Intel WIMAX 6150 bluetooth not working after Windows 7 to Windows 8 then Windows 10 upgrade

Q: Intel WIMAX 6150 bluetooth not working after Windows 7 to Windows 8 then Windows 10 upgrade

When I upgraded I lost use of the bluetooth service on my HP Pavillion DV7 notebook with
Intel Centrino Wireless-N o + WiMAX 6150 chip. The bluetooth driver was not working and identified as the Atheros driver. I went to the Intel site and downloaded and updated the latest Wimax 6150 driver for Windows 10 64 bit and
also updated the laptop chipset. The bluetooth driver was unchanged.
Upon further reading on the Intel site, I read that when the Wimax 6150 is using Windows 7, the bluetooth driver is Atheros, but when using Windows 8.1, or 10, it requires a Wimax 6150 bluetooth driver. Fair enough, except that Intel
does not offer this particular driver!
I tried first to update the Atheros driver, but it said it was the latest one, and up to date. I then deleted the Atheros driver hoping that its replacement would be installed with the Wimax 6150 update, but nothing happened. Now,
in Device Manager, I no longer have a line for bluetooth since I deleted the Atheros driver. Can someone point me to a site that has a Wimax 6150 bluetooth driver for Windows 10- I'd like to use my bluetooth service on this laptop!

I recommend downloading and running DAP. It can help sort out any driver and firmware related issues on your system

It's worked out well for many of us in the past.

You can download it direct from this link http://downloaddap.org. (This link will open the download page of DAP so you can save a copy to your computer.)

Hello, I have a Lenovo v570 1066 laptop. It came with Windows 7, but over the years I upgraded to Windows 8, 8.1, and 10. After the recent Creators update I started having hardware problems with Windows 10. I decided to downgrade back to Windows 8.1. I did a complete wipe of the hard drive and installed Windows 8.1 successfully. I installed all the most recent Windows updates and drivers for my hardware. However, every time I reboot or shut down the computer and boot up again, the WiFi stops working. If I go into the device manager and reinstall the driver then it works fine, but as soon as I reboot it happens again. Essentially every time that I restart the machine I have to reinstall the driver for the wireless adapter. This is a link to the "steps" from the Windows Step Recorder showing what I am talking about. Steps recorded for updating driver I found this link on another Lenovo page where this person solved connection problems by changing the boot priority of Windows Boot Manager, however, I have no way to get into BIOS/UEFI. I have tried using the keyboard during bootup to no avail. I have also tried the following method (Steps recorded for trying to access UEFI) followed by Restart Now, Troubleshooting, and Advanced Options, but the tile for UEFI Firmware settings is not there. Has anybody else had a similar problem? Does anybody know how to fix this? Thanks!

Hello, I have a ProBook 4720s, and after I upgraded to Windows 10, my bluetooth stopped working. I have checked in Device Manager, and there are no bluetooth devices anymore. There aren't any unknown devices either.

A:Bluetooth stopped working after Windows 10 upgrade

Hi: If you had the HP Wireless Assistant or Connection Manager software installed, most likely the bluetooth was turned off at the time you upgraded, and now you can't turn it back on unless you revert to Windows 7, turn the bluetooth on, uninstall the HP wireless assistant or connection manager software, restart the PC, verify the BT is on and then upgrade back to W10. I do not believe the wireless assistant or connection manager software will install on W10, but I guess you can try that first.

I want to play music on my mobile phone but listen the sound on my E5450 laptop, using bluetooth (not other methods)
I have paired the device with the laptop, but I see no options in Windows about what bluetooth services is Windows offering to paired devices.
The laptop is using latest Intel bluetooth driver for the device that appears in device manager with name "Intel Wireless Bluetooth", with these hardware ids:
There is a "bluetooth headset service" on windows with start type manual, I've started hoping it would allow phone to "see" the laptop as a bluetooth audio headset but no change.
I remember old Windows had a "Services" tab sheet on the bluetooth settings but on my W10 is gone.
Is this gone for good from Windows 10, or only on my laptop? Using latest released windows version.

A:How to view/enable bluetooth services (bluetooth windows service is already working) on E5450 with Windows 10?

I?m not sure where to find that info, but streaming audio from your phone to the PC would require that the PC act as an A2DP target, and to my knowledge Windows only acts as an A2DP source.

Hi, I found this notice on HP support: Computers configured with Intel Broadwell (Intel Core i3-5xxx, Core i5-5xxx, Core i7-5xxx; Pentium 38xx, Celeron 37xx/32xx) or Haswell (Intel Core i3-4xxx, i5-4xxx, i7-4xxx; Pentium 35xx, Celeron 29xx) processors and 32-bit versions of Windows 8.1 are not capable of upgrading to Windows 10 using the Windows Upgrade tool. I think my computer has one of these processors. But I have 64 bit version Windows.  So is this true for computers that have processors mentioned AND 32-bit verions of Windows? In other words, is it OK to upgrade if you have 64-bit version of Windows and one of these processors? Because it also says: To upgrade to Windows 10 64-bit you can either (a) perform a clean install to upgrade to Windows 7 or 8.1 64-bit and then use the Windows Upgrade tool to upgrade to Windows 10 64-bit.    Thank you for your answer.

A:No Bluetooth at all after windows 10 upgrade

If you identify the bluetooth and wifi adapter module by its nam and model or PCI\VEN character string we wil try to help you find a driver.  An HDX model is well back in generations from tcurrent models, so promises certainly cannot be made. If we can't find a driver, then you can purchase a Windows 10 compliant usb bluetooth dongle to replace the installed adapter.

This is a post explaining my Bluetooth issues and how I resolved it.  It's a good thing.  I never found anywhere in my searches this answer but it does work.  Here's the story.
After upgrading to Windows 10 back when it first came out, I struggled with the Bluetooth reception and the ability to use Bluetooth devices (bose mini and Plantronics m55 headset).  Then in my efforts to resolve it and loading all the latest drivers, somehow I stumbled across the driver that works how it should.  This is what I mean.
When you originally connect the device, then turn it off, when you turn it back on it wouldn't reconnect AND play without removing the Bluetooth device and the re-pairing it.  Now, when I turn the device back on it automatically reconnects and works like it should.  It's a beautiful thing.
Usually it wants to update the driver or install as original the Intel N6230 Bluetooth driver (it will say something like that in device manager, but with more words).  That is a troublesome driver.  Instead, you should use the "Intel Wireless Bluetooth Driver" - do a search, I downloaded the cab file from softpedia.  After downloading, you have to uninstall any driver currently being used through "programs and features" and/or "device manager".  Just the one that's the Bluetooth driver, not the enumerator or anything else.  After you uninstall it, in device ma... This situation remains for at least a month and a half and I can not update the windows to version 10.

Someone can help me solve this problem?

This is very strange… i think this must be some kind of Windows bug… i would recommend you to check whether all Windows updates and fixes are installed…

Furthermore the unit is listed as a Win 10 upgrade supported model, therefore Win 10 upgrade should be possible.

The unit is listed here: http://win10upgrade.toshiba.com/swup...spx?region=TEG

The Win 10 driver can be downloaded and updated from this page:

but in case the Windows 10 upgrade using the automatic upgrade procedure would not work, try to upgrade Windows 10 using the media creation tool

I have an HP Compaq 6710b. Bought it specifically for the bluetooth but now with Windows 10 it Doesn't work. A:Bluetooth isn't working with windows 10

Hi: Windows 10 should have automatically installed the bluetooth driver. I have the HP 6910p with the same bluetooth module, and it works just fine on W10. In the device manager, do you see a bluetooth radios icon near the top of the list? If not, when you upgraded to W10, most likely the BT was turned off by the wireless assistant. The only way you are going to get the BT to ever show up again would be to go back to W7, make sure you turn the BT radio back on, uninstall the wireless assistant, restart the PC, confirm the bluetooth is still on, and then go back to W10. There are no W8, 8.1 or W10 stadalone drivers for that BT module and you cannot add any other internal wireless or BT device other than those listed in the 6710b service manual. If you still see an unknown device in the device manager needing the driver, it isn't the bluetooth module. It is most likely the 3D driveguard device that needs the driver, and you can get that from the link below. ftp://ftp.hp.com/pub/softpaq/sp64001-64500/sp64144.exe

I have a bluetooth module (Broadcom 2070) installed in my laptop.
The hardware seems to be functioning fine (at least from Device Manager). However, when I go to Bluetooth Settings, all I see is this:
I'm not able to remove the Bluetooth Mouse there, and I'm also not able to detect any Bluetooth devices at all. I've even tried to use a Bluetooth dongle but to no avail. I've seen some suggested solutions to enable Bluetooth Support Services (which I have, and placed under Local Access), but this doesn't work for me as well.
And oh, I've downloaded and installed the latest WIDCOMM drivers.

Could anyone help me as I'm at my wit's end? Thank you so much in advance.

Hello Ginmardo,

Have you tried pairing the two together so you can access your PC files from your Phone.

I have mine set that way (I use a Samsung Tocco Lite) and it is so much easier as you don't have to be at the PC to transfer but it does have to be on of course.

See if that helps.

My problem is somewhat similar. Upgraded from Vista to 7 on my Dell Studio 1735, now bluetooth is not detecting squat! The module is in the Device Manager, the icon is in the task try, the module is on, but it doesn't find anything. Yes, I've also gone in and ticked the box that says 'allow devices to connect' - still zilch!

My phone detects my bluetooth on the laptop, so obviously it's sending a signal! I've downloaded the correct drivers, at least windows did that for me automatically. I think there is a patch for it somewhere, but I'll be damned if I can find it anywhere.

Hi: There is a very good chance your notebook didn't come with built in bluetooth networking. It all depends on what model wireless network adapter your notebook has. Some are combination wifi/bluetooth adapters, and some aren't. If you let me know what model wireless network adapter your notebook has, I will let you know what type wireless card it is. If you don't know the model, go to the device manager, click to expand the Network Adapters device manager category, and there you will find the name and model number of the wireless network adapter.

I have an Inspiron 1420 with built-in bluetooth.

I recently upgraded to Windows 7 from Vista and the bluetooth does not work anymore.

1 Bluetooth does not appear in device manager or control panel anymore
2 The 'Radio On-Off' switch on the front of the laptop no longer controls the bluetooth
--a. Dell Quickset switch options does not let me select Bluetooth
3 The WIDCOMM bluetooth software does not even open on my computer anymore
--a. I uninstalled WIDCOMM in order to install the latest driver from Dell
--b. I cannot finish installing this driver (R140135) because it tells me to turn on the blutooth hardware using Fn+F2 (my keyboard does not have this shortcut)
4 I have tried using the BTW bluetooth patch from Dell but it does not work (R159805)

Essentially, my computer does not seem to know that there is bluetooth hardware built into it. The 'bluetooth sensor light' (next to the power and wifi lights) has remained off since I installed windows 7.

I would appreciate if someone could provide a solution to my problem. Please let me know if you require more information on my laptop

You are not going to like this answer, but it is the best and almost all would agree. You made a mistake when you upgraded, you should do a clean install. This is just the beginning of the problems.

Do it over. Do a clean install. I know you dont want to install programs, again, etc. But it is for the best. That is the only way to fix this and everything else that will happen.

I have 3 Probook 4530s Laptops. They have i5 CPUs USB 2.0 and 3.0 ports along with bluetooth 3.0 and HD display. The WiFi adapter speed  is 150mb on 2.4 gz band. At this time they all have 4g RAM and 1Tb hhd installed. I like the units as all of them were built in May and June, 2012. What I need to do is increase the internet connection speed plus add the 5.8 band to the 2.4 band. I would not like to have anything sticking out of the side of the computer that needed to be removed that might get lost. Can I replace the internal WiFi + Bluetooth 3.0 adapter to pickup the speed and both bands? If so, can anyone tell me what adapter I need to me looking for and what driver. I do not want to loose the bluetooth in all of this as I know the kids will want to use it.This whole building project I guess is my way of telling them that I'm with them if they need any help. Our time means more to them then money these days. Any help or guidance would be greatly appreciated. Respectfully.

I want to upgrade my Win7 dsktop to Windows 10
However I’ve seen quite a few complaints about graphics issue
I ran speccy and it reports
Intel® Q45/Q43 Express Driver version:
I went to http://www.intel.com/p/en_US/support/ and followed through with the requested information
It reports compatibility for Windows 8 and 8.1
Does that mean I shouldn’t bother upgrading to Windows 10?

A:Windows 10 upgrade concern about graphics Intel(R) Q45/Q43

It may work, just have a fallback image of some kind

Hello everyone, I upgraded my PC from Windows 8.1 to Windows 10 today. Everything else is working fine but the bluetooth driver seems to be incompatible. I had the 'Mediatek (Ralink) bluetooth software driver for Windows 8.1' installed earlier, which doesn't work with Windows 10. I checked with the Ralink website and the HP driver support but didn't find anything as yet.  My question is, will the driver for Windows 10 be made available soon?thanks

Hi @abhishek95? ,Thank you for visiting the HP Forums! A great place where you can find solutions for your issues, with help from the community!I came across your post about the Notebook, and wanted to assist you! I have looked into your issue about your HP Pavilion 15-n010tx Notebook and issue with drivers for Bluetooth and Windows 10. Here is troubleshooting when drivers are not available yet. Have you tried in the Device Manager to update the driver that is currently installed? In the device manager try selecting find new hardware. Here is a link to the HP Support Assistant if you need it. It has a Wireless support assistant inside it that might help you. The updated drivers will be posted as available. We are seeing them update regularly. I would check back to your drivers page. I hope this helps. Thanks.

Hello everyone, if anyone has had the horrible task of trying to get his or her bluetooth working after upgrading to windows 8.1, then look no further.  It took me hours and hours of faffing and fist raging, but in the end, there can be only one.  Anyway...Here is your solution.....Ps! I already upgraded to Windows 10, but went back to 8.1 as it trashed my PC and cost me 3.5 half days of painstaking re-install to get my laptop to work again. (WINDOWS 10...DONT BOTHER IN MY OPINION) I have :  ACER V3-571 64 BIT WIN 8.1  AGAIN. . IF YOU UPGRADE THIS LAPTOP TO WINDOWS 10...YOUR DOLBY V4 WILL STOP WORKING...was the start of a new nightmare for me.  MICROSOFT UPGRADE YOUR ACER WITH THEIR OWN DRIVERS WHEN YOU UPGRADE TO A NEW OPERATING SYSTEM, OFTEN THIS LEADS TO STUPID FIDDLY THINGS LIKE APPS AND APPLICATIONS NO LONGER WORKING.... SO here we go!!! SOLUTION TO BLUETOOTH NOT WORKING V3-571 ACER WIN 8.1 64-----------------------------------------------------------------------------------1) Switch off your bluetooth    .........search top right screen > Settings > Bluetooth > Toggle off!2) Right Click your windows logo on the left hand side of your screen > device manager > Bluetooth >Uninstall totally the bluetooth driver and or delete.3) Exit device manager.4) www.google. > find acer drivers > acer website.  On website to find drivers, use auto detect serial number > go to your downloads folder >open dow... I personally don't use bluetooth on my laptop (I have the same model as you) but like you reverted back to W8.1 after seven days of trying to resolve issues with Dolby Home Theatre v4 not working and my cold boot time being in excess of 3minutes! Regarding the Dolby issue not working in W10, apparently if you install the latest Realtek drivers from their official site (think current version R2.79) it solves it, and installs a new version of Dolby Home Theatre which is compatible with W10. Haven't tried it myself as I daren't go back to W10, but if anyone else stumbles upon this post it may be worth a try before giving up. Am hoping that by the end of June 2016 Microsoft and all of the manufacturers have ironed out all of the glitches. I might then give it another try.

I'm having issues with bluetooth on my Lenovo ThinkCentre m73. It's running Windows 10. the bluetooth devices worked for quite a while since I upgraded it to windows 10 but in the last month or so no bluetooth devices have worked. I noticed it first with my Bosebeat Bluetooth Headset. The Headphones work over bluetooth with every other device so I have ruled that out. I have tried troubleshooting the Windows 10 forums. But windows doesn't recognize an internal bluetooth device is present. Bluetooth drivers are not recognized in the action center or device Manager.  I tried to delete the "unknown USB Device ..." (depicted in the image below), then install the bluetooth drivers from Lenovo but have not had any success. Can any one help me out?

Hello, Yesterday my PC updated itself with some new updates from Microsoft. Ever since then, Bluetooth has not worked on my laptop. Not only doesn't it work, but it seems that it doesn't even know it has bluetooth anymore in that Bluetooth isn't even an option in Settings/Devices and doesn't appear in Device Manager. I have been to HP driver update centre and downloaded all of the latest networking related drivers and also used the Intel driver download software to download their latest drivers too.  All to no avail. Can you help please?

Im trying to connect my bluetooth headset to my laptop, but the bluetooth wont work properly.

The headphones work with the laptop, I used them before. But randomly, they stopped working. Bluetooth is on, and im pretty sure im doing everything correctly.

In the PC Settings, bluetooth keeps randomly dissapearing, and reappearing. When I click pair on the headset (Vomach BH1), it says "That Didn't Work" and under it says "Try again, and make sure your bluetooth device is still discoverable", even though im not even touching it, and it is still in pairing mode, and also within a meter, which is fully within its bluetooth range. Anyone know how to fix this?

you can use the file named inst.exe as administrator which successfully installed the driver and working now .
I hope this will help.
