, flash and/or java needing updating etc..

I have done all of these things (I think) and it still hasn't done anything! Could someone plleeassee advise me what I need to do to sort this out.

Also, my fan is very hot and sounds like a vacuum cleaner (I have tried cleaning it, I think I need a new fan) but could this be affecting anything?

Thanks all

edit: I use latest internet explorer, and sometimes chrome but it is the same on both of the browsers, and besides it happens with spotify which is downloaded?

A:Audio sounds like a robot on everything, please help!!

It does sound like something having to do with your sound card drivers. I would go into the device manager which is in the system tab of the control panel and completely uninstall the sound card and any other related components; reboot; then let windows hopefully re-detect and reinstall the sound card and its associated drivers. If you need more info on anything just ask.

A robots.txt file is a short text file that resides in your home directory. Before search engines spider your site, they look into this file to see which files/file types and/or directories they are not allowed to see.

More details at http://buzzycode.com/
The following disallows all search engines and robots from crawling select directories and pages:

User-agent: *
Disallow: /cgi-bin/

A:Audio Freezing Sounding Like A Robot

Hi there

The problem is definitely a software one, because you said you tried another sound card and the problem persists.
The problem is most likely coming from your codecs/filters.

If you have codecs installed, uninstall them and try playing again.
Still not working, uninstall all media players. Re install VLC and try again.

Last ting I can think of is that you download and install XP codec pack.
Just Google it, you will find it.

Hope this helps

- Upgraded SSD to Samsung 950 Pro 512GB.  RAM is 32GB Crucial DDR4-2666
- Purchased the WD15 and TB15 docks

- OS is Win10 Enterprise x64 with my company's standard IT bundle.
Problems:
1. TB15 does not work.  USB devices will drop after 5 minutes and DP / HDMI will drop a few minutes later.  Tried all the drivers and BIOS updates.  TBT utility will fail to detect the dock even if connected. Updated TBT FW to NVM16.  It is only good for charging the battery.
2.  WD15 partially works.  USB and DP work >80% of the time, but highly disruptive during the work day.  Decided to use it just for charging as well.
3.  Called Dell TS multiple times on the TBT problems above, and had MB replaced twice.  Problems remain.  I've just given up because their TS people have no clue about they product they are supporting, or just were not given any alternate path / options after replacing the MB twice.  I can attribute problems above to Dell's faulty TBT implementation.

A:force delete karel j robot

Please don't double post (original thread : http://www.techsupportforum.com/f10/...er-183140.html)

If the program had any installation utility then check add/remove programs to see if there's no related entry first.

Try to delete the folder in safe mode : repeatedly press the F8 key when the computer starts and choose safe mode in the menu that will appear.

Else give unlocker a try :

Avast takes a look at the hacks from season one of Mr. Robot and explains what businesses can learn from them.

Season one of last summer?s hit new TV show, Mr. Robot, was filled with interesting and, for the most part, accurately portrayed hacks. The hacks were carried out by the show?s main character Elliot and hacker group fsociety. Their goal throughout the season was to take down the multi-national conglomerate, E Corp.

Although the hacks on the show were rather complex and to a certain extent elaborate, there are a few things SMBs can learn from them.

Read more at the Avast blog! Seems like Avast is also experiencing Mr Robot fever!

Hello,

Here is my basic goal: to have a self-contained robot (computer) that can be added to most any wireless network (tcp/ip) and be found and recognized via the Internet with no additional set up. That's the ideal. To try this I'm using a Linksys router on a small LAN with Windows computers.

I note that Dell can remotely service a computer on a LAN. After giving Dell a code number on the computer, they can call a LAN, locate the computer and work on it remotely. This seems like a very good way of doing things and I'm wondering what they do and how they implement it?

Or, is there a better way? I've been looking at ARP a to find IP to MAC address mapping, but I think this is only useful from within the LAN and not from the Internet.

I gather there are two fundamental ways:
1> Port forwarding, which requires router setup.
2> Calling out to a server on the web, which then sets up a bidirectional connection. This would require an outside server.

Is that exhaustive?

I've been mining for information on this problem, trying to find good solutions.

Thanks for any feedback!

...John

Hi.

I have built a web cam robot that you can control from any pc in the world.

I have equipped it with paintball and laser dome weapons and a red dot aim.

http://media.putfile.com/Tank_paintball_1

Do you think it would be interesting to have a Internet game with real webcamrobots in a paintball/laserdome battle and be able to hunt real people with the robot?

--------------------
Scandinavia and north of Europe get a delay/lag around 0.3-0.5 sec.
The rest of the world get a delay/lag around 1-3 sec because they have a satellite link.
Some few people get lucky and don't get a satellite link from USA or Australia and then get a delay/lag around 0.5-1 sec.
I will try to upgrade the web camera robots, so they will be able to compete against real people on a paintball/laserdome arena/field.

Hello,

as stated in the Title, i am trying to connect a Lego Mindstorms EV3 Brick to my pc that is running a custom linux-based OS (Getting Started with ev3dev). I can connect it via USB just fine, it detects it as a wired connection as its supposed to.
Now, to do what i want to do with my robot, i need to share my internet connection. The connection i share the internet connection from is my universities wireless network. I have tried enabling and disabling FIPS on that network, does not change that i get a bluescreen.

The bluescreen itself appears from a few seconds to about a minute after i activate sharing my internet connection. It says Driver_IRQL_Not_Less_Or_Equal.

i attached the .zip file created by dm log collector.

greetings,
tmork

edit: the earliest i will be able to test any solutions will be coming monday, nov 7th. i hope i can get the problem fixed until then, since the assignment needs me to run my programs on the ev3.

A curious add-on called "Looking Glass" started popping up on Firefox for a number of users this past week -- even if they didn't give the browser permission to install it. Due to its nebulous nature and creepy description that only said "MY REALITY IS JUST DIFFERENT FROM YOURS," people took to social networks to ask other users and air their concerns. Turns out Looking Glass isn't spamware, malware or any of the sort: it's a promotional campaign for Mr. Robot, a TV series about the life of a cybersecurity-engineer-slash-hacker.

Min Operating System: Microsoft Windows 3.1 or later
Min Processor Type: Intel 486 or higher 25 MHz

I got a 633 celeron with 256+mb RAM, onboard video--Intel(R) 82810 Graphics Controller and i have XP pro.

I think that the likely problem is the graphics controller, as in display properties under settings all i can select for color quality is either 16bit or 24bit.

I tried to run it by selecting *run in compatibility with Windows95 *run in 256 colors * run in 640*480 screen resolution. but NO luck. i get two black screens and then it quits right back to desktop. is it even possible to run this game on my comp? if yes, what is the problem?????

I just noticed that there is a new (hidden) file in "my documents" folder called "Default". It is a hidden folder and was not there 4 days ago.

When I check the properties on it it simply says that is is just a Remote Desktop Connection type and it was created August 24th, 2008.

My remote desktop and remote assistance features are not active or loaded.

Is this file normal or not?

Thank you!

I've experienced this problem twice in the past week. Here is my current problem:

New Windows 8 computer
Moved Office 2010 install from old computer to new computer
Copied all documents to new computer by installing the old drive in the new computer (NTFS to NTFS)

When trying to open any DOC, DOCX, XLS, XLSX, PPT, or PPTX files that are stored in the Documents folder I get permission errors. Word will open an RTF file just fine. If I try to use any Office programs to save a file to the Documents folder, I also get permission errors. I can move the file to the Desktop and work with it just fine. I can then move it back to the Documents folder.

Here are the errors when trying to open files:
Word - Word cannot open the document: user does not have access privileges
Excel - 'C:\Users\xxxxxx\Documents\Book1.xlsx' could not be found
Powerpoint - The path or file name for C:\Users\xxxxxx\Documents\Presentation1.pptx is invalid.

When I try to use one of these programs to save to the Documents folder, I get the following error:
You don't have permission to save in this location.

I tried copying the files two different ways to eliminate any lingering NTFS permissions. I used a linux box to copy from the old drive to EXT4, then to a linux formatted FAT drive. I plugged this FAT drive into the Windows machine and moved the files over but got the same errors. Next, I copied the files from the old drive to a FAT32 drive using another Windows box. Then I tool the FA... Read more
