Preferred Solution: [SOLVED] BlueScreen Crash frequently occurs when shutting down my PC

I recommend downloading and running Reimage. It's a computer repair tool that has been proven to identify and fix many Windows problems with a high level of success.

I've used it in the past to identify and fix everything from blue screens (BSOD's), ActiveX errors, corrupt files and processes, dll/exe/sys errors, recover lost memory, Windows update problems, defragging, malware removal etc.

You can download it direct from this link http://downloadreimage.com/download.php. (This link will automatically start a download of Reimage that you can save to your computer.)

A: [SOLVED] BlueScreen Crash frequently occurs when shutting down my PC

I am not brilliant at fixing computers,

However, I've dealt with those that are, and your question is a bit too vague.

If you wouldn't mind re-enjoying the entire process that causes the crash, try to copy down the general name and/or number of the error. This information will help them greatly.

Anyway, I hope your problem is resolved quickly

My computer recently started to crash very frequently(almost always when I'm playing a game on the computer, perhaps this is related to memory usage?). I'm pretty sure it isn't a virus or something like that. I frequently run a program called RegistryBooster, I use AdAware, and Spybot Search and Destroy. This seemed to have started recently after my family switched our internet to Comcast, then Computer2 lost connection to the internet, our family friend came over to fix it, and we re-setup static ip(to port forward and allow certain programs access) and I believe that's about when the crashes started occurring.

It says on the BSOD near the top: IRQL_NOT_LESS_OR_EQUAL
And near the bottom under technical information it says:
***STOP: 0x0000000A (0x00000016, 0x00000002, 0x00000000, 0x804F67E5)

Note, in 0x804F67E5, the 0 after 0x8 might've been an O.

Also, after rebooting my computer after each of these crashes, I get the
"Microsoft Windows
The system has recovered from a serious error." window, and an error report.

In which, the Error Signature says:
BCCode : a BCP1 : 00000016 BCP2 : 00000002 BCP3 : 00000000
BCP4 : 804F67E5 OSVer : 5_1_2600 SP : 0_0 Product : 256_1

Hello, my ASUS laptop N53SN (Win7) 64-bit system is about one year old and it came with the OS pre-installed. It has been experiencing BSOD about once or twice a day, often when I have been away from the computer for an hour or more. Some details about the system:
Intel(R) Core(TM) i7-2670QM CPU @ 2.20GHz, 8GB Ram, Intel HD Graphics 3000. It has been happening on and off for several weeks and I am not sure which new software might have been installed or video driver updates may be causing the problem.

Very consistent behavior here, showing the Avira Antivir Desktop Packet filter driver (avfwim.sys) tripping up on a power IRP (as in changing power state). The driver is dated Oct 5, 2012. I'm not sure if this correlates with your crashing, but still, best to update it or find another antivirus solution for the time being. I've noticed a number of other people experience instability issues with their Avir products lately. Perhaps there's been a bug going around.

If not forgive me.

Ok here's my problem:
This just happened all of the sudden. For the past week, I have been experiencing internet outages.
When I experience an internet outage, it happens for like 10 seconds to 7 minutes. It's everything, wired, and wireless. This may happen like 10 times an hour or even more.
I called my ISP several times and they refreshed my internet, said my connection is healthy, and even gave me a free router. Still the same problem.

Temporary odd solution...
I found an odd temporary solution which really confuses me, which might give you guys an idea what's going on?
My solution is for some reason, I just go on my phone, open safari, and go to any website and keep refreshing the page. So for example, I go on my Iphone, go on google.com, and then refresh the page when I experience an outage. I know this definitely works because I just watched a whole season of Vikings, and everytime when the video buffers, hit the refresh button page or use the wi-fi on my phone and it works.

And yes, my phone is using my routers wi-fi.

However, when my dad was using his phone with the wi-fi. He was listening to Pandora and it just suddenly stopped. So I'm assuming that's because of the bad internet.
(P.S. I just used this technique to make this post)

Hello,

I started to get these blue screens a couple days ago and they are becoming more and more frequent. I do not what to do to fix it. I have a Toshiba Satellite A665-S5185 Windows 7 64-Bit Intel(R) Core(TM) i7-2630QM [email protected] 8GB RAM. I get a WORKER_THREAD_RETURNED_AT_BAD_IRQL everytime. A:[SOLVED] Bluescreen when shutting down..(atikmpag.sys)

Hi tkdghk0831, BSOD's can be caused by missing and/or corrupt drivers, registry errors, hardware/software changes, bad RAM, and pending updates. And from what I've read it might be an update that is needed. Start with the basics, make sure there are no pending updates if so, download them and install them. Check to see if problem persists afterwards. You may want to download this handy tool;

Blue screen of death (STOP error) information in dump files.

It will help you better understand the origin of the BSOD.

Hello. I have recently began having a lot of issues with my laptop that I honestly have no clue how to solve. Primarily, I have two big issues.

One of which is that my laptop has recently (began about a week ago) my laptop has been unable to successfully go to sleep or shut down correctly. It gets hung up on the windows blue screen that states shutting down with a revolving circle for usually a minute or two before it crashes. On the BSOD I receive the error "Driver_Power_State_Failure". The same also occurs when putting it to sleep. My laptop then reboots normally and then upon login I am faced with a "windows has recovered from an unexpected shutdown". I have .dmp files from these crashes (see attached), but am unsure how to view them because it says access is denied. Upon clicking "checking for solution" a loading bar shows, but then nothing ends up happening. Here is the info I receive upon reboot:

A:[SOLVED] BlueScreen Error Upon Sleeping or Shutting Down Laptop

Hello and welcome to TSF!

All of the attached dumps are of the 9F: DRIVER_POWER_STATE_FAILURE bugcheck, which essentially means there's a driver in an inconsistent power state (happens sometimes during sleep, shutdown, etc).

dtsoftbus01.sys is listed in your loaded drivers list, this is the Daemon Tools driver and should be uninstalled. Optional visualization programs are: Power ISO, Magic ISO, Img Burn, etc.

We're going to likely need to enable Driver Verifier to catch said 3rd party driver -

Driver Verifier:

Quote:

What is Driver Verifier?

Driver Verifier is included in Windows 7, Windows Server 2008 R2, Windows Vista, Windows Server 2008, Windows 2000, Windows XP, and Windows Server 2003 to promote stability and reliability; you can use this tool to troubleshoot driver issues. Windows kernel-mode components can cause system corruption or system failures as a result of an improperly written driver, such as an earlier version of a Windows Driver Model (WDM) driver.

Essentially, if there's a 3rd party driver believed to be at issue, enabling Driver Verifier will help flush out the rogue driver by flagging it and causing your system to BSOD.

Before enabling Driver Verifier, it is recommended to create a System Restore Point:

Vista - START | type rstrui - create a restore point

Windows 7 - START | type create | select "Create a Restore Point"

How to enable Driver Verifier:

Start > type "veri... Read more

So I bought my new computer around March of 2012. Everything was working fine, up until about three months ago, when the computer started to blue screen. The strange thing was, it has only ever blue screened while running League of Legends. About half of the time, as soon as I get into my game (after the loading screen) I'll bluescreen. This makes it extremely hard to actually play the game without hampering my team in anyway.
So I've tried wiping the computer, no luck, except for the first week. I've tried to reinstall/repair the game, no luck. So does anyone have any idea why this is happening? I put together all of the information you might need, I'll paste it here. If you need anymore information, please tell me.

Hey!

I have lately experienced a huge amount of problems on my computer. I'll start from the top.
At first I experienced that my computer suddenly froze for a couple of minutes, then all my programs closed and I got an error message telling me "Out of memory" or something similar to that. I have to restart my computer when this happens. (Happens every 4-5 hours or so, and still do).

After living with this for a few days, I had enough, and started searching for solutions. At this point I scanned my computer for viruses, which I did not have, I cleaned up my computer with CCleaner, I uninstalled all suspicous programs, and searched for malware, and got rid of two.

This did not help and my computer kept freezing, and a couple of days ago, when I was about to restart after this, I got a bluescreen. After entering safemode, I did a systemrestore, and I have not had any more bluescreens.

Yesterday I got yet another freeze, and my computer crashes. After turning my computer on again, my sound icon had a red cross on it. It said "The sound service is not running" (this is roughly translated from Norwegian). After restarting my computer the red cross was gone, and everything seemed to be in order, except the sound, which was still missing.

Today, I started my computer and the sound problem was gone, without me doing anything to fix it.

All of this started after I decided to uninstall and delete alot of programs and files to clean up some harddrive ... Read more

A:[SOLVED] HP Pavilion Elite HPE-127c BlueScreen Crash

Hi Bobby -

Sorry to hear of new system w/ BSODs.

The bugcheck from the info posted -

0x7f (0x8,,,) = unexpected kernel mode trap. An exception occurred while the error handler was taking care of a prior exception; the CPU signaled "double fault" and the system crashes.

More info is needed --> http://www.techsupportforum.com/f217...ns-452654.html

Attach the resulting zips to your next post.

I've got a 2 month old T480 that intermittently, but frequently, refuses to shut down. It just spins at the Windows 10 shut down screen. After updating all available Windows and Lenovo updates it still occurs. Recently the battery occasionally stops charging. Removing and replacing the battery seems to resolve until the next time. This has only happened twice in the last week or so but I'm not sure if this is a related symptom or something else entirely.  I've got an X1 Yoga that has also had similar issues shutting down but very rarely. So I'm not sure if this is a Lenovo/Windows 10 thing or if something else is wrong. Any ideas or things to check?

Sounds like it's overheating. Open up the case and blow out some of that dust. Make all the fans are operating too.

Hey guys,

So i've had this build for a few months now. It is my first build. Here are the specs:
Intel Core i5-4690K
Zotac GTX 970
8GB Ram
Asus Z-97-A mobo
Windows 8.1

When i'm playing big games such as BF4 or GTA V, it likes to crash midway through the game constantly. I can play BF4 for a while before it crashes back to the desktop and i cannot play GTA for more than 10 minutes before it does the same. Sometimes these games even causes a BSODr. As well as, Crysis 3 just completely crashes and freezes my computer after a very short time of playing,

Also sometimes when i'm rendering a video in Sony Vegas Pro 13, i get a BSOD too.

I think it may be to do with my graphics card but i just can't quite put my finger on it. My GPU drivers are all updated.

Any ideas?

Edit, here is the DM file thing. ATIF-21_12_2015_160428_80.zip

Alright. I got some major computer issues.

Last night I shut my computer down as per normal. I had been working in illustrator and went to way hsome tv.

Come today I decided to turn it on. I pressed the power button and not much happened.

The fan for the gpu kicked like usual the case lights turned on like usual, but there was no response on screen. It acted as if it were in standby. There was no power going to USB devices (keyboard, mouse)

This kept going on for ages. Occasionaly it would go to the motherboard manufacturer splash screen and sit there.

I decided to pull some things apart. Thinking it was the hdd, tried a new one, no fix, tested each stick of ram individually, no fix. I pulled the heatsink and fan from the CPU and put it back on, still no fix.

Once I put it all back together it started to boot up like normal, but suddenly power down. Sometimes it boots up for 2 seconds then shuts down, then another time I got to the advance booting options and the it died.

I really hope it's nothing serious, as my partner and I have bought our first house so things are tight.

I thought it may be the power supply but I am not sure

My pc specs are:
Vista ultimate x64
4gb ram
500gb hdd
Quad core CPU intel 6600

any suggestions would be kindly appreciated

I will try to reply asap but only have access to the net via my iPhone.

Thanks in advance.

I'm using Windows XP.
Recently, I've come across a rogue or something of that sort called Antivirus 2009 that first put itself onto my computer through a download o mine, but this time it came off of a pop up, I think.
I've managed to remove it and most of the things it did to the computer, but there's just this one single problem that will not go away no matter what I try. The name of the file is avast!Antivirus.exe and its located in my C:\Windows\system32, if I try to delete it, it will come back on reboot. I have no idea what files its associated it with or how it keeps cloning itself, but it appears in my task manager. I've never installed / had avast. Most of the things I've tried or heard do not work, I'm afraid if I have this thing keep coming back I'm in a load of trouble.
Also, it's weird how this antivirus 2009 thing only comes from popups from every now and then..
I'm afraid these guys have a hold of my IP and through maybe a hidden file on my computer or something they can keep bringing this garbage back.

Hi,
Does Windows Explorer crash when you launch a particular program?
Do you remember any recent changes made on your computer after the issue occurs?

This error may be related to Data Execution Prevention. The StackHash error occurs when DEP is invoked and has an issue with whatever application you?re trying to run. After finding which
application is causing the problem, you may follow the below steps:
1. Click Start, click Run, type sysdm.cpl, and then click OK.
2. On the Advanced tab, under Performance, click Settings.
3. On the Data Execution Prevention tab, use one of the following procedures:

4. Click Turn on DEP for all programs and services except those I select, and then click Add to add the programs that you do not want to
use the DEP feature.
5. Click OK two times.

How to find and post your Minidump Files:

My Computer > C Drive > Windows Folder > Minidump Folder > Minidump Files.

It is these files that we need (not the folder). Attach to your next post the five most recent dumps. Notice the Manage Attachments button at the bottom when you go to post the next time. You can Zip up to five files per Zip; if you only have one or two you don?t need to zip them, just attach as is. Please do us a favor and don?t Zip each one individually.

Hi folks,

I'm new here but came across a problem I couldn't troubleshoot myself. I'm running Windows XP SP3 on my desktop and yesterday the hardwired internet spontaneously stops responding. I figured my ISP just had a hiccup or what have you and watched the Olympics for an hour, came back and the internet was working but crashed again after 10-15 minutes.

"Weird," I think, and decide a restart was in order. I tell my desktop to restart while I go upstairs to check if my laptop is connected to the WiFi. It is, and works perfectly for the hour or so I had left before work. When I get home 8 hours later, I notice that my desktop is STILL on the "Windows is Shutting Down..." screen. I had to hard-shutdown my desktop.

STEPS I'VE TAKEN SO FAR
Power cycled router, cable modem, and desktop
ipconfig /release + /renew my LAN connection
Power cycle the LAN connection via the Network Connections control panelThis fixed the problem with the internet for the longest time so far, and I browsed unabated for nearly an hour

System Restored to roughly two weeks ago, before I did my last software installation (Uplay, which I heard recently had some security issues)
STEPS I'M DESPERATELY TRYING TO AVOID

So I have been trying to rid my computer of this nasty bug for the last month or so. This little bug of mine blocks me from being able to update my Windows Vista. I have ran my AVG virus scan but it is unable to remove the trojan off my computer for some reason, hence why I am here. I have noticed that other people have had similar problems with this type of trojan horse but i am not sure where exactly i need to begin to get rid of this problem. I have now downloaded and ran the recomended scans listed in the "Read this before posting" thread so I will attach the logs that came with those scans. Any help would be greatly appreciated.

I am running windows vista on a dell xps m1530. I can log into safe mode with networking, but cannot log in normally because of the bluescreen error. I've tried system restore, but nothing changes it. I did some malware scans and found several trojans, which were removed. I read the directions on the forum about how the use the debugger to get information from the dump file, but I cannot install the debugger while in safe mode.I do have a message when I logged into safe mode that says... Windows has recovered from an unexpected error.Windows can check online for a solution to the problem.Additional information about the problem: BCCode: 1000008e BCP1: C0000005 BCP2: 8FC3A4AE BCP3: 9C68A048 BCP4: 00000000 OS Version: 6_0_6001 Service Pack: 1_0 Product: 768_1Files that help describe the problem: C:\Windows\Minidump\Mini022209-05.dmp C:\Users\Drew\AppData\Local\Temp\WER-75364-0.sysdata.xml C:\Users\Drew\AppData\Local\Temp\WERBDF1.tmp.version.txtRead our privacy statement: http://go.microsoft.com/fwlink/?linkid=501...mp;clcid=0x0409Is there a way I can pause the blue screen to write down the codes? A:Bluescreen crash (help!)

Wow very similar to my own problem. At least I think I know the route of my issue - it connected to a HP wireless print server I have started using.

RE blue screen the significant info I see is 2/3'rds to 3/4's down the page after the blurb about restarting in safe mode etc (bear in mind I'm no expert)

Mine says hpnuhub.sys -but I will post on my own thread so I don't hijack this one.
Oh check out the vista crashing thread as it gives some info on the blue screen

I have a Video to USB Video Capture device.

http://www.adstechnologies.com/index.php?main_page=page&id=13&zenid=9dce32f10695801f8c1fc9b20e6254ca

View of device via "Categories" - "Video Capture (3)" - USBAV-709 or:

http://www.adstechnologies.com/index.php?main_page=product_info&cPath=1&products_id=2

When I plug the device into a USB port, it is recognized by device name and a few seconds later, the bluescreen appears.

Upon reboot, the usual messages are displayed. Here are attachments to show the info gathered.

The device does not appear in "Device Manager".

I do not have the CD or instruction manual that should have come with the device.

Ads Tech seems to be bewildered by this problem (Answers similar to those received from Roxio!).

Any help or suggestions would be appreciated

Thank You.

My operating system is Windows 7 64 bit. I try to restore the system to an earlier point but it failed.

I will be grateful for any help! Thanks in advance.

A:Bluescreen crash

Your BC code 7F is caused by

STOP 0x0000007F: UNEXPECTED_KERNEL_MODE_TRAP (Usual causes: Memory corruption, Hardware (memory in particular), Installing a faulty or mismatched hardware (especially memory) or a failure after installing it, 3rd party firewall, Device drivers, SCSI/network/BIOS updates needed, Improperly seated cards, Incompatible storage devices, Overclocking, Virus scanner, Backup tool, Bad motherboard, Missing Service Pack

Further on in your mini dmp report it shows that the most likely cause is Netio Systems, (Zone Alarm). Although you have said that it was shut down, it clearly appears in the report. Netio.sys (part of Zone Alarm) must be uninstalled.

If uninstalling Zone Alarm does not stop the BSOD, post and we will arrange for a memory test, driver test. If you are overclocking please restore normal settings. Make sure that you have all current updates.

If you are using any virtulization tools like Daemon or Alchohol 120% they should be uninstalled, if after removing Zone Alarm your problem continues. The specific driver that must be removed (from Daemon) is SPTD and this tool should be used.

Hi,

Can someone please help me analyze the attached Mini Dump Files?
My computer is often pops up these blue screens and restarts quickly.

A:Bluescreen and crash.

These crashes are all over the place and I'm quite confident that your machine is suffering from underlying hardware issues.

As a suggestion, make sure that nothing is over-clocked or under-cooled, update your BIOS, and run some memory diagnostics.

There is no point going into in-depth software troubleshooting while the hardware is questionable.
