Q: Solved: Having trouble with add ons. Pleas help!!

I keep getting a pop up message that says: "speed up browsing by disabling add-ons"...but I'm confused as to which "add on's" I should disable, for there's three that show up when I click on the the disable add on's thingy...lol, which says to click on it to disable add on's, yet I havent disabled anything yet...because I dont want to accidently mess up anything by doing so...so I'm hoping someone here can help me, here all the add on that are there now, and the seconds they have on them: real networks download, and record(20 seconds)...adobe pdf link helper(3 seconds)...office document cache handler(2 seconds)...I know what looks obvious...yes...get rid of the add on that has the most seconds...but still...I wanna make sure to talk with experts before I make any move, especially if it could possibly mess up my laptop. So if u please, please help me here. Thanks.

I recommend downloading and running Reimage. It's a computer repair tool that has been proven to identify and fix many Windows problems with a high level of success.

I've used it in the past to identify and fix everything from blue screens (BSOD's), ActiveX errors, corrupt files and processes, dll/exe/sys errors, recover lost memory, Windows update problems, defragging, malware removal etc.

You can download it direct from this link http://downloadreimage.com/download.php. (This link will automatically start a download of Reimage that you can save to your computer.)

Hello,
I reccently downloaded a realtek high def audio driver but after i booted i recieved a blue screen after windows xp screen.
0x0000007f (0x00000000 x4)
I am not sure if the problem is hardware or software. Also, i was wondering if their is a bios command to check my RAM.

A:[SOLVED] Pleas help - Blue screen

The error message is due to hardware deffective it might be with memory, motherboard or CPU processor overheating due to overclocking. But to confirm where the problem.

First uninstall the audio driver and download the upgrade version of it. (If you had installed the upgraded audio driver than suggest you to use the "Roll back" options to use the pervious driver installed.)

2. Go to BIOS settings and run a memory diagnostic tool to find out is there any problem with your memory RAM.

3. Check the tempertaure of the CPU from BIOS Settings or download Hardware Monitor http://www.cpuid.com/download/hwmoni...onitor_116.zip
(HWMonitor is a hardware monitoring program that reads PC systems main health sensors : 1. voltages, 2. temperatures, 3. fans speed. )
Save the log file and post it.

HP Computer

Its a neighbor of mine I help them take care of their computer all the time.

The problem is the screen freezing randomly, it might be in 3 min might be 5 or 10 or 25, it does it after it has been turned off for awhile or all night or when you have been on it for awhile or quite awhile. Point being its not heating up cause it does it when it has been off for hours them 3 or 4 min after it is turned on or sometime it might be 2 hours after you turn it on. I had a thread a couple of weeks ago about this same computer I came to the conclusion that it was the Powersupply, so I put in a brand new 400W powersupply and it ran great (no freeze ups for a few days then all of a sudden it started in again).

The mouse freezes so they can't do anything but shut it down at the tower so I gave them another usb mouse tonight and told them when it freezes to unplug there mouse and put the new usb mouse in and see it it works right away then it would be the mouse. I have great doubts about it being that but I am at witts end. I consider myself pretty good at fixing computers hardware and software problems but I am lost. I have no idea. I looked in the divice manager everything is ok, checked the events and nothing happening there. I know the computer is clean of viruses or spyware cause I keep it clean for them monthly.

A:Solved: Windows XP SP2- Screen freezing-no pattern- but lots- Can someone help? Pleas

The first thing that comes to mind with older machines is overheating. They can accumulate a lot of dust (even in the cleanest places) and fans can get bogged down. Check all your air intakes and remove dust from the interior. Make sure that all fans are moving (including the one on the graphics card, if present).

While inside, check all your connectiuons and make sure the graphics card is firmly in its slot.

If that doesn't help, try a memory test:

MemScope (Floppy and CD images.)
Microsoft Memory Test (floppy or CD ISO image)
Memtest86

If you have enough memory sticks, you can test them by removing one at a time and see if the problem disappears.

If you are running Vista and can boot up, go to Start > Search and type:

mdsched.exe

Choose to run a memory diagnostic on next boot. Or, you can boot from the DVD and run it from there.

Normally a Vista upgrade archives your old XP files into a folder called "Windows Old" and leaves it in the new Vista installation on the C drive. You can save files from this folder or delete the folder if you wish.

Vista would not have left XP installed.

Got a nice pc and Im always running at 60 fps in wow.
for about a week ago I downloaded new BIOS update thing and my fps went to hell after i restartet my pc.

I have not downloaded new drivers for my graphic card. so thats might the problem?

The BIOS and grapichard must work together and they dont without new drivers for the graphic card? Is that so?

Found it weird that the update made the computer slower...

Can i get my old BIOS back in some way? and is it risky to flash it? what should i do?

As i said it has always been running at 60 fps. Never under 50 at raid..

That bios update has screwed my pc up

A:pleas help me!

You should always update your graphics card drivers when an update is released. There is really no need to ever update your BIOS drivers, I never have, and I've never needed to.

After you update your BIOS, you need to check if all the BIOS values are set correctly (Updating your BIOS can change important values that can mess up your computer).

Since I don't know what kind of computer/BIOS you have, I can't really help you, but you can go into your BIOS if you don't remember the values and see if their is either a "Reset to default settings" or "Load optimized defaults" setting, if there is, then do it, that might reset it to the proper values.

I DO NOT suggest your flash your BIOS unless you really do know how and you know the dangers of doing it, because if you mess up you can destroy your entire computer, or at the very least, have a computer without a working BIOS (AKA, not useable).

Oh, and also, this belongs in the Hardware section, not the Games section.

You have no virus protection!!!!!!!!

Do a couple online scans from this list

http://forums.techguy.org/t110854.html

Then get AVG install it, check for updates and run a full scan – its free

AVG http://free.grisoft.com/freeweb.php/doc/2/

Then get the current version of HJT and put in a folder like C:\HJT

http://www.majorgeeks.com/download3155.html

Add/remove programs remove MySearch - NavExcel Search Toolbar - Ares Lite Edition

P2P is the source of your problems

Do all of the above – reboot and post a new log

Hello,It's better to print out the next instructions or save them in notepad, because you also have to work in safe mode without networking support, so this page wouldn't be available then.It is also important you don't miss a step and perform everything in the right order!!* Download smitRem and save the file to your desktop.Doubleclick it and choose install. This will create a new folder on your desktop with the name smitrem.* Reboot into Safe Mode`: ( without networking support !)?To get into the Safe mode as the computer is booting press and hold your "F8 Key". Use your arrow keys to move to "Safe Mode" and press your Enter key.* Start HijackThis, close all open windows leaving only HijackThis running. Place a check against each of the following if still present:O2 - BHO: Nothing - {6ab7158b-4bff-4160-ad7d-4d622df548cf} - C:\WINDOWS\system32\hp100.tmpO16 - DPF: {1D4DB7D2-6EC9-47A3-BD87-1E41684E07BB} - http://ak.imgfarm.com/images/nocache/funwe...tup1.0.0.15.cab* Click on Fix Checked when finished and exit HijackThis.Make sure your Internet Explorer is closed when you click Fix Checked!* Open the smitRem folder, then double click the RunThis.bat file to start the tool. Follow the prompts on screen.Wait for the tool to complete and disk cleanup to finish.* Reboot back into Windows normal mode.* Update your Sun Java:Updating Java:Go to Start > Control Panel double-click on the Software icon > add/remove programs.S... Okie so I really have no idea whats going on with my laptop but i have had nothing but problems with my Acer Laptop and it its not the hardware going its the software and as a uni student I don't have the money to get a new one. Basically the issue at the moment is I am unable to install/download new software. I only noticed it after trying to update my itunes to the most recent version...sometimes it will install and the when i go to open it this window comes up

(image needs to be opened in a new window/tab) it's a link to my facebook photo album I hope it opens. if not it reads

The item ‘iTunes.exe’ that this shortcut refers to has been changed or moved, so this shortcut will no longer work properly.
Do you want to delete this shortcut?

other times it will just stop downloading all together.

other examples are I recently downloaded the new EA Games Account Manager (Origin) and well it worked fine for a few days as i was putting my computer on sleep rather then shutting down. But after shutting it down and restarting it yesterday the same problem message has come up about that program'

My mum said its probably to do with my firewall and internet security but the same is happening to programs I've downloaded from the disc so I don't think that's what it is.
(Digital Downloads: ITunes+Quicktime player, Origin, Sims 2 university life collection expansion pack)
(Disc Downloads Titan Quest (game) & Sims 2)
