Q: yoga 710-14IKB Touchpad not working probably

Hey, I just purchased a Yoga 710-14IKB , running win10, and everything seemse great, except the the touchpad. It works as a pointing device, but i can do no gestures with it, and sensitivity is extremely slow. Trying to change it in settings failed as the drive dosnt seem to install correctly. Trying to install from latest driver from Lenovo fails with a "No found device" error when starting the install. Trying to install the Synaptic's manually fails as well, and only the default ELAN driver seem to succeed Any idea what the issue could be ?

I recommend downloading and running DAP. It can help sort out any driver and firmware related issues on your system

It's worked out well for many of us in the past.

You can download it direct from this link http://downloaddap.org. (This link will open the download page of DAP so you can save a copy to your computer.)

My 2-year-old Lenovo YOGA 510 - 14KIB laptop has been unusable without an external keyboard and mouse for the last month after the latest windows 10 build. I've tried deleting and restoring the drivers but this didn't work. Now when I go to look for the drivers in the device manager I can't find them. I thought this would allow me to redownload them from the Lenovo support website but after trying this several times the only thing I can do with my keyboard is change the underglow of the keys and the touchpad doesn't work at all.  Any tips would be a huge help.

I have checked out other answers on the forum for the issue and none of the solutions work for me. I am summarizing my problem below: 1. Two-finger gestures like scrolling, zoom ,etc don't work in Windows 10 2. They work flawlessly in Linux based OSs3. Right click context menu 'disappears' in certain apps when ELAN driver is installed. This problem goes away with uninstalling the driver4. Touchpad under the ELAN settings in mouse settings tab shows no 'OPTIONS' as that is greyed out. The touchpad is detected as PS/2 mouse.I tried re-installing Windows 10. Latest touchpad drivers for the Lenovo Yoga 710 14IKB. The problem persists.

My touchpad stopped working. The mouse properties shows no hardware (Mouse Properties -> Hardware tab has no devices listed). When I go to Device Manager, there is no ?Mice and other pointing devices?. In settings, there is no Touchpad, only Mouse. Changing the Scheme in Mouse Pptions made it appear once when I first started having the issue, but then it stopped working again. It works with a USB mouse but it doesn?t seem to recognize the touchpad anymore. I downloaded the driver but that didn?t fix it. Selecting the Enable/Disable function key on the keyboard doesn?t fix it either. I?m not sure if it?s related, but I had my motherboard replaced a few months ago, although the mouse was working ok for about a month or two.  I went to the Best Buy where I bought it because it was still under warranty at the time and they shipped it to Lenovo for repair. Now the warranty is up. Any suggestions on what to do? Yoga 710-14IKB 80V4, Windows 10

Hi,      I bought my Lenovo YOGA 530-14IKB 3 months back, it worked fine, but I started to notice that bottom right quarter of the touch screen is not working, It is working when screen is at exact 90 degrees in laptop mode but when I tilt the screen back by some 10-15 degrees the bottom right part of the touch screen is not working. The lenovo pen is working fine on this section of screen. Facing same issue in tablet mode also. I don't think this is software issue, maybe the connection at the  hinge got screwed up. The laptop is still under warranty. All the Drivers are up to date. Can I get a replacement if I go to service center or is this a software issue which can be solved ?

Hello! I have a lenovo yoga 710-14IKB and I cannot get my camera to work despite trying every single solution listed on the internet. I have updated all the drivers. I have checked to make sure camera is turned on in privacy. I have checked my f8 button (lol). My antivirus software is not blocking it. When I look at my camera driver, it says it is working properly - below is a screenshot of my device manager. When I attempt to open my computer camera, I get error message 0xA00F4244 (0xC00DABE0) and then the app closes out. When I try to open my camera in other apps like skype, it says unknown error or camera not available. PLEASE HELP ME.  Do you think this may be a hardware issue? Are their any other ways I can attempt to get my camera to work that I have not tried yet? Any advice is appreciated.

Hello my name is Santiago. Today I tried to update my drivers using a third party software named "Driver Booster". As soon as I restarted my laptop I could notice that the touchpad was not working. As i didnīt create a restore point I restarted my computer back to factory settings in order to get rid of the drivers. But when the restart finished, the touchpad did not work either. I tried to look for touchpad drivers in the driver page of my computer but could not find any, in my settings I looked for touchpad and is nowhere to be seen, when I go to the hardware section of the mouse settings the box to enable touch pad isnt either, and lastly in my device manager in the sector of mouse & other pointing devices I can only see the driver of the Lenovo Pen Device. Does anybody know how to fix this problem? Because I already ran of options that I found on the internet. Thanks For Your Time.

Hello.I have very recently bought a new Lenovo Yoga 2 in 1 PC. I just today decided to watch some multimedia on it, but as I went on to insert my headphones (a very cheap set, but a working one), I found out they were not detected. I have tried two sets, both of which failed to work, and they both work on my phone. One is equipped with a built in microphone, the other one isn't. I have the most updated drivers, and have gone through the procedure of updating them. I also tried going into the Realtek Audio Console, and in the "Advanced information on your device" tab I find out it says "Connector Configuration..." permanently, no matter how long I wait (forgive unaccurate translation, my OS Language is set to Italian and I am unaware of the English wording for this specific situation). I also seem to not have the "Realtek HD Audio Controller" which many articles seem to point at.  My first thought was an incompatible set, but then again, it never occoured to me that simple jack headphones would not be compatible with any device. However, I am quite confident it's not an hardware issue as many people seem to have similar issues to mine, but I can't be sure of it. Any suggestions? EDIT: I am quite sure I opened this thread in the wrong section, I have already opened another one in the correct one. Sorry for it.

To start with, go to Control Panel>Hardware and Sound>Sound then in Playback right click and enable 'show disabled and disconnected devices' and check if you can find your headphones.

I have Lenovo Yoga 530 14ikb which I bought in South Korea. The exact model number is 81EK0063KR. Active pen 1 was delivered together when I bought my laptop, but it's broken, so I want to buy a new active pen now. Since I did a lot of drawing and writing with active pen 1, I thought active pen 2 will give me better experience. So, before going to buy active pen 2, I want to check if it's working with my laptop. I've checked some posts from this community, some people said, active pen 2 is working with Yoga 530, but in official Lenovo website, my laptop is not included in the list of compatibility of active pen 2. I need to buy it as quick as possible. I would be quite appreciate, if you clarify my doubt.Thank you for reading, wating for reply.

Hi everyone! A couple of days ago I took my yoga to work and was using my headphones and since then I cannot get the speakers to work. I can still use my headphones and the sound works just fine. I had a similar issue once before, but with the microphone, not the speakers but managed to fix that myself. I updated the drivers and rebooted my laptop. When I go on playback devices the speakers are active and supposedly working (e.g. when I have music playing in the background it shows it moving on the bars, but I cannot hear anything). I also ran the Windows Audio Troubleshooter which did not help. I also had a system update two days ago, but the speakers were not working prior to that. I doubt that it is a hardware problem, considering that the speakers were working fine just before I plugged my headphones in. Does anyone have an idea on how to fix this?  Thank you in advance!

Hey, all. I'm writing this because I'm pretty perplexed about what's going on here, and I'm hoping someone can offer some advice. Several days ago, I noticed that the G and H keys were not functioning quite right. They would stop working, seemingly at random, and I could fix it momentarily by holding them down for a moment, but it didn't last long. Then I noticed the same thing with several others, including the tab key and the left alt. Now, when they do work, it's slower than the other keys. I mean that I frequently mistype certain words that were never a problem for me before. "That" becomes "taht," for example. We all make mistakes from time to time, but these mistakes are new and extremely frequent (and extremely irritating). I don't put liquids near my laptop -- ever -- because I actually did ruin one and had to get really creative, really quickly, to solve the problems that created. At first I thought maybe there were a couple of food particles under the G and H, like a seed or two from an everything bagel. But I haven't had one of those since before this all started, so it doesn't explain the tab and left alt keys. The only thing I can think of is that my cat has been walking on my laptop more frequently in the last few weeks. But I've had cats all my life, and most of them have sat on at least one laptop, but never caused this problem. She also doesn't go outside, except to chill on the porch (we live on the second floor, it's kind of a small balcony a... Read more

I upgraded my yoga 2 pro to windows 10 last night.  I went to the support page and downloaded all new drivers for the thing, in particular the synaptics touch pad drivers.  Before I did that, gesture support was severly limited.  Despite the settings saying it was enabled, two finger tap and scrolling was disabled. In any event, after I got the latest drivers, I discovered the following.. (i define a tap as just a forceful touch, where as a click involves pressing the trackpad until it clicks) single finger tapping workssingle finger clicking works.two finger tapping does not worktwo finger clicking does worktwo finger scrolling worksI suspect most two finger gestures work, but I havent tested them all.three finger gestures workfour finger gestures work basically, everything works as the settings dialogs were configured, except two finger tap.  two finger click works just fine.  Ive got the v19.0.9.5 19May15 synptics driver installed.  The config tool to adjust gestures works, and most of its settings are behaving properly. Just two finger tap is failing. Any thoughts?

Hey everyone, I have one or really two issues, but they may be connected. I bought the Yoga 900 3 months ago and yesterday I found out that the hotkey for disabling the touchpad worked only oneway meaning I pressed it and the touchpad would disable but I couldn't unlock it again no matter how often I pressed the key again (in combination with fn and also without). I needed to go to standby and then log in again for it to be re-enabled. I updated a hotkey driver, and afterwards when I disabled the touchpad with the hotkey it did still not work. So I went into standby and the whole laptop did not react to me pressing the standby/on switch on the right side for like 5 min. It just stayed off with a black screen. After a while it rebooted completely. Ever since then everything works fine except that the hotkey/f6 doesn't do anything now, not even disabling the touchpad. Can anyone help?

I've recently (13th of April) bought new Yoga 530-14IKB. It has adequate CPU i3-8130U, which is faster than i5-6200U in my sister's Acer laptop, but I anyway don't play any games. My computer appears to be recognizing the keyboard on the device manager as well. This had been giving me troubles on and off for years, but I don't remember how I used to fix it (usually a reboot would solve the issue, although sometimes it would take multiple). Any help would be much appreciated.
