I recommend downloading and running Reimage. It's a computer repair tool that has been proven to identify and fix many Windows problems with a high level of success.

I've used it in the past to identify and fix everything from blue screens (BSOD's), ActiveX errors, corrupt files and processes, dll/exe/sys errors, recover lost memory, Windows update problems, defragging, malware removal etc.

You can download it direct from this link http://downloadreimage.com/download.php. (This link will automatically start a download of Reimage that you can save to your computer.)

Hi, Has anyone out there in the UK ordered an X1 Yoga with OLED and received it yet?  I ordered mine and it missed the 11 day shipping window.  When I phoned they said it has been moved back to the 8th Aug.  6 weeks after from my order going in.  I received no notification at all about the delay, which is quite poor customer service in my opinion. After some checking it seems the delay is the 1TB SSD, I have asked if I can modify the order to make it a 512GB model which ships in 9 days currently and have that order expideted, but lets see if they come back to me this time. Anyone else had this issue?

A:X1 Yoga OLED

Same problem for me (in France) order placed July 1, information received by email today.I also request to change the command to a SSD 512GB.

Should I get the 1st gen while I still can? It appears that for some reason (e.g. cost reduction?) the 2nd gen has a worse screen with only 85% aRGB (while the 1st gen has 98% aRGB). The 2nd gen also appears to be slightly hotter and heavier. I don't care about the performance improvement by Kaby Lake over Skylake. I care about roboustness, durability and reliability.

When watching videos at full screen, or just in a browser, the screen will turn to half brightness after minutes of inactivity. I have my display set to only do this after an hour in "Power and Sleep" options. In advanced settings I have the auto brightness off, and the "dimmed brightness display" set to 100%. Am I missing something here? Is this something unique to the OLED display? I've never had this problem before in a laptop

A:Can i use DELL 90W for yoga x1 OLED ؟

With a USB-c power supply, the negotiations between a power supply and a device are more complicated than they are between a dumb power supply and a laptop.  90w, 20V should be possible.  I think 100W is the maximum defined limit, but you would have to test it to be sure.  There are compatibility issues with different brands.  What are you trying to solve?  Faster battery charge?  I am not certain it will charge faster.  Again, you wound need to test it.

It will be an easy upgrade if the slot and antenna already in place. Lenovo, please verify, if I can upgrade the OLED model with WAN module or not. Thanks!

Is that normal for OLED display or a flaw in my panel?

Why is WWAN NOT available with OLED in US store (https://www3.lenovo.com/us/en/laptops/thinkpad/thinkpad-x/Thinkpad-X1-Yoga-2nd-Generation/p/20JDCTO1...?)  WWAN is not available with 14.0 WQHD (2560 x 1440) OLED Touch display. While WWAN is mandatory for OLEDs in UK store (https://www3.lenovo.com/gb/en/laptops/thinkpad/x-series/Thinkpad-X1-Yoga-2nd-Generation/p/20JDCTO1WW...?)  14.0 WQHD (2560 x 1440) OLED Touch This display is only available with WWAN enabled I do want WWAN and OLED, but UK store seems to be much more expensive, and also I'm getting "Invalid configuration!" when trying to select OLED.  And 16GB option is only available for select configurations.

I have installed all updates and looked at the drivers in device manager and these machines appear to have the wrong monitor driver. Their driver is the Wide viewing angle & High density FlexView Display 1920x1080. Hi, I've had my X1 Yoga for about two months now, running Windows 10 Enterprise Insider Preview 1607 (build 14915.1000).Prior to joining the Windows 10 Insider Preview program (it took about a week for it to update to the insider preview builds from the official builds), I had severe issues with the brightness control of my OLED screen. I could not turn the brightness up to the higher settings (90-100%), because the screen would become entirely black. Also, somewhere in the range of 75%-95% brightness, the screen would be completely blue, as if no other colors were displayed in the OLED panel. This was of course unusable. Coupled with the automatic display brightness adjustments it gave a really crappy experience, as the brightness could suddenly automatically be turned up really high (into the unusable blue-then-black range), unless the display was set to a really low brightness setting. On several occasions I thought the computer had locked up/died on me after disconnecting it from my OneLink+ dock, only to later realize that I could just lower the brightness to force the display back into actually showing something.  Sometime after getting the first Insider Preview builds, which was also accompanied by some Lenovo updates (unfortunately probably masking what is the real cause of this issue), I noticed I couldn't actually change the display brightness at all anymore. It's stuck! This issue persists, and I have been unable to change the disp... Read more

Hi there. I am running an x1 yoga (spec below)    stats I really like the machine, and everything is working very well - except for playing video files. Even when playing HD video, the screen-colour configuration seems to be doing strange things with black/grey areas, making everything look heavily pixelated and almost unrecognisable. It is fine with lighter colours:  but really problematic with darker scenes:  where there seems to be some kind of grey overlay of pixels. I presume this has something to do with the OLED screen? Please could someone advise? Is there a way to fix this issue by changing settings? Thanks for your help!

Hello everyone, Just ordered an X1 Yoga with the OLED display and didn't see an option for WWAN or NFC cards on configuration although I see WWAN as an option on the model without OLED.  Is there a reason for this?  Can I add the antenna kit and card later?  Same question for NFC although I didn't see NFC as an option on either model. Thanks.

A:X1 Yoga OLED WWAN/NFC Questions

For unknown reasons, Lenovo appear to have stopped selling NFC on all X1 Yogas. The parts are still available from Lenovo Parts. The NFC antenna and NFC card are relatively cheap. The cable required to connect the NFC card to the motherboard is only available as part of a kit that is rather expensive - so if that cable is missing, it will not be a cheap upgrade. Previous posts on the forum suggest that Lenovo do not support WWAN or WiGig on the OLED version of the X1 Yoga. It is unclear whether this is a physical limitation (no room for the antennas) or a regulatory issue (unwillingness to qualify the OLED version for WWAN and WiGig). I would proceed on the basis that there is no way to add WWAN or WiGig to an OLED X1 Yoga.

I currently am running a W520 with i7-2820QM @2.3GHz and 32 gb RAM with an NVIDIA Quadro 2000M It is overkill for what I use it for which is browers (typically 10-20 chrome tabs) with light Adobe PS and Illustrator work, some AutoCAD.  I no longer do video or graphics rendering.  It still runs great and fast still, but too heavy to bring with me everywhere I go.    Also the display is horrible. I'm looking for something with a touchscreen capability and mobile.  I am considering the OLED X1 Yoga just because of the screen and mobility. However my biggest concern is this.  Will the speed actually be slower when compared to my W520?  I would get the i7-6600u with 16gb RAM.   I need this purchase to stay with me for the next 4 years just as my W520 did and would like some reassurance that it will be somewhat of a speed upgrade??  Am I wrong?  Please advise.  Thanks!

A:Worth it to upgrade to Yoga X1 Oled?

I'm using my Yoga X1 fort PS and LR.Even though LR has problems with the GPU (as it does with many GPUs), the Yoga zips through anything I've thrown at it.  The reason I bought it is because I use it heavily when I travel for these two programs (particularly LR), and every ounce of weight is important to me.  I did NOT get the OLED, as the super-hires monitors create problems with fontsize, and the FHD is sharp enough for my purposes.  Other than that, it is with all the  top-level specs.  Also, I paid extra to get Windows 7, as I have had Win 10 on several other machines, and the periodic updates caused so many problems that I was spending more time getting my computers to work than I was working with them.  It's funny that under your name is the tag "What's DOS?", as I had to use DOS on one of these computers to change foldernames as Win 10 refused to let me change the name of any folders, existing or new!

Hello friends, I am in the process of using the lenovo sales site to configure a new Thinkpad X1 Yoga to purchase. There is one thing that concerns me. When I go to select the OLED display option, the following warning shows: 14.0 WQHD (2560 x 1440) OLED TouchWWAN is not available with 14.0 WQHD (2560 x 1440) OLED Touch display. I tried to do some research on this, but I need some confirmation from people who have experience with this. It is my understanding that this 2 in 1 can actually use a sim chip and connect directly to 4G LTE networks. Is this correct? That is truly a great feature. However, can someone confirm that I lose this feature if I purchase an OLED display with this order? I am thinking this might get lost because of the warning "WWAN is not available with 14.0 WQHD (2560 x 1440) OLED Touch display." Can anyone confirm or clarify all of this? I would love to get an OLED display. However i know I will lose some battery life. I think that could be an acceptable tradeoff. However, if I also have to lose 4G LTE connectivity with the OLED that might push me over to an IPS display. Thanks everyone!

I just bought a Lenovo X1 Yoga with OLED display. It is supposed to have very accurate colors (98% AdobeRGB, Delta-E at 0.55 or better with calibration), but when I tried calibrating it with my X-Rite i1Display Pro, I kept getting strange banding artifacts in the results (and yes, I did choose OLED display type before starting measurement in i1Profiler). Due to the strange banding artifacts, I had to go back to using the color profiles provided by Lenovo (they come in Native, Standard, Pro Photo, Movie Pro, Blue Light Cut for Office, Blue Light Cut for Reading). I use Pro Photo, which is AdobeRGB.  I've tried several times now, and I always get the weird banding artifacts. So does this mean X1 Yoga's OLED display cannot be calibrated with i1Display Pro?  When I compare X1 Yoga's colors with my Dell Ultrasharp U3011 (which is calibrated with i1Display Pro, and has 117% AdobeRGB color gamut, and 1.12 Delta-E after calibration), my U3011 is a bit cooler (a bit more blue, less yellow), while the X1 Yoga is warmer (less blue, more yellow).  So which is the more accurate one I can trust? Can the X1 Yoga OLED screen be calibrated without the banding artifacts? Has anyone tried calibrating the OLED display?

Is anyone here knowledgable about the expected lifespan of the OLED display on an X1 Yoga? I've been reading a lot online about how OLED will burn in and/or fade after 4,000 hours to 40,000 hours which translates into 166 days to 4.62 years of "being on." Does anyone know if there's any merit to these OLED claims?  Or more importantly-- what to expect from an X1 Yoga OLED? Also, is OLED glossy?  All this might be moot if it is. . . . IPS is matte, correct?  I'd be primarily using the Yoga for productivity apps (email, typing, etc) & not really anything re entertainment (movies, games, etc).  Does OLED cause more eyestrain for folks looking at a computer screen for long periods of time? Sources:https://forums.oneplus.net/threads/ips-vs-oled-display-difference.152676/page-2 (4,000 hours)http://techtalkradio.com.au/OLED-tv.php (14,000 hours)http://www.avsforum.com/forum/40-oled-technology-flat-panels-general/2209130-expected-lifespan-oled-... A:Question on Gen 2 Thinkpad X1 Yoga and OLED option

You need the WWAN card and the antennas to get 4G LTE connectivity.  My X1 Yoga does not have the OLED display and I have no access to engineering info, but my guess is that something related to the OLED display caused interference that affected FCC certification, or that something related to the OLED panel got in the way of the WWAN antenna wires inside the lid.  I really like my IPS display, but I primarily use it indoors.  For outdoor use, I think I would find that there was too much glare.
