Q: issues with 3D games lenovo ideapad y700 - I think it's from intel 530 graphics driver

Hello, I have an Ideapag y700 (I7-6700HQ; 16GB; NVIDIA GEFORCE GTX 960M 4gb). i got the laptop in january and for about 2 weeks 3D games worked well (tried with Dragon Age Inquisition and Football Manager 2017). Then ... everything went wrong... And I could not get the games to open (I got various errors - Blue Screens). I did however see that the problem is form the Intel graphics (it will not update - it remains with version 20.19.15.4474, even though on the Intel website there are a couple of updates available). I tried some updates but the computer keeps crashing. Anyone has any clues as to what I can do ? I'm attaching a dump file from FM 2017 game ...

I recommend downloading and running DAP. It can help sort out any driver and firmware related issues on your system

It's worked out well for many of us in the past.

You can download it direct from this link http://downloaddap.org. (This link will open the download page of DAP so you can save a copy to your computer.)

Good evening, It's more about notifying (and perhaps helping other people): using latest NVidia from Lenovo on an Ideapad Y700-15ISK (GeForce GTX 960M) gives poor performances with Windows 10 Creators Fall Update on old games such as Wolfenstein Enemy Territory or Sven-Co-Op; I had an older build before and it was running well.Updating to latest NVidia drivers through GeForce Experience, fixed.Had stable 125 FPS (with Lenovo drivers from October 2016), after Creators with Lenovo 25-40 FPS, and now again 125 FPS with latest non-Lenovo NVidia drivers.

Hello,  I have the Y700 Touch-15ISK Laptop (ideapad) which I received as a replacement for my last Lenovo which could not be fixed by Lenovo Support. Since I received this as a replacement, my warranty only lasted a month (the residual from my initial warranty). Now, I have only had it for a few months and it has had many instances of the blue screen of death with my computer suddenly needing a restart. I do not have warranty anymore so I am reaching out to you all. The hardware scan says the Mathmatical Operations Test on my Intel (HD) Graphics 550 card failed. I got the result code: WVC007002-UL7VFK. I could not find any information about this code online.  Through the Lenovo website I tried to update my Intel driver by downloading the one the website recommended for my computer after I entered my Serial # (I think it was Intel VGA) and after it downloaded I got a warning saying: "Error: The driver being installed is not validated for this computer. Obtain the appropriate driver from the computer's manufacturer. Setup will exit." Regarding the blue screen of death, there have been several different error messages, but the one that comes the most often is "DRIVER_POWER_STATE_FAILURE". The most recent blue screen message was "Stop Code: SYSTEM SERVICE EXCEPTION; What failed: igdkmd64.sys" I am not sure if these problems are related, but it seems the most important issue is the graphics driver since I use a lot o... When I first had this problem it would only freeze once a day. Now it happens everytime I try to play a game. I have seen some other posts on this forum to try to fix my problem but I still haven't found a fix. I have reinstalled windows, moved some games to my ssd, updated BIOS, updated graphics card drivers / downgrade drivers, etc and the problem continues to happpen. This it what actually happens: Im like 1 min into the game and then all of a sudden the whole laptop freezes and the audio from the game keeps on repeating. The laptop doesn't let me alt + tab, alt + F4, the mouse and keyboard doesn't work at all, I'm forced to do a force shut down. This problem only happens when I'm using the AMD grahics. If I play a game on the intel graphics it won't freeze but the game is barley even playable.I really want this problem fixed!  Please help me.

So apologies in advance if this is in the wrong session. My first time posting here and it's off my phone due to issues I am having with my Lenovo Ideapad Y700. So the internet connection has always had issues, such is the way with Lenovo products from reading about them for the past 9 months of owning one. And now I have s new problem. My internet was working fine two days ago, however since I moved to a different flat in the same building (same internet router as everyone else here), it won't pick up a single network whereas my other devices will. Do I need to update something some place? Did I turn something off on the hardware itself? Any way to fix this issue would be greatly appreciated.

My laptop has started to have blue screen errors in the last weeks/months.This is happening more and more frequently (1-2 times per week). This happens while working normally (maybe with music streaming on Chrome with Pandora or Spotify?). In addition to this from time to time (once every 1-2 months) it completely crushes / freezes and I can only turn it off with the power button. It's is worth mentioning that I like to keep the computer on with many programs running, many PDF/word files open, and many chrome tabs open, and to restart it only every few weeks. I have already tried to update all the drivers and windows (Windows 10 Education, version 1709, build 16299.371), also using the Lenovo tool to update the system but it looks like it is not enough. Could it be the old BIOS. I am still running CDCN25WW. Is it worth trying to update to CDCN54WW? I wouldn't like to cause more damage... Thanks!

I've been having issues with my NVIDIA Drivers becoming corrupt on my Y700 with the NVIDIA Geforce GTX 960M. Every few days when I try to play a DirectX games like Guild Wars 2 or Team Fortress 2, the games fail to launch. GW2 doesn't fire up after clicking the Play button in the launcher but there is not warning message. TF2 will give a Direct3D error when I try to launch it. In any case, the only solution I have found is to download and reinstall the NVIDIA drivers. I currently have driver verion 368.22 but this has been happening on older NVIDIA drivers as well. After reinstalling the NVIDIA drivers, everything works fine for a few days.

Hi everyone. I have an Ideapad Y460 running Win7 x64 SP1, with switchable graphics - Intel HD / Mobility Radeon 5650. When I tried to update my Intel hd graphics driver through Device Manager (Display adapters, right-clicked Intel HD Graphics, Driver tab, "update driver", "search automatically for updated driver software"), Device Manager for some reason changed "Intel HD graphics" to "Standard VGA graphics adapter" and resolution became 800x600. I rebooted, but after that, I couldn't roll back the driver (button was greyed out in Device Manager). I first tried the HD graphics driver from Intel's website for my processor (i5 430 M) but that had a driver signing issue. After disabling the driver signing enforcement, it led to the no-display issue, details in the next paragraph. I subsequently tried to install the Intel HD Graphics driver from the Lenovo support site (IN2VDO26WW6.exe), but after rebooting, there is no display after the "Starting Windows" screen. The sound at the login screen plays, and I can enter my password and have it log in (based on sound cues), and apparently everything loads fine (can shutdown using Run command), just that there is no display. I have tried setting my laptop's date to near the driver's date, to no avail. Any help would be greatly appreciated. Thank you in advance. (Yes I did a very stupid thing that caused this whole mess. :C  T_T  )

I recently updated my Lenovo Y410p to a SSD with a clean install of windows. Because of this, all my drivers are out of date. Some background on my laptop: When I first purchased it in 2014, the Intel Centrino N2230 wireless adapter was not working whatsoever. It was constantly dropping connection every minute. There were plenty of complaints about it online with many proposed solutions, all of which did not work for me. I spent weeks trying to troubleshoot the wireless card to no avail. My laptop essentially did not have wireless capabilities during this duration, until a driver update came through that fixed everything. So I went to update my graphics driver but Intel's updater said this computer uses a custom driver meaning I'd have to get it from this website. I did but it said that the driver was not validated for this computer, which is impossible because it was custom made for this computer's hardware. So I manually installed it and now it keeps giving me problems like seemingly randomly crashing with "display driver stopped responding" type errors when I play games, often either rendering them unplayable or crashing them, seemingly depending on the game. Some of them have no problem with this I think but after the latest update to Phantasy Star Online 2 for example, it keeps crashing with this error after a couple of minutes or so. Exactly what driver am I even supposed to be using?!

Hey everyone, My Intel HD graphics 520 driver continuously crashes and basically shuts down my computer. The power button/keys are still on, but I just get a black screen (with some light behind it), as if it is in sleep mode, and I cannot wake up my computer anymore. The only solution then is to just force it off by holding the power button and restart it. I feel it happens at random, but it seems to occur more often when I'm playing a video or something (although that may just be a coincidence). I've had this problem for a long time and have tried several times to reinstall or update the driver. Because I got so fed up with it I just disabled the driver and used the NVIDIA Geforce 920M driver, which works sort of fine with the only big disadvantages that I can't increase or reduce the brightness of my screen anymore and can't run certain programs/games properly. So, therefore, I'm still looking for a solution.  Can anybody help me out?

I'm having trouble installing the drivers for a Intel 82852/82855 GM/GME Graphics Controller in Windows 7 on a Gateway/Motion Computing M1300 tablet.

Before you say "DriverMax" please note that Windows 7 is the only operating system installed on the tablet. I hope there's another way to get it working.

Here's the thing that strikes me as odd: I have gotten it to work perfectly, but as soon as I restart it goes back to its old ways (default VGA controller driver, etc).

Here's what I do to get it working:

1) I run the setup file that came with the driver I downloaded from Intel (version 14.19.50), either natively or in Windows XP compatibility mode,
2) The setup software asks me to restart, and I comply

When the computer boots back up after those steps everything is working just fine, BUT then a Windows prompt appears telling me that I need to restart in order to complete the driver configuration. When I restart hardware once again has trouble.

Here are some screenshots that took while the driver was working correctly:

Why does it say that it will uninstall the drivers when restarted?

And here are some screenshots taken while the driver is NOT working correctly:

My real problem with not having the correct driver installed is not that display functions are lost (though they are), but that the Hibernate and Stand By modes are disabled.

Does anyone have any suggestions? Is there a way to keep Windows 7... Read more

I have this problem too. Because it defaults back to "standard VGA" when I watch video it is very "liney", in other words, not the full shilling.

No matter what I do I simply cannot convince Win7 that my driver, (exported using Drivermax), is the correct one and that is the one I want Win7 to use.

I tried doing it both ways, but after the reboot I'm still prompted to update to 26.10.100.7529. This is labeled as a critical update. I manually downloaded the driver and installed it. Hello !I have a Lenovo T570 (intel i5 version) with no graphic card in it, and i saw that some T570 (T570-20HAS01E00) are sold with graphic card (940MX). So I was wondering if there was any way I could add this same graphic card inside my laptop.Maybe if the base structure is the same, there is a slot waiting for that GC ? Thanks in advance !

I'm trying to enable the HD graphics so that I can use Intel Quick Sync to transcode video for plex but I can't find any way to do that. It's not available in my device manager.  I don't have any graphics options in the BIOS.  When I try to install updated drivers it says that they don't meet the requirements to run on this machine. I'm out of ideas.
