Lenovo yoga 710-14 wont start

Q: Lenovo yoga 710-14 wont start

The laptop was working fine, until I tried to start it up one time( the battery was not dead). There is no LED light indicator on at all and the laptop does not seem to be charging. I have also tried the reset pin button. Is there a specific issue for this and can anything be done?

I recommend downloading and running Reimage. It's a computer repair tool that has been proven to identify and fix many Windows problems with a high level of success.

I've used it in the past to identify and fix everything from blue screens (BSOD's), ActiveX errors, corrupt files and processes, dll/exe/sys errors, recover lost memory, Windows update problems, defragging, malware removal etc.

You can download it direct from this link http://downloadreimage.com/download.php. (This link will automatically start a download of Reimage that you can save to your computer.)

I bought the Lenovo yoga 900 in December as i was about start medical school, now after only about 6 months of use, while i was using it one evening, i decided to take a break from school work, when I got back to my computer it had powered down and tried to reboot but didn't make it pass the Lenovo screen, i tired exhausting the battery power and trying it again but to no avail. so my question is has anyone had this kind of problem before and if so what is the solution? Also is this a common problem and how long is the company warranty for my 6 month old computer, in case i need to give it back to get something more reliable, its kind of disheartening as i had believed this was the best decision i made for medical school, but now am left with the possibility of failing the semester due to faullty equipment. SOOO PLEASE SOMEBODY HELP ME SAVE MY SEMESTER. Thnak youjay

A:Lenovo Yoga 910 wont load pass the Lenovo screen.

Try getting into BIOS first and loading default settings. To do this, press the small "Novo" button (you'll need a paperclip for this), and select "BIOS setup". From there, use the arrow keys to get to the "exit" tab and select load default settings.

If this doesn't work, let me know.

I have some problems with the Lenovo software. Lenovo Account Portal does not launch Lenovo Companion and Lenovo Settings. Also, Lenovo Solution Center is missing from the Start Menu. The second problem is that some tiles are blank in Start Menu. Seemingly it's the apps that aren't Metro. I'm not sure when the problem started, but I think it was like that since I got the PC. If I right click the apps, the only option will be "Pin to Start", and with some apps: Share and Rate. Here's a picture of the problem:I did already try:Restarting the PC.Doing scannow, DISM, and scannow again.Fixing Registry errors with CCleaner.Updating BIOS and drivers. What can I do to fix the problem?

A:Lenovo Yoga 720 wont charge

You sure it's not "plugged in, not charging?"

What charge does the battery indicator say it's at? Windows won't allow charging until battery capacity has dropped below 90%. So, if you plug it in at 95%, you'll get that message.

I purchased a Lenovo Yoga 3.14 laptop from Best Buy about a year and a half ago. Unfortunately I have had to send it out twice so far because the keyboard stopped working. It was within warranty, so this cost me $0. Now, the computer won?t turn on at all (just 4 months after my warranty expired). I went to best buy to have the computer looked at and was told it may be a big problem. The computer has no physical or water damage of any kind. Sending it out for testing and repair it will likely cost me over $500. The computer was originally $800 and with its record of needing repairs I don?t think it would be wise to repair it just to have it break again (as it does once every six months.) I am finding it very difficult to get any support information from lenovo itself. I have never heard of a computer breaking so quickly and so often. I sent them feedback, but I dont actually know if they will contact me about it. Has anyone else had success using 'feedback' or over the phone? I love this computer and I would buy it again if I knew it wouldnt have these issues or they would give me some guarantee or discount. Thanks for any help!

Last night while finishing a word document I found my documents to be having issues saving. When attempting to auto save it would want to save to a separate drive. It then refused to turn off through the power off button in the start menu. Tired and getting fed up with it I hard booted it with the power button. This morning I attempt to turn it on, goes to a blue screen requesting a language for the keyboard then goes to another blue screen with troubleshooting options or shut off pc. After attempting the auto repair a message pops up saying I need to restart and try again. It's getting into the tip of assessment week and I need this laptop asap as it has all my documents on it. Any Help Would be appreciated. Thanks In Advance!

Pretty much just as the description says. Im not sure what the problem is. When I try to download the feeldriver from Wacom it says "a supported tablet was not found" or something like that. And calling Lenovo support was the most infuriating waste of 4 hours of my life as no one seemed to know anything about it. I know the pen is compatable to the latpop. Its the only one that is. Hello. I'm having a substandard issue with my Lenovo Yoga Laptop that I will try to explain in complete detail. First I'll summarize what's going on, then I'll list all  the details that could be related to this problem, no matter how small, in order of most likely related to least likely related. I'm an IT technician so I have some grasp of computer troubleshooting, just keep in mind. Alright, so the issue is that my Lenovo ThinkPad Yoga (can't find exact model, label only days Yoga and its dated in 2013) will not boot into Windows 10 after I have done an upgrade from Windows 8.1 using Microsoft's media creation tool. More specifically, I was able to do the firat time setup and boot on once but after searching for Windows updates and restarting, the computer will not boot on. The most likely reason for this I believe is that the laptop doesn't recognize the SSD with Windows 10 on it. It can detect it in some ways but not others. In Lenovo diagnostics I'm not able to run a storage test, which is an option I know is usually there because I've troubleshooted these before, which leads me to believe it doesn't recognize it. However, boot menu and BIOS recognize the drive. Attempting to boot to it from boot menu gives a long black screen and then it takes me back to boot menu. Letting my computer boot up normally also gives a long black screen after the ThinkPad logo and the automatically goes to boot menu. The other diagnostics for Lenovo hardware all pass. So some... Was happily using my Yoga 2 Pro when the screen switched off as I was using it, when I tried to restart it just started doing the 5 sec power light keyboard light the off repeatedly. Tried removing the battery connectors and leaving for over and hour and now it just lights the power button with no further action. Seems like a very common fault with this model from what I've read on the web, having deliberately specced the highest spec machine at great cost to keep it current for years, this is a major let down and disappointment. I don't use this machine that much and when I removed the back to access the batteries there wasn't any dust in the fans as it's been on so little, and very poor this has failed after reletively few hours of use. Obviously not in warranty anymore so anything I can do or it it just a waste of a lot of money.

Hi everyone, My laptop (Lenovo Yoga 710 Ideapad 15IKB 80V5) is not able to start up. I recently had an issue with my audio, so I uninstalled the audio drivers, reset my laptop, and tried to reinstall them. When I reinstalled Realtek, it did not launch or show that it was installed on my computer (and I tried this multiple times).I then went to restore my laptop to the point before I uninstalled the driver in the first place. The restoration did not work for whatever reason, and I received the blue screen saying something about my PC not restarting properly and that it would try to fix itself. I continued to get that same blue screen for a few times, and then it gave me a different screen with varying start up/restore options. I tried almost all of them besides ones that have to do with USB restore files (which I do not have). They did not work. I then got a black screen on start up with only my cursor. I tried stickykeys, ctrl-alt-delete, windows key-volume up, and any other boot up combinations I could think of. Nothing worked and the screen never changed. I'm stumped and I have no idea what to do and I need some advice and help. Thanks in advance.

Hi everyone!

After I discovered a rotation lock button on my Lenovo Yoga 2 pro, the start up screen has been out of sync. It's not like I've broken it or something, I just started using it and next time I turn the pc on, the screen is vertical (instead of horizontal) and won't go back with the help of that rotation button, it simply doesn't work. I log in (still looking at the vertical screen) and when I'm on my desktop I have to switch a mode (to a stand mode for example) for the computer to actually switch to horizontal screen. After that, the vertical screen doesn't bother me until I have to turn the computer back again.
Can anyone please help me solve it? Do you think it's something wrong with the button or it's something with the drivers?
I have previously switched from win 8 to win 10 (which had a lot of driver problems) and back to win 8 (which runs without a hitch apart from this particular issue).

Thanks in advance for all your help!

The lap top has been working with no issues since purchase, but last week it was being used and the battery was completely drained and it switched off. As it was not needed at that point, it was left until the following morning. When it was plugged in, it woudl not start. So we left it charging and still nothing. When you push the start button the keyboard lights up for a few seconds and then goes off and that is it. I have read through numerous other similiar issues and have tried all of the following with no success: 1. Pushed and held power button for times ranging from 20 seconds to 1 minute2. Tried reset button3. Opened up back and pulled plug out of battery, then tried various combinations of pushing power for extended periods, with no power cable etc, and then plugging back in again So now at a bit of a loss as tried everything I can read on line with people suggest, the only other but I have read is about removing RAM, but not sure where they, I think below the battery. So not sure if I need to completely remove the battery etc, but wanted to see if anyone else had any better / easier ideas before I try that. Thanks for any help and guidance Model number - Lenovo Yoga 2 13, Model name 20344

Thank you for viewing my post. The problem I am having is my Lenovo Yoga 710's start up/sign in screen glitches when I turn it on now. I noticed it started to do this yesterday, or maybe it was a few days ago. AKA, very recently. What I mean by "glitch" is that it likes to flicker from the image of the day background to a blank, black screen (indicating some kind of load?) and then back to the standard image of the day background. It happens fast, in a couple second intervals. It goes back and forth and does not stop until I click around an annoying amount to get the sign in bar to finally show up & stabilize, allowing me to type in my password and proceed from the ordeal. Once I am signed in, there are no problems otherwise (that I know of),  everything else runs beautifully. I will probably edit this post with an attached video. I just don't understand why this is happening, and if anyone has an idea how to fix this. It is not my laptop, entirely, I share it with my father. So I don't want him thinking that I did something horribly wrong to damage it, when whatever is happening seems like just an unattractive & annoying hiccup.

I bought this laptop in 2014, and had a great time with it. After roughly 2 years, the GTX860M died... booting up would result in a complete freeze before i could even log in. No BSOD whatsoever, just a complete freeze. Yes, i even reinstalled windows multiple times and tried to reinstall the drivers in safemode, nothing helped the situation. I could get around this by disabling the nvidia gpu in the BIOS, which was tricky, since the BIOS itself would freeze aswell after roughly 15 seconds. Then, the past few days my laptop screen would disable itself (it would just shut off, only my second monitor would work and hold all my windows, as if my laptop screen wasn't there). It also wouldn't boot properly from time to time either, the keyboard would light up (sometimes i couldn't change its brightness, and sometimes i could) but the screen would never turn on. I did some research and what seemed to help others was holding down the powerbutton for 10 seconds (didn't help), some even unplugged the battery and drained the system of power (which i did aswell, also didn't help). After that, the system would refuse to fire up at all. I can't get to the BIOS, the keyboard won't light up, i can't get to anything through the button next to the power button (forgot it's name). The power button just lights up for 5 seconds, and that's it. I checked the motherboard to see if anything blew, haven't found anything so far. i tried to switch the places for the RAM, doesn't help eit...
